Made this little Lizzie puppet last year actually. Made the armature, body, clothes, mask, everything, from scratch. Really happy with her even if the eyes look like dead voids behind the mask. And I learnt so much! Maybe when I'm finally finished with uni I'll make dolls of other mcyt characters.

Great glue seepage infographic made by MisfitDollies on here! It includes a tutorial on taking care of it with goo gone specifically but I have been hearing people are getting better results with oxyclean lately.

Spice Shukat Room Guardian

They go live in my shop this Sunday 11/12 at 12pm EST.

The Spice Shukat has a rose quartz crystal heart. It stands about 10 inches tall and it has a coat of high quality faux fur that is very soft. The head and feet are cast in resin from an original sculpt. The hands are sculpted out of a flexible clay that does not break when bent. The neck, legs, and tail have a fully posable plastic ball and socket armature inside that will not wear out over time. The arms have a posable wire armature inside.

So with the announcement of Julie and Frank merch, it reminds me how I've been on the hunt for more dolls to modify into the Welcome Home characters!

It is insanely hard to find plus size male dolls that aren't a bajillion dollars and are specialty collector dolls. There's one Hagrid doll that I can use for Barnaby and thankfully I can get it second hand, it's just wild that out of all the dolls out there (other than the Jack Black action figure for the minecraft movie and a Maui from Moana doll), there aren't many plus size male dolls. I know that mattel is slowly getting on that with the Barbie main line with different body types, but still! Plus dying the Hagrid doll's skin is going to be a learning experience for sure.

Other than that, Frank and Eddie would most likely be Monster High or Ever After High dolls, so they can be taller than Wally and Julie and have the proper head size(debating on Manny Taur for Eddie but we'll see. EDIT: Found some Bratz boyz that would work great for them). For Sally, there are soooooo many possibilities. She could be any doll, really (there's Glo-up girl dolls that'd work well). Howdy may be a challenge, but hopefully not as hard as a hunt for a doll for Barnaby. My brain is like, Howdy is like the Man in the Big Yellow Hat xD Then for Poppy, I'm thinking either a My First Barbie or an ILY doll, because the MFB is a very tall doll, and ILYs are a 12" tall like most fashion dolls, but their head size would match the cave club dolls of Wally and Julie better.

One day I'm gonna mod them all and build a doll house and it's gonna be fun~

But for now, it's a slow journey lol

This Disney Descendants doll was in need of a new head! And what better head than a freshly hand painted pumpkin? Additionally, we got extra creative and dyed his body a rich brown to further evoke the feeling of fall. This Fall Gentleman comes with: burlap hat with fall leaf trim, sensible coat with fall leaf trim, yellow check shirt, brown check pants with fall leaf suspenders, burlap bag with flower details, fall leaf staff with glitter and twine details, boots, and the doll himself! His body is FULLY articulated, and this gentleman also has the exciting feature of being able to turn his head!

Behold! My custom doll tribute to the legendary mysterious untamable force known as *looks at smudged writing on hand* Johann Vasculitis? … Oops, uhh, I mean, Jhonen Vasquez! 😜😆

It's Mini Jhonen! Or perhaps Mini Vee?? Y’know, instead of “mini me?” 

I had a blast at Animate Des Moines this past weekend, and I was SO HAPPY the legendary elusive Jhonen Vasquez graced Iowa with his presence so I could have the opportunity to present him with this doll. I was ecstatic when he enthusiastically accepted it as the gift I intended it to be. 🤩🥰💖

This project started out as a long-haired “signature looks” Ken doll that I transformed into Jhonen with a full face repaint, cut and styled hair, and an outfit that looks like something he’d wear. (Not based on anything specific, just my attempt to fit his general style & aesthetic.) The clothes had to be bought from Etsy since I unfortunately don't have a sewing machine. Shoutout to Bouutique for the pants and to CraftsDepot2017 on Etsy for the shirt!

All accessories (minus the glasses), including the Question Sleep felt bag, mini Zim felt plush, and mini JTHM comic book were made by yours truly. Felt stuff was largely sewed together with needle and thread, and mini Johnny was simply resized printed sheets from the Director's Cut edition that I fixed to sturdier paper and cobbled together into a functioning tiny book. :P Please feel free to ask me any questions about my processes for any handcrafted work you see here!

This was the opportunity of a LIFETIME for me, and I'm so glad the stars aligned just right for me to experience something so amazing. I'm still reeling!!! 🤩🤩🤩
