Some recent work for a uni project, doing illustrations on The Wild Swans by Hans Christian Anderson. I wanted to try working with paper cutout and 3D because I really admire that style.

Mayor Lizzie of Animalia
Made this little Lizzie puppet last year actually. Made the armature, body, clothes, mask, everything, from scratch. Really happy with her even if the eyes look like dead voids behind the mask. And I learnt so much! Maybe when I'm finally finished with uni I'll make dolls of other mcyt characters.

2024 Art Summary
Quite a lot of variety this year. Part of that's down to 7 of them being uni work. Working to a brief often means approaching things differently, but still I've tried to only include things that I genuinely like and reflect my artistic practice. And luckily I've never been the sort of person who cared about having a constant style.
Skills I learnt/significantly improved this year: digital art, pixel art, and 3D figure making
....yeah July wasn't a productive month, that slot was almost "image not found":/
ANYway, things are a lot right now, on many levels, in many ways, but I hope you all have a happy new year.
