Danny phantom episode “Girls night out” deserves more hate. Like it’s the worst of season 3’s shift into more generic superhero cartoon plot lines imo, it’s gender politics are noxious. Something about the art is especially not working for me. ember and spectra should be trying to maul each other.

I think it's absolutely RIDICULOUS that the show is trying to make the whole thing a team green vs team black situation. Even though the whole point of the dance of the dragons and the whole point of George rr Martin's books is that nothing is black and white. There is no "this side is good and this side is bad". BOTH the blacks and the greens were shades of grey. Both sides had complex characters and Rhaenyra was power hungry and killed to get what she wanted and Alicent wanted to protect her children and make Aegon king because she know it was his birthright. Nothing was an "accident" and no one sought the throne because of a misunderstanding or wanting to express the wishes of a king. All characters did what they wanted out of survival.

I totally agree with you that all the characters are shades of grey and complex characters in their own rights. I DO however believe that Rhaenyra was the proper heir, her father had named her such and the only opposition to her claim was the PRECEDENT that your heir must be a son. In this- I believe it was her birthright not her brothers.

I do believe that by the end of the war Rhaenyra had gone half mad and Aegon was also pretty useless and shitty. All in all I think- from an objective standpoint- they both were pretty bad leaders when all was said and done, they plunged the realm into chaos and death and destruction etc etc for the sake of their own greed and self entitlement.

I personally enjoy the character of Rhaenyra more, and I dislike members of team green (alicent, aemond, aegon, etc). I don’t believe either of them were saints however by any means. Again I believe they were both pretty shitty people that tore apart their own house and country during the Dance for nothing since they both pretty much lost in the end.

I do agree that it’s ridiculous to see it as team green vs team black with one of the sides winning because it’s clear from reading the book that they both lost. Almost everyone died, and while Aegon was acknowledged as king and Rhaenyra as a traitor in the history books, it was Rhaenyras blood in the end that would sit the iron throne for years to come. Does it really matter at the end of the day? They both lost everything and died in horrible ways themselves.
