Hi, I read all your headcanon on ao3 (Brilliant, by the way) and I wanted to know what you thought about a demigod made of clay, but unexpectedly his mothers (yes, mothers in plural) are Nyx and Hestia

Yes, I know it's something very impossible, it's a concept I have for a fanfic and I also have other similar demigods in mind, and a "Scion" as you call them from a somewhat typical origin in what are the Greek myths (later if you want I can spam you with more questions)

I more or less have the concept at the time of his creation, but this question comes more than anything from what the reaction of the others would be, something like the headcanon of "children of x god/goddess" that you did.

Hello! Thanks for your kind words and for dropping by my Ao3 account! I'm glad you liked them! Also pardon for any grammatical answers, I just blitz wrote this and my eyes cannot focus to edit this too properly.

Also like man, I find your idea very cool and fun but also I’m also glad I don’t have to respond of how that can work because I would be chugging cups of tea and looking at the board of how it can work and make sense of it.

But if it’s what the reactions would be, then I can manage that. I’ll give some bullet points that I’ll try to be concise as possible cause *looks at your little boy* yeah, a lot to unpack and digest. 

Side note: I do have submissions open so if you really want to send me more asks that all relate to onw another, it’s better if you drop it down in there. Whether I answer them or not depends on my own schedule and time. 

First of all, how? How?? I mean yes, they did hear that you were basically crafted out of clay like the first humans by the gods, by Nyx and Hestia, but still how?? How were you made? How does it work? How are you still a demigod if you were crafted by Nyx and Hestia? And how many of you are running around? Is it just you? Or are there more? How many other deities have done the same thing? How much of you physically made out of clay and out of ‘flesh’? How much of you is mortal and immortal? Are you like ⅓ mortal? ⅓ of Nyx, and ⅓ of Hestia? ¼ clay, ¼ flesh, ¼ hestia, ¼ Nyx? Etc etc…

Then the next thing is “Why” and “What” because why or/and what compelled Nyx, the primordial and personification of the Night to make a demigod out of clay? If it was that alone, that’s already something but also with Hestia? The goddess of the Hearth? Two polar opposites? Because you light a hearth at night and that illuminates it the darkness of the night, which is like, why and what brought Hestia and Nyx to craft a demigod out of clay of all things? People start thinking is it a romance thing? But with Nyx and Hestia’s disposition, that doesn’t seem likely? Is it out curiosity? Maybe from Nyx but getting Hestia to collaborate? That doesn’t seem likely either and Hestia isn’t one to take deals. People can only think there’s a major looming prophecy that Nyx and Hestia only know about and that scares people.

At camp, people aren’t sure how to approach you and neither does Chiron nor Mr. D for that matter. Cause this whole thing is unprecedented and Mr. D cannot fathom why his aunt would do such a thing and he’s worried because whatever Hestia’s reasons, it’s not going to good and not going to react well with Zeus. 

I dunno if Hestia would be at camp, but if she isn’t for the sake of the story, then people are worried because for the goddess of the Hearth not to be at Camp or anywhere else, has people more nervousness and fearful.

Speaking of Zeus, he’s not going ot be pleased when he hears about this and he and the other Olympians will be scrutinizing you. Because how much of a threat are you going to be towards the gods? Are you on their side? Or are you one of their potential demise? 

For one thing, you were crafted out of clay by Nyx, who is well, was rather opposed to their existence and all that. The only thing that’s keeping you alive or your fate on hold, is that you were also and a part of Hestia, who the gods all love and respect. It won’t help the scrutiny because Hestia is a virgin goddess so while it doesn’t break her vow, it doesn’t seem right that she made a demigod out of clay (which if you follow the logic that Prometheus stole the coals of fire from Hestia’s hearth, but if that’s the case, how did Prometheus steal it from the goddess who always tends to the fire?) Are you proof their sister goddess has turned her back against them? Their loyal and loving family sister? Also why did Hestia, the eldest of them all and mature of them all, work with Nyx to make you? 

Again if Hestia isn’t here to support you, then that’s not going to help the case. 

Back to Camp, they’re not sure where to put you in, because although you may be a demigod, you are technically a child of Hestia and Nyx, which neither which or have a cabin. And while normally, they would put those without a place in the Hermes cabin like protocol, they’re a bit unsure because well, yeah. 

People are going to wonder how your powers and abilities work. Like what does it entail and do you just have two aspects or do they cancel each other? Or is there a fusion of both Hestia and Nyx’s aspects and domain that you wield? 

In general, there’s going to be a whoooole lot of confusion, shock, wonder, and fear basically.

How is Dian after Round 20, actually?

so I am actually writing something for Dian right now but it is admittedly post Round 21. there was originally going to be a flashback in it, to the immediate aftermath of round 20 but i think. that I will put that here instead because the other writing is getting too long 😔

Post Round 20 - Dian POV

It was barely a system hour after the conclusion of Round 20 when Dian's guardian caught him backstage. Teneb's long, elegant neck bowed in order to enter Dian's dressing room but he knew it was the furthest thing from a show of fealty. He hid the clenching of his fists within his long, ruffled sleeves and tried his very best not to clench his jaw, for she would see it, she would perceive his tension and mock him in that chortling way of hers. She closed the door behind her, shaking out her feathers and smoothing them down before turning to level him with her placid, perceptive gaze.

Seeing his tension in spite of his best efforts, Teneb raised her wing to laugh into her hand, hiccuping sound bubbling up from deep in her throat, and her shiny black eyes smiled in that way that her mouth could never quite manage, with the hard bone of her beak.

"This really is affecting you, isn't it, darling?" She remarked, cupping his face delicately with her hand. He held back the shiver that begged to cascade through his nerves at the fine tips of her feathers against his skin. Keeping the grimace off of his face was much easier, as he had long grown accustomed to the strong cloud of perfume that followed her like a wraith. "Your little pet is dead and gone . . . how tragic." She pinched his cheek and cooed at him.

"Did you only come to check in on my condition, Master?" Dian bit out in a voice that was only barely polite, barely steady. "For I assure you, my emotions will not compromise my performance."

"Oh, I am not concerned," Teneb dismissed with a wave of her hand. "The gifts that I have given you wouldn't be nearly so generous if you were a shoddy actor. No, I know you can play your part, no matter the state of your heart." Dian froze, his heart skipping a beat in his chest and his throat going dry. Teneb noticed his sudden discomfort and she smiled.

"Was it that you thought I didn't know?" She asked, getting closer to him. She loomed, casting a dark shadow over him with the way her body blocked the lights in the ceiling. "Darling, I knew as soon as you agreed to sire his child. You begged me to keep you from the breeding stocks and yet, all your little pet had to do was ask and you caved just like that." She snapped her fingers and trilled a vindictive laugh.

"Master, why are you here?" Dian gritted out, unable to keep the adrenaline from roaring through his veins, fight or flight blaring through his head at decibel levels that could permanently deafen him. "Just to taunt me? To spit in my face and laugh? I know I am a fool for having emotional attachments but it is far too late to prevent that." Teneb watched him for a long moment before letting out a huff and stepping back.

"I was merely here to test your mettle so don't worry your pretty little head." She turned around but kept her eyes on him. "You've passed," she told him before sweeping out of the room in a whirlwind of white feathers and aniseed.

Summary: “Ignore what I said. About other universes and all that. I’m just restless.”

“You are the most honest when you’re restless usually.” Nyx says, running a thumb over the knuckle of Noct’s pointer finger. “I don’t think it’s all that crazy, though.”

“You don’t?” Noct tilts his head on Nyx’s shoulder to look up at him.

Between the ocean and the stars, Noctis and Nyx ponder the concept of lifetimes beyond their current one.

“Do you ever think about us?”

Nyx pauses in his steps, tilting his head to one side and blinking curiously at Noctis’ back. The Prince sits near the edge of the lighthouse’s balcony, comfortably bundled by a large blanket around his shoulders, legs slipped through the metal bars so his slippered feet dangle casually through the brisk night breeze. He stares out at the gentle flutter of the Cygillian’s ocean waves as though he’s mesmerized by the constant push and pull, or perhaps the way the moonlight speckles across the surface like a treasure trove of diamonds. 

Nyx stands a mere few steps from Noctis’ side, eyes stuck on his back and the sway of the ends of his dark hair in the wind. It’s far beyond a suitable bedtime for either of them, but Nyx can’t seem to find the will to bother trying to urge Noctis back to bed with him. Not on a night like this where he can take in the captivating view with an equally captivating Prince. 

“About us?” Nyx repeats, pulling his hands from his hoodie pockets as he takes those last few steps. He sits down next to Noctis, crossing his legs under himself. “Not sure if I’m following you, Noct.”

Noctis purses his lips and makes a contemplative hum. His head tilts slightly back, eyes following the horizon, to the stars, and then the moon. 

“Like...” There’s a subtle pinch between his brows. “Do you think there’s other universes out there… and that we’re in them together?”

Nyx’s lips part as he processes Noctis’ questions in his head. There are few things or people that are occasionally capable of leaving Nyx speechless and lacking some form of sharp wit in a relatively quick manner. Of course, Noctis is one of those people and he’s just done it again. Nyx finds himself stuck between two different gut reactions: a soft but fond laugh or simply asking Noctis if he’s okay. 

He smiles fondly instead, bumping Noct’s shoulder with his. 

“What kind of comics have you been reading lately?”

i do not have that much ngl BUT i will share what i have regardless for u pookie

i posted his ref sheet awhile back but here it is again (even though i plan on changing it a bit)

ngl when i originally made him i just wanted to make another self insert that looked more like my actual persona but then i started adding actual lore to him

basically mans ends up "accidentally" becoming a member of chaos after being persuaded to seek the truth by a cultist (he is very gullible and naive as similar to the knight percival who he's based on)

mans also is very... not right in the head to begin with (aka he's plural) which becomes a huge part of his corruption as he splits into multiple alters of himself (aka the chaos gods) with slaanesh being the main host (at least thats what she THINKS they all fight on it alot)

Percival ends up meeting Cain and (being the dumb lil guy he is) assumes Cain is ALSO a member of chaos due to his very violent and aggressive demeanor. they run off together with Cain leading Percival on to believe he is on his side with plans to kill him eventually but (thanks to slaanesh) end up developing into a very heavily one sided relationship (toxic yaoi part 2 LMAO)

uh yeah thats pretty much all i got so far ummm heres a wip thats meant to showcase the different alter designs (im struggling to design them which is why its so bare)

Full fledged Danny tribute because he deserves one and if VCARB isn’t gonna do it, Tumblr will.

So I got into F1 as many newer fans do, through DTS. Specifically, I think I fell in love with F1 due to none other than Daniel Joseph Ricciardo. It seems insane to think I’d just turned it on so I could find the appeal that someone close to me does and that day led all the way up to now.

Danny, if you couldn’t tell through my posts, was (oh god that feels horrid to write) and will always be one of my favorites. I don’t think it would be an unfair assessment to say that my adoration for him was the reason I first got hooked on to F1. Of course now, there’s many other reasons, including the fact that I simply enjoy the sport, but Danny deserves the credit for being not only my first favorite driver but also for making me interested and giving me a reason to finish DTS.

All in all, though, I think it’s more important to immortalize his legacy and impact. How many fans, who, just like me, love F1 because he introduced them? How many fans saw him in the DTS and fell in love with the sport and him? How many people has Danny single handedly given copious amounts of love and hope to?

I don’t think Daniel actually realizes how many people love him and how many are up in arms about RBR and VCARB’s blatant mistreatment of him, but I hope that there’s someone telling him about this. He may never see the amount of support he’s gotten from fans, non-fans, and even other fandoms because he isn’t very active on his socials (and probably doesn’t know about Tumblr), but I hope he realizes that no one stands with RBR or VCARB about this.

Thank you so much for introducing this sport to me, as well as many others, and providing us with some of the best memories, love. I hope you enjoyed the butterflies as much as we did.

Enchanté, 3 will always be one of my favorites.🫶
