Asa child of Nyx goddess of night, and the fact she lives in tartures  people tend to be scared of you at frist some still are, not to mention Zeus is afraid of her power your atlest as powerful a sPercy maybe not in physical strength but in Demi-God power stuff

Hes also scared of you at first slightly is still scared, you just have this mysterious air around you and your both socially akward sooooooo

Speaking of whicchhhhh your very powerfull you don’t have full control of your powers and some of which make you evry tired also they enhance at night and your just more agile and stronger

You can control the darkness though making it darker is easer then ligjter and its always darker closer to you apart of why people are afraid of you, you can somewhat manipulate shadows but your not super practiced st that you can make darkness somewhat tangible and use as a sheild but the longer it is takes a lot more power and any of this controling of darkness takes out of you durring day but less at night, percy thinks this is so fucking cool how the darkness floats around with you, your always the darkest part of the room

With training Prophecies will be easier understoode and your older siblings can predict prohices by reading the stars

Also you can fuck with illusions bit not make them, and the mist so you have a slightly better police record compared to the others

Speaking of that uhm well your pretty well rounded when on strength, you didn’t get claimed for a year and a few months so you trained and trained and trained everything you could, basic first aid, bow n arrow, dagger, spear, sword, fist fights, agility, upper and lower body strength, even got a couple gardening lessons from children of demeter which did not stick at all. You arent like super strong in all of these because you only have so much time to train but you have atlest a little  skills in all cas your badass

Okay but really its because you we're prepared for your mother to be anyone and you wanted her to know you were worthy of her, you deserved her love you were trying hsrd for her gave you a lot of self esteem issues after not being worthy before camp.

Even then youll be overly affectionate even if its not something your completely comfortable with, or youll overwork yourself helping him to prove your worthy of him which concerns him a lot like your the best thing in his livr and here you are no idea.

That effects your relationships, sepecificly eith percy you think you need to be useful to deserve his company you jave to prove yourself and often need reassurance that you don’t need to prove yourself and you are worthy of his company if anyone hes the unworthy one he fucking like worships you he loves you so much.

Percy knows this all to well, your mother is easily the root of your self esteem problems, hes heard all about this on your first quest, you went along with the three despite the rule of three, maybe it was foolish but when would you get another chance gor a quest, you werent about to get one, any quest your sibilings got were to be done alone, and everyone in camp avoided you and your half sibilings like the plague.

So what if percy and Annabeth were annoyed with you for a while or even hated you, it was essential you proved your mother wrong that you were worth a quest, you were just as perfect as the rest of your sibilings.

You see Annabeth went to prove herself to her mother, you went to prove your mother wrong. Nyx saw you knew you were powerful but thought you were immature not ready, your dream was to go on a quest alone for her, the dream of any Nyx child was to meet her and help her.

Ofcourse your need to get your mother to believe in you is how you and Annabeth bonded, she wanted her mothers attention and you had yours but not positively

Percy didn’t quite understand you or annabeth for your guys obsession over impressing your mothers but he was there to remind you that’s not all you were, thT you don’t need her aproval and you were perfect already.

Chronic night owls, feeling way more energized during the dark hours of the night than during the day

They like the wintery fall seasons better because of the sole fact that the sun dips below the horizon earlier and rises later

Nyx cabin and Apollo cabin would have a friendly rivalry

Their cabin would be dark inside but is decorated with a ton of fairy lights to mimic the stars

they can navigate with the stars and constellations extremely well

Inherently know the name of all those stars and constellations

they can manipulate shadows too as well as short bursts of really bright light like stars

i feel like they would be able to become a shadow for some reason???? Good for spying at least

Hades cabin and nyx cabin would have fun messing with the shadows all the time

I'm not entirely sure but I feel like nyx would be a protective mother (she protected her son from Zeus so there goes that) and this translates to her half-blood children too

She is protective of them and they are protective of those they care about too

i could imagine them being the mother/father figure of camp if they manage to get peoples' trust

they would be hesitant to hang out with the kids of Zeus, but would befriend them just to piss off king sparkles for all the nasty things he has said about their mother darkness

Their mother lives down there with the titans remains she hears his whining and plotting so she warns her kids

Backstory/lore bits: the Fates took a bit of Nyx’s DNA and added it to αστεριού. Once they were born, they were put out on the streets because their parents were disgusted by them. A homeless Japanese woman found αστεριού and took them in, naming them Yume, which means dream in Japanese. αστεριού called the woman Auntie, and she single-handedly raised them. Eventually she got a job and sent αστεριού to school. She had already been teaching them English and Japanese, and when she noticed that they had a proficiency in reading Greek, she bought a Greek dictionary that included the alphabet. Well, one day, Auntie was visited by the Fates, who explained their parentage and powers (they hadn’t gotten the fire ones yet). Shortly after, she died. When αστεριού found out, she was given her will, which gave them everything. It also included a letter to them telling them where to go. So they packed up and umbraported to CHB. There they were claimed and Dionysus took them into his cabin temporarily since there was no Nyx or Erebus cabin that anyone knew of. They met the 9th goddess, a minor goddess over Wendigos and Skinwalkers, from the Native American pantheon (they have L O R E), who just immediately adopted them due to their Native American blood. They are now called Wīhtikow.

Cabin: Zeus, being his usual dick self, told them they didn’t have a cabin, so Mr. D took them in temporarily. NOW THEY HAVE A CABIN! It’s sits on the edge of the woods, far from the rest, so they didn’t see it at first

Imagine a child of whomever (my go to's are usually child of Nyx or Poseidon) being close to Mr. D just because they have been at camp for so long and yes he does care he just doesn't know how to show it. What if when they go on quests or out of camp for any reason they bring him back like grape flavored coca-cola??? (Please just pretend that he can't have anything related to grapes even remotely because of king sparkles idk if it's true or not just bare with me). Like they go out to town and come back like "I got you a present!". He pretends not to appreciate it much but keeps asking for it and if they ever forget or don't have the funds he gets pouty.

if they live in the mortal world they need to have the perfect grades. they need to dress the best, have the most influential friends and associates, never cause problems, never speak crassly, never act out.

She is one of the most powerful primordial goddesses. King Zeus is scared of her. Her children should always be at their best as well bc the way they act reflects on her.

how can she hold her title as a powerful, intimidating goddess if her children aren’t at the top of the social food chain? if her children are running around acting immature and looking like slobs in sweats and sneakers?

their cabin has to be spotless at all time. if she thinks that interacting with a certain person won’t be good for her child, she demands that they stop interacting. “It’s what’s best, dear. They would only halt your future potential.”

In the demigod world. They especially need to keep up the act. Everyone knows who their mother is and if they do something to embarrass her?

They have to be the best at fighting, hand to hand, and when they’re not they better find something else to lord over others.

Even at camp, they have to appear their best. It doesn’t matter that everyone else is running around in old jeans and a camp shirt, they need to be dressed to the nines. Not a speck of dirt on them. Even when they train, they wear expensive workout clothes and shoes. As soon as it’s over, right back to their vanity to redo their hair and make up if they wear it (which they usually do. Don’t need acne scars and discoloration ruining your pretty face).

They aren’t usually allowed to interact with children of the big three because of the things Zeus has said about her in the past.

If another demigod is known to be rough and loud and immature, don’t even think about being their friend. It won’t last long.

Their mother picks what quests they go on because if they fail one, they’ll just be bringing shame to her name.

Author’s note: *put head into hands* Alright, so I may or may not have went off from the usual formula (Do I even have a formula for writing these at this point?) and I think I may have made the primordial demigods here more cryptid cause they’re the literal by-product of primordial beings that are also half-mortal? I won’t be including the usual blurbs at the ending cause all of them are probably pushing the word limit Tumblr has but worry not, I made up for it by putting more storylines into the whole thing. You were born as a denizen of the night; a literal night-owl. You were born out of curiosity for why the gods, or more specifically why her children, especially  Hypnos, being the God of Sleep, still produce demigod children. Although you were born out of curiosity, Nyx does have some affection for you but only because you are a part of herself, and it's clear she upholds her immortal children more affectionately. Yet you stared up at your mother with sparking star eyes. She is afterall, the maternal being and mother of Shadows.

Despite Nyx’s clear treatment, you listen to your godly mother’s words like she hung the stars herself and do what you can to make her proud of you. So when Nyx told you to go a mission for her to join forces with the child of Gaea and the child of Tartarus in their cause, you immediately jumped up and told Nyx you would do it.

You caught the look that the child of Erebus was giving you, one of concern but you didn’t think much of it; they were just probably overprotective, as they’ve been when you two were first introduced, and didn’t think you could handle the outside world. The child of Erebus was also told to join and they simply nodded and bowed to Erebus and Nyx, before helping you prepare.

When you joined the child of Gaea and Tartarus, you introduced yourself to them first and eagerly followed them, in awe that there were more children of primordials and that they were the children of Gaea and Tartarus! You had heard of the child of Tartarus before, catching glimpses of them from afar, before they were picked up by Gaea.

The child of Tartarus recognized you and welcomed you, introducing you personally to the child of Gaea who smiled like a flower but as you held their hands with them, you could feel the power trembling within them.

You followed them on their cause to search for other primordial children, but as you did, you were excited in the child of Hemera who was basically your parallel. However, you were all interrupted by the child of Chaos and Eros then you started to feel unsure about your cause; you were all children of Primordials, shouldn’t you all have the same cause?

Being the daughter of Night itself, you can imagine what kind of powers you have: darkness, shadows, the night itself is at your beckon. When it is night, your power rises exponentially and you can hide yourself and others under the guise of night. You can shadow travel as well while also manipulate the shadows as well. You can also induce nightmares onto others and peer into their minds and souls when required, learning about their weakness which you can bring forth with bits of magic and the power of shadows and darkness. You can also technically make the night seem longer but you have no control over the moon or the stars. Be careful how much you use your powers though. While you are more powerful in the night, your power is limited in the day. You can’t push yourself too much in the day as your powers will be drained and you will need to rest during the night.

A key feature about you is that your shadows are also dark like the child of Erebus, and your eyes seem darker than others; however yours do have some light in them, in fact they seem to sparkle like stars. When it's night, your form changes to match it, and sometimes if you’re not too careful, your form will dissolve and blend with the night. Which is useful in terms of espionage, you have a time limit to literally pull yourself together before dawn peeks over the horizon and you float in the night cycle otherwise.
