I just had this random idea in my head, but like do you think that Nyo America was used as propaganda the 1950s and the Cold War era to promote “American femininity” (I read this one article that mentioned that the a big reason why women were used in ads to promote products was because they were trying to encourage American housewives to be big time consumers to ‘show American superiority’ against the USSR which ties back to American consumer culture of the 50s and the rampant sexism of the time)

Oh definitely. I can already picture the pin-up posters of Amelia. Maybe on of her in a star dress with her nickname as "Miss America". There would be posters of her making food and holding it on a tray, or maybe some of her getting her hair done at a salon. All of them promoting her "all-American beauty".

While I'm sure Amelia liked the photoshoots and art of her, she was very much annoyed by the box she was forced into. The men around her tried to convince her that she was "showing strength" by being a feminine role model against the USSR. I know it wasn't really popular until the 1870s, nor am I totally sure Arthur would go this far, but the idea of Arthur putting Molly on a "rest cure" to treat her "hysteria" around the 1840s before the Famine really kicked in is something that has been sticking in my brain. The idea of this woman going Yellow Wallpaper is something that just intrigues me. To be clear, either way, Arthur 100% referred to her as his "hysterical sister" and used that as an excuse to both keep her from going to Europe and making allies again.

Ameripan is so interesting because I feel like Alfred/Amelia would tiptoe around being fully romanticly open while Kiku/Sakura would be so blatant about it. Like Alfred/Amelia would bring Kiku/Sakura chocolates and be like "Hey, if you ever wanna hang out, I'm free for the next 3 days!" And Kiku/Sakura would be like "Ah, I see. Our date will be tomorrow at 8am. Do not be late, America." And It would catch Alfred/Amelia off guard so badly because they aren't used to being so forward all the time.

Day 4 (May 11th) ~ Greek mythology / Goddesses (nyo!engport)

A little explanation about this one! because it took me a lot of research XD.

They are Britannia and Lusitania, goddesses of the land.

I looked for a greek femenine pose which simbolized union above all. For England, I took the real avatar of the country, Britannia, which has a resemblance to Athena. I changed some things and colors, and added celtic simbols and Pict tattoos, to relate her with her ancestors.

For Portugal, I mixed more things: the Seas relationship she has since forever and because her mother, that's why the aquamarine colors. Her crown is made of fish tails and metal anchor; color are silverish related to the moon element. Then, I included my HC that one of her shapes is a marine dragon; that's why she is a mermaid (and we're en May so I've got that prompt too )?. Lavender dress for the national flower, and finally she has grapes as jewelry for her relationship with Dionisus, taken from the myth idea that Lusus, the ancient god - and founder of Portugal's land before Rome, was a son/lover of his (and the sexier part too).

How do you think 1p France and 1p nyo France would react to a shy male s/o with a daddy or a mommy kink?

1p France isn’t too shocked, people have probably called him daddy before so it’s pretty average to him. He’s started to like it a lot more now that it’s his boyfriend saying it though.

1p Nyo France thinks that he’s absolutely adorable, no one has ever called her mommy before but she’s not opposed. She will absolutely playfully tease them about it outside of sex though.

But half the time the press releases, even after many edits by political communication professionals, have undeniable snark because nations don't like doing them.

Post WWII Amelia x Arthur in my headcanon is sort of like The Crown's take on Queen Elizabeth's and Prince Philip's relationship, or maybe even Rhaenyra and Daemon's from HoTD. A young heiress who rises to power unexpectedly or who was dealt circumstances that saw that she rose to power in adulthood, and her older lover/mentor who struggles to come to grips with the new power imbalance (that was once tipped in his favor but has now tipped favorably in her direction) and how this sort of hurts his ego and masculinity. Depending on my mood, it can go either one of the two ways it did in the respective TV series. Either a) Arthur takes the Philip route who learned to adapt to and effectively utilize his role as prince consort after seasons of angst and unresolved tension with Elizabeth or b) Arthur takes the Daemon route who went rogue, returned to bad habits, and sabotaged Rhaenyra along the way all in hopes of recapturing the old glory days from his youth when he was the presumptive heir. Sometimes, I like to do a little bit of both.

Edit: I'll be honest I only enjoy playing with power struggles and power imbalances when America is a girl 😭 it's the only way to avoid certain tropes, and it's so interesting as well. Arthur was once the most powerful empire on earth, but he has been brought so low that he must now metaphorically bow to the girl he once bounced on his knee, and that genuinely pisses him off! Of course, he cares for her. Of course, he loves her and wants to protect her, but at the same time, he has always been an independent person with a penchant for freedom (in that they are very similar) and he doesn't take to kindly to this girl who barely rose from the dirt a few centuries ago telling him what he is or isn't allowed to do (as she did in the Suez Canal crisis). I have it in my mind that America is pretty much a virgin up until the post WWII era where England sets his heart upon taking her virginity (ahem british invasion), not purely out of lust (though there is plenty of it) , but as some sort of vengeful compromise. If he can't command or control her on the world stage then he can command her and control her in the bedroom, hold her heart in his hands knowing that she fears what he might do to it. A power imbalance of the emotional sort. I feel like in the afromenioned shows Daemon/Philip had the upper hand when it came to personal and emotional matters because they were far more experienced and worldly and better at hiding their emotions, while Rhaenyra/Elizabeth had the upper hand in politics and authority that they sometimes held over or used against their respective elder mentor lovers. It's the same for Amelia and Arthur.

Iceland: Emil Fálki Bondevik-styrsson

Most Icelanders I know have two first names, including myself, so I decided to give them both two first names, based on what sounded best with both names and what would also make sense for them.

Flóra because we'll, flower, and Fálki because the national animal of iceland is the gyrfalcon
