"Don't Learn to Code, But Study This Instead..." says NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang
I think a lot of people got it wrong what Jensen Huang, Co-Founder and CEO of NVIDIA was recently saying at the @WorldGovSummit . It is easy to grab a "hot" statement without considering the full context and the more important message about what we as humanity should focus more in the age of AI.
I understand that most people don't have time to sit through the full interview , thus my hope is that this video provides a better context without creating unnecessary additional anxiety that we are all so familiar now in the face of AI and rapid change.

Here is another Example of Companies from the United States (US) investing in COMMUNIST Vietnam instead of their Country’s supposed “Ally”, the Philippines. This time it is Nvidia Corporation and Apple Incorporated. Now the US and their Filipino Doggies want the Philippines to CUT Economic Ties with China when the US Government can’t even convince their own Companies to take China’s Place and invest in the Philippines? Billionaire on pace to become world’s first trillionaire by 2027, report says
Informa Connect Academy’s finding about the boss of electric carmaker Tesla, private rocket company SpaceX and social media platform X (formerly Twitter) stems from the fact that Musk’s wealth has been growing at an average annual rate of 110%. He was also the world’s richest person, with $251bn, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, as the academy’s 2024 Trillion Dollar Club report began circulating Friday.
The academy’s analysis suggested business conglomerate founder Gautam Adani of India would become the second to achieve trillionaire status. That would reportedly happen in 2028 if his annual growth rate remains at 123%.
Jensen Huang, the chief executive officer of the tech firm Nvidia, and Prajogo Pangestu, the Indonesian energy and mining mogul, could also become trillionaires in 2028 if their trajectories hold. Bernard Arnault, the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton boss and the world’s third-richest person with about $200bn, is on track to eclipse a trillion dollars in 2030 – the same year as Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta.

Meta announced today that it will offer people a tool called AI Studio to build virtual characters with custom personalities, traits, and interests—including ones based on their own personalities. If you're a creator, you'll also be able to have your digital doppelgänger interact with fans in the DMs.
“Every creator can build an AI version of themselves or an assistant that their community can interact with,” Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said during a SIGGRAPH conference fireside chat with Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, the chipmaker at the center of today’s artificial intelligence boom thanks to its all-important GPU chips.
Meta says AI Studio will start rolling out to Instagram Business account users today and will be made available to all Meta users in the US over the next few weeks. The tool will be accessible at ai.meta.com/ai-studio and through the Instagram app, but it also will be possible to access the chatbots through WhatsApp, Messenger, and the web.
Zuckerberg said that he expects users to create custom AI chatbots for entertainment or as personal support tools—for example, role-playing how to ask for a raise or navigate an argument with a friend. “You can basically role-play that and see how the conversation will go, and get feedback on it,” he said.
The company says AI Studio will let users limit who their chatbots interact with and prevent them from discussing certain topics. The AI Studio usage policy prohibits users from representing real persons other than themselves. It would also place off limits historical persons, religious figures, mass murderers, or “objects that could be considered hateful, explicit or illegal.”
In a blog post, Meta touted several chatbots built by celebrities, including “Eat Like You Live There!” a chatbot for dining recommendations made by chef Marc Murphy, and “What Lens Bro,” a bot for photography made by photographer Angel Barclay. It said that several Instagram personalities—Chris Ashley, Violet Benson, Don Allen, and Kane Kallaway—had made chatbot versions of themselves.
Meta's AI Studio handbook says that users can customize a chatbot by providing a detailed description, along with a name and image, and then specifying how it should respond to specific input. Llama will then draw on those instructions to improvise its responses. Meta says Instagram users can “customize their AI based on things like their Instagram content, topics to avoid, and links they want it to share.”
Over the past year, Meta has become an AI success story thanks to its decision to offer robust AI models for free. Last week, the company released a powerful version of its large language model Llama, providing developers, researchers, and startups with free access to a model comparable to the powerful paid model behind OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The company says its new chatbots are all based on the latest version of Llama.
And yet Meta has struggled to find the right tone and niche for its own AI offerings. Last September, the company launched a range of AI chatbots loosely based on real celebrities. These included a fantasy role-play dungeon master bot based on Snoop Dogg, a wisecracking sports bot based on Tom Brady, and an everyday companion inspired by Kendall Jenner.
These bots failed to become big hits, however, and Meta has retired them. Jon Carvill, a spokesman for Meta, said the company had learned from the earlier experiments. “AI Studio is an evolution,” he said.
There is plenty of evidence that users may find fully customizable bots more compelling. A company called Character AI, founded by several ex-Google employees who helped make breakthroughs in AI, has attracted millions of users to its own custom chatbots.
Zuckerberg also touted other new open source AI advances from Meta at SIGGRAPH, held in Denver this year. The company has developed a new tool for identifying the contents of images and video called Segment Anything Model (SAM) 2. The previous version is widely used for image analysis. Meta says SAM 2 could be used to more efficiently analyze the contents of video, for instance. Zuckerberg showed off the technology tracking the cattle roaming his Kauai ranch. “Scientists use this stuff to study coral reefs and natural habitats and evolution of landscapes,” he told Huang.
Earlier in the day, in an on-stage interview with WIRED’s Lauren Goode, Huang said he would “absolutely” want a “Jensen AI” that knows everything he’s ever said, written, and done. “You’ll be able to prompt it, and hopefully something smart gets said,” he said. He could force stock analysts to pepper the bot—instead of him—with questions about the company. “That’s the first thing that has to go,” he said with a laugh.

Nita Ambani Guides Mukesh on Meeting with Nvidia's Jensen Huang
Tumblr media
Mukesh Ambani had a fireside chat with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang in Mumbai on Thursday. The two prominent leaders shared the stage at Jio World Centre during the three-day Nvidia AI Summit India, where they talked about advancements in artificial intelligence and India’s expanding tech landscape.
The highlight of their discussion came at the very start, when Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani credited his wife, Nita Ambani, as the mastermind behind the Jio World Centre.
Nita Ambani’s Guidance to Mukesh Ambani
After Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang welcomed Mukesh Ambani, praising him as an “industry pioneer” who played a crucial role in India’s digital transformation, he remarked, “No one has contributed more, Mukesh, to make India a high-tech and deep-tech nation. You’re just beginning this journey with grand ambitions. What drives you to believe that artificial intelligence is India’s moment?”
Mukesh Ambani, 67, responded by thanking Huang for being in Mumbai and, more specifically, at the Jio World Centre, which he humorously noted was built by his wife.
“We’re here at the Jio World Center, which is new, and it was built by my wife. So, if I don’t mention that, I’ve been instructed to,” Ambani said, sparking laughter from the Nvidia CEO.
What is Jio World Centre?
Jio World Centre is a vast, multi-functional complex in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). Spanning 18.5 acres, it is a hub for business, entertainment, culture, and retail activities.  Read More-https://thevoiceofentrepreneur.com/nita-ambani-advised-her-husband-mukesh-on-what-to-say-during-his-meeting-with-nvidia-ceo-jensen-huang/

TIME Magazine Snubs Elon Musk in 2024 ‘100 Most Influential in AI’ List, Includes Scarlett Johansson
Tumblr media
(L) Tesla CEO Elon Musk leaves the Phillip Burton Federal Building on January 24, 2023 in San Francisco, California. / (C) A protester steps on a picture of Time Magazine in 2017. / (R) Scarlett Johansson attends the “Fly Me To The Moon” photocall on July 11, 2024 in Madrid, Spain.
TIME Magazine placed actress Scarlett Johansson in the running, but left out tech mogul and AI program creator Elon Musk off of its yearly list of the “100 Most Influential People in AI.”
For its 2024 cover, the magazine combined images of eighteen AI leaders, led by Jensen Huang, the CEO of Nvidia, with a large image of the “Black Widow” hero.
Released on Thursday, the second annual TIME100 AI edition featured prominent CEOs in the rapidly expanding area, such as Dario Amodei of Anthropic and Sam Altman of OpenAI, in addition to founders and influencers.
— DogeDesigner (@cb_doge) September 5, 2024
Musk was noticeably missing from its list. Musk introduced xAI last summer, and his AI chatbot Grok has gained popularity over competitors like ChatGPT.
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, whose software company has made huge investments in AI startup Anthropic and created a $500 million AI fund to support new startups, is the owner of the old magazine.
“Disclosures are included throughout the TIME100 AI list for any companies mentioned that are backed by Salesforce Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Salesforce, where TIME’s owner and co-chair, is CEO,” a Time spokesperson told reporters.
Social media backlash followed TIME’s perplexing decision to pass over the founder of SpaceX, Tesla, and xAI .
“Every person on this top 100 list, if asked, would say Elon should be on this list,” one user said on X.
The billionaire established Neuralink in 2016, and the company gained notoriety at the beginning of this year when it successfully implanted a brain chip in a paralyzed patient, enabling him to use his thoughts to surf the web and play video games.
Musk also launched Colossus, the most powerful Nvidia GPU supercomputer in the world, online this past week.
“I thought it was cute that Elon Musk wasn’t on the cover of TIME’s 100 most influential people in AI,” another user posted on X. “I had to check for myself when I heard he didn’t make the list at all. My f*cking car drives itself lol.”
Additionally, culture and media critics questioned the inclusion of YouTuber Marques Brownlee and Hollywood actor Anil Kapoor on the list of celebrities which also included actress Scarlett Johansson, who had a falling out with OpenAI over the owner’s alleged use of her voice to train a chatbot without her consent.
Rivals of Musk, such as Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, Sundar Pichai of Google, and Satya Nadella of Microsoft, were also included on the list.
“If the world of AI was dominated by the emergence of startup labs like OpenAI, Anthropic, and their competitors in 2023, this year, as critics and champions alike have noted, we’ve seen the outsize influence of a small number of tech giants,” said Editor in Chief Sam Jacobs. “This year’s list offers examples of the possibilities for AI when it moves out of the lab and into the world.”
According to a news release, the list was compiled by TIME’s editors and reporters, who solicited suggestions from numerous “industry executives.”

Broadcom's AI surge challenges Nvidia's dominance

Broadcom's AI surge challenges Nvidia's dominance
.pp-multiple-authors-boxes-wrapper display:none; img width:100%;
Riding the AI wave, semiconductor giant Broadcom has joined the stampede of companies chasing Nvidia for a piece of the lucrative AI chip market. The computing and software conglomerate is up more than 66% in the past year, as it makes power moves to establish itself as one of the most dominant players in AI today. Broadcom has been making aggressive moves that have piqued the interest of analysts and investors, from buying VMware in a $61 billion deal to strengthen its data centre and cloud chops, to investments in AI chip R&D.
Central to Broadcom’s AI aspirations now is its fast-growing AI-connected chip business, which the company said it now forecasts will bring in an astounding $11 billion in revenue for fiscal 2024, up from a previous forecast of $10 billion. Combined with a 15% jump in Broadcom Inc shares recently, the upward revision reinforces the strong appetite for chips driving the rise of generative AI.
Morningstar analysts agreed in a note to Reuters that Broadcom remains “we continue to see Broadcom as incredibly well-positioned to benefit from rising generative AI investment in the long term,” — a view widely held on Wall Street. A second explanation for the upswing in AI for Broadcom is essentially through buying or investing very well over the years.
They come as one of three planned spinoffs in Dell’s drive to become a full-fledged cloud computing firm with the $61 billion acquisition of VMware next year, which also added $50 billion to its market capitalisation, per FactSet data. In addition, Broadcom has been ramping up its own custom AI chip business, inking deals with tech giants including Alphabet’s Google and Meta Platforms.
In March, the company revealed that a third unidentified customer was using its custom AI chips, which gave its business credibility in this high-stakes industry. According to Reuters, “At an investor conference on Wednesday, Broadcom said it will produce the new custom AI chips for ‘hyperscaler’ buyers that are mostly Alphabet’s Google and Meta Platforms.”
Diversified revenue streams and investor optimism
Broadcom’s software division, bolstered by the VMware acquisition, added $2.7 billion to its second-quarter revenue, further diversifying the company’s revenue streams and positioning it as a formidable force in the AI ecosystem. The company’s stock performance reflects this optimism, with shares surging 76% over the past 12 months and closing at a staggering $1,495.5 on Wednesday.
Broadcom’s recent announcement of a 10-for-1 stock split, a move reminiscent of Nvidia’s strategy, is expected to further fuel investor enthusiasm. “It’s a sure-fire way to send your stock soaring,” Triple D Trading analyst Dennis Dick told Reuters, commenting on the stock split, adding that the move was “right out of Nvidia’s book.”
Nvidia’s dominance and competitive pressure
Broadcom is progressing, but Nvidia is still the leader in this space. For years, Nvidia has benefited from the first-mover advantage of producing AI chips that cater to a long tail of applications while favoring innovation over turning in big volume. While that balance appears to be in flux, Broadcom’s recent wins shed light on how the writing may be on the wall for a boom in AI now benefiting more than just one company.
This new contender has even forced Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang to admit that ‘a resurgent Broadcom (and other start-ups) have planners at Nvidia nervous. Huang, for his part, stressed how the company must continue to innovate to ensure that it remains ahead of its peers. Nevertheless, competition has yet to make a dent on Nvidia’s enviable lead in the AI chip market as the company busily cranks out its top-performing AI tech.
Broadcom vs Nvidia: The battle for AI chip supremacy
Unlike Nvidia’s graphics processing units which have long dominated the industry, Broadcom’s custom AI chips – or application-specific integrated circuits – might offer a great business opportunity for tech giants with massive and steady-state AI workloads. These bespoke chips require considerable initial capital investment but they can offer large cost savings in both CapEx and power consumption, which sets them up as a more cost-effective (if less general purpose) option to Nvidia’s.
Also bullish on Broadcom is Piper Sandler analyst Harsh Kumar, who writes, “We continue to see [Broadcom] as the best AI play [excluding Nvidia] due to its strong positioning in the custom ASIC business along with its strong software portfolio.”
Broadcom’s multi-pronged strategy of pumping cash into buyouts, offering bespoke chips and expanding into a software business has established it as a strong rival, as the AI revolution shows few signs of abating. Nvidia is still the undisputed leader in the industry, but Broadcom’s bold AI play here was enough to light a fire under investors and analysts both, sowing the seeds of what could become an epic showdown in the market for AI chips.

MediaTek and NVIDIA Team up for Automotive AI
Tumblr media
With more and more auto manufacturers pushing for smarter vehicles, there's been a considerably growing demand for more powerful smart automotive platforms, going beyond the simple act of pairing your smartphone with your car's Bluetooth console (think 'K.I.T.T.' from Knight Rider). It's no surprise then that we've seen an uptick of specially-designed hardware and software solutions that provide entertainment and navigation features for drivers and passengers alike. With that being said, MediaTek's push towards putting more AI tech into everyday consumer products has certainly yielded some very interesting results, and the company's newly-announced collaboration with PC gaming giant NVIDIA aims to do the same, at least in terms of automotive applications. More specifically, the mobile chip manufacturer formally announced that it has entered into a partnership with NVIDIA to develop new AI-powered software for vehicles, with the goal of creating a "smart cabin" for drivers and passengers. This collaboration will enable MediaTek to develop automotive SoCs, which will in turn integrate a new NVIDIA GPU "chiplet" with support for NVIDIA AI and graphics IP. Interestingly, these chiplets will be connected by specially-developed interconnect technology, at least according to MediaTek. Rick Tsai, Vice Chairman and CEO of MediaTek states: “NVIDIA is a world-renowned pioneer and industry leader in AI and computing. With this partnership, our collaborative vision is to provide a global one-stop shop for the automotive industry, designing thenext generation of intelligent, always-connected vehicles. Through this special collaboration with NVIDIA, we will together be able to offer a truly unique platform for the compute intensive, software-defined vehicle of the future.” NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang says this combination of MediaTek and NVIDIA hardware will "enable new user experiences, enhanced safety and new connected services for all vehicle segments, from luxury to mainstream.” MediaTek adds that its smart cabin solutions will run NVIDIA DRIVE OS, DRIVE IX, CUDA and TensorRT software technologies. This then allows consumers to experience a full range of AI cabin and cockpit functionality with integrated AI, safety, and security features as well. While NVIDIA is more known to consumers as a PC and gaming-centric brand, the company does put a considerable amount of investment towards the development and production of AI and IoT (internet of things) technology, in addition to its powerful GPUs and processors. The Taiwanese company further states that by allowing MediaTek to tap into NVIDIA’s core expertise in AI, cloud, graphics technology, software and pairing with NVIDIA ADAS solutions, we can expect to see further improvement to the capabilities of the Dimensity Auto platform, MediaTek's flagship automotive software product. Dimensity Auto is designed for vehicles with support for compatible smart features. With all that being said, it should be interesting to see how both companies approach this new partnership, both on hardware and business fronts. Read the full article
