NEWS: Boy Who Is "As Quiet As a Stalking Purrloin" Revealed To Be Zorua
On the bright, sunny morning in Nuvema Town on the 21st of September, Mr. David Davis had stumbled upon the "Mystery Boy" who has been lurking around in the town in the forest for a few weeks prior to this incident. He was shifting back into his natural form--apparently a Zorua. Alarmed, Mr. Davis quickly reported to local authorities.
Investigations were quickly carried out, and it has been determined the Zorua has meant no harm. "This Zorua is young. By nature, it is playful and inclines towards practical jokes. We think this little one must have been lost and most likely distressed as Zorua aren't usually found in Nuvema Town," one of the researchers have explained.
The Zorua will be kept in the local Small Pokémon Clinic for further checkups before being released back into the wild, with the date depending on his conditions.
Mr. David Davis was retained for suspicions for illegal poaching, but was later released due to lack of evidence. The locals have expressed very verbally to "keep an eye on him".

Nuvema town is quiet 98% of the time, but things get interesting when Hilda and Red train within or just outside of the town’s limits.

I try not to yell about my source much but uuuuugh it frustrates me so much when people are like "Hilda's a middle schooler" show me where in the games it says I'm 14! I know you got that shit off of a wiki and if you actually paid attention you'd notice that I was designed as 16 and maybe Word of God doesn't even matter much when we're talking about a blank slate self-insert protagonist?
#the “canon” ages of Pokemon characters don't even make sense in the first place#if you look at B&W as a piece of media on its own w/o supplementary material#it's pretty clear that the protagonist is functionally treated as a young adult from the moment they leave Nuvema town#I'm mostly mad because I have to deal with discourse about it#yeah I'm a Hilda fictive

Ansy PKMN Timeline
When I started posting Diamond x Pearl REWRITE on my instagram, I did quite a bit of set up for new readers, including a full timeline for both Ansy & Ikrit. The mister & I (the players behind these characters) have been playing Pokémon since very beginning (though I had a very long break between Blue & Black), & now we play Pokémon together! 🩵
Ansy was born in Kanto, had a very coming-of-age story in Unova (following an attempt at a journey that didn’t end well), & considers the latter her home region. It’s where Ikrit & she live to this day when they’re not running around other regions (maybe in Nuvema Town, moving from Undella in favor of a little town still near the ocean but more affordable & quiet). She isn’t the strongest battler, but she’s definitely gotten better since Ikrit started training with her. Strange things seem to happen around her though…
Her design is often inspired by the female PC, though she’s often holding an umbrella as her trainer class is usually Parasol Lady (she likes rain teams, mostly Water PKMN). 🌧️ Exceptions are in Blue (Lass) & Sword (Gardener).
PS: So I got confused with which Legendary you got in BW & BW2, so while I just played Black when I realized that’s the one with Reshiram lol, I just rewrote White 2 - I didn’t realize the Reshiram you help in the game was N’s Reshiram, so I pretended it was Ansy’s Reshiram instead (as my hc is that players more befriend Legendaries than catch them like in the anime). 😅
PPS: the time skip between BW & BW2 is officially 3 years, but since I didn’t really want to jump from 10 (when I played Blue) to 22 (when I played Black), I made it about 9 years.

Kinda have to disagree with the 'Trip is racist/xenophobic" thing that's been floating around since his introduction.
I get where it comes from as we see the Pokémon regions as different countries (save for maybe the first four Japan-inspired regions) because, yeah, they're based on real-world countries/cities/states/provinces. So it's easy to see Ash as a Japanese boy while Trip is a white New Yorker.
But really, I think in the context of the Pokémon universe that these are not so much different countries as they are, well, regions. Trip sees Kanto as "the boonies" (boondocks, or a hick town, the otherside of the railroad tracks). Race doesn't play into it as much as class does. So yeah, Trip sees Pallet Town mainly as an unremarkable place and that Nuvema Town is superior to it. It's more of a classist thing to me. Is it still bigoted thoughts? Yeah. But I think racist is a bit harsh.
I think we need to bring back the idea that people can just be bigoted about where you live but not so much about your ethnicity, race, or culture in the year of 2024. I grew up on cartoons where this was a common thing. Stuck up rich kids picking on kids from lower-class families. Which is why I guess I see it that way. Younger audiences raised on the internet with a larger world view have a habit of applying everything in fiction to real issues. Not that it's a bad thing, but it has a role none the less.
#also this is an anime#so i cant even say that trip is supposed to even be white#boy am i really defending trip?#pokemon best wishes

Nuvema Town’s Japanese name which is Kanoko Town (ka no ko = deer’s child = fawn), likely named after the many Shikajika (Deerling) there, but kanoko is also the name of a traditional Japanese emblem and pattern inspired by a fawn’s dappled coat. ^^
