Why are Mercury, Jupiter, and Saturn planets that take time to achieve something?
versão em eng-pt / version in eng-pt
Mercury, Jupiter, and Saturn are planets that, for different reasons, are associated with a slower trajectory in terms of achievements. Each has a distinct approach, but in common, they symbolize processes that require patience and development over time.
Mercury is the planet of communication, intelligence, and learning. Although quick in movement, Mercury is linked to processes that demand constant adaptation and learning. Achieving something with Mercury depends on the ability to communicate, analyze, and learn from situations. Progress is incremental, as Mercury's success relies on accumulating knowledge, experience, and adapting to various scenarios.
Jupiter is the planet of expansion, wisdom, and spiritual growth. It governs generosity, ethics, and natural law, but its action is slow because it involves the search for meaning and truth. Jupiter’s achievements require long-term vision, the expansion of horizons, and internal growth. Since Jupiter also symbolizes teachers and gurus, it teaches that true success comes with patience and the gradual maturing of understanding.
Saturn is the planet of time, discipline, and restriction. It is known for testing patience and resilience, imposing challenges and obstacles that slow down progress. Saturn rules over karma and maturity through experience. Its achievements are lasting, but only come after much effort, hard work, and overcoming limitations. It rewards only those who persist and learn from difficulties over time.
These planets require a continuous process of development, patience, and persistence before delivering significant results.
Wherever these planets are in houses in your chart, something will take time to come to fruition. Mercury in the 5th house, for example, may indicate that your higher education will be necessary to achieve your goal, and this may take time. Saturn needs improvement and therefore achieves success in the course of a mature age. Jupiter needs to act in the time of the universe and be very clear in what it is doing, sometimes a person can take time to discover what they really want to do. There is no point in rushing into your career, love life or finances when these three planets are located in these respective houses.
They take the necessary time, but the result will be great.

Saturno é o planeta do tempo, disciplina e restrição.

Ketu: The ROOT of Femininity
”So I came back to the world yet once again as the priestess of the Great Goddess, bringing with me the memory of forgotten arts, one of which is the art of  being a woman. I came because I was sent. There was that needed which I had to give. They did not send in a priestess of the Bright Isis, but of the Dark and Veiled One, because that was the need; and They said to me: ‘You will have tiger teeth, for you will be a Breaker in Pieces. Men will call you the Priestess of All Evil, but you know better.’” -Dion Fortune.
The purest expression of femininity in its most raw and terrifying sense is found in Mula Nakshatra (the lunar mansion from 0° - 13° 20’ Sagittarius), ruled by the Goddess, Nritti. The spiritual power (Shakti) of this nakshatra is to destroy and uproot. Anything that is rooted firmly in the truth cannot be destroyed, as truth is immortal and unchanging (which is why #Ketu reveals the Universal, objective truth, just as #Rahu [as Maya] conceals the truth & creates illusions of relativity & subjectivity). ... In the Devi Mahatmaya, a demon arises who the Gods cannot defeat, as he acquired his power from Shiva (The Great Giver— the Ultimate Masculine), and asked that no man could ever conquer him. The Gods then combine their energies and produce the Goddess Chandi & through seduction he meets his defeat at the hands of a beautiful woman. The underlying message of the story alludes to the mystery that it is the Goddess alone who is capable of destroying the impure ego and granting victory. The ultimate destruction comes from the feminine force, seemingly gentle & weak externally but with the natural ability to cause a kind of “implosion”, where one destroys *themselves* (ultimate destruction) through failure to respond correctly to the sexual feminine force. (That which submits, rules; the lowest valley ["the spirit of the valley... the mysterious feminine" according to the Tao Te Ching] conquers all; which is also how Ketu's stillness & unchanging truth conquers with passivity, alluding to why he holds the flag of a conquerer. This is also why a Shakti bija of Ketu is Strim, which is the Stri, or woman, bija).
It is through her destructive power alone that all the evil, error, and impurity in the world are truly exposed and then removed. Without the “fierce” side of the Goddess working naturally through all women, the world would become full of waste. In this way, we should understand that to suppress this heated & transformative female sexuality and the power of the #Goddess in any way is the gateway to impurity (despite dualistic minds who project & blame their own chaotic and uncontrolled response to the female body on the woman herself) and, through letting female sexuality flood the world, it is purified absolutely and transformed into a paradise where the strongest prevail.

Mula. Art by Claudia Richey, from The Nakshatra Oracle.
Roots, Disappointment, Healing
Mula is symbolized by a tangle of roots, showing the attachment to earthly matters we are asked to let go of on this part of the souls journey through it’s evolutionary cycle. Yet at the same time its important to have strong roots that keep us grounded while preparing to reach for the stars, in other words, it’s important to stay anchored in the material world so we can safely reach and let the soul advance without getting untethered. To me, Mula Nakshatra is one with great potential for personal transformation, especially if you are not afraid to do the dirty work, dig deep and unravel some of the entanglement that keep the mind bound. This is a great constellation for research, searching for truth, dharma, unveiling some of the earthly illusions that are part of our everyday life. We find a chance to transcend our earthly suffering here, deep peace can be found in realizing that everything will come to an end, which is where new beginnings are found. It’s also important to come to terms with loss. Ruled by Nritti, the Godess of Disappointment, it shows us that nothing is permanent and we are sure to get disappointed at more than one time in life. She also shows great compassion. Mula has the capacity to truly create change, as long as we can understand it’s nature and can learn to transcend through suffering.
(Also used in The Oracle of Secrets (The Alleyway Oracles).)

Mula Nakshatra - The Creativity of Destruction
Mula is known to be one of the most feared Nakshatras in Vedic Astrology. That is because of its ruling deity, Nritti/Nirrti, goddess of destruction and calamity. However, Mula is placed entirely in the sign of Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter. The benefits here lie in an enormous wisdom, that comes from being able to sharply asses the spiritual nature of every situation, and discriminate between a truth and a lie. Mula gives us the enlightenment of ultimate discernment of true meaning.
Why are people so afraid of Mula? This Nakshatra is a mirror held up in front of people's faces, and people are scared of the reality of themselves more than anything else. Thus, the goddess of this Nakshatra has a scary reputation because of her ruthless, blunt delivery of harsh spiritual truth. Our modern world is scared of Mula more than ever, because our society is largely running on being blinded by shallow Rahu illusions, and to people being victims of this system, it can be painful to admit to themselves, who they are deep inside.
To understand this Nakshatra, one needs to understand the relation between Lakshmi and Alakshmi (Nirrti) - abundance and destruction. The goddess of prosperity Lakshmi carries her sister Alakshmi on her shoulder, because she listens to her wisdom, as to who deserves to have gifts of life bestowed upon them. Lakshmi is the hardest goddess to please. This is because her sister, Alakshmi serves as a gatekeeper and a judge, of who deserves to obtain the blessings of abundance. That judgment is based upon a person's quality of character; the true nature of a person, underneath all their superficial traits, the level of their spiritual development. What this goddess cares about the most is the depth of all matters. The one quality Alakshmi appreciates the most is discernment under pressure - making authentic spiritual choices, even if they're difficult. This is the one goddess, that will care so much more about your actions than just prayer. She is a very harsh judge, and she won't care for empty worship if you don't use her gifts well.
The only way to check a person's character is to test them, make them go through lows, experience destruction, and see what becomes of them. Mula energy wants to prove its worth by undergoing a solitary trial and coming out victorious. This Nakshatra wants destruction and detachment from the material excess (Ketu), so it can experience resurfacing from it expanded (Jupiter). If you want to observe this yourself, and you don't have any Mula placements, this theme is very visible in actors with prominent Mula in their chart, because they pick roles about empowerment, that comes from overcoming a low point.
If you pray to Alakshmi, she will give you wisdom...but this wisdom will come in a form of some trial, that will reveal the truth of your life. This is destruction for the sake of enlightenment, because things that are truly good for you will survive trials. The best you can do, if you have Mula planets, is to thoroughly examine your life. Your partner, your job, your friends, are your relationships honest? Or are they fake and superficial? The way you invest your money, time, emotions, is it wasted, or spent on something profound and worthy? The spiritual direction of your life, is it authentic, or conformist? Alakshmi appreciates this kind of brutal honesty, and rewards you with insight, that allows you to ultimately experience true happiness.
Fun fact from my personal experience - in Vedic tradition Alakshmi is often symbolised by an owl. If you have Mula placements in your chart, check for the symbol of the owl, or even an animal reappearing physically in your life. I have Venus in Mula, and my father, who has Moon in the neighboring Jyeshta, gifted me with an owl figurine on one of our holiday trips, saying "be wise". By wisdom, he meant the wisdom of discernment, running in our bloodline. This is the symbolism of wisdom of Alakshmi, being passed down through generations and being present in our lives, even in a far-away culture, at a time of my life when I knew nothing about Indian tradition. Astrology can sometimes be very much in your face.
As the last of Ketu ruled Nakshatras, Mula is inevitably linked with surrender. Being the final stage of Ketu, Mula offers us the highest spiritual reward. Here we learn to relinquish the pinnacle of achievement, that we acquired in Jyeshta, as we are learning about the spiritual value and the ultimate meaninglessness of shallow things. What comes back to us, is an undisputable, crystallized energetic reality. As a result, we gain the gift of total clairvoyance and the ability to pierce through the material illusion of Maya. That’s why it can be hard to lie to people with Mula placements - they have seen the truth before, they know it, and they will sense it. This wisdom is not something they acquired easily, and these people may often feel like they have lost everything before they gain anything at all, but as a result they obtain the reward of being able to see through material, physical lies completely, and by doing so they reach the very bottom of the soul level reality, ignoring more popularly celebrated values. such as status or superficial achievements.
The most important thing to remember with Mula is that the ultimate discernment is always spiritual in nature. When you approach your physical life, always ask yourself, is that action having a positive effect on my karma, or is it adding to my karmic baggage? Does it add to the world and to the people around me? What are the results of my actions doing to both myself and others? Don't be afraid to let Nirrti destroy what no longer serves you, in order to let true abundance create a new life for you.
How Mula can manifest in your chart - for example, for me with Venus there it very much concerns my values, material possessions, pleasures, what I buy, where I buy, my social interactions and relationships with people in general. It makes you a very good judge of character, but it can make it hard as far as lighthearted relationships and experiences go, because Venus is too busy digging out the truth to relax. It can make it difficult to have fun and let your hair down, because the moment you do, the truth of the other person's character comes out, and it's not always pretty. Synastry configurations with the right people can help.
If you have Lagna, Sun or Moon in Mula, the constant cycle of destruction, rebirth and re-emerging victorious and enlightened will become one of the main themes in your life. It becomes extremely important to maintain integrity, because you can pay for lack of it more than most. Especially with the Sun, you can't let your ego inflate. However, you can also climb very high, if you're willing to put in the work.
Mars can be harsh and a little too hasty and brutal in judgement in this Nakshatra, but there is an element of divine intuition, that seems to be directing this person's actions, due to Ketu influence. The more they go with the flow of it, the more they become the soldier under the universe's command.
If you have Saturn there, you could struggle with being able to regenerate from difficult times early on in life, because of karma. As you get older and more mature, you gain the potential to develop excellent, organized spiritual discernment, even in the most difficult situations. This is a bit of a problematic placement, because Saturn is rigid, and this Nakshatra, despite all its harsh qualities has a natural Jupiterian flow to it. It can make a person very critical.
Ketu does well in this Nakshatra, being its ruler. The spiritual, seeking, seeing nature of Mula goes perfectly with Ketus energy, and it teaches us the true value of detachment from the illusion of the material world. Jupiter is also happy here, because it receives the benefit of ultimate wisdom placed in its own sign, and gets this spiritual sharp edge, and Jupiter's excess here can be tempered and the harsher aspects of this Nakshatra can be soothed by faith. Jupiter here will also protect from overindulgence and materialism.
Rahu in Mula is very sharp and intelligent, because Rahu rules illusions, and is greedy and materialistic, and so it can use the destructive energies of Mula and its ability to see through things for its own advantage. It can also become excessively destructive, because of the Jupiter influence, as the truth seems very brutal, reality checks coming from people’s ugly side can be painful. As a result, the suffering from disillusionment here is intense. On the upside, the person discovers suddenly how spiritually gifted they can be, coming from a place of little to no belief in awareness of their own potential, so they can develop quickly and succeed suddenly.

Mula Nakshatra: Revisit of Mars Into Sagittarius
Exercise is a good way to work of this energy but also just let it out by screaming in your empty house. Continue to be 100% focused when doing physical activity and driving as unexpressed anger can rear its ugly head. We have seen too many reports of accidents and injuries already. Stay alert, let the energy out and use it to help others in need. The warrior poses in yoga is a good balance pose for activating the third eye nakshatra and alertness inactivity according to the best astrologer in Kolkata.
Tumblr media
The warrior pose in yoga is a good balance pose for activating the third eye nakshatra and alertness inactivity. This transit will have the largest impact on Aries and Scorpio’s rising signs, and it might promote intuition, spirituality, and a desire to withdraw from the world for Aries rising signs. If you don't have the luxury of taking extended meditation classes or living in seclusion, you'll need to activate your action button. So make use of Ketu and Mula. Mars is finally moving into Jupiter's sign and the star Mula on September 18th, after months in Scorpio/Libra due to the retrograde this year.
Mula is made up of nine stars towards the end of Scorpio and is the location of the galaxy's center which Western Astrologers refer to as the Galactic Center. The wonderful part of the sky looks like a white river in the night sky. Mula means “root” or “the center” and people who have a sun, moon, or ascendant lord in this constellation are very direct and do not like to beat around the bush. This is the core of the galaxy and it is ruled by Ketu who wants to get to the core of everything: hidden motives, events, core roots. Ketu is connected to past lives and Mula wants to tie up all the talents from one’s past lives and bring them together.
It seeks deeply for the truth of existence. Mula's patron goddess is Nritti, the Goddess of Misfortune, yet she is born under the lucky sign of Sagittarius, which indicates she has the power to remove ignorance and expose hidden truths. Even though Nritti is associated with the pinnacle of material achievement, her nature is profoundly spiritual in her endeavor to transcend the domain of ego and self-centeredness.
It will be interesting to see if our legislators change their minds as a result of this travel. This star can bestow power, influence, and material wealth, as well as magical abilities, but it frequently explosively unleashes its energy–as is the case with Ketu. During this constellation’s Ketu/Mars conjunction, the 9/11 terrorist attacks happened. As a result, it has a horrific proclivity for bringing out Ketu's most explosive and evil side, implying that detonating the material can point and compel one to the spiritual. Adolf Hitler was the embodiment of destruction, with Jupiter conjunct Ketu in this nakshatra and no balancing effect from Saturn. Let's hope the terrorists don't gain confidence in their mission throughout this passage, since this is exactly what happened on 9/11 according to the best astrologer in Kolkata.
Tumblr media
Mula unites the energies of Jupiter and Ketu, resulting in positive spiritual transformations. With Jupiter's blessing, it can grant magical abilities to people in need. Mars is in a good position for in Sagittarius, which can lead to taking advantage of opportunities, gaining more education, wealth, and leadership, as well as becoming spiritual warrior philanthropic causes.
Mars will be unaffected here, but later in the transit, around mid-October, it will be afflicted by Rahu, bringing out the darker aspects of trying too hard to succeed, hurting others' feelings, manipulation, and rabble stirring.
The initial portion of Mars' transit into Mula on September 18-22nd can make you feel hesitant and indecisive, which can lead to self-doubt and a lack of courage. Mars will be stronger after September 22nd, when it exits the gandanta region (literally, drowning).
Moving into one's spiritual warrior energy and serving humanity without ego is the highest feature of this trip. It can instill pride, strength, and the ability to speak the truth. If you have a Mars/Ketu or Ketu/Mars cycle and your ascendent is Taurus rising or Capricorn rising, you may be vulnerable to fire, electricity, or surgery. Nonetheless, the transportation will encourage political courage and boldness, and it may assist Trump more than Hillary. More truth will be revealed by the best astrologer in Kolkata.
Tumblr media
Mars transits into Purva Ashada nakshatra from Oct. 8 to 26, becoming increasingly related to Venus, and we shall discuss this transit in a few weeks. ( Prash Trivedi, Ken Johnson, and Komilla Sutton deserve special gratitude for their contributions.

War Deities
Aight people in lieu of Kargil Victory Day in India on Sunday (26 july, 1999 - when India whooped Pakistan’s ass in the Kargil war), the theme for this week is war deities.
Now almost all pagan religions have war deities, and in mythologies like Greek and Hindu, almost every single god is related to war. However, there are some deities who are specifically related to war.
Ancient Vedic Hinduism only mentions a few war deities - Rudra, a fearsome warrior from the Western Lands; Kartikeya, a boy-warrior; Shakti and Kali etc. However, these are only given prominence later in the Puranas and stories.
The Vedas hold Indra in high esteem as a warrior, god of thunder and rain and King of the gods. The most fabled war story around him is how he had once killed the dragon Vritra with his fabled Vajra - made out of sea foam and a human skeleton (like seriously SEA FOAM and HUMAN SKELETON!!!?).
The Vedas also mention Nritti - the goddess of strife and death. She had been created cause the Earth was unable to bear the humans. And boom - Nritti is born. She aids the god of death, Yama, in his work, and plus makes humans bloodthirsty.
The war gods mentioned in the Puranas are more renowned. Here are a few :
Tumblr media
1. Durga : The goddess of war and victory, and the patron goddess of all royals, Durga is hailed as the warrior queen. She was created by all the gods collectively to defeat the demon Durgasur (Fortman - sounds like a video game) and his generals Shumbh and Nishumbh, cause they had a boon that only a woman can kill them (see, misogyny and dickheadedness never caused anyone any good). She is also called Mahishasurmardini - the Destroyer of Mahishasur for killing the shape-shifting demon Mahishasur (Bull Demon - sounds like the Minotaur’s Indian cousin). She is shown with a trident and 8 hands holding 8 different weapons, riding a lion.
Tumblr media
2. Kali : Goddess of change and destruction, Kali was formed by the goddess Shakti to aid Durga in her battles. She is most famous for killing the demon Dhumralochana (Smokey Eyes - sounds like the name of your local drug dealer) and Raktabeej (Bloodseed); in fact she had killed Raktabeej by LITERALLY drinking all his blood, cause a thousand more Raktabeejs formed whenever his blood fell on the ground (btw sounds like a great idea for a DnD monster). She is depicted as wearing a garland of skulls, and with four hands - one holding a scythe, one holding a bowl, one holding a skull and one holding a trident. She is shown as standing on Shiva, the god of destruction.
3. The Pleiades - The Pleiades (called the Krittikas in Hinduism) are a group of warrior maidens in Hinduism. Legend states that they were the wives of the Saptarishis, the seven great sages. Once, they were molested by the fire god Agni, but their husbands blamed them for being molested. Tired of their misogynistic, patriarchal shit, they divorced their husbands (GOOD FOR THEM) and formed their own warrior-sisterhood. They are said to roam forests and protect children and women (sounds a LOT like Artemis’s hunt).

4. Kartikeya - The commander-general of the gods, and the god of war, Kartikeya is the son of Shiva and Parvati (couple goals really). The story goes that one day Shiva and Parvati were having sex and Shiva accidentally jerked off on the ground. Now at the same time, there was this demon called Tarakasur (Treeman - sounds like evil Groot {just kidding, Groot can never be evil}), who had a boon that only Shiva and Parvati’s son could kill him. So Shiva handed over this sperm (yuck) to the fire god Agni. However Agni couldn’t bear the “energy of Shiva’s seed” (double yuck), so he handed it over to the wind god Vayu. Vayu passed it over to the river goddess Ganga, but she literally started boiling, so she deposited this sperm in a forest (yucky yucky yuck) where the forest caught fire. Finally, the Krittikas arrived, and with their powers, transformed that sperm into six babies. They all brought up the babies, trained them in different warforms blah blah blah. Then, Parvati came along to take them back (what are they, laundry?) and hugged them so tightly that they morphed into one being - Kartikeya (literally means the son of the Krittikas). Bada bing bada boom Kartikeya saves the day.
He is depicted with six heads and riding a peacock. He carries a divine spear, and his flag which features a rooster as his emblem (makes sense, you should NEVER mess with roosters). He is shown as an everyoung bo warrior, and is REALLY popular in South India, Malaysia, Singapore, Bali and Indonesia.

Review: The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi  Rating: 2.5/5
“No matter where we are, we’ll always share the same sky. We can always find each other in the same constellation.”
Maya never expected to find a husband. With a horoscope promising death and destruction to whoever took her hand in marriage, she's become somewhat of an old maid. But when someone breaks into the palace, she is whisked away by a masked stranger to a magical land she thought only existed in fairy tales. But the kingdom of Akaran is very real and very dangerous and Maya will need to keep her wits about her if she wants to uncover its secrets.
This was more of a 2.5 for me. The first part was so good with an excellent dose of mystery and a fascinating world but then things just got confusing. After the big twist in the middle, I couldn't keep my focus and couldn't find my way back to the story and what was actually going on. Everything was so jumbled and confusing and that ruined the reading experience for me.
I did like the characters though. Maya was funny and cheeky and wonderfully intelligent. She was such a good match for Amar who I enjoyed getting to know as well. Kamala was funny too - I love a good animal companion in a fantasy novel. There were the supporting characters Gupta, Gauri and Nritti but I feel like they needed to be developed a bit more to make a proper impact on me.
I will say that this reminded me loads of Echo North with the bookish heroine betrayed by her family and whisked off to a magical castle with loads of magic creeping about. If you want to read something with exquisite writing and feels a bit like a fairy tale but want something with a bit more diversity, definitely give this a go.
I'm going to give the sequel and the short stories a shot but, unfortunately, I don't think this series is going to make it into the ranks of my favourites.

Mula Nakshatra: The Primordial Cosmic Force.
Tumblr media
versão em pt-br
Tropical Astrology orients the zodiac to the point of the Vernal Equinox, which marks the beginning of the sign of Aries. Vedic astrology orients the zodiac from the 'Galactic Center' to the center of the Galactic Sun, where influences pass through us via the fixed constellation of Sagittarius. The Galactic Center is called 'Brahma,' the creative force, or 'Vishnunabhi,' the navel of Vishnu. From the Sun emanates the light that determines life and intelligence on Earth, directing the seven rays of creation and the distribution of Karma.
In terms of sidereal astrology, the Galactic Center is located at the beginning of Sagittarius. In the Vedic system, it is found in the lunar constellation (nakshatras) called 'Mula,' which means 'the root' or 'origin.' Mula can thus be seen as the first in the series of lunar constellations. It marks 13º 20' of Sagittarius, in the middle of which the Galactic Center is located. The last in the series of lunar constellations is Jyeshta, which means 'the eldest,' found at the end of Scorpio. This shows that the ancients knew of the Galactic Center and named the constellations accordingly. The Mayans identified the Galactic Center as Hunab Ku, representing the Supreme God and Supreme Creator. It is considered the 'Mother's Womb' that constantly gives birth and gave birth to the Sun and the planet Earth. It is believed that Hunab Ku directs everything that happens in the Galaxy from its center through the periodic emission of 'Consciousness Energy.'
The energy of the Galactic Center is primarily transmitted by Jupiter, called 'Guru,' the teacher in Vedic astrology, and by Sagittarius. Jupiter is said to be the teacher of the Gods, the cosmic power of light. In this regard, he is even the teacher of the Sun, the guide of the world. Jupiter represents and directs Galactic Light to the solar system.
This association of Mula with the Galactic Center suggests a strong connection to primordial and cosmic forces, symbolizing the ability to access deep and transformative wisdom that may surface from intense experiences or a spiritual quest. The strong influence of Mula may manifest as a deep connection with these cosmic energies, reflecting a desire to get to the core of issues and seek the truth in its rawest and purest form.
Ketu, the planet that governs Mula, also deals with reaching the core of everything. It stores past Karmas and releases those mature enough to be experienced in the present. It can help gather the necessary tools to fulfill the objective of the present life. This is suggested by the symbolism of the tied roots. Mula, therefore, helps in gathering, meaningfully, the talents developed in past lives.
Mula is concerned with investigating invisible or unknown things. Along with its counterpart Ardra (which lies directly opposite in the zodiac), Mula has the strongest and deepest sense of investigation among all nakshatras. Mula is directly associated with medicinal purposes. In ancient medicinal systems like Ayurveda, roots of various plants are used for medicine preparation. Similarly, Mula is also related to the root of diseases, such as microorganisms like viruses, bacteria, etc. Like everything under Mula's jurisdiction, these microorganisms are invisible to the naked eye. The fact that the roots are tied suggests a sense of limitation. As a result, Mula often does not allow much freedom or dispersion of energies, causing people to dive deep within a limited sphere.
Mula Nakshatra is deeply connected to the figure of Nritti, a powerful and enigmatic goddess of Vedic mythology. Nritti is often associated with destruction, chaos, and dissolution, but her influence goes far beyond just being a destructive force. She represents the primordial forces that deconstruct and dismantle to allow something new and more authentic to emerge. Nritti is the goddess of transformation through destruction. She governs the process of disintegration necessary for renewal and regeneration, reflecting the idea that for growth to occur, something old must be undone. In many ways, Nritti can be seen as the guardian of the boundaries between the known and the unknown, between comfort and chaos, symbolizing moments of crisis that challenge old structures and beliefs, paving the way for personal and spiritual development. Mula's symbol is a bundle of tied roots, representing the exploration of origins, the unveiling of deeper truths, and the search for the essence of any situation. However, to reach the roots, one must undergo processes of destruction and deconstruction, aspects deeply connected to Nritti's energy. Those who have significant planets in Mula Nakshatra may experience intense moments of destruction and rebirth throughout their lives, being called to abandon old identities, beliefs, and situations to transform into something new and more authentic.
Nritti's influence on Mula also emphasizes the importance of facing chaos and the unknown as part of the path to enlightenment. Mula is the nakshatra of deep investigation, where the sought truth is revealed, often in a harsh and challenging way. Nritti guides this quest, ensuring that illusions are destroyed so that the truth, no matter how raw, can emerge.
It is in Mula's nature to quickly cut and destroy things that have lost their value. Most often, it regrets its actions in hindsight. Only when its Universal will is aligned does Mula operate in a wise, Jupiterian manner. The struggle between universality and individuality reaches its peak here, as individuality is at its highest expression. The process of individualization begins in Ashwini, is celebrated in Magha, and culminates with completed individual experiences in Mula. Beyond the realm of the ego and egocentrism, Mula is a proud and arrogant nakshatra, often unable to comprehend its own power and abilities. In some cases, this is good, as its capacity to inflict damage on itself is restricted by its ignorance. Its terrible and demonic side comes from Ketu's negative functioning in its lower aspects, potentially generating ego, vanity, and arrogance, which can lead someone to commit abominable and demonic actions.

12. look what you made me do - favourite villains?
hello min!! Okay, so when it comes to favorite villains, I pick Nritti from The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi. Her character, although destructive, was also somewhat captivating if you ask me.

Part 2
We can think of this in a physical analogy. If a woman has sex and becomes pregnant, she has responded to the formless yang essence of the man and begins giving it form, nurturing it, and allowing it to manifest.
The full moon woman will do this for a man in more than a physical sense and allow for the manifestation of all of his creative energy and essence in a way that is impossible for him without a woman. She also allows him to grow by giving him a force of resistance in order to train his yang, which allows her, in turn, to continue growing. This is why, without a woman, a man can never truly progress.
The new moon woman embodies the negative aspect of nature or the earth mother, who simply wants to devour, waste, and scatter the yang energy which asserts itself onto her. This is shown in the West with the figure of Lilith, who is not analogous to Kali as some think. In reality, she is the Judeo-Christian version of Nritti, Dhumvati, or one could also say the demoness Diti. A woman who does this turns herself back towards the earth, and is slowly absorbed back into it, leaving any spiritual development impossible. Yang is dynamic, changing, and full of life, where as Yin is static, potential and inert. If she moves away from life, she is dissolved into matter through her complete stagnation. In the physical world, this is like a promiscuous woman who gets unnecessary abortions and enjoys harming men. A woman either learns to give herself up to love and transforms herself like a moth plunging into a flame and becoming totally saved, or acts like a butterfly, going from man to man draining his pollen, which creates beautiful colors but leaves them forever enslaved in the material world and the animal kingdom. She chooses to serve matter and so only exists to feed on the men who cannot control themselves.

#Repost. I found this post echoed some of my own thoughts. Thank you @ayanaastrology for such an illuminating post! 🔥.How surreal was it watching gorgeous 800 year old Notre Dame Cathedral burn yesterday? A symbol of the old guard of the Roman Catholic church, it also happens to be built on the site of an earlier temple to Jupiter. Fascinating, as Jupiter - at his best the upholder of highest morals & principles, at worst a hypocritical zealot - is retrograde & gandant in Mula nakshatra. ✨ Mula is related to Nritti an early form of the Mahavidya (tantric goddess) Dhumavati. Dhumavati is called the ‘beholder of smoke’ - a striking synchrony as the world watched Notre Dame burn. Dhumavati reminds us that intrinsic to the cycles of creation is the material reality that all is in decay. She’s also the protector of the destitute & outcast. This fire a few days before Easter was a fitting symbolic retribution for the Catholic Church which is undergoing long overdue purges & needs restructuring, as the voices of generations of victims of sexual abuse are finally being heard. ✨ There were several indicators for fire in the Sidereal Zodiac yesterday, but this event is a broader symbol of this year’s trend of calling out religious & political leaders & demanding corrective structural change. Sidereal Sagittarius is packed with heavy karmic planets: destructive-regenerative Pluto, stubbornly conservative Saturn & nothing-but-the-truth Ketu in tight conjunction while Jupiter is edging back into Sidereal Scorpio with a roar. ✨ Whatever house Sagittarius rules in our personal charts is a site of unavoidable pressure & transformation this year, more intense if activated by dasha. Consciously exploring this area of our lives can help us notice & test any cracks. Maybe it’s time for an empowering belief update? 💙 Only 💙 #nlp #siderealastrology #mulanakshatra #dhumavati #smokyday #astrologylesson #astrologynerd #wallscomingdown #jupitertemple #tantricgoddess #goddesskali #notredamecathedral #surreal #beliefupdate #ketu #retribution #nakshatras #lunarmansions #1100s https://www.instagram.com/p/BwaCa1ogHmt/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=evwvvlev9sw7

Okay, so I started reading The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi, and I have to say I don't quite like it very much so far. To be honest it simply feels empty, as if there isn't anything really happening, and most of the time I can't even envision where Mayavati physically is, which I think is just poor world building on Chokshi's part.
I'm at the part where Mayavati is uncovering everything and is talking to super fishy and most likely very untrustworthy Nritti, yet Mayavati literally believes everything Nritti says and decides to do as she says. Just stopping here I can tell where this mess is going, and I really do not like it.
It's so recycled, the heroine being pulled into a strange world, not knowing who to trust except the person who brought them into that world, only to find out from some lying scumbag that they're not trustworthy and the heroine goes against literally the person they grew to know and trust, and finds out that they were actually wrong and should have just trusted that person who saved them in the first place. It's just so bland, I'm having a hard time reading it, and I simply don't think I can finish it. There has been no character development at all from Mayavati, and it's unbearable to keep on reading how she thinks she's so strong and smart when she doesn't even really know what's been going on half the time.
Also, while reading it I felt a kind of deja-vu, and I realized that this book is literally like a discount Cruel Beauty, and when I say discount, I mean 90% off discount, no joke. I really like books with this kind of premise, but overall I can't bring myself to finish this book, and realizing that it's so similar to Cruel Beauty just makes me sad, since that book was so, so good.
