And now that the last web tape recorder has died in the archives reality, where they have been freed of all of the fears, we can't listen to them anymore

And the fears, moving somewhere else, allowed us to listen through to another reality, where the characters are most definitely bound to suffer, because the fears have made their way to them, and because we want more.
