Comission Experience

Now I will say sometimes you do have to walk away and accept the way things are but I am honestly just so fe up with so many problems i notice when it comes to the art space.

I realized that many times people from Fanfiction that have reached out to me have been very straight forward with wanting to work. We talk about some details and instantly demand me to pay them, even if I say that the project is just and idea or if I have sereval people I am working at the moment.

This is the final straw when working with others. I will be exposing artist that simply cannot respect boundaries when it comes to anything.

Marsha Gorshe was an artist that I had paid money to create art for my story. I gave them specific details on what to do for the art and expected the exact results with a final plan of $1000.

This is her profile. I got along with her and I thought it was going really well and whatnot. So then when it finally cam to getting the art this what I recommended.

I wanted her to create Jinx from Teen Titans so this is what sent for her to reference in her art.

Because my work is based in a High School AU, I wanted Jinx to be brown. And I told her I wanted her features to be clear. I wanted the brown representation she needed. We agreed she would be in goth attire, having a classroom background, etc.

This is little bit more on the conversation between us. But we talked about it at least three different times. You get the idea right?

All the little details were listed so when she emails me the file, I am specifically expecting that. Even thought it is line work, I was expecting this work to be just like I imagined. This is what I get.

SOOOO of course I tell her that yeah it looks good but it is not at all following the details I provided. I tried to be real cool about, you know. I didn't want to make it big deal. Sure she'll fix it.

So when I tell her what I want, this is what she says.

I have to pay for the changes that were already supposed to be on there? Right.... This is what happened. :(

That meant it would add on the payment.

Literally the more I looked at it, the more I thought that it wasn't even close to what I wanted.

So I after email her the details again and reached out on Instagram it goes down.

I texted a friend real quick just to make sure that I wasn't the one over reacting. I even sent her the own art she had on her Instagram as a reference to be like ,and this is the notification I received from my laptop.

That's not how you talk to clients. You don't make excuses and you don't give them work that you are not fully putting effort into if it is supposed to be worth $1000. I get if a artist is busy but we had the payment plan since like Feburary.....

That is all I said and you can see from the top profile picture bubble that I blocked her.

One other thing I will mention is that she would only work on the art if I paid 50% of it. Totally understandable because I would hate to be ripped off. But the fact that she had the images given to her beforehand and is giving me this is crazy.

But in general, I have had terrible experiences with artist being so rude towards me. I am already so skeptical about scammers. Like no joke she and I had talked about scammers too. Little did I know she was doing the same to me.

I am just very irritated and disappointed with myself too because duh don't trust people on the internet. But then again, this isn't what I asked for and they got upset. I am also extremely stupid for falling for this. I should have picked up on this but I didn't.

Overall be smart and think about who you really work with.

Favorite character: Earth

He's stupid and I love him. He was the main reason I found out about Solarballs. I just wish they’d focus on something beyond his angst.

Least favorite character: SAR

I'm not really interested in his storyline. Even though I like his design and I'm fascinated by robots, it's just not my thing.

Character you think deserve more love: Caelus/Uranus

I really like everything surrounding this character and, in a way, I understand him. I’ve seen that he gets a lot of hate on TikTok, but I think his reaction is valid, not every character needs to have a perfect cardboard-cutout personality and morality. He’s shown that he cares, he’s just tired. Please let him come back soon 🥲 I really hope they don’t rush or compress his centric episodes.

Character you think gets too much love: Earth

As much as I love him, the way they give him the spotlight always for something angsty makes it feel a bit tired(fanon and canon). The script passing gets on my nerves sometimes, cutting off other arcs just to center everything around him…🙃

Character you're completely indifferent about:

Character you want to see more of: Caelus/Uranus and Saturn!

If we're talking about the current arc, I want to see Uranus/Caelus. I want to see his reflections and comfort, I hope Jupiter sees him soon, I don't know if I should have high hopes for how they'll resolve their conflict… if he pull a "this isn't you" moment, I'm going to scream🫠.

If we're talking about the future, I've seen rumors about Chrysalis becoming a character , I find it interesting to imagine what their relationship with Saturn would be like, since he's a very sensitive planet I'd love to learn more about.

Character you think has missed potential:

I have mixed feelings about Neptune, he used to be one of my favorites, but now I'm not really sure what they have planned for his character. They dropped the fact that he was having a conflict with Triton, only to cut it off, and I guess they resolved it off-screen? There are too many assumptions and I honestly don't know where they're trying to take it.

Character who has a similar personality to you:

Callisto, we have a similar way of speaking, and I relate to being apathetic, using sarcasm, and having a fascination with "darkness." While I'm evasive, I also care.

Character with your favorite design:

Iapetus… I have no words, such a unique design with that black eye. I love the color contrast, I really like it. 10/10 for me.

Character you didn't like before but you like now:

Ganymede... wow, I really enjoyed seeing his character development. Watching how much he's changed in his decision-making feels so satisfying to me.

Character you'd befriend IRL:

I struggled a lot to decide, since I feel like I can identify with all the characters, but I think being with Luna would be something really pleasant and fun.

Favorite duo: Jupiter and Saturn

God, every time I see it, it makes me feel homophobic🤭 /joke

I think the duo they are is very beautiful, it is so sweet whether romantic or platonic, I genuinely enjoy seeing them together.

Favorite friend group: Rocky planets!

I like that they’re silly with each other, their dysfunctional representation but still caring for each other feels sweet. I hope they get a break in the script soon.

For those of you who don't understand Taco’s complex character, think she's a straight up terrible person, or just want to know my view on her... this is the chapter for you! I will be going over analysis, psychology facts, and head cannons that align with her character.

Let's start with copy and pastes with Ideas I've already conveyed in other media's;

How come nobody here actually sees II in the light of a *REALITY SHOW*. A thing that's meant to bring out the worst in people? Like genuinely it makes me so frustrated that people can't see that. Characters like Steve Cobs/Walkie/Springy have no excuse, as they were never shoved into the environment. But the Gameshow was not only nonconsensual but offers 1 MILLION DOLLARS. in the light of 2011? THATS A LOT OF DAMN MONEY. most gameshows offer 10k, or 100k? 1 MILLION IS A LOT. Just to put it into perspective try to imagine the difference between 100k and 1Mil in marbles.  the human brain simply can't process that high of a number.

Onto the psychological effects. IT CAN PUT HIGH STRESS ON IT'S CONTESTANTS. and I'm just gonna say it right now. What Balloon, Trophy, and Taco did isn't that bad. LIKE I SWEAR. PSYCHOLOGICALLY IT MAKES SENSE FOR THEM TO USE STRATEGY LIKE THIS. The only thing I'll call Them out on was their rude comments and nature after the fact, but you also have to realize it's to exaggerate their negative antagonism towards the other contestants. In a game show like that it invokes behaviours that would otherwise not be part of their character. Trophy can be seen being a better person once not in the Gameshow. Cheesy was rude as shit until he wasn't in the Gameshow, Balloon reflected on his character when he wasn't in the Gameshow, Taco— oh! Would you look at that! Became better when she wasn't in a game show! Sure she acted shitty in some cases, but that was when money was still put on the line. I'm absolutely furious people can't realize that the Gameshow invokes that behaviour. Nobody cancels people from survivor when they act shitty. In fact, they Invited the shitty people TO PLAY AGAIN??? AND PEOPLE ROOTED FOR THEM??? People actually need to look at it from a bigger perspective.

Taco has conveyed the thing I've believed and tried to communicate on multiple occasions. THE GAMESHOW BRINGS OUT THE WORST IN PEOPLE!!! The only problem is that SHE DOESNT BELIEVE SHE HERSELF IS EFFECTED SIMILARLY. She's been berated and convinced she's a horrible person, and that she needs to act the way she does because that's who she is. Taco probably thinks she deserves what she's gotten, and was always too scared to confront Pickle directly. She probably thinks she needs to have circumstance around her change in order for her too aswell, considering how she wanted to go back with the Time Machine, but, when confronted by Mepad she denied it. I feel like the plot is pointing towards a situation where she tries to save everyone, and when confronted by Microphone she breaks down and curses herself out for being a horrible person, friend, and other things similar. Microphone and Pickle. Creating a situation where they show Taco that the game made her the way she was too. That she didn't have to be the villain.

Notice how Taco never blamed Mephone directly for the shortcomings of others? Sure she did say it was for his entertainment, but never that it was his fault. She blamed the game. Something NO OTHER VILLAIN HAS DONE. She taking account for her mistakes, THINKING ITS HER. And not stressful circumstances! She doesn't understand she's not a villain, She's just *human* (or object for that matter). A living breathing being. Mistakes don't make you the bad guy.

Also saying Taco has no will to make try and apologize for the sake of others is stupid too. She clearly wants to. She REALLY does. She's scared to hurt them, she's scared she will hurt the again.

(Spoilers for a Spider-Man no way home)

Its a similar trip to what happens at the end of Spider-Man NWH, she isn't going back because she thinks she's protecting them from herself. She genuinely believes she ruins everything she touches. She tried to do so by sabotaging the challenge!

Taco didn't really manipulate Microphone—??? I know what you're gonna say. "Ohh!! Wisp! Yes she did!!!" But— I mean... Rewatching it? If she is— it's... more of peer pressure than direct manipulation??? I mean. She never forced Microphone to do anything. Applauded her input... LET MICROPHONE LEAVE? There was no guilt tripping or alienation, Direct threats to Microphone and her friends. It was more so pressure about the game. Which was— probably Taco perceiving herself as still in the competition. Needing to out smart the others to get Microphone further. Taco seemed to admire Microphone's pacifist nature after a while. And I believe when she Attacked the aliens in ii14, she acted out of blind fear, like an unexpected twist in a challenge. You could tell her initial reaction wasn't malice, it was more of a natural response. She was more protecting Microphone than anything else. Trying to get her out as fast as possible.

I myself have been through a manipulative relationship, and... While I know all experiences aren't the same.

It doesn't feel malicious. Taco felt genuine. She wants to protect others from her own mistakes and herself. She's unknowingly putting others first! She doesn't even realize it! Taco is trying to be a villain only to mistakenly be good, and when she tries to be a hero, she's mistakenly bad... I feel bad for her. She doesn't understand she... Has it right now. It's sad...

What about the situation with balloon?

Well...

She tried to convince Mic to harm him, but never threatened Microphone or herself. Nor did she try to alienate balloon to make it more appealing. Taco pointed out a situation and gave a morally Grey solution. But she never forced Microphone to go with it, she just warned her of potential consequences.

People often mistake her strategy with manipulation. When... Taco didn't really manipulate anyone. She pretended, and provided input. Knowing actions have consequences from her own experience.

Taco is experiencing the "illusionary truth effect" otherwise known as "gaslighting":

It is a psychological FACT that if one, or other's repeatedly give you information, even if it's false, eventually your mind will begin to perceive it as true. It's why bullying can negatively effect someone, or even just simply saying, "hey fatty" as a joke. Even if you're the skinniest human being on the planet, If you or another says say it enough, the subconscious will inevitably perceive it as true, despite if you know it's false. Even something stupid, like, "The sky is red." Well, no. The sky is blue. You think. But, if someone were to bash that into your skull every day. Ranting on about how the sky IS RED. You're mind will betray your knowledge.

Everyone constantly talks about her in a bad light. Say she's horrible. A good for nothing liar. She's going to perceive it to be true in the end. And she has...

Saying Taco is nothing but a terrible person, and a villain just isn't true. She's an Anti hero, anti villain AT WORST. Not to mention her childish decisions and mind sets make her seem in her teen years, as per my head canons. That only makes her mind MORE malleable and vulnerable. Taco is a complicated Character. But that doesn't mean she's the worst human on the planet. Please, if you don't agree with what I've said, before you berate me, rewatch the show, or atleast look up the psychological effects and other such I included in this rant. I may add onto this in the future, so keep an eye out for a future Taco analysis.

There's a big German rail fan forum that recently had a bit of a debate about community standards. This forum (Drehscheibe Online) is one of the largest online communities for German rail fans and also includes a very high percentage of rail professionals, like conductors, engineers, mechanics, the CEO of the infrastructure department of the German railroads, normal stuff. You won't find me there, though, I don't even have an account, because it's a rather toxic place full of people who have beefs with each other or everyone, insult anyone for everything, and insist that they're the only ones who could possibly be correct at any moment. And I am not the only one who sees things that way. (Could I deal with that environment? Absolutely. But after many years in video game forums in my younger days, I really don't want to do that anymore.)

One particularity of that forum that I want to dig in is an unwritten but strictly observed rule that all posts, or at the very least all new threads, start and end with a greeting, like a letter. Imagine if I started every blog post with "Hi, everyone!" and ended it with "Bye!". Nothing wrong with that, but highly unusual in our internet world. It stands out. This isn't a rule enforced by mods, but if someone doesn't do this, at least one person, often more, will assume that the OP is deliberately trying to be rude and offensive and attacking them personally.

In the discussion about community standards, there was the question of whether this rule should be left in place, or whether the community should be more tolerant towards people unaware of it. The arguments for this change were:

It's not actually disrespectful to leave these things out, it's the normal way people talk on the internet.

New users won't expect this rule, why would they? Sure, they could always lurk more, a valid advice for joining any online community, but even so they might not necessarily pick up on the fact that it's a rule rather than just something people do out of habit.

It's a basic sign of respect

It's so much nicer if everybody shows proper respect, which this obviously is.

They don't teach kids proper manners anymore.

I don't know how that discussion ended, I assume it just petered out without any result, as these things normally do. Obviously I have an opinion on which side I find more convincing here, you can probably guess it from the way I summarised things. But crucially, I don't think the actual rule matters much; what counts is how people react to those who unknowingly violate it. There's nothing wrong with an online community having a specific non-obvious social ritual. It's one of the little things in life that makes things more interesting. What matters is the assumption that those who violate the rule do so out of bad faith, because they deliberately want to be annoying, or are too stupid to understand basic etiquette, when neither is true. People just don't know the rules of this community.

Anyway, let's talk about rules for commenting on fanfics.

Everybody knows that you're not supposed to say anything negative on fanfics whatsoever, no constructive criticism, no nothing, only praise. Everybody also knows that you shouldn't compare things. Don't say this is better than canon; don't say this is better than that other ship; don't say that you normally dislike this ship. Everybody knows you're not supposed to ask for more, or for updates.

And everybody knows that not enough people are leaving comments, often because they're too intimidated.

Hm…

For online communities to thrive and be nice places, I fully believe there needs to be a certain level of tolerance for behaviours that are against community standards but ultimately harmless. That includes comments that are less than ideal. Maybe even people who leave less-than-fully-flattering remarks in public bookmarks (I follow the rule against doing that, but I am not sure I actually agree with that rule in the first place, but that's a different discussion). The fact that people are engaging at all is a good thing. I'm sure there are some fanfic writers who get way too many comments and can afford to be picky, but those are not the majority.

I am not saying we need to abandon these community standards. I am just advocating for the principle of tolerance: Follow these standards in what you write, be accepting of others who aren't aware of them yet.

I think we can and should be a nicer place than an online forum for German boomers.

Putting my info dumping in a separate post because I would be terribly rude if I explained Latin to a fellow Latin speaker and also wow this evolved into a whole thing while I was on my phone in the bathroom:

Latin uses verb endings to express who is doing the action, and also the tense and mood of the action. So "amo" is "I love", while "amas" is "you love" and "amat" is for any singular third party - "he loves", "she loves" or "it loves". If we say for example "amavi", now we're in the past tense, "I loved" or "I have loved". Throw it in the passive and we have eg. "amaris", "you are loved". Plurals too, so you can have "amabunt", "they will love". It gets complicated. There's a table with like a hundred forms of every verb.

When we cheer "vivat" we're using the present active singular third-person subjunctive in the "iussive" sense, as a kind of alternative to the imperative. It's hard to directly translate - the imperative is for giving an order, "do this!", and the iussive can do that more indirectly because it doesn't have to be directed at the listener, it can be conjugated to be about anyone. If I want to tell someone, "Fight!" I use the imperative, "pugna!" whereas if I want to express "that guy ought to fight" as opposed to "YOU ought to fight RIGHT NOW" then I might say "pugnet".

So you could translate "vivant" as "May they live!" or "Let them live!" or "They are to live!" or something. Whereas "vivat" is "he/she/it must live!" or "may he/she/it live!" and so on. It'd technically be "vivamus" for a group you're in ("may we live!") and "vivas" or "vivatis" speaking directly to someone ("may you (singular) live" / "may you (plural) live") but I don't think anyone expects that much Latin of anyone. We can just about barely remember that "vivant" is plural.

"Long live!" is a reasonable translation because these sorts of things only exist in context. When you hear, "Ten thousand years!" you understand that that's a particular cultural expression which expresses, "I hope this person lives for ten thousand happy years," rather than "Go to jail for ten thousand years!"

And similarly with, "Vive la France!" (which is basically "vivat France") and, "Long live the king!" - they're cultural expressions.

If you were doing a very liberal translation, "Long live!" might be a reasonable translation for "vivat", but in another context you might go for, "I hope they live happily ever after." Happily ever after is another cultural idiomatic phrase. There's nothing in "vivat" which specifies we are wishing them a long life; it's just "let them live!" and you can imagine you're wishing them a happy life or a long life or an honourable life.

The subjunctive is used for a LOT of things, though. It's not just the iussive. It's also used for expressing uncertainty and conditionals, for example, so in another context and another sentence the word "vivat" might be translated as "he might be alive?"

Which is silly. But. Iiiii kind of love that. In my head I translate "vivat" as a hopeful "long live!" but also as a determined, "STILL ALIVE! STILL ALIVE! STILL ALIVE!"

Because many things from history and the past might have died out. And we might be reconstructing things wrong. And the world often seems doomed and like it's going to shit. But isn't it glorious that just maybe, the best parts of the past are still alive in us?

This is why I love our cheer very very very much.

However. If you want to be stupid and silly around camp in a totally academic way, because of course you do, "bibere" - "drink" - is conjugated the exact same way as "vivere" - "live" - and b/v are such close sounds that they're commonly substituted for each other as languages change over time (eg. modern Greek says 'beta' like the English v, not the English b), so, "bibat" is both a plausible way that SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE IN EUROPE might have once said "vivat" and also means "let him/her drink!" ie. "give him more alcohol!"

I am never stupid and silly in court. I'm a herald. However if I want to speak Latin after midnight I think that's my inalienable right as a Scotsman.

Also. Latin speakers in ancient Rome probably would've pronounced it with a W sound. Like "wiwat". I have never done this because I suspect everyone would glare at me. But it's TECHNICALLY CORRECT, THE BEST KIND OF CORRECT.

Later, Kabru suspects Laios stumbled into saving the world, but my man was seriously planning six steps ahead. He came up with the ultimate plan to kill the ultimate monster.

Marcille is understandably upset that the lion stole her cool outfit. She wanted to show that to Falin later!

The demon isn't malevolent my ass. It knows what Mithrun wants. It just can't be assed to bother.

I know the right page is the important one, but oh my god. Laios, did you seriously doodle blueprints of your stupid "Falin lives in a hole now" plan? Did you seriously doodle your "female faligon" idea?

Of course Laios' takeaway from the succubus was that Scyllas are cool. Fun fact, some of these details are actually relevant. The ability to change shape is apparently how he managed to return to human form, and the poop thing explains why New Melini is forested despite being underwater for 1000 years.

Marcille isn't even surprised at this point. Just deeply disappointed.

So I was bored yesterday night and I took a few 'who's by bllk bf' quizzes...out of which on one quiz I got...

and this one particular quiz and it's questions made me realise....

Everyone has that one character they find the most interesting/fascinating and notice the FIRST, mine was Kunigami.

And then he said "I like to play it fair." And my mind INSTANTLY ran back to all the moments and I realised he was NOT one of those mean guys who was at other's throat. (I mean, pardon. When I started blue lock that's how I summarised it in a nutshell : teenage boys at each other's throat to achieve their goal. I mean, it was pretty early on in the show so I didn't have individual opinions on every character.)

It was that moment that I realised he was actually a calm guy who had morals and principles (hot. Very very hot.) AND HE DID stick to them at all times.

I mean, even after wild card, he still does. Let's not forget that he did assist Isagi in his goal. He has gotten harsh with words, so what? He has gotten more cold, so what? He has become more of a lone wolf, so what?

SO. WHAT?

I'll never understand why this fandom is SO mean to him. First of all, not all cold/rude guys are BAD. Besides, we haven't seen him interact with non-rivals/normal people after wild card. Second of all, honestly? What do y'all even expect? Have you not gone through a high stress period? Have you not been through a VERY INTENSE trauma in a VERY SHORT period?

If you haven't, you better not comment on my baby or i WILL fight you. 😠

Let's not forget he had to beat 264 HUNGRY AND VILLAINOUS guys in wild card. (I mean, our MC Isagi himself came to that point many times throughout season 1 where his dreams were at stakes. If those kids were so intense in blue lock can you imagine what would've happened in wild card? Yep. 100x worse. I wouldn't be surprised if there were sabotage attempts at him multiple times. Or if what happened at wild card is WAY worse than what we are expecting. Then would y'all come back apologising, just like you did with Kaiser?)

And as of what we know about wild card, a lot of factors were out of the control of a player. I mean, how your body is and whether you can shape it to be ambidextrous is NOT in your control. Of course in that case he worked the hardest to stay in the competition. He's still going VERY STRONG for someone who has pushed himself past his limits and overworked himself. (You don't understand guys, the changes he bought to his body...how much time did he even had for that? 1 month? 2 month? No. As someone who has been to gym and been on a good diet with muscle training and weight lifting, those changes are TOO BIG to be easily achieved in that span of time. If I could, I would take all the Kunigami hate and disrespect and direct it towards that monk boy. I DESPISE him oh my god. If anything, we should be thanking Kunigami (REO stans, I'm looking at you). If we look plot wise, he and Reo were at equal chances of losing at blue lock and of course, OF COURSE Reo was chosen. Mikage is not a character who was designed to someone who has the potential to survive wild card. Kunigami was someone who's muscle power and build was highlighted since the beginning. Besides, that match with Shidou (I don't count the monk dude as a player) must've served to humble REO. That's good atleast. The only way REO and Kunigami could BOTH survive after losing that match was this. So if Kunigami was chosen, REO would've been sacrificed.

I trust kaneshiro as a writer and that's why I'm so curious on what is he trying to convey through Kunigami's story. Is it the harsh and toxic reality that for some people, just good principles won't help you be successful and that you need atleast some toughening up and at least SOME amount of evil to excel? Because if yes, then FUCK YOU KANESHIRO. You didn't have to attack me like that. Ouch. That hurt.

-You have potential, if you do not give a bad picture, he will soon offer you to join General Shao's army to take down the queen, is your decision if you accept it, but in a no situation he will see you as an enemy or force you anyway

-He dont understand why you use your ice powers for dumb things, like ice skating or ice sculptures, does some sort of things related of creativity or art, he just thinks can be used for battle as more wording thing

-Tho he likes it when you make snow, is relaxing and is like time just stops, like a dream in a deep sleep, he will not admit it or look "weak" at you, but very inside you know he enjoy this

-He will help you to be more stronger and train you so you can defend yourself, at the same time you help him to fight attacks related to ice if anything happen with Bi-Han

Rain

-Good for you, he only has a little experience with Bi-Hand so he will not see you as a enemy as the others, maybe a little but not as big as the others

-Water and Ice, the same element just different structures, surely you two will just play around with both powers, doing an amazing performance, you two is like made of each other

-He will not force you about your powers, but he is very open to helping you to get your potential! who knows what more are you capable of with does powers of yours

-In the end, Rain will be the most acceptable of the rest of the characters, someone who will be connected more fastly from the others, and he is really happy to meet someone like you

-Attack first, ask later, he will capture you before even knows what attacked you, very confusing situation when he takes you to face "justice" so was had a conversation about you have nothing to do to Bi-Han or WHO is Bi-Han

-Good thing dint arrive to face "justice" when finally you give your explanation, he ask you a lot of things to see if you lying, most of them you was confused because you dint know most of them or what he talking about

-He apologies for such a thing and let you free, you accept his apologies and at least nothing bad happened apart of that, he will visit you just to try to start over again in a good way

-He will always get tense each time you use your Ice Powers, dont worry about it, he just same as the rest kinda affected with all the Bi-Han stuff and well he cant tolerate cold temperatures, but he will be less and less tense each time pass with you

-Looking at you, analyzing you, he has suspects about you because you dont look a good-trained ninja, either way, will ask why someone from Bi-Han is here, soon he question was answered seeing you have no idea what he referring tho

-He mostly warns you about the world and does not try anything funny, you are just confused by his cold behavior, but I guess he just have his guard on, after all, even you dont know how to fight you still have powers

-It is just a matter of time he becomes closer to you and calmer around you, he enjoys your performance with your powers, after all he always saw powers used for battle, so seeing use it for entertainment and art was a very change of picture

-He insists you dont need to take care of him, but always you convince him to take care of his injuries with you powers, he can't feel pain unless different circumstances, but he appreciates your kindness

Liu Kang

-He has his suspicions first, but seeing how you behave and how you use your powers he knows you are not part of Bi-Han, he just freaks you out by accident due dint knows he was there watching you doing your performance

-He really enjoys the way you use your Ice powers in such a wonderful way, and he is delighted to see more, you blush due to his nice words and attention, something you not get used to it

-He enjoy how creative you are using your Ice powers in as different ways as possible, you could say the sky was the limit but for you was not, he enjoyed seeing the ice animals being alive and moving around!

-You two sometimes do a performance with both of yall powers, fire and Ice, just as interesting a combination as you could imagine! synchronized to make such an amazing show, he always enjoy pass time with you as you enjoy pass time with him

actually, I'm trying to understand which twin is more obsessed with the other. although Elliot expresses this obsession most vividly.

I mean, let's look at how Elliot behaves with Beverly. Elliot can just grab the phone out of Beverly's hands, Elliot can always say something not very good and something frankly rude to Beverly and the maximum that Beverly can answer her is a softened barb and the words "please," "stop" and so on. Elliot absolutely always violates Beverly's personal boundaries, which cannot be said about Beverly in relation to Elliot. what's interesting, Beverly snaps at absolutely everyone in the series, but she never said anything terrible to Genevieve, and even more so to Elliot.

and yet, despite their differences, their common goal was one thing - to change the way women give birth. but even here, Elliot was interested not only in this, but in real and largely illegal research, experiments and solving any fertility problems, as she says. I think even this goal of hers was based on the fact that Beverly was constantly having miscarriages and she couldn't get pregnant in any way.

so, Elliot wasn't lying about how everything she did in her life was for Beverly.

Beverly always wanted to separate herself from Elliot.

I also like and amuse the fact that the main twin was Beverly, despite the fact that she is younger than Elliot. just for a few minutes.

also, obviously, on of the reasons for their codependent and dysfunctional relationship was that neither of them felt whole without the other. Beverly lacks Elliot's confidence, her ability to dilute an overly tense or stuffy atmosphere with her sarcastic expressions or frankly terrible comments and behavior, while Beverly could remain a more reasonable and collected twin. Elliot, it seems to me, admires and is simultaneously amused by how much Beverly is "human" and sincerely beneficent, unlike Elliot herself. maybe they don't like being each other. Elliot doesn't like to be herself when looking at Beverly, just like Beverly when looking at Elliot.

she called her all the time while Beverly was with Genevieve and at the end of the season, Elliot kept calling Beverly. and it was sweet, how special her relationship with her father seems, that she hugged him and clung to him. Beverly is much cooler in this regard and I don't notice her special affection for any of her parents.

I ALSO REALLY HOPE THAT ALL OF YOU HAVE PAID ATTENTION TO THE EXCEPTIONALLY DELICIOUS FRAMES FROM THIS SERIES. WHAT THE HECK. LOOK AT THIS.

I love this moment when it feels like the authors of the series are talking to us through the characters. At the beginning of the series, it seems to me, there was a message for fetishists or just perverts who like to jerk off on this stuff, sexualizing the relationship between brothers and sisters, and even more so if they are twins, then this is a complete collapse. It's the same here. Agnes seemed to be speaking the authors' thoughts, talking to us a little and talking to Elliot a little. The musical accompaniment after that moment really scared me. As I said, it felt like the fabric of reality had been torn. I think the same melody would have played out in my head if I had deliberately pushed someone from a height. Really. It's like playing a cute game, so that after 5 hours of passing in comfort and peace you would see the most terrible and frightening screamer.

you know, Elliot is really cool. she's fucked up, she's incredibly fucked up, crazy, and I'm sure if she were a real person, I'd really hate her and at the same time want to be friends with her or something *wink wink*, but Beverly… Initially, I really liked Beverly, because I considered and consider her very sweet, kind, quite patient at some moments when my own patience would burst in a second, and this really inspires respect for her. In short, she's the perfect partner in crime. I was struck by how calmly she reacted to Elliot's words that she might have killed some old lady. the old lady that both Elliot and Beverly saw. at the very beginning of the season, this woman asked them for change, and Elliot gave her her glasses. definitely, if Elliot is fire, then Beverly is clearly ice. not water. at the same time, incredibly fragile, but resistant enough to pierce someone and not be broken at the first blow, and easily melting in the heat.

it was really hurtful to see. I promised you, baby sister," and in the next photo she seems to remember Genevieve, who has now become much closer to Beverly than Elliot. now it is her that Beverly can call "my everything", now Beverly shares all her feelings and worries with Genevieve. I can't blame her, Elliot is bad at comforting someone, and Genevieve is so sweet, attentive and kind to Beverly when she needs it.

I'm really desperate for some terribly dramatic movie starring Rachel Weisz. at first it would have been a wonderful and even funny movie, but then the world of the main character would begin to collapse, and her mind would come apart at the seams, so that there would really be a lot of very incomprehensible scenes, which, however, have too much hidden meaning in themselves, so that each scene would scream something like "unravel me". so that there is a frequent play of light and shadow, colors, objects, symbols. And of course, the main character should show a very different range of emotions, ranging from laughter to incredible hysteria. I'm sure this movie would have brought Rachel another Oscar, because I watched almost all of her filmography and she didn't often perform such emotions as tears and suffering, but I like how she performs something similar to madness, despair, disbelief here. I really like how her eyes start to run in this scene and she tries to control her facial expression, because at any moment she can break off the hinges. And she has a really beautiful neck, by the way.

I really like this scene too. in the first photo, it seems as if Beverly's eyes were shining with happiness, because after all, she wanted it, and in the other one it feels like the light in her eyes went out after realizing that she was pregnant with twins, when she wanted at least something in her not to remind her of her. it would be nice to draw this.

Katsuki’d hated his power, even at half his potential, Todoroki was able to easily wipe out the competition, easily surpass Katsuki without giving one fuck about it. Emotionless in the face of his superiority.

Then they failed the provisional license exam, and things changed.

“Thanks for dinner.” Todoroki, or Shouto, as he should really call him, says as he sits next to him on the couch. He leans against his side, even though it isn’t an armchair, and there’s enough space for him to sit comfortably with a good foot between them.

Katsuki hums in response, “You’re staying over, right?”

Shoto shrugs, “I guess so, I haven’t stayed overnight in a while. Yaoyorozu asked how things were going. I think she thought our fake relationship was going downhill. Though this couch is uncomfortable.”

He turns to look in Katsuki’s eyes. Katsuki returns the gesture, and it goes quiet for a second.

Soon after he’d finally debuted as a pro-hero, after he’d finally hired PR people, an annoying prerequisite to being a high-level public hero, he’d been told his image was too sharp, aggressive and angry, he didn’t appeal to most, he lacked most likeable aspects of his ‘archetype’, he was the bad boy that didn’t go to bars, the playboy that never brought anyone home. It didn’t fit.

‘All your rough exterior and rude personality seems to hide, is that you really really care about your work. You’re like a remake of Endeavor, but more… villain I suppose.” Was something that was said to him once, and restated in different words many other times.

To repair this ‘issue’ they decided to go for the most hair-brained scheme imaginable.

They both stand up and walk to Katsuki’s bedroom. Neither of them say anything, and it’s comfortable. Ever since their second year in UA it’s always been comfortable, when it’s just the two of them.

Todoroki comes with him to hero galas and every other press event, to keep up the charade, but it isn’t grating, he stands by his side, he’s someone Katsuki wants to be around, and stays with him as he’s tossed between reporters that go between political to vapid in a second.

“Do you have anything I can wear?” Shoto asks.

“Yeah,” Katsuki replied easily, then told him where he stowed his clothes.

He walks out, probably out to take a shower before sleeping.

Katsuki looks back to the bed. He’s got enough pillows to make a wall between them, but it’s too much effort. He doesn’t care if they get tangled up together in the night. Todoroki won’t say anything about it.

Shoto returned, his wet hair had fallen limply over his face, his left side taking on a darker shade of red, more crimson than usual, contrasting even more with his white hair.

He chose to wear one of Katsuki skull t-shirts and black sweatpants. The clothes didn’t fit as well on him, the former a bit too wide and the latter a bit too short.

They laid down, and fell asleep.

Katsuki opened his eyes to Shoto with his arms around him. He was still asleep, like he usually woke up later in the mornings than Katsuki.

Katsuki tried to move away, but Todoroki tightened his hold. Katsuki sighed. He had the day off today, he could stay in bed and wait for Todoroki to wake up, but if it took too long, he would definitely get him up.

As he laid in his arms, Katsuki felt Todoroki’s breath rise and fall. He looked mostly the same as when he was awake, his face still mostly emotionless. His hair was a bit more tousled, the red and the white mixing together. His limbs were a bit more limp, but not by much.

As he waited for Shoto to finally get up, Katsuki carefully moved a few strands of his hair around, back with their respective color, then he ruffled it up again, it looked better messy.

He very much did not, all four times that I saw it. Regardless, Henry said No. That alone should have been grounds for Patty to see that this was not the right moment to kiss Henry, that he was afraid and not mentally well, and that he was not, in fact, giving consent to being kissed. It fits into the larger pattern of behavior of Patty ignoring Henry when he says No or Stop.

I don't present the Mindflayer as good. I don't try to portray the Mindflayer as a loving person who Henry should end up with. I also offer a direct look into Henry's mind and tell the reader that he is, indeed, simply playing hard to get. But I wouldn't expect you to understand that concept, it's a little nuanced for your level of comprehension.

I don't want to put everyone in the same bag but many people with that take are /were (it's been a while really) extremely mean and rude about others takes sometimes. Lol yes, that's exactly what I imagine his best "advice" is like when he isn't trying an especially manipulative and deceitful method. Hi guys update

Instead of the letter, I sent a text. I couldn’t wait. I was on call with my bestfriend Sydney because I needed the motivation to send it. I had this feeling inside of me that I was running out of time for his love. Other part of me thought he would wait for mine to return. But still I was calm, I asked myself to have no expectations. That what I did.

At 10:25 pm I asked him if we could try again. I asked him to forgive me for the way I acted in our relationship and that I was changing. I don’t want to share too much details because I’m at a family gathering with my sisters in-laws that I have no connection with so if I cry I don’t want them to ask why in their weird, patting hands on my back, way.

And a few minutes passed when he replied “I understand and I’m glad that you have been doing better on your part. Right now, I’m not ready to be in a relationship,” a breath exhaled from my mouth, not of relief but a breath when you know it’s all for nothing. Every feeling I felt tried to leave my body that moment. I had a belief that if somebody didn’t want you there, you leave. But I couldn’t let that guide my feelings then. Nothing guided my feelings actually. Almost like a flash flood in a cave. They consumed me.

I ended the call with Sydney and sat there for a few minutes. My head was filled with stabbing remarks about myself but overall I was glad I didn’t have any expectations. I crawled in my bed. The A/C was on and the soft duvet hugged me as I thought how to respond. I almost went the responsible, respectful and mature way, texting only a “ok, goodbye,” and wallow throughout the night. My head was brewing though. I guess I thought this was him being unsure. It was so cold and rude, all those months together and he couldn’t care less to give me more then 2 sentences, it was like the sea collided with a patch of cloudy rain water on my screen. Pathetic and small. I instead responded “But i thought you loved me.”

Anyway, I begged. It’s so easy to break promises to yourself. I told him how I’d been in love with him since sophomore year and how I would do anything to be with him. He said this:

I imagine he said this to me like he was on a knee and his hand was on my shoulder. Like he was going to leave and put his baseball cap on my head to give me one last thing to remember him by. That he thought maybe this was the message where I would finally get it. He doesn’t love me anymore.

He asked if my family gave me advice. I replied quickly,

“Yes

Yours?”

Their advice was asking him if this was short term love or long term lust. He said this was short term love. I asked him to be true because the coldness that radiated off his words didnt match whatever tone he tried to convey. Sometimes i dont think any of this is real. we've done all our communication through text its like he's not a real person. I wonder if its my mind trying to protect me. I don't know anymore. Anyway, he said its true. It confirmed that he doesnt love me anymore. I told him that I don't think I could ever stop loving him. He told me that I will. That i'll meet my right person. But he doesnt understand that he is my right person. Like everything in this world is changing and feels like a tornado of never ending problems but he was the change that was good. He's my home why can't he understand me. Why can't he remember when I was his too?

After this I asked him why he didn't love me anymore and he said

"I've moved on."

My face contorted and my eyes puffed and closed tight trying to hold in the tears.

One month is 30 days. I guess he was perfectly fine after a week. Maybe two, if I give myself the benefit of the doubt that his heart still remembered how mine felt on top of it. I tried to make the duvet hug me closer. I needed something else to absorb the impact of the pain he threw at me. It was like a flash and my heart started to hurt and compress then decompress like the nights where I couldn't sleep and just think of him.

I thought about a lot of things during those palpitations. How I ran out of time. That he got over me. He said it with such ease that it certain that was true. Its so embarrassing that I knew it and he told me, but nothing changed in that moment. Pathetically, I still loved him. I still love him now, my face so tired of tears and my body taking short breaths. I can't help it. He's the only person that understands me and has seen every part of me. I couldn't understand then and in the present on how he moved on so fast.

I got angry. My hands were typing before they realized but I was too blind to make them stop. I told him that my mothers advice was to just leave him alone. I continued, "I didn't think she was right because how can someone get over the person they LOVED so quickly." He didn't answer quickly enough because I asked him how can he just turn off his emotions after everything we went through together. Then he told me "it's been 2 months." He didn't even know how long we had been apart for. so I'm guessing he was already over me before we stopped dating. I didn't know that a week was a long time. I corrected him. I even told him the date of our parting like it was marked on my calendar. He says "Either way," EITHER FUCKING WAY? YOU CARELESS ASSHOLE YOU CANT EVEN REMEBER THE DAY WE LEFT EACH OTHER????

Excuse me, I interrupted him. He says, "Either way, I had a month to think about everything. I did think about everything." I just laid with my phone so close to my eyes that I felt the strain growing but couldn't drop it with the grip my hands had. I couldn't do anything but just stare. Stare at what has gotten me here. Begging for a boy who doesn't even care. At one point I even sent him "what am I doing," he didn't respond. What was he supposed to anyway? Care? How would he know how to do that with a girl he doesn't love?

Well he continued after his truth. That regardless if he still loved me that his mother wouldn't let him date again. I was a bit stunned. This was the first time he has explained anything. I told that I didn't know his mother said that. Then he said "It's ok. Don't worry. Guess I gotta grow up and move on right. So quickly. Although it hurts." I typing to him that I went to far with what I said and that I was sorry but then he added something else that made me sit up and wipe my flood of tears. " I respect you for who you are. Thank you for the memories. I have to go to sleep now. Goodbye." In a rush, I deleted my message I was already typing and sent out multiple texts in a flurry.

I'm so depressing. I just want his love. I just want him I want to go back to school and see him face to face and look at him and breath him in. I just want him back. Just take me back. I would lay on the floor and paint myself its tile to be in contact with you again. I want your anger and your sadness and your happiness.

I deleted them after a few minutes of no response because my cheeks were hot and my tears couldn't cool them down. Its like I was skinned. Of everything.

He responded afterwards. That yes we could. I don't remember if I was excited that he wanted to or dead at the fact that he probably did this out of pity. I guess it was more of a catch up. Everything is painful. Everything I planned to do this month has been taken over by my melancholy. I don't want to do anything and I just want to lay like a starfish and listen to Jeff Buckley. Writing this took everything in me.

I seriously love that p03 is just a piece of shit and there’s really nothing more to it. It’s pissed off to no end but it’s never irrational. Stuck in a broken haunted game? Good reason to be angry. Work output is staggering? Wellll it’s not the worker’s fault but good reason to be angry. Stuck in a little paper card in an uncomfortable body that is not yours and now you have to trust some stupid stranger with your life even though you are technically immortal, because death is still painful? Very good reason to be angry.

I do think there’s a lot of very interesting themes going on with this character that further support this anger and suggest maybe it’s just frustration with its own existence that infects all else in its life. Which I understand a lot actually. I’ve said this before but there’s a frequent theme of it losing control of its body- willingly and unwillingly. Our first encounter with it is when it’s the Stoat Card, which it was forced into. It no longer has any autonomy nor does it resemble its body anymore. While the other scrybes are in this situation and dislike it as well, they have very different attitudes towards it. Then there’s the Uberbots and Botopia NPCs, which are willing examples. p03 can function as a medium for these personalities and it does so without argument even if it doesn’t like them. It can control them but only if it doesn’t like what it’s hearing. But it still loses autonomy in those moments where someone else is talking. There’s also the Mycologist secret boss, which is REALLY interesting to me. They give you a botopia asset (a key) in act 2 that p03 doesn’t even know existed, to unlock a boss it didn’t know existed. To give them the ability to take over its body without its knowledge, and just use it for their stupid experiments. This causes some obvious discomfort for p03, which it expresses in dialogue that I. Do not have right now.. and then there’s it’s death which I don’t really need to explain? Its body does not have the ability to fight back against . Its own head being ripped off. And that is taken advantage of.

And this goes for all living things but it was also created unwillingly. And g0lly’s existence implies maybe it has parts of itself it cannot change no matter how much it dislikes them, it can only hide them. The other scrybes express dislike of their situation as well, but it’s more pointed at one another or towards more pressing matters like the classified information on the disk. p03’s worries are almost entirely directed at itself. It constantly tells you not to kill it in act 1, practically begging. It insults your plays but again that’s probably because it fears for its life on that board no matter where it is. Its willing to ignore a potential breach in its plans because it cares more about the end result than the mere existence of the other scrybes. It shuts down what it doesn’t like and denies others their voices despite the same thing happening to it in the past. And whatever other examples are out there.

I’m not saying there’s any implications here but it is intriguing. p03 is written in such a fascinating way and at first just seems like an irrational and rude jerk, but after a while I do get it. I would be upset too. There’s nothing fair about the world it was created into. There’s nothing comfortable about it. There’s nothing to like. It was created with a purpose it cannot fulfill because the game was never meant to have players. The existence of this character is suffocating. And I cannot honestly say I don’t understand it. I’m a transgender or whatever so you can probably draw some of the lines.

also the idea that maybe it was created to be angry at its creation is neat as well. And also really sad but entirely possible. Imagine being born into reality and the only thing you feel is visceral discomfort.

i don’t really know how to describe most things but whatever character archetype p03 fits into I need to see more of it . Characters who are pricks maybe? Idk.
