Stark men are real ones fr they do not judge women with body hair bc its natural they all have it too IN FACT they shun the south for making their women shave like tf! Only Stark men shave their faces before welcoming other nobles into Winterfell but thats it!
YUP !!!!! if you were raised with those southern principals… ohhh boy. they’d have this look on their face — brows furrowed, confusion filled eyes riddled with thinly veiled judgement (never towards you, gods no) — while explaining that while you shaving may have been a requirement down south, that is absolutely not the case here (you have a hell of a time figuring out that the shaving culture here is completely reversed)
but they’d never make you feel stupid for it, like you should’ve innately known how absurd something was; careful to keep that thinly veiled judgment as it was, thinly veiled. only when they indulge in far too much drink do their tongues loosen with their true thoughts about the whole ordeal
#dippys asks#they think body hair is so attractive and i’ll die on that hill#i’ll die naked on it and make sure not to shave#also the part about them not shaving unless to receive nobles !!!!#i see a lot of people shit on cregan for being clean shaven#but like guys#they all had to shave to receive robert#now true that robert was the king and jace wasn’t yet#but i mean come on#he’s the future king#*was#LMAO#SORRH#game of thrones#house of the dragon#cregan stark#jon snow#robb stark#cregan stark x reader#robb stark x reader#jon snow x reader#the three musketeers !

Am I the only one who thinks it's fucked up that the Mortalitasi are parading about King Markus's corpse...as opposed to letting the next in line rule??
He's alive in DAI - old, but very much flesh and blood - and we know this because the venatori use blood magic on him to get him under their control. So, what is he in DATV then? Are they implying that he's a lich? That he still has his mind? That they've got a spirit in there?
What do they gain from this? Cassandra's, what, 64th in line for the throne? So there's a bunch of potential heirs just hanging about -> potential heirs who want the crown because we know that Cassandra's parents were executed for trying to overthrow him.
Cassandra may not be fond of her family, but I can't imagine her letting this slide. This is the type of shit that gets an Exalted March called down on you! Especially if she's divine?! Nevarran's can be 'death-focused'* yes, but they let the living rule and not the dead.
It's their belief that when their soul passes through the Fade it results in a spirit being displaced - so they have the Mortalitasi find the spirit a new home in the Necropolis. That is their job - they maintain the Necropolis and, according to DATV, sometimes deal with awry magic.
The potential relation to a Divine or the Head of the Seekers, the King of Nevarra, is having his corpse puppeted about by a mage...and no one seems to care?!
Is this not super fucked up to anyone else?!!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit - I put this down in the tags but I think it's important to point out: In all the previous games up to this point not once has a mage, manipulating a corpse like this, ever been portrayed as quirky or funny. This is not the norm of what the Mortalitasi are supposed to do - they honour the dead they do not puppet them.
Thedas is a world very strongly intertwined with faith, especially the Chantry. It is Nevarra's attitudes towards death and their burial practices that distinguishes it from other Andrastian nations - they still have the Chantry, the Templars, and the Circle of Magi just as the rest of Southern Thedas has.
It's impossible to imagine any Divine (Leliana, Cassandra, or Vivienne) hearing of this occurring and not taking action against this. It's extremely strange that Emmrich bemoans that half the nobility know this has occurred when this action should be seen as nothing short of an abomination to the faithful - including Emmrich.
#*death-focused in that some nobles spend most of their worldly fortunes on tombs for their corpses after death.#is it supposed to be: 'quirky Nevarra with their undead - even their King is undead'?#yeah it could be a 'throwaway line' for a gag from Emmrich#“oh poor Markus is falling apart we need to give him a kick to restart”#i dunno Emmrich - it's giving me Leandra vibes and i don't like it!#in every single other game in the series when a mage uses a corpse for their own gain like this its never been portrayed as quirky or funny#they're puppeting his corpse about? the king of a country?!#is he in there still?!!#Cassandra wouldn't allow this!#the game has no politics in it but when it does its pfft gone in the wind with no explanation#and its completely nonsensical#if there's a reason for this in-game then its just not explained at all - i shouldn't have to read supplemental material#in order to understand what happening in game#or maybe let me ask questions??#Cassandra / Leliana / or Vivienne would not let this slide at all for however long its been going on#btw i'm mentioning them taking action because it's implied that this has been going on for a while now#this could have been a cool plot point? uncovering the truth for the divine and finding someone behind the throne?#instead we get - 'big skeleton goes brrrr'#datv spoilers#datv critical#dragon age the veilguard#emmrich volkarin#cassandra pentaghast#veilguard critical

Sasha using the title "Lord" in RiAAU after taking over Toad Tower and presumably killing Grime and stealing Barrel's Warhammer from him, and other political and military leaders assuming she's a man because, well, Sasha is a gender neutral name, so they hear Lord Sasha and assume they're talking about an adult male toad warrior. The second most powerful person in the known world and only real threat to the Leviathan reign!
Cue princess Marcy fleeing Newtopia and her father seeking refuge with his worst enemy hoping to offer information and political levarage in exchange for protection, perhaps even offering herself in marriage to transfer eventual inheritances and whatnot, and she finds out that Lord Sasha is not, indeed, a dark and domineering toad warlord, but a beautiful, terrifying girl her age that looks like her and oh god her poor little lesbian heart can barely take it.

Daeran marrying a tiefling and giving them his noble last name is the funniest prank I think he could ever inadvertently pull on the other Mendevian nobles actually.
#Blighted posts#Pathfinder#Wrath of the Righteous#Daeran#Imagine the absolute outrage#Every paper/news publication would be in uproar#There would be nobles that would stay awake at night fearing any of their potential offspring would be a tiefling and claim the throne#At least one of them would die of shock#And I think that's beautiful#OC: Zephyrus

Loki didn't even do anything to the other Asgardians personally, unsure why they didn't like him so much and thought he was so suspicious
#i was thinking about what crimes loki did do and like. lying to thor/hurting his feelings was IT??#like he didnt spit in hogun's face or kill sif's mother#so why do they have personal grudges#is it because loki argued when they said to makw odin take thor's punishment back? unlikely#they didnt like loki before that either!!!!#and we're never told why!!!!!#if it was justified by their noble characters then it would have come up#fandral wouldve been like no we cant suspect loki and someone else wouldve said but remember when he killed a guy!!#or 'but he has done such before...' etc.#but no!!#apparently it just IS#he hasnt done anything personal towards them which is actually a wild decision to make#loki with a squeaky clean record gets the throne bc thor was banished and they jump him#:/ ?????????#did he at least poison fandral once or something#that's so mean#thor is the only one who can hold a grudge because of the lying thing#everyone else was going off hearsay and as the prophecy foretold. APPARENTLY!!!#once again asking if they simply do not know how the line of inheritance works#even loki understood that much and he was of the opinion that the family was pulling shenanigans with him

I know that we're still being introduced to nobles but out of the current nobles, Which kingdom do you think has the strongest ones? I was thinking Avisos because I'm biased and they literally have a massive three headed dog, but Like.....Hades has a man that turns invisible and whatever the fuck Glasylasbolas is. Gehenna also has the best snipers.
Hmmm, well originally I was thinking that Hades would have the strongest nobles because look at who they have to deal with on a daily basis, but it's the same as the Gehenna nobles who get kicked around by Satan frequently and they definitely have to survive that many kicks to be strong.
I also think in terms of teamwork and who works together to get things done too. Our Avisos boys may have Nabe, huge three headed doggo, but uh they are dysfunctional 😭 I would say they fare better as a support team.
For Hades, this trio may have their qualms with one another but they seem to hunker down and function enough to where to they can easily clear some angels if need be. Tartaros I would think they're strong....seeing as how Mammon leaves them quite often alone (Eligos especially) which shows that they must be able to handle most of the enemies on their own. Nifelheim is the most tricky to pinpoint on strength, during their event they weren't really doin' so hot against Agares and Vassago so they might be on the lower tier of strength.
The Abaddon bois? I have yet to see them fight, but if Asmodeus is clearly overpowered based on everyone trying to avoid him in the first place, then it must be the same for his nobles. Because remember, Dantalian can get himself up to Heaven without help just to mess with them and I find that fascinating.
The Paradise Lost bois are healers, but also in the main story we see Marbas was ready to eliminate MC if they posed as a threat, and then Buer...we will see how he fights when the next chapter is out. SO pending thoughts on them.
After ALLL of this observation, ya know TLDR....I'm going to have to go for Hades, because while Gehenna has quantity and great marksmen, we have three nobles for Hades that pack just as much power, Glas turning floors into lava like??? And he has that hole in his chest and he's moving around freely. In Order: (Strongest to Weakest) 1. Hades 2. Gehenna 3. Tartaros 4. Avisos 5. Paradise Lost 6. Abaddon 7. Nifelheim

“I wanted him to stay here with me,” Lady Stark said softly. Jon watched her, wary. She was not even looking at him. She was talking to him, but for a part of her, it was as though he were not even in the room. “I prayed for it,” she said dully. “He was my special boy. I went to the sept and prayed seven times to the seven faces of god that Ned would change his mind and leave him here with me. Sometimes prayers are answered.” Jon did not know what to say. “It wasn’t your fault,” he managed after an awkward silence. Her eyes found him. They were full of poison. “I need none of your absolution, bastard.” Jon lowered his eyes. She was cradling one of Bran’s hands. He took the other, squeezed it. Fingers like the bones of birds. “Good-bye,” he said. He was at the door when she called out to him. “Jon,” she said. He should have kept going, but she had never called him by his name before. He turned to find her looking at his face, as if she were seeing it for the first time. “Yes?” he said. “It should have been you,” she told him. Then she turned back to Bran and began to weep, her whole body shaking with the sobs. Jon had never seen her cry before.
A Game of Thrones- Chapter 10 (George R. R. Martin)
Yeah, I don't care Catelyn is distressed, the hatred's already been there. There's no excuse to say shit like this to a child (and she still sees Robb as a child, so Jon should be one in her eyes too). And using his name for the first time?! Don't tell me that wasn't intentional.
This might be the last time Jon'll ever see her son he obviously cares about, so she takes out her helplessness on him.
If Jon's such a thorn in her side, why doesn't she hate Ned?! Oh, yeah, because he's her beloved Lord husband, so she can't resent him for his manly urges, only his stubborn care for the result. And not enough to wish him crippled.
Catelyn's hurting and feeling guilty, so she hurts the person, who won't fight back or seek support. Low hanging fruit, kicking puppies and such.
And Jon isn't merely kind, he lies for her sake, and feels for her. He's a better person, than I.
Robb knew something was wrong. “My mother …” “She was … very kind,” Jon told him. Robb looked relieved. “Good.”
