Celebrating Halloween and Dia de los Muertos with Noam Fall Garden
Noam Fall Garden by Emile B. LaCerte Jr. is a delightful children’s book that brings together the magic of Halloween and the vibrant traditions of Dia de los Muertos. Set in the enchanting world of Moriah Hallow, the story follows Noam, the Easter Bunny, and his forest friends as they prepare for a spectacular Halloween festival.
The book beautifully illustrates how the Bunnies, lost pets and forest friends celebrate Halloween by harvesting the mystical Pascha pumpkins. These pumpkins are not just ordinary pumpkins; they symbolize hope, love, and the spirit of giving. To give a Noam’s Pascha pumpkin is to show God’s love, making it a heartwarming tradition that resonates with the themes of both Halloween and Dia de los Muertos
LaCerte’s storytelling is enriched by his family’s involvement, adding a personal touch to the adventures of Noam and his friends. The author's writing style is that of Beatrix Potter, making it an enchanting book series. The narrative emphasizes the importance of imagination, hope, and love, echoing Walt Disney’s sentiment that "with imagination, hope and love become reality"
Noam Fall Garden is more than just a Halloween story; it’s a celebration of cultural traditions, community, and the joy of giving. Whether you’re looking for a festive read for Halloween or a meaningful story to share during Dia de los Muertos, this book is a perfect choice. So, as you prepare for the fall festivities, make sure to add Noam Fall Garden to your reading list. Hope you get one, hope you find one!
