The No Fun in Fungus Group from cabin 1 made you a friendship ring from the craft table! Ignore the glow, I’m sure it’s fine.
@tmnt-fandom-family-reunion
Hey did someone order turtles with a side of trauma, A large lore dump, and some more trauma to wash it all down?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cabin five, sector three
@tmnt-fandom-family-reunion
Aaaaaannnnddd I also wrote a lil thing :]
Leoclese grinned at his and his brother’s counterparts, and happily took the ring from them. The mushroom on it flashed in the light, catching his eye.
“Thank you!” he said, beating the others to it. “I take it you’re a fun-gi?” he earned a chuckle from the other Leo, while everyone else groaned at the pun. He just smiled cheekily at them.
“It looks really cool!” Michelantius said as Donotos moved closer to study it in more detail. “How did you guys get it to glow like that?”
The No Fun In Fungus turtles just shrugged.
“We’re not exactly sure,” the other Donnie admitted. They all decided to just accept it. Something felt… off about the other turtles, but Leo just pushed that to the back of his miind.
“Well, we’d best be off now” Leo’s counterpart said. They all waved, calling parting words after them.
“Everyone’s so nice here,” Michelantius said happily, staring after them.
“I’ll say,” Raphodius agreed, and the other two nodded.
Leo scrutinized the ring. It glowed an electric blue, a miniscule mushroom presented as the centerpiece. It really was a cool ring.
Shrugging, he slipped it onto his finger, admiring the way it flashed in the light of the caves crystals.
“Hey, share!-” Mikey started to speak, when without warning, small tendrils shot out of the ring and wrapped themselves around Leo’s finger.
“AH- OW!” Leoclese cried out as the tendrils embedded themselves into his skin and spread to his wrists and hands. They lashed out, spider webs quickly interlacing and spreading by the second.
Dimly, he heard the others calling his name, but it soon left his mind as the world was tinged blue. It creeped across his vision, the same shade the ring had glowed, and he squeezed his eyes shut, trying to blink it away. A flash flared behind his eyelids, then everything went dark again.
When he opened his eyes once more, adjusting to the light, he was no longer in the camp.
He was back in the hidden city, a sword suddenly gripped in his hand and debris scattered around him.
Glancing around, he noticed a giant snake’s head, lying beside him, and leapt back in alarm. When it didn’t move, he hesitantly moved closer and realized it was dead. Of course, the hydra! He’d just defeated it, hadn’t he! Yeah, that’s right! Glancing up, he realized he had an audience, sitting in stone bleachers that were there for some reason. The spectators stared down at him silently, and his smile wavered as the silence stretched on. Shouldn’t they be celebrating by now?
“Hydra got your tounge?” his voice trembled under their gaze, and he hoped the crowd hadn’t noticed. He waved up at them, but none of them reacted in the slightest. The smile now gone from his face. His confidence starting to flicker, he walked away from the crowd and the dead hydra. A doorway made of stone was behind him, and when he made his way through it, he found himself in the bustling streets of the Hidden City. The yokai flowed around him, surrounding him. Until suddenly they didn’t flow around them. They completely ignored him, bumping into him and ignoring his protests.
“Ah– hey– stop! Hey, I’m right here!–” he kept getting cut off by a new body crashing into him, he being the only one who seemed to notice or feel it. Eventually he lost his footing, and he was suddenly beneath the flow of the unrelenting current, resorting to covering his face to protect it from getting stepped on.
He felt his eyes widen as he realized he could see through his arms.
Finally managing to make his way to his feet again, he looked down only to discover that he was translucent.
He stumbled backward, looking around desperately. Still, no one even acknowledged his existence.
His eyes located a flash of red, purple, and orange– his brothers! He ran through the mass, pushing through the crowd until he reached them.
They only stared blankly through him, and he was pushed aside as they nearly knocked him over.
“... guys?” his voice was pitifully weak, but he didn’t care about that at the moment. He caught a snippet of their conversation.
“– it was such a good idea to come here just the three of us!” Mikey bounced exuberantly as he walked.
“Yeah, it’s nice to have all three of us together,” Donnie affirmed, and each word was a punch to the gut.
They didn’t even know Leo was gone. They didn’t even remember he existed!
“PLEASE! I CAN’T DO THIS AGAIN!” he called after them, into the air, wishing someone, anyone would hear it. “ I CAN’T LIVE BEING COMPLETELY IGNORED AGAIN!” his voice broke.
He fell to his knees, unable to see the point of standing anymore. He suddenly found himself in a small circle as the civilians stared blankly ahead, weaving around the invisible bubble that must have been there.
Normally, he would’ve made a joke, diffusing the tension, if not for the others then himself. But all other thoughts had left his mind, and no one would hear it anyway.
“Wait…” he said weakly, not expecting a response as he stretched a hand out at his brother’s receding backs.
His facade finally crumbled, and he gave up trying to hold back the tears that came.
He’d sworn he’d never be invisible ever again, and yet here he found himself. Pitiful and unseen, once again.
Had he even been there in the first place? Had anyone even known him before? Did he even exist?
For a moment, Raphodius stared in shocked silence as Leo screamed, glowing tendrils snaking around his arm, before snapping into action.
“LEO!”
Without a thought, he leapt forward, trying to drag the ring off of Leo’s finger. The only thing he succeed in was tearing a few tendrils off and leaving gashes in his brother’s skin, where it’d been ripped off. Horrified, he released the tendrils, which waved around threateningly, then were quickly replaced by more. His brothers joined them, but were uncertain in how to help.
Grimacing and muttering a small apoology to Leo, he grabbed the snaking tendrils and tried to snap them, resorting to tearing at them with his teeth, but they wouldn’t yield. Before he knew what was happening, they latched onto his face, creeping up around his eyes.
His scream matched Leo’s, before his mouth was covered by the rubbery tentacles. He stumbled backward, but only succeded in being dragged back to Leo, forced onto his knees.
Vaguley, he saw Mikey and Donotos coming closer, and tried to warn them away before his vision was completely eveloped in an electric blue haze.
When his vision finally cleared, the camp was gone. In it’s place, he was kneeling in a long stone tunnel. Figures obscured by the darkness lay scattered around him.
Warily, he made his way to the closest one, against the wall. Moving closer for a better look, he instantly regretted that decision. It was the body of a fox yokai, their fur matted with blood and a blank expression frozen on their lifeless face. His insides roiled as he recognized them as someone he’d killed in the arena.
Eyes burning, he lowered his head.
“I’m sorry.”
He moved on, walking among countless corpses through the never-ending tunnel, wanting to curl into a ball yet unable stop moving.
He knew it was he who had their blood on his hands. There was no other explanation. He had done this.
Guilt edged inside of him, as he saw more and more familiar faces. It kept growing, a weed inside of him and choking out all of the progress he’d made after escaping the arena.
People he’d fought in the gladiator nexus, people that had been in the crowd. Faces of acquaintances gave way to loved ones, people he’d been close to. The old woman who used to work as a medic, gently wrapping his injuries and embracing him as child. The young gecko boy who had always cheered him on in the crowd. The tiger yokai who’d made sure he received food every day, despite her all but forgetting about him sometimes.
Each lifeless face made him tremble more, and kept hitting harder and harder each time.
He skidded to a stop. The tears he’d barely managed to hold back broke free, coursing down his face.
“...Leo?”
Donotos accessed the situation. That was what he was good at! He was good at accessing things! He could take care of this, it was fine, it’d be fine, he was fine, they were fine, it’d all be-
Tamping down the momentary panic, he gently pulled himself and Mikey away from their two… incapacitated… brothers.
Their brothers sat there, side by side, suddenly still and eerily silent. The strange blue threads waved around them, growing longer by the second.
What had even happened?! One second, they’d all been fine, the next, Leo was screaming and Raph jumped in and then suddenly they were both roped together, limbs slowly disappearing in the sickly ropes that seemed to be causing it.
“...What do we do?”
He didn’t glance at Mikey, instead staring resolutely forward, keeping a lookout for any stray tendrils, while speaking.
“I don’t know. I couldn’t even see what happened!” he tried to keep the panic out of his voice, for Micheal’s sake. “But whatever it is, it has something to do with that ring. By Socrates, how were we stupid enough to trust everyone so easily!?” he cursed the sense of ease that had pervaded their shenanigans until now. Of course not everyone meant well! In hindsight, that other Leo had been very suspicious.
He felt a tap on his shoulder.
“What?” he finally turned to look at Mikey, and his face said it all.
Mikey wasn’t the one who’d tapped him.
“AH!”
His foot was suddenly yanked out from under him, and he heard the telltale thud of Mikey having the same done to him. A thread must have snaked around them and grabbed their ankles when they hadn’t been looking!
He twisted, struggling to rip it off of him, but his hands were yanked back by yet another tendril, binding them together.
“Mikey…” he tried to call out, but the hazy blue that had been tinging his vision suddenly collapsed in on itself, and everything was replaced with an azure fog.
When it finally cleared away, he stood in a forest. The trunks rose up around him, trunks and branches twisting around and among each other, creating a dappled canopy up top. It was achingly familiar.
Dreading what he would find, something primal in his chest telling him what he would see. Despite that, he could not stop, instead breaking into a run, as if something were chasing him. The trunks and undergrowth of the forest whipped by, blurring together as he spurred himself on faster, and faster still.
Eventually, he came to a stop.
Just as he’d feared, a broken tree lay across the path.
Limbs stuck out from underneath it, and suddenly he was six years old again, a broken leg throbbing, and [redacted due to spoilers] lying motionless before him.
“....[name redacted]?”
No no no no no no no no not again. Not again.
“Not again” he whispered hoarsely. His mask was damp, the fabric sticking to his face, but he ignored that. Nothing else existed except the broken form, that he did not have the strength to pull out from under the giant trunk. It wavered, growing fuzzy around the edges. He desperately and desolately tried to make out the feature, but they were suddenly gone from his memory. He couldn’t even remember [redacted]’s face? After everything he’d done for Donotos?
An empty feeling spread through him, one he’d promised himself he would never let exist again, and he gladly welcomed it. It was better than the alternative.
He jumped as a rustle came from the branches behind him. Whipping around, all else was forgotten as a horrible, eight-legged creature rose from the bushes, more following after it.
No one heard his high pitched shriek as he scrambled away from the horde of spiders, and for that he was grateful. Not that it mattered.
He stood rooted to the ground as they pursued him,  spindly limbs undulating and overlapping each other, crawling over each other to get to him.
He couldn’t do anything, paralyzed as they reached his leg and began crawling up, a horrid, frenzied mass that covered him completely almost instantly.
They reached his face and he shuddered as he felt the tiny legs caressing his skin.
He could do nothing but kneel there, the blood-red arachnids obscuring his vision, and enveloped by his own failure.
Michelantius’ head throbbed, probably from hitting the ground, as the hazy blue cleared from his vision. What had even happened? What did the ring even do?
He had a feeling that he was soon to find out.
Glancing up, he took in the scene around him.
He stood on a vast expanse of fluffy, white clouds, pale blue sky extending around him. In the distance, a gate barred entrance to a familiar, swooping palace.
“Olympus?” he thought out loud. What was he doing back there? Wait, had he ever left in the first place-? He wasn’t sure.
“Long time no see” he swivled around at the voice, not unlike his own, as a familiar dread immediately started fill him, weighing him down.
“Tell me, cousin, where have you been? It’s been far too long.”
Mikey gritted his teeth, restraining the urge to hurl himself out of the sky to get away.
“Wouldn’t you like to know, weather boy?” he smiled at his own reference. Hanging out with the fates had always paid off.
Aeolus tutted, shaking his head mockingly with a malevolent smile plastered across his face.
“Now now, that’s no way to treat your own family,” he said.
“You’re no family of mine,” Mikey growled, looking away.
“Such a shame, considering that you have no choice but to be with me.” The fake smile was gone, Aeolus’s face now twisted into something ugly.
Before Mikey could come back with a witty reply, Aeolus snapped his fingers.
Wind, somehow visible and bright red, swirled around him. Resisting the urge to scramble away, he stood there, flinching as the freezing air currents tightened around him, squeezing him until he could feel the blood flowing in his veins. Of course they’d be tangible. Why wouldn’t they?
“Do what you want to me,” he said, looking up defiantly. “It doesn’t matter.” As long as you don’t hurt anyone else, he finished silently.
“Well, if we both agree that we don’t care what happens to you, I’d rather not have to listen to your voice anymore,” the wind god sneered as the winds gagged him, successfully cutting off his ability to speak. That was fine. He didn’t need his voice anyway.
The wind (ropes?) sliced uncomfortably into his skin, and he knew there’d be bruises later.
He just stared, trying his absolute best not to show any weakness.
A cold glint flashed in his… cousin’s… eyes, and he flicked his wrist.
Mikey was forced to stand up straight, spine twisting as he was forced to stand uncomfortably stiffly.
“Oh yes,” he chuckled darkly. “I think we’ll have lot’s of fun together.” Mikey’s eyes widened, as he realized what was happening.
Not again, he thought miserably, as he lost his free will once again.
There was no escape. Running to the mortals would not work twice.
He should have known his freedom wouldn’t last forever.
Heheheheheheheheheheh :))))))))
Thank you so much for sending me this ask!!!!! I've always wanted to spore my own turtles :>

Since you were nice enough to make such a cool bracelet for him, No Fun in Fungus Leo made you a ring in return!
Ignore the glowing.
@tmnt-fandom-family-reunion
(No Fun in Fungus Leo is "other-Leo", and Krang Leo by @allmightyscroll-swag is Leon)
Link to masterpost
“Wow, th-th-thanks!” Mikey slipped it on his finger. The ring was a little tight, but he wasn't about to complain. Other-Leo didn't reply, just… stood, like he was waiting for something.
His glowing eyes were kinda freaking Mikey out, but hey, his new camp bestie was partly made of pink snot, so who was he to judge?
“How d-d-does it glow? Are th-th-there lights in it?” Mikey ran his fingers over the material. It didn't feel like resin or plastic, more soft and springy. Some sort of organic material? Maybe it was recyclable!
Mikey looked up to thank the other Leo again, but.. he was gone. Hm, must be shy. That was okay. Mikey jumped from foot to foot, grinning. People were giving him gifts! It was almost overwhelming, the amount of objects he could line up on his window sill, or maybe that was the headache starting to creep around the sides of his skull. The lack of sleep must finally be catching up on him. Maybe he should get a nap in later today.
“What are you doing?” Came a familiar voice. Mikey turned with a grin. His camp bestie! But.. he looked kind of.. well.
His expression. Not the usual fond smile or playful teases, no, his sharp eyes were combing Mikey up and down, the downward flick of his brow.
“Oh… uh.. no-thing.” He tucked his hands behind his back. All the moving must get annoying.
“Right.” Leon rolled his eyes. It stung it stung it stung, “Just letting you know the tie dye stand is getting low, people are starting to get annoyed.” Was Leon's voice getting louder, or was the headache just getting worse?
“You wouldn't want them to leave,” His voice. Huh. Mikey shook his head, “Right, Michelangelo?”
Right? Right
Rig
Mik
Mikey?
Mike?
“Hey, Mike!” Mikey startled. He looked up. What? Oh right, Leon. Looking at him quizzically.
“What?” He asked. Leon looked concerned, a complete 180 from before,
“You okay? Is something wrong?” Mikey shook his head,
“No, it's j-just…” It was just. It was.. what was wrong?
“What's wrong with you??” Whiplash. Sharp. Dizzy. His head ached in heartbeats.
“Noth-thing. J-just…” He shook his head again, “I'm t-t-” He swallowed, “G-going t-t-to the c-c-cabin.” Leon shrugged,
“If you say so.” He turned to leave, to leave, he was leaving, but over his shoulder,
“I like your ring, by the way.”
Hm. Well then, Mikey wasn't going to be taking it off any time soon. He sighed, rubbing his face. No time for a nap.
He needed to get to work.

Would Frida like a totally not suspicious ring made at a craft table by No Fun in Fungus Leo from cabin 1?
@tmnt-fandom-family-reunion
Frida wasn’t interested in collecting anymore stuff. After all, these little arts and crafts were quite menial and petty. But this ring had a very mystic feel to it.
She inspected the glowing item, looking for any mystic runes. All she found was the small mushroom symbol and the pulsing blue glow.
Then she couldn’t move. She was overwhelmed with a sudden panic and the whole camp faded away with a ring. Then she saw her.
Tumblr media
“Improper, worthless, useless, ridiculous, weak, useless, obnoxious, immature, USELESS-“
Frida was ripped from her thoughts as the ring fell from her hands. She tried to gain her composure but was failing miserably. What was that mystic object? Why did it show… Mama?
She needed to get out of there.
This one was really fun to do ^^ thanks for the ask

Get respored!!!!
[Prev]
[Hop is called Leo here bc it is from his POV!!]
Leo couldn’t move. He was frozen with what he was seeing.
Null was standing in front of Twin-Sync Leo’s corpse, his blade colored red with blood. Something he had seen through Null’s eyes in their memory link was right in front of him. Null slowly turned to him, his expression the same as the day he attacked him. The same as the moment he almost killed him.
Leo wanted to scream. To run and push Null away from Twin-Sync Leo’s body, to tell him to stop because that is not Null. Null has grown to be better, he realized his mistakes and became a better person and he was trying so hard to hold on and–
And–
This wasn’t his brother.
It couldn’t be his brother.
This must be a nightmare.
His eyes focused on the mask Null held– tattered with time, now covered with blood stains.
Not real, not real, not real.
“Hop?”
And yet, Null called his name. Calm. Collected. A contrast to his cold stare. The same way he had found Leo alone, sulking and letting himself freeze.
Leo couldn’t breathe. He was shaking and yet couldn’t take his eyes away from Null. Even when he approached him, blood dripping from his mystic katana.
“Hop, what’s wrong?” He asked, as if everything was okay. As if everything was fine– except Leo himself.
Leo only could shake his head, his eyes briefly landing on the body of his friend laying on the ground lifelessly.
Finally, he managed to speak, “Y-you aren’t real. C-can’t–” He felt his throat knot, and words die before he could finish his sentence.
“Hop?” Null’s deadly eyes didn’t show any emotions. “Are you okay?”
“Stay a-away from me–!” Leo tried to sound serious, but it came out like a frantic beg. Probably because of the panic that didn’t stop. The fear that slipped through his eyes, blurring them, showed itself though his shaking hands.
Null was now right in front of him. Leo knew he should run, or at least fight. But he was frozen on the spot, and he couldn’t look away. He felt like he was stuck, just like every other Leo that was stuck in the Prison Dimension. Except his enemy wasn’t Krang, it was his very own brother.
The deja vu of Raph holding him, ready to kill him, under Krang’s influence. The moment Leo was bleeding because of the wound on his side, Null holding him the same way, ready to kill him. The memories haunted him.
He tried to gasp, and yet, it was much harder. It was too much. The fear’s grip was worse than how it was before. He didn’t have anyone to his tears away from, he was alone. Why should he even fight, if he never had managed to save him. Was it all nothing? Was none of this a reality? Why couldn’t he find the breath to speak, tell he was sorry. A final truth before he dies?
He kept hearing his name.
“Hop?! You’re worrying me–”
Hop. That was his name. After all, Leo wasn’t he. Leo was the kid that lay on the ground dead.
Hop was stuck, frozen.
He was in the Prison Dimension. He was in the Technodrome. He was bleeding on the roof of a building. He was trying to breathe against the grip. He saw the blood and the metal and the last breath of his ancestor. He was alone.
“Kid?!”
He was nothing, letting death himself hold him ever so gently, readying himself against the cold blade sharp as a wolf’s fangs.
“Hey! Hey! Monkey, look at me!!”
Monkey?
Hop– Leo– managed to blink, push himself away. Hardly, with gasps, he looked sharply at Null, “Don’t– Don’t ca-call me that– you can’t— you aren’t him you— no—”
Null silently watched him.
He wouldn’t accept that Null did such a thing, “Stay back!” He growled, biting back a sob. “You changed! I-I know you did!”
He saw Null’s grip on the katana tighten. Leo grabbed his own katana, ready to attack. Then he noticed how strange his hand looked. And then the glitch. The same as Null’s. He gasped for breath when he saw his reflection on the sword. A copy of what Null was, covered in blood and soulless eyes looking back at him.
The same reflection he saw in Null’s memories.
Leo dropped his katana. He couldn’t– no– he—
Everything was too much.
“Monkey, please,” He heard Null speak. “I don't know what you're seeing, but it is not real.”
“Liar.” Leo hissed, his hands still shaking.
In the silence he heard a sigh, “I don't blame you believing it, and I know what I'm asking you is impossible, but I need you to trust me.”
“Trust you?” Leo asked, his voice breaking. He kept looking at the blood in his hands, to the reflection. “I won’t kill like you.”
“We aren’t killing anyone.” Null promised.
“Says the guy with blood on his hands.” Leo retorted. Funny, considering he also had blood on his hands. His friend’s blood.
“I can prove there is no blood in my hands.” Null calmly said.
“How so?” Leo asked, trying to ignore the small desperate hope he felt.
“You said it is on my hands. If so, you should feel it if you touch them.” Null explained.
“You want me to approach you.” Leo replied, cautious. “How do I know you aren’t tricking me?”
Null looked at him, silent. Then he answered: “You don’t.”
But Leo had promised Null he would trust him, didn’t he? He had promised he would be by his side no matter what. Against the fear, his promise, the small light of hope was there. Leo watched him, Null didn’t move. He was just waiting for what Leo would do.
Trust me. That was what Null asked him to do. Could it be..?
He trusted Null. He trusted him with his life many times before, didn’t he? But the corpse of Twin-Sync Leo was still on the ground, and the blood was on their hands.
But he didn’t want it to be real, and a small part of him let the hope beam.
He took a deep breath.
“Okay.”
He walked towards Null, still cautious. He ignored his katana on the ground. He ignored the cold look in his eyes. He stopped for a moment, the fear of what he will feel holding him still for a second. But he reached and touched Null’s hand.
He didn’t feel the blood.
No blood.
He turned to see again and again, seeing the dried sickly red. He gasped, a sob escaping as he shut his eyes and holding his hand tightly. He couldn’t talk, not say a word, just felt the mixture of panic and relief.
He felt Null gently pull him as he walked. Leo followed him obediently, doing his best to push away his fears. “None real?” Leo gasped as he briefly opened his eyes to sit down next to Null.
“None.” Null responded, his tone a contrast to what he was seeing.
“Twin-Sync Leo?” He asked as he held onto Null’s cloak, leaning towards him as he felt like his world was spinning.
“He is fine. Not here.” Null answered.
As if on cue, Leo heard Twin-Sync Leo’s voice:
“Hey guys I– wait. What’s going on?”
Another wave of relief hit Leo and he wasn’t able to hide his tears. He barely heard Null explain what had happened. Then he felt a hand holding his.
“Hey, it’s okay. We are here.” He heard Twin-Sync Leo say. “We got you, pal.”
Leo took a breath, feeling himself calm down a bit. The fear was still here, and he was so tired. He wasn’t sure how long passed since he had lost himself in all of the emotions he felt, and in the nothingness he found himself in eventually. He only focused on Null and Twin-Sync Leo’s presence. It helped that they were here, both grounding him by merely existing. It helped that Twin-Sync Leo kept stroking his hand too. There was a moment they called to him softly, and Leo didn’t find it in himself to answer, but squeezed the hand and held onto the cloak tighter briefly to let them know he was still here… somewhat. He just needed a moment. And he knew they would know. They always did.
Eventually he felt like he was more like himself, he blinked a few times. “Null? Leo?” He looked at them.
“We are here.” Twin-Sync Leo squeezed his hand. “Are you okay?”
Leo hummed, tiredly. “Had been better.”
“Do you still..?” Null began but didn’t finish his sentence.
“No.” Leo answered. He noticed the sighs of relief coming from both of them. He laughed, a bit too forced, “You guys gonna get Raph chasms if you keep worrying like that.”
“Oh shut up.” Twin-Sync Leo pushed Leo gently with his free hand. “At least you are truly doing better.”
“Yeah, I think I am.” Leo sighed. “Thanks.”
“Don’t mention it.” Twin-Sync Leo said.
Null was quiet. A bit too quiet. “Big guy, are you okay?” Leo peeked at him.
“I’m fine.” Null responded.
“Liar.” Leo replied. He noticed Null look at him concerned. “I-I didn’t mean it like that.” Leo quickly fixed his mistake. Too soon. “I mean, there is definitely something bothering you.”
Null looked away.
“Don’t you lie to me or look away, you know you can tell us, right?” Leo leaned a bit more on his arm, putting his head on the cloth.
Null sighed, “You can guess.”
“I probably can.” Leo hummed. And apparently he had to. What a shame, he still felt tired. “Okay then, is it the whole spore accident? Am I on the right path?”
Null nodded.
“Alright. Is it… oh.” He realized the possible reason. His fear of what he could do– of himself becoming like him. Oh no. “Null, I didn’t mean to.”
Null avoided looking at him, and Leo knew he had understood that Leo figured it out.
“No, listen. Look at me.” Leo held him and got back to his feet, holding Null and letting go of Twin-Sync Leo’s hand. “Null, what I saw– it has nothing to do with you. Hey, don’t glare away, look at me.” He held his face and turned it to him, so their eyes met. “Trust me. I am not afraid of you, and I know you. I trust you. Don’t let a hallucination fool you as it fooled me.”
“Are you aware it shows what you are most afraid of?” Null said back.
“It does, but fun fact! I am afraid of many things and losing my family and seeing them troubled is one of them! Ending up hurting them or seeing them hurt is one of them! I know you would never do that! I have seen it!” Leo told him, and every word was genuine. “I trust you. I need you to trust me.”
Null was uncertain. Leo knew that. But he needed his brother to trust him. He knew how he was hurt because of what he did in the past, and now he didn’t want him to be hurt just because of some visions Leo saw. A lie can hurt, but hope… trust… his family. They saved him. He just wanted Null to let him save him too.
“Please.” He added. “I would never believe it if it wasn’t those stupid spores, you know that, right?”
Another silence, then– “Alright.” Null sighed. He wasn’t fully convinced, but he still was trying to trust him. He was trying for them, and maybe for himself, and Leo was so grateful for that.
“Alright’s better than nothing, but believe me. I know you, you’re my brother after all.” Leo grinned. Null smiled slightly, rolled his eyes, and grabbed Leo by the tip of his shell.
“We still got a notebook to take back.” Null said, Leo on his hand held like a kitten doing nothing. Sometimes Null reminded him too much of Raph.
Twin-Sync Leo smirked, “Now you are talking. Let’s go back to action, shall we?”
“I thought you wanted a nice vacation.” Leo grinned.
“First gotta kick some mushroom butts.” He replied.
Leo snickered, “That sounds like a great plan! Mushrooms suck anyways.”
Null nodded, then he turned to see Twin-Sync Leo jumping on his shell, hanging on him like Leo often did. “Onwards, big guy!” He announced.
Leo laughed as Null shook his head and grabbed Leo in a more comfortable way, holding him and keeping an eye both on him and Twin-Sync Leo as he went after the guy that caused all this mess.
Leo smiled to himself, watching them. They definitely were his family, a part of him and not only because they were alternative versions of him. But because they loved him, and he loved them. He trusted them and would trust them no matter what…
[Featuring Null from @noxvee6 's Sub-Zero AU and Twin-Sync Leo from @little-banjo-frog 's Twin-Sync (More Than You Think) AU :3 they helped me a lot with this idea and yall should check out them now!!!]

OH NOOOOOOOOOO
I’M RAPH IN THE REVERSE SPORE LORE ARC!?
Karma has gotten me
@phoebepheebsphibs
@daboyau
you are personally and directly hit by a bus¹ and isekai-ed, via resurrection, into the body of the main character your most recent WIP
reblog and tell me: on a scale of 1–10, how screwed are you right now?
¹ this is, transparently, a plot device, so if you are about to tell me "joke's on you, I never leave my fifteenth floor apartment!" then you may rest assured it will have tremendous comedic value when the bus is launched into the sky and crashes through your apartment wall to flatten you anyway

@boots-with-the-fur-club & @phoebepheebsphibs I randomly got hit with inspiration at school 😊 I wanted to put the tears thing but I didn’t want to ruin the whole “I’m a sassy, over dramatic theater kid being possessed by a giant evil mushroom” vibe

THIS TOOK ME TOO LONG OMG AGH
Collab Masterpost
TJ and Nardo belong to @its-the-chicken-nugg
Misa belongs to @littlemissartemisia
The other Mikey and Luke belong to @boots-with-the-fur-club
And the "Raphaels" are by @justalittleobsessed and @languajix, I kinda didn't ask before I threw them in here for a little bit, sorry!
I doubt this will actually count for points but uhh @tmnt-fandom-family-reunion why not tag feel free to ignore lmao
For reading purposes: Lo is Deaf, and all signing is in italics (unless i missed something lmao). These are all English translations, and are not written in ASL grammar!
“Fuck!” Raph cursed. It was simple to read his lips for that word, a solid “F” that was easy to catch, even if the “-ck” wasn't. That, and by Raph's expression alone anyone could tell he was cursing, his face was twisted in dismay.
Honestly, Leo was relieved he was finally snapping too. The human and Nardo were, as expected in the situation, losing their shit, but they mostly kept it to themselves. It was nice Leo wasn't the only one fed up with the whole situation. Wasn't the only one “lashing out”, as the human had put it, a frustrated fingerspell.
Does Mikey know how to swim??, Raph asked, frantic. The whole camp underwater, it had taken Lo and Raph a while to get used to the feeling, even thought they could still breathe. Can't really learn to swim when your only access to water is full of shit.
He's a turtle. The other Leo signed, apparently fine being called Nardo. Leo was glad Mikey hadn't thought of that one. Maybe worse though, they decided to call him Lo. Raph was the one who suggested it, and Leo didn't want to make himself look insecure by objecting. Now he kinda wished he had. The name ‘Lo’ was something more intimate, something from when they were little. Like he was a kid again.
I'm sure he'll be ok! Nardo continued, but there was a fine tremor to his fingers, and his smile was a little strained. Leo wanted to argue, just for the sake of it, but Raph already looked stressed out of his mind.
We should split up and cover more ground, The human suggested. A spike of fear drove its way through Lo's chest like a stake through his lunges, or maybe a nail in a coffin, or maybe a little bit of both.
He had to move. Had to strike first.
I'll go with you. He signed, and damn it, his hands were shaking too as he pointed to the human. Maybe it was a Leo thing. Raph tracked the movement knowingly.
I can go with you. Raph offered.
We need one of you in each group. Nardo interjected firmly. If we find them we need someone from each family to help. He was annoyingly right. Lo nodded. Raph grimaced,
Fine. Text me if you need anything.
Ok, Mom. That made Raph crack a smile. A small one, at least.
Leo thought the day had pulled every last ounce of emotion out of him, wrung him dry, but looking back that was dumb. Raph wasn't there, and when Raph wasn't there Leo was a little less there too. So yeah, part of him expected the fear.
He hadn't expected it to be… kind of awkward.
There was a lot of walking, a lot of glancing and then glancing away. The human had to interpret as they asked around, but it wasn't really needed most of the time. There were a lot of shakes of heads, blank stares at the missing poster, tight lips as they shrugged.
Lo kept his head turned away, not wanting to see anymore. That was, until he looked back and TJ was gone. He jolted, spotting her pink jacket on the shore of the lake and two forms in the water. The human, and..
Lo broke into a run.
It was stupid, but at first he thought the small kid in the water was.. was..
It didn't make sense. It had been years since Mikey was that small.
Lo moved into the water to help, but there wasn't any need. Misa fit neatly into the human’s arms, even as she flailed.
Thank you, TJ signed anyway. She said something to Misa, a question. Misa's chest was moving up and down, up and down. She flapped her hands in distress. The human said something else, before patting Misa on the back. The kid coughed up water. Lo winced, pressing his shaking hands together. It was fine. Misa was okay! Until she covered her eyes, face painted with distress. TJ seemed to remember Lo was there, signing as she spoke to Misa,
Don't look at what? She asked her. What? His anxious confusion must have shown on his face, because TJ softened,
It’s okay Lo, I’ll take care of her. It was almost embarrassing how much he was reassured.
Cold. Misa signed it this time, half of the shivering genuine. TJ wrapped her jacket around her.
Better? She asked. Misa nodded. The human helped her dry off for a moment before turning to Leo,
We need to bring her with us.
What?? Are you crazy?? Lo signed a little smaller, suddenly aware the kid was watching him, It's too dangerous! She could slow us down!
He risked a look at Misa. Bad idea, those puppy-dog eyes were killer.
…it wouldn't be right to just leave her alone.
Fine. Stay close. Misa smiled. She was so cute it was obnoxious. TJ seemed to read his mind,
You're adorable in that jacket! Do you feel okay enough to walk, or should I carry you? Misa held her arms up. Tension fell from TJ’s shoulders, it was clear how much she loved kids. She rested Misa on her hip. Misa chewed on her thumb, signing with one hand,
Where is Misa?
We're going towards the cabins now. TJ pointed, Is there anyone we need to look for for you? Any friends or family? Misa shook her head. The kid was all alone, then. She bit down on her thumb again. Must have been a nervous habit, it reminded Lo a little of Donnie.
Hey Misa, can you help me? He asked. Misa looked up at Lo curiously. Can you help pass out these posters? She nodded, and took a few from him. The determined spark looked a lot like Raph.
TJ had been right about taking Misa along, at least this way she would have some people looking after her.
Hey! Leo snaps back into attention as TJ waves over another Mikey who was rushing by. She interprets a little hecticly, still balancing Misa in one arm. This Mikey was looking for his brother too.
Who's your brother? Leo asked. The Mikey began to sign as well.
Huge crocodile! He spread his arms all the way out, indicating what must have been, in scientific terms, a massive fucking crocodile, His name is Luke!
We can look for him while we search for our siblings. TJ signed. Lo gestured to Misa encouragingly. She handed a poster to the Mikey, who accepted it with thanks. To Leo's excitement, the Mikey's eyes lit up with recognition.
He gave me a bandana! He pointed to Mikey on the poster. I haven't seen him in a while though. He bit his lip anxiously. Please, let me know if you find my brother, he's been missing since the power outage.
The power outage… Lo didn't pay attention as TJ rattled off the same warning she had been giving to everyone. Fear spores caused disappearances. Anything glowing blue, even just blue for that matter, was dangerous. When asked for a phone number in case they saw Luke, he handed TJ… a purple cellphone? There was something distinctly Donnie about it.
This can call me directly through my ninpo, and I can call you, I'll let you know if I see anything.
Thank you. TJ signed gratefully as he rushed away. For a second, just a second, her expression crumpled into something awful, hurt, her eyes shining. She was quick to cover it up,
Ok. Let's go find some more people to ask. Lo nodded along.
It wasn't any of his business, really. She was a stranger. More than that, she was a human. Messing with humans was stupid, and Lo wasn't stupid. He wasn't.
…it was just, just for a second, she reminded him of Raph.
Except Raph always hid it a little faster.
…Leo was so stupid.
How are you? He asks. And he was so bad at this, just like always. TJ glanced at him, surprised he asked.
Alive. She responded. That was fair.
Good.. good… He signed. This was just embarrassing.
What about you? You okay?
Yeah, yeah. But his nodding fist shook. Lo jerked his hand down and into his pocket. TJ stopped, turning to him.
We will find Mikey. She looked him in the eye. I won’t stop trying until I know he’s back with you and safe. I promise.
She.. promised.
In their family, promises were big things. Some days, promises from Raph and Dad were the only things keeping him going. Promises were sacred. So it had to be true, right?
Damnit, she was just like Raph, taking Lo’s.. concern (ew) and turning it around on him. And just like Raph, it was working, he was all tensed up and eyes stinging, nope, abort mission, abort!
Right. Same. He avoided eye contact, looking around. Let's ask them! He pointed to a pair of turtles standing nearby. They were trying on red masks, but based on the giggling, and the orange fluttering out of their back pockets, they weren't Raphs.
Annoying. The human signed small, having to fingerspell the word, They're the ones pranking everyone. She didn't seem too happy about having to talk to them next. Leo fought a smile. It was a little funny when some of the other campers slimed him and Mikey, even if his brother didn't share the sentiment.
As usual, Leo stood back as the human talked and signed along.
No joke, our siblings are missing, have you seen them? Anywhere at all? There was an immediate reaction that Lo didn't bother paying attention to,
Your siblings are missing? Oh man, I'm sorry. I don't know what I'd do if my big bros went missing. The other turtle elbowed him, Ow-! I mean, if my one older brother Leonardo and my two younger brothers Donatello and Michelangelo went missing because I am Raphael and that is me. I'm Raph. Totally and absolutely. He flashed a smile.
…right. Lo signed before handing them a poster. To his surprise, the turtle's eyes lit up with recognition. Yeah! Tj did her best to interpret, Me and another Mike pranked him with some glitter, but bro totally freaked out. Cussed us out and everything.
Yikes, Mikey hated glitter. But cussing people out? That didn't sound like him at all. TJ looked annoyed, both with the pranksters and with the inability to sign with both hands. She mumbled something to Misa, who helpfully raised her hand so TJ could tap out a list.
One, how dare you upset him. Two, Lifesaver! Lifesaver? How did that help at all?? TJ turned to Lo, excited,
The glitter! She pointed to where the crystals were thicker, and it was a bit darker. Something sparkled. Glitter smudged against the stone.
Maybe TJ really would make good on her promise.

(Raph screams.
...
...
But there's someone listening.)
"Oh shit- Raph!!"
(Kadeen abandons what she's doing on her phone, sprinting to the campfire. She puts up a forcefield around it, running to her version Raph.)
"Hey, Raph, it's okay, you're here. Look at me."
(The blue tint leaves her eyes as he looks at Kadeen, confused.)
"You- you..."
"Yeah, yeah I know buddy, it's not real. I've got you, okay? Breathe..."
(They go through simple breathing exercises as the effect of the spores wears off.)
"There we go. You back with us, Raph?"
(She gives a nod, and a simple smile. He looks back to the fire for a moment...)
"...There's something wrong with the fire, isn't there?"
(She smiles at her.)
"You're getting better at expecting the unexpected. But... yes. One of the AUs carries these "fear spores." I'm sorry I couldn't shut them off before you got hurt... You doing okay now?"
"...Maybe..."
(...Kadeen shifts her wings, wrapping Raph in a hug where he gets to be small. )
"You know what I say, Raph."
"Things are going to be okay, wether people like it or not."
"Yea, yea, shush....."
