Classic Cave Squigs!

Going through some old stuff, I finally found my original Warhammer Cave Squigs. These guys are more than thirty years old, and were the first minatures I ever owned - they're the ones who got me into Warhammer and the goblin army to begin with!

Really pleased to have found them again, and it was delightful to get to paint them again - most of my original paint job had chipped off over the decades. I was temped to keep them on their original green bases out of nostalgia, but ended up rebasing them to match modern Age of Sigmar models. They'll make a fun addition to my Gloomspite horde and add a bit of variety to the squig regements!

Painted this kitbash. It's a black orc on wyvern but I did a kitbash so he could be a center piece for my night goblin army for old world

Painted this fella at a friend’s house had a great time with some good friends.

I always loved Night Goblins or Gloomspite Gitz. I probably would have collected them back in the day but everyone I knew played 40k. Now I collect just to paint and possibly use in my DCCRPG game so I’ve got a few now, mostly from Stormbringer magazine.

Late orktober post!

Ive been super busy recently so I hadn't had the time to post. So I guess Ill chop through the things I worked on in chunks.

Finished up Anvilsmasha. Super proud of how he came out. I need to figure out what happened to all my gamer grass because all of my bases need some color on them as you will see.

Here's the rest of my orktober. More goblin than ork, but its still greenskin. I got me some stabbas as well as the braggits bottle smash regiment of renown as well as the grikks kruleshots regiment of renown. You might be able to see the loonboss and gobbapalooza models that still need paint. Plenty more greenskinz to paint, but with orktober drawing to a close my attention moved to other more orderly things.

This one will stay my favorite for a long time ! It was so much fun to paint, I wish I could paint him all over agin only for the pleasure of it. And I'm glad I got to du such a "large" base! Everything is as colorful as I hoped.

Painted up a box of goblins. I find painting goblins oddly relaxing - just seeing them come to life as I carefully fill in their skin and dot their eyes and teeth. They've got enough interesting details to pick out, but they're not so over-detailed that they become tedious when you're doing a whole regiment.

I know the Bad Moon emblem on Warhammer goblins and gitz is traditionally yellow, but I decided red would look better against the purple and green of their robes and skin. They're the Blood Moon Boyz or something, I guess!
