rereading the part of the raven cycle where ronan mentions that aurora’s favorite movie is PYGMALION??? and it’s only sinking in now how sick and twisted it was of maggie to make the woman who was literally dreamt up for the purpose of being a wife and mother love a movie where a sculptor creates his fantasy and she becomes real.

ok but guys we were robbed at the end of greywaren. i have so many questions. i wish we'd gotten to see ronan's reaction to the new fenian and mor. because imagine you're ronan. you're returning to the barns after a massive, near-apocalyptic fight with the others in tow and a new understanding of your power. you're not expecting anyone else to be there. you walk in the door to find:

declan, who is apparently alive and well

although he's been shot?

weird. who shot him? what happened? (burglars?)

you go farther in to the kitchen and see:

niall lynch (resurrected?) (but not really) and aurora lynch (resurrected??) (but also not really) in the kitchen

what the fuck, you think.

and in rapid succession you learn that

"aurora lynch" is mor o corra. the original aurora lynch, but slightly to the left (and also holding a gun, actually. um.)

it turns out that she was the one who shot declan (???!!)

and is also his real mother? (!!!)

you also make the connection that he knew all along, and lied about the contents of the dark lady painting. he'd known aurora was a dream from day one.

you are angry, as is your usual reaction, but not surprised.

this is declan "liar mc lying liar face" lynch you're dealing with, after all.

"niall lynch" is apparently called the new fenian (what kind of fuckass name is that??). he's a dream copy, made to replace niall and imitate him in his prime and he's being kept alive through sweetmetals. it also turns out that the reason you're awake right now is because of him, which is not weird at all.

and it also turns out that you were never human in the first place! you were actually birthed out of mor and niall's dream, at the behest of an ancient forest.

(you wonder who you should thank for the gayness...)
