I had a different plan for this prompt at first but then a dog broke into my house and threw crumbs of parental Sans at me via the summer newsletter Papyrus interview. thanks toby
(seriously how am I supposed to be normal about 'what if Sans was [a parent]' being vaguely brought up in an official context, especially when Neue takes after Papyrus more than either of her parents!!!)

Theological Systems and the New Creation Model
Dr. Mike Vlach talks about his new book, The New Creation Model, in which he discusses the New Creation Model and the Spiritual Vision Mode. How did these two paradigms have influenced interpreters for thousands of years? How do Dispensationalism and Covenant Theology understand the storyline of the Holy Scriptures? Do premillennialism, amillennialism, and postmillennialism reflect the New…

About my fake staff ask
How I made it:
Currently, the tumblr API just... lets you make a post in which you "reply" to an "ask" from an arbitrary user, containing arbitrary content.
In tumblr's Neue Post Format (NPF), responses to asks look similar to other posts. The only difference is that they have a special entry in their "layout," specifying which part of the post is the ask, and who it is from.
Right now, if you try to create an NPF post with this kind of layout entry in it, it just works! You can use this to make an "ask" from anyone, containing anything, and answer it.
This is a huge bug and presumably will get fixed sometime soon?
How I discovered the bug:
Weirdly enough, I find out about it while trying to improve @nostalgebraist-autoresponder's alt text features this past week.
As you may have noticed, Frank now writes alt text differently, with more clarity about which pieces are AI-generated and what role they play.
While making this change, I found myself newly frustrated with my inability to use line breaks in alt text. The API used to let me do it, but then it stopped, hence all the "[newline]" stuff in older alt texts.
After poking around, I found that you can use line breaks in alt text on tumblr, and you can do this through the API, but only if you create posts in NPF.
Frank creates posts in legacy, not NPF. This has been true forever, and it works fine so I've had no reason to change it.
Fully rewriting Frank's post creation code to use NPF would take a lot of work.
Right now, Frank's language model generates text very close to a limited subset of HTML, which I can send to tumblr as "legacy" post content basically as-is. To create posts in NPF, I'd have to figure out the right way to convert that limited HTML into NPF's domain-specific block language.
I wasn't going to do that just to support this one nicety of alt text formatting.
"But wait...", I thought.
"Frank is already making these posts, with the alt text, in legacy format. And once they exist on tumblr, it's easy to determine how to represent them in NPF. I just fetch the existing post, in NPF format."
So all I need to do is
Have Frank make the post, as a draft, with the alt text containing "[newline]" or something in place of the line breaks I really want.
Fetch this draft, in NPF.
Create a new NPF post, with the same contents that we just fetched, in whichever state we wanted for the original post (draft, published, or queued).
Delete the draft we made in step 1.
This was convoluted, but it worked! I patted myself on the back for a clever workaround, and went on to do other stuff for a while...
...and then it hit me.
In the case where the post was a response to an ask, Frank was doing the following:
Responding to the ask.
Fetching the response in NPF.
Creating a completely new post, identical to the response -- including the contents of the original ask.
Deleting the original ask.
Meaning, you can just make asks ab nihilo, apparently.
So after a few more tests, I went and made the @staff ask, as one does.
Unfortunately, once the bug gets fixed, Frank's newlines-in-alt-text solution won't work for asks anymore... oh well, it wasn't a big deal anyway.

Hi!
Fitness Anon here…
The brand new photos of S’s pap walk in Soho today remind me of something I wanted to share with you about AM (now AD): Her husband plays football in Germany. About ten day ago there were reports in the yellow press about the get together of thee Munich players and their families as the Bundesliga sesason had ended.
AM was mentioned there with her baby. It was stated that she had previous relationships with other sport stars. None of these news mentioned her being linked to S.

Dear (returning) Fitness Anon,
I will translate the relevant part of that article. It's funny how S didn't make the Bild editor's cut, eh?
He should really stop wasting money on such #silly BS. Nobody - I repeat: NO-EFFIN'- BODY - gives a flying fuck anymore.
Ok, perhaps Data Lounge does give a (static) fuck, but this is what they do for just about everybody in showbiz. S's personal brand has seemingly gone from magic to trash. Let us hope it won't turn into a cautionary tale of sorts.
But onwards to Bild's article: 'Do you know all of them? These are the wives of the new players of the Bayern Munich'

[Photo legend: 'the Bayern star player Eric Dier with his model girlfriend Anna at the secret end-of-season party at the Käfer']

'Are you familiar with all these ladies?
Last Sunday [note: May 19th], FC Bayern organized a secret end-of-season party at Munich's upscale Käfer restaurant - despite the 2:4 defeat in Hoffenheim, the drop to third place in the Bundesliga and the first season without a title since 2012, the mood among the majority of guests was good.
It was a true family brunch! Featuring some lesser known faces... (....)'
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anna Dier: It was love at first sight for Eric Dier (30) and the South African model. After they became a couple in 2022, they got engaged in November of the same year and married in July 2023.
Shortly after, they announced on Instagram that they were expecting their first child. The baby was born at the end of January [2024]. The defender player shows loving care for the baby, as seen on the return flight from Madrid, after the 1-2 defeat in the match opposing the Real. Anna and the little one went there to support him!
Before meeting Eric Dier, Anna was in a relationship with Alexis Sanchez (35). The Chilean record international player formerly was active at Arsenal FC, Manchester United, Inter Milan and Olympique Marseille, among others.'
But... but...
Vielen Dank, dear Fitness Anon. Between three Tumblr trolls and Das Bild, I choose to believe Germany's best-selling daily newspaper, that's been around since 1952.

Gustav Klimt Portrait Found After Vanishing Nearly 100 Years Ago
It is one of the last works the artist painted before his death in 1918.
One of the last paintings by the renowned Austrian artist Gustav Klimt has miraculously been found after vanishing nearly 100 years ago.
The painting, titled Portrait of Fräulein Lieser, was found in Vienna after last being seen by the public in 1925. Until now, the only known photograph of the painting had been held in the archives of the Austrian National Library. The picture was likely taken in 1925 in connection with the Klimt exhibition by Otto Kallir-Nirenstein in the Neue Galerie, Vienna.
Since then, its location had been a mystery.
"The rediscovery of this portrait, one of the most beautiful of Klimt's last creative period, is a sensation," said the im Kinsky auction house in a statement announcing the discovery. "As a key figure of Viennese Art Nouveau, Gustav Klimt epitomizes fin de siècle Austrian Modernism more than any other artist. His work, particularly his portraits of successful women from the upper middle class at the turn of the century, enjoy the highest recognition worldwide."
The work of art will go up for auction at the im Kinsky auction house in Vienna on April 24 and is expected to fetch millions on the market.
Tumblr media
"Klimt's paintings rank in the top echelons of the international art market. His portraits of women are seldom offered at auctions. A painting of such rarity, artistic significance, and value has not been available on the art market in Central Europe for decades," im Kinsky auction house said. "This also applies to Austria, where no work of art of even approximate importance has been available."
The painting will now travel worldwide on short exhibitions until it is auctioned and is set to be presented at various locations internationally, including stops in Switzerland, Germany, Great Britain and Hong Kong.
The model for the painting is labeled as Fräulein Lieser, also known as Margarethe Constance Lieser (1899-1965), daughter of the Austrian industrial magnate Adolf Lieser. But new research by the im Kinsky auction house into the history and provenance of the masterpiece has opened up the possibility that Klimt's model could have been another member of the Lieser family -- either Helene Lieser (1898-1962), the first-born of Henriette Amalie Lieser-Landau and Justus Lieser, or their younger daughter, Annie Lieser (1901-1972), according to officials.
Tumblr media
"In April and May 1917, the sitter visited Klimt's studio in Hietzing nine times to pose for him," im Kinsky said. "Klimt probably began the painting in May 1917. The painter chose a three-quarter portrait for his depiction and shows the young woman in a strictly frontal pose, close to the foreground, against a red, undefined background. A cape richly decorated with flowers is draped around her shoulders."
The portrait is thought to be one of Klimt's last paintings and was done shortly before he died of a stroke on Feb. 6, 1918. The painting was left, with several small portions of it unfinished, in his studio and it is thought that the painting was given to the family who had commissioned it after his death.
The painting, however, would soon vanish and the exact fate of the painting after 1925 is unclear.
"What is known is that it was acquired by a legal predecessor of the consignor in the 1960s and went to the current owner through three successive inheritances," im Kinsky auction house said.

Die traumhaft wollige Begegnung
Der Anfang einer erotischen Geschichte
Episode 2, Teil 2

Her‘s was a(n) (after)life of firsts: Paula Modersohn-Becker (1876-1907). She painted the first nude self-portraits in art history and in 1927 was the first woman to have a museum named in her honor. And, in all honesty, the latter was well-deserved: in the 14 years she actively worked as an artists Modernsohn-Becker created some 700 paintings, almost 1,400 drawings and 11 prints. In her prolific output she broke new ground by focusing on such topics as childhood, old age, motherhood and her own bodily experience as a becoming mother. Bearing in mind that all of this took place at the turn of the 20th century one cannot help but acknowledge her bravery to stand up for herself and her artistic vision.
Up until September 9 Modersohn-Becker’s groundbreaking oeuvre is the subject of her first ever museum retrospective at Neue Galerie New York (and later at Art Institute of Chicago) that gathers significant works from all phases of her short career. With the exhibition’s title „Ich bin ich / I am Me“ the exhibition makers quote from a letter Modersohn-Becker wrote to her friend and confidant Rainer Maria-Rilke in 1906 in which she happily reports that she has finally come into her own artistically and as an individual. Since 1898 Modersohn-Becker lived in Worpswede, the artist village near Bremen, Germany, first as pupil of painter Fritz Mackensen and from 1901 onwards as wife of Otto Modersohn. Mackensen’s truthful depiction of people and landscape in and around Worpswede had a profound impact on Modersohn as demonstrate her portraits: they are in no way idealized but emphatically portray the sitters and display the manifold influences the artist processed. On her frequent stays in Paris she visited both museums and fellow artists and one can sense not only the example of Cézanne, Gauguin or Matisse but also the influence of Byzantine and Egyptian portraits and busts.
In the accompanying catalogue, published by Prestel, curators Jill Lloyd and Jay A. Clarke provide two truly eye-opening essays, one dedicated to Modersohn-Becker’s life, artistic formation and influences, the other dealing with her long overlooked Worpswede drawings from 1898/99 in which she depicts, mainly female, inhabitants of the village. In contrast to her male peers Modersohn drew her models not as anonymous figures but as emotive individuals. Although they don’t fit into the artist’s general reception as painter of colorful (self) portraits, they offer deep insights into her soulful awareness of the world around her. This awareness surely pervades her entire oeuvre but becomes strongly evident in the roughly 50 Worpswede drawings that round out this very insightful catalogue and its fresh perspective on an eminent artist of early German Expressionism.
