So, if for whatever reason some of you realized that the way I draw Dante’s hair is different from how I usually do it (undercut) on the top drawing, is because Aphmau styled his hair when they got back to Phoenix Drop as a way to repay him for giving her the winter clothes and her hair ribbon (before that she just let her hair loose). She asked Nicole for help since if Aphmau did it herself the result could be compared to how she builds ships (That’s also how Nicole and Dante met first time B:))

Dante didn’t mind the drastic haircut, it kind of made him look less like Gene, which he appreciated.

And you don’t know what anyone looks like until you meet them!#The other thing in a similar vein was with dialga #I didn’t know what dialga was SUPPOSED to look like so when they’re all talking about how fucked up he is I was like damn #He DOES look pretty fucked up. Some kind of beast #And then after fixing time you see he looks THE SAME except with a palette change #Like oh. i see. #AYEAAA the chapter art always delivers #tbh i was kind of neutral on kabru for a while bc i wasnt sure ab his purpose or much ab him really #to form a solid opinion but hes rly growing on me.I LIKE HIMM!!!#isnt that so interesting though. like thats kind of the role he plays come to think of it #hes an observer . he studies everyone he meets / sizes them up while simultaneously concealing his own true nature #adopting diff personas to best fit his prerogative so its cool that he genuinely is harder to understand when you meet him #and like toshiro / namari / his own party say- you can tell that hes not entirely authentic ab himself #but you cant really dissect much below that without having access in2 his internal dialogue #id known beforehand he was one of the more popular characters but i had a hard time conceptualizing why #given there was so little to be said abt Him!Kabru! but no i see it now he got me Guys he Got Me #i also have so much go say abt mithrun in retrospect but idk how to word it or rly what it means outside of the abstract #but i lovedddd … the goat.. does anyone else love being "easily impressed" by life, just in general? from art pieces of all forms- films, paintings, sculptures, literature, tv shows etc- to most mudane things in life, im impressed. im impressed by them all. im overwhelmed by the beauty of life, by the beauty of the things humans create, by the beauty of nature in action. all of it feels so extremely overwhelmingly important to me, all of it feels alive. everything is truly important to me and i dont quite know how to explain it in any other way,,, genuinely tho i love being like this, i love loving things so easily, finding the beauty in it all so instinctually. its all natural to me, its all so beautiful, its all so impressive. i love being impressed by the beauty of life thats seen in everything : )
