Manhunt for Nathan Wade 😬
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“The committee issued the subpoena on Friday, attempted to serve the subpoena to Nathan Wade’s lawyer, who declined, and subsequently the committee tried to serve the subpoena via email through Nathan Wade himself, never heard back. As a result, the committee had to use the assistance of the U.S. Marshals, who have also not been able to find Nathan Wade,” Russell Dye, a spokesman for the committee, told Newsweek on Wednesday evening.
Nathan Wade, previously a special prosecutor in the election interference case against former President Donald Trump in Georgia, has gone missing.
Wade is the subject of a search by U.S. Marshals after his failure to appear for a subpoena issued by the U.S. House Judiciary Committee, which is investigating the handling of the case by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis began her romantic relationship with her prosecutor 'lover' Nathan Wade in late 2019, three years earlier than they claimed in a court filing, her college friend told a court in bombshell testimony Friday.
It would mean the relationship began before Wade was hired in the Georgia election interference case Willis is pursuing against Donald Trump – and could provide a reason for a judge to disqualify them from the case.
Robin Yeartie's testimony directly contradicts information provided Willis and Wade that the relationship did not begin until after Wade was hired in November 2021.
Not telling the truth while under oath in a court proceeding is a crime, called "Perjury".

Hafiz Rashid at The New Republic:
The Georgia Court of Appeals has set a date to hear the Trump legal team’s appeal to remove Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from the Georgia election interference case. Oral arguments are set to begin in October—all but guaranteeing to delay the election racketeering trial until past the election and well into 2025. In mid-March, Judge Scott McAfee ruled that Willis could continue to prosecute the case, so long as she cut ties with her special prosecutor, Nathan Wade, with whom she was accused of having an improper relationship. Two weeks later, Trump and eight of his 18 co-defendants in the case filed an application with the Georgia Court of Appeals asking it to reconsider McAfee’s decision, and last month, the court agreed to hear the case.
With Willis’s status on the fraud case pushed late in the year, the odds of the trial even beginning before the election in November have shrunk to zero. It’s a success for the convicted felon and Republican presidential candidate, whose legal strategy in the many cases against him has been to delay them so they can’t affect his chances of winning back the presidency.
Between this delay, Judge Aileen Cannon stalling Trump’s classified documents trial, and the Supreme Court’s examination of presidential immunity, Trump’s conviction on 34 felony charges in his hush-money trial may be the only legal consequences he faces for a long time. Even though sentencing is set to be decided in July in that case, Trump still can appeal the conviction and push his sentence further down the road.
This is sure to push the Georgia v. Trump RICO ACT case past election day this year and likely into 2025.
The Georgia Court of Appeals sets the date of oral arguments on Convicted Felon Donald Trump’s appeal of the ruling that kept Fani Willis on the case.

Interesting and Hopeful - 02/16/2024
It's been an interesting last 2 days. Donald Trump and his corporation was ordered to pay $355 million in damages in his New York civil trial. He also can't do business in New York for 3 three years. Eric Trump and Don Jr. can't do business in New York for 2 years. Of course, the Trump team is appealing it. The New York Attorney General who brought the case against Trump and his organization, Letitia James, is extremely biased as she had campaigned on the promise to take Trump down. The liberal New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron had it in for Trump from the beginning of the trial. The whole thing is completely ridiculous. Trump didn't do anything wrong. The claim was that he over-valued the worth of Mar-a-Lago, which the judge determined to be worth $18 million, when it's really worth closer to a billion dollars. There were no victims, no complaints from the banks, they got paid back on time and made a lot of money from the interest. This is more banana republic stuff that shouldn't ever happen in our country.
In the Georgia Jan 6 trial, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis testified yesterday regarding the affair she's been having with her top special prosecutor, Nathan Wade. She was very condescending. This is another ridiculous situation, obviously. She paid him $650,000 and went on lavish vacations with him who supposedly paid her his part of the expenses with cash. Nathan Wade's father testified that, that is what black people do, hide and stash away cash in the house, like six months' worth. That's really strange to me and sounds a bit racist. This case should be thrown out. In fact, I think all the cases against Trump are political witch hunts as Trump calls them, and they should all be thrown out. It's gotten beyond ridiculous, in my opinion.
In a Russian prison north of the Arctic circle, an outspoken political prisoner died, Alexei Navalny. Many believe that since he was relatively young, 40's, and in good health, that he was probably murdered. Although his cause of death hasn't been officially determined.
A lot of interesting stuff going on, it's an exciting time to be alive. I just hope our country can survive until this November and that Trump gets back into office. I believe that will happen.

Lydia O'Connor at HuffPost:
A Georgia appeals court has halted all proceedings in former President Donald Trump’s election interference case while it weighs a request to disqualify Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from being involved in it.
The announcement comes a month after the appeals court agreed to reconsider a lower court ruling that allowed Willis to stay on the case prosecuting Trump for his alleged interference in the 2020 election in Georgia. It’s highly unlikely that this case will go to trial before November, when Trump is expected to face off against President Joe Biden for control of the White House. The case out of Georgia ― one of four Trump was indicted in last year ― is thought to be one of the most daunting faced by the former president and his allies. Unlike his federal cases, Trump would be unable to pardon himself or any other defendants of state charges if he were to be elected president, and a conviction carries the possibility of prison time.
All proceedings in the Georgia v. Trump trial are being paused while it considers Donald Trump’s farcical request to remove Fulton County DA Fani Willis from the case. This means that any finality in the case will be pushed back into 2025, when Trump could be back in office.
