Nagathas were tortured, wormlike creatures created by spirit nagas as servitors.
Nagathas were wormlike creatures with humanoid torsos and arms that ended in twisted, clawed hands, and a vaguely viper-like head. They were typically 7 feet (2.1 meters) long and weighed between 150 to 250 pounds (68 to 110 kilograms).
Nagathas felt a constant emptiness within them, a painful emotional echo and a sense that something important to them was lost forever. The only solace they found was either in commiserating with other nagathas, or when fighting, since battle let them focus their pain and confusion in a somewhat cathartic fury. However, nagathas were also utterly loyal to the spirit naga that created them. They were also utter sadists.
No nagatha started life as a nagatha: they were created by spirit nagas from medium-sized humanoids in a process that was both cruel and horrific, stripping away their free will, memories, and abilities. Their legs were fused together into a worm-like mass and their arms were twisted into claws that made wielding weapons impossible. The worst part of the transformation was to the mind, which spirit nagas dulled to prevent any arcane spellcasting even as they erased the nagatha's memories of any prior existence, and wove a charm person spell throughout the procedure that was responsible for the nagatha's loyalty.
Even worse, the spirit nagas deliberately left the emotional pain and sense of loss all nagathas felt, cultivating it and taking care afterwards to express a measure of understanding and sympathy. Nagathas consequently looked to their "parents" for a sense of purpose, and reacted to any suggestion that their master might be responsible for their pain with rage.
Nagathas were always found near spirit nagas, which was normally in temperate marshes, unless their master had been killed. On Toril, spirit nagas and their nagatha servitors were known to live in the caves along the Nagaflow in the Nagaland in Chondath and Sespech, and in Najara.

National Hot Heads Chili Day
Chili lovers celebrate National Hot Heads Chili Day on January 17 every year. On this day, chili heads, heat-seekers, and extreme eaters try out the spiciest chilis. National Hot Heads Chili Day is celebrated with habanero-eating challenges, fancy-dress contests, and cook-offs of popular recipes. Chilis are also made to take the official Scoville heat scale. This doesn’t mean that you have to be a daredevil to celebrate the day — anyone who likes their meal a little hot can celebrate the day! Spices and chilis add a distinct flavor to the dish. Thai, Indian, Creole and Caribbean dishes are famous for their heat content and boast of some excellent gastronomic experiences!
History of National Hot Heads Chili Day
We don’t quite know how National Hot Heads Chili Day came to be but it’s safe to say that one fine day all the chili lovers got together and decided to celebrate hot and spicy food. This makes sense given how humans have always had a knack for chilis in their food — the first recipes for spicy foods go back to 6,000 years! This means that humans have been enjoying spicy food for quite some time. While the foods that we enjoy today may have changed and recipes altered, we still love spicy food. Unlike other animals, humans prefer spicy food simply because it tastes so incredible and on a plus side, spices also offer several health benefits.
Spices such as turmeric and cumin that have powerful antimicrobial and antioxidant properties can kill bacteria outright. Studies show that the capsaicin in hot peppers can reduce inflammation and decrease the chances of heart disease. It can also aid in weight loss. In Ayurvedic medicine, the inflammatory properties of chilis have brought relief from many different conditions, such as headaches, autoimmune disorders, and arthritis. Spicy foods can also help fasten your metabolism. Studies also show that certain spices, like pepper chilies, turmeric, cinnamon, and cumin can curb your appetite and improve your metabolic resting rate. Who knew chilis could be so versatile!

Nagas in India and Asia part 3
The Tribe
Naga refers to an aboral Tribe in India t
Nāga, group of tribes inhabiting the Nāga Hills of Nāgāland (q.v.) state in northeastern India. They include more than 20 tribes of mixed origin, varying cultures, and very different physiques and appearances. The numerous Nāga languages (sometimes classified as dialects) belong to the Tibeto-Burman group of the Sino-Tibetan language family. Almost every village has its own dialect; different groups of Nāgas communicate in broken Assamese (Nāgamese), or sometimes in English and Hindi. The largest tribes are the Konyaks, Āos, Tangkhuls, Semās, and Angāmis.
Most Nāgas live in small villages strategically placed on hillsides and located near water. Shifting cultivation (jhūm) is commonly practiced, although some tribes practice terracing. Rice and millet are staples. Manufactures and arts include weaving (on simple tension looms) and wood carving. Nāga fishermen are noted for the use of intoxicants to kill or incapacitate fish.
Tribal organization has ranged from autocracy to democracy, and power may reside in a council of elders or tribal council. Descent is traced through the paternal line; clan and kindred are fundamental to social organization.
As a result of missionary efforts dating to the 19th-century British occupation of the area, a sizable majority of Nāgas are Christians.
In response to the nationalist political sentiment among the Nāga tribes, the government of India created the state of Nāgāland in 1961.
this tribe still exists and has more than 12 more tribes within and has a unique subculture
still, they share the same origin story myth and it involves the ocean or at least a large water hall that they came passing a one
some Naga traditional neckless and masks, here we can see that even though the now live in the hill country that had connections with the ocean and in this tribe it never appeared any serpent related iconography which is a special incident and also they were non snake worshipers

Nagaland killing is a case of mistaken identity, states Union Home Minister Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed grief over the incident that took place in Nagaland wherein civilians were killed by the security personnel and informed the parliament on Monday that “a team of 21 para-commandos of Indian Army laid an ambush” for insurgents in Mon district on December 4 evening but “it turned out to be a case of mistaken identity”.
He also stated that the government has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT)) which has been directed to inspect the case and complete the investigation within one month. He said that the situation was “reviewed in detail to ensure that normalcy is restored at the earliest” and all agencies are being told to “ensure that no such unfortunate incident recurs in future while undertaking operations against insurgents”.
Shah gave an identical statement in both the houses which read, “The Government of India sincerely regrets this unfortunate incident in Nagaland and expresses its deepest condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives.”
“Based on inputs received by the Indian Army about the movement of the insurgents near Tiru village in Tizit area of Mon district, a team of 21 para-commandos of Indian Army laid an ambush in the evening of 04.12.2021. During the ambush, a vehicle approached the location and it was signaled to stop. However, the vehicle tried to flee, following which the vehicle, suspected of carrying insurgents, was fired upon resulting in the killing of 6 out of 8 persons travelling in the vehicle. However, it turned out to be a case of mistaken identity. The two persons who sustained injuries were evacuated to the medical facilities by the Army personnel,” he added.
“Upon receiving the news, local villagers surrounded the Army team, burnt two vehicles and assaulted them, resulting in death of one Security Force (SF) personnel and injuries to several others. To disperse the crowd, SFs opened fire which resulted in killing of 7 more civilians and injuring some others,” he said.

Since I don't really see people on Tumblr talking about the killings in Nagaland, India... I'm gonna make a post about it myself.
They were unarmed and returning home from work. The paramilitary was supposedly given the intel about an attack and assumed the vehicle containing civilians to be that of insurgents. But question is, why didn't the army first interrogate the civilians? Can you just shoot just on the basis of suspicion? In 'disturbed' areas of India, apparently yes. The AFSPA makes it legal.
There has been protests against AFSPA since its implementation and this recent incident has only reignited them. The AFSPA is currently in enforced in seven of the North Eastern states. One such act was passed in Punjab but has since been withdrawn. There were talks about its implementation in West Bengal thanks to its usual political turmoil.
The AFSPA might be necessary for security reasons in border areas but it also undermines human rights. The innocent civilians need justice and just paying ex gratia to their families isn't enough in my opinion. It's sad how few know about the killings...
Well, my job was to inform you guys :')

Ethnic groups in India's north-east have long opposed the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) - a controversial federal law that gives the army sweeping powers, including protection from prosecution for soldiers who mistakenly kill civilians. The law has been blamed for "fake killings" and campaigners say it is often misused. The call to repeal the AFSPA was echoed by rights body Human Rights Watch, and the chief ministers of Nagaland and nearby Meghalaya state. Even leaders of India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is also a coalition partner in the Nagaland government, agree. "Security forces are meant to protect humans. We want to tell India's home minister Mr Shah that this draconian AFSPA law is unprofessional, based on unprofessional intelligence inputs and a total failure," said Hosea Konyak, a senior BJP leader from Mon district.
