1899 Park Slope brownstone mansion in Brooklyn, NY has 6bds, 3.5ba, 4,100 sq ft. $4.195m.

This home has incredibly detailed woodwork that's going to need a good cleaning. The large entrance hall reflects the size of the home. I can't say that I like the orange walls and gray trim, but that's easily fixed.

The main sitting room is an awkward shape. It's so long and narrow, but the owners have all of the furniture against the walls, which doesn't do it any favors. No matter how narrow the room is, you've still got to float some of the pieces to fill the center. Look at the huge doorway moldings, though.

The dining room is magnificent with it's fireplace and incredible built-in cabinets. Look at the door and transom- it's huge. Love the chandelier, too. This room needs some decor and it will look crazy elegant.

Isn't this the best kitchen ever? It's just about original. No walls were removed, it still retains it's basic footprint. Look at the stained glass windows and the glass window in the original door.

The small powder room is disappointing. The sink is terrible. It needs some cute Victorian decor.

The bedrooms are all very large. They've got original woodwork and fireplaces.

What a vintage bath. This is amazing.

It's the en-suite for the large sunny children's room. Love the fireplace.

Usually, Victorian nurseries are small rooms, but this one is fairly larger than most.

Here's another bath that combines vintage and modern. I'm surprised that there are only 3.5 baths in this huge house. It amounts to 1 per floor.

Here's another lovely bedroom. They all get wonderful sunlight.

But, this suite is the coolest one, especially if you're an artist. It has skylights for great natural light and a huge studio.

The studio is actually 2 rooms and has this big wall of storage.

Plus, there's this nicely done shower room.

And, this is a large one bedroom apt., complete with it's own kitchen.

This small back porch is used as a home office.

If the new owner would like a finished basement, this one would make a great rathskeller.

There's a small garden out back, which is always a bonus in the city.

While brilliant minds are working hard to unearth a cure, Ronald McDonald House New York provides around-the-clock care and support for kids and families who travel to NYC for treatment. It's a privilege to work with them to create some happy moments and special memories while they're far from home and battling unimaginable hardship. I want to thank Sebastian for always thinking of the kids and asking how he can help. Don has also gone above & beyond to help raise money and awareness for RMH-NY and last week they came out to spend a fun-filled day with the families. These are some of my favorite behind-the-scenes moments from our summer sundae event. The afternoon was filled with so much laughter and I can't thank them enough for their love, patience, time, and kindness. How could there possibly be a sale pending on a $28m house like this? I guess there are rich people out there. The 1874 mansion in Palisades, NY has been redone with an artsy modern vibe, but it also incorporates some cool vintage elements, too, like a Victorian shower. 8bds, 9ba, 8,000 sq ft.

The current owners are art collectors and have proper lighting installed. The original woodwork has been painted white to showcase the art.

Very large sitting room leads into another, smaller, sitting room with a fireplace.

The dining room walls and ceiling form a giant abstract art canvas.

The kitchen isn't that exciting.

There's a nice wine room back here, though.

The stair railings look original.

Office or den at the top of the stairs.

The primary bedroom has enough space for a corner sitting area.

And, here's how they incorporated the Victorian shower.

Closet and dressing table.

The uppermost level of the house is finished.

A couple more bedrooms up here.

Also a family room.

And, this would be the driveway in winter- it's upstate New York, so...

Beautiful. I would have to turn this into a she shed.
