Sometimes I just really miss what the destiel fandom used to be. Heck, the Supernatural fandom in general. I miss getting so excited for episode nights and live blogging with all my mutuals. I miss talking about what we love and don't love and all our theories. I miss the fact that we had so much new fanart being made daily that you couldn't keep up. There were new fanfics and links to fanfics on every page of your dash. I miss superwholock and even the competing against Sterek. I miss convention weekends and how hyped we were for inside information, clues, and new fan stories. I miss the shenanigans. Only our fandom could come up with a fake holiday that took over all of tumblr with Misha's face. And I know, without a doubt, that I will never again experience the high that happened on November 5th.

I'm currently watching my favorite show that still airs live and I was looking forward to it, excited even, enough that I recognized the feeling. But it's a pale shadow of what we once had.

I just. I don't know how many of you are still around, but I just wanted to say. I miss you. All of you.

You know what's so beautiful about IchiRuki? One doesn't supercede the other. They are completely equal in a way no other ship or couple can be. This is the miracle ship that pushes and pulls the exact same amount.

So no fanfiction writers, ichigo doesn't become a Kuchiki and Rukia doesn't become a Kurosaki. They keep their surnames and work in tandem. Because that is what makes the so compelling to people.

It's not their beautiful interactions that scream how much they care about each other. It's not the sun/moon symbology. It's not even the fact that when they are together, others fade into the background. All of that helps, but it's not what made them the 1 in a million ship

It's their synergy. These two are equals in their relationship, they fall into it at the same pace and have the same level of affection for each other the entire time. It doesn't matter that ichigo is physically stronger, it doesn't change their power dynamics in the slightest. It doesn't matter that rukia is mentally stronger. They both see each other in the exact same way.

Yes rukia changed ichigos world, but ichigo changed rukias just as much.
