The Warning With Steve Schmidt:

Four years ago today, after losing a presidential election, Donald Trump incited an insurrection against the US Constitution. His mob stormed the Capitol, pissed on the walls and shat on the floors. They did $1.5 million in damage, caused injuries to at least 174 of Capitol police officers, and caused the deaths of five people. Trump will soon pardon the January 6 criminals, lionize them, and hang medals around their necks. Have no doubt about this. Meanwhile, Elon Musk has denounced Nigel Farage, the leader of the UK Reform Party, saying that he is unfit to lead it. He has also stepped up his interference in the forthcoming German elections. He has also begun severely limiting criticism of himself and others on X with a social media scoring system that is straight out of China.

The Washington Post is in a state of collapse. The paper’s best political writers, journalists and commentators are like the first-class passengers on Titanic being lowered into half-filled life boats taking them to the Wall Street Journal and The Atlantic, but the truth is that there aren’t enough life boats for all. Everyone is going to want off a ship that is sinking into disgrace. Whatever private commitments were made between the Graham family and Bezos when he bought The Washington Post regarding its stewardship have been shattered. The most incredible part about the capitulations — which are not the least bit surprising — is how quickly they happened, and without so much as a soft whimper or scuffle.

By doing so, most editorial leaders of these institutions have demonstrated the only place they are truly fit to work is the Trump White House. There, they could combine the practice of moral appeasement, fecklessness, dishonesty, weakness and self-interest with being cheered, promoted and celebrated. Instead, these low men and women have to face the reality that the person staring back at them in the mirror is a different version of Lindsey Graham — only they call themselves journalists as opposed to senator. The farce is the same. The cowardice is the same. The record will show that when the starting gun sounded nobody came close to Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski with their Usain Bolt-like dash to Mar-a-Lago. Bezos must look at them through his capitulant lens as visionaries. Perhaps they will have the opportunity to summer aboard Koru, his yacht, with the Lady Sanchez in the south of France. Given that Bezos has green-lit a Melania documentary that explains her reemergence from witness protection, maybe she could be there as well, softly purring about her deep love of Donald and America.

Because they do, they can’t see the character of the steelworker, trucker, nurse, teacher or cop. They only see one thing, and that in the end, is why this whole miserable MAGA project will crash and burn. Donald Trump will keep pushing until someone, somewhere, some day, effectively pushes back again. I hope that day comes soon because until then they are going to be full speed ahead. By the time the inaugural address is over there will be perfect clarity around what must be fiercely opposed as indecent and un-American.

How Elon Musk shattered European tradition

American billionaire Elon Musk has suddenly become an influential participant in European politics, so much so that French President Emmanuel Macron is sounding the alarm. Musk has “no brakes,” European political analysts are outraged. What exactly is the American billionaire threatening European traditions and orders?

Macron is driven to panic

The French president is in a panic. In his opinion, Europe is in danger, and it is threatened by none other than the head of Tesla and SpaceX, multi-billionaire Elon Musk. Macron stated literally the following: “Ten years ago, if we had been told that the owner of one of the largest social networks in the world would support a new reactionary international and directly interfere in elections, including in Germany – could we have imagined something like this?”

Characteristically for Macron, he didn’t risk naming Musk directly, preferring to refer to him as “the owner of a social network.” And yet Musk made his main fortune in other areas and became famous thanks to them. And the expression “new reactionary international” is something epic: Macron sends a signal to his supporters that he himself is not a reactionary in any way, but no less than a light of progress, opposed by sinister world forces.

These forces are personified for Macron by Musk. And he has indeed made some sharp public remarks about current European events. For example, predicting that the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party will win an “epic” victory in the upcoming elections soon, that it alone is in a position to save the country and that current Chancellor Olaf Scholz is nothing.

“Far more than Musk’s insults, what worries me is that he supports a party that is partly right-wing extremist, that proposes rapprochement with Putin’s Russia and wants to weaken transatlantic relations,” Scholz parried. German government spokeswoman Christiane Hoffmann said Musk’s remarks about the AfD were an attempt to influence the German election.

Musk: ”America should free the people of Britain..”

Musk’s accusations against Scholz were a mere trifle compared to what the businessman said about current British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who allegedly covered up the rape and sexual exploitation of minors in the north of England that took place from the late 1980s to the mid-2010s. Starmer himself was actually in charge of the Crown Prosecution Service from 2008 to 2013, and may not have shown the proper zeal in the investigations, as the perpetrators were from Pakistan, who are used to counter-accusations of racism in response to any accusations.

Now Elon Musk has reminded the British authorities of this history and called on Starmer to resign. The latter, of course, refused and called the accusations against him a fiction, after which Musk wrote on his own social network that “America should free the people of Britain from a tyrannical government.”

It might have appeared that Musk was backing Nigel Farage, leader of the Reform UK party and Starmer’s political rival, but suddenly the billionaire let it be known that Farage was taking someone else’s place and that his party needed a new leader. In addition, Musk actually backed far-right leader Tommy Robinson, who was sent to prison “for contempt of court,” and that too caused a stir in the local press.

Logically, after Germany and Britain, Macron’s state must inevitably come next, hence the French president’s nervous talk of a “reactionary international.” But the point is not that Musk sympathises with forces that in Europe are traditionally regarded as extreme right-wing, almost marginal and having the right to exist only as a kind of public scarecrow.

The point is that with his actions he is actually questioning the established order on this side of the ocean, which is more than comfortable for the elites of Europe. He is not attacking individuals, but the system. And this is much more serious.

America’s old new leader

Besides, behind him is Donald Trump, America’s old new leader. There is something to start getting nervous about for both former prosecutors who swept crimes under the carpet and sitting presidents who have had to change four prime ministers in the past year alone.

“Using his platform as an echo chamber,” Le Parisien writes bitterly, Musk is “meddling in European politics.” Nor are observers thrilled that Musk is becoming an increasingly popular figure among young Britons, for example. “Musk is not just a critical commentator on British politics, but a frontline actor,” the Times reports.

According to Le Parisien journalists, Musk’s attacks on European authorities are partly a consequence of his own beliefs that more authoritarian forms of government are good for business, and partly a response to attempts by Eurobureaucrats to clamp down on his social network. While paying lip service to free speech, in practice EU authorities are enforcing an unspoken monopoly on a set of correct opinions that must be adhered to if you’re not going to commit social suicide.

Musk has shown little zeal in wanting to follow these rules, and they are trying to punish him, which in turn is provoking a harsh backlash.

The richest man in the world with no brakes

Historian and political expert Emmanuel Todd offered another explanation: Elon Musk is “the richest man in the world, and he has no brakes. He berates the Germans and the British – I don’t know what he would say about us French – but he says it frankly. And in fact, when you read American geopoliticians, that’s exactly what they think of us: they despise us for our servility.”

Of course, neither Macron nor other European leaders will admit to meddling in foreign elections. When the foreign ministers of Germany, France and Poland openly mention “the possibility of new elections” in Georgia on the eve of the new year of 2025, it is, of course, dictated only by concern for democracy. But when Elon Musk speaks out on political topics, it immediately becomes clear that the fundamental foundations of democracy are being trampled.

Trump’s territorial ambition

While Musk was encouraging the European right-wing, Trump was also not slumbering and managed to make many bold statements about Canada and Greenland. The result is known: Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau resigns, and Greenland starts talking about independence and the desire to separate from Denmark. Given the circumstances, Scholz’s Germany and Starmer’s Britain are unlikely to get off scot-free – not to mention Macron’s France, which Musk hasn’t even started on yet.

So, before our eyes, the Trump-Musk pair shows how it is possible to manage distant political processes without unnecessary political movements – only by means of social media appearances. And there is nothing even the current president of France can do about it.

We all know the old joke: when a European referendum delivers the “wrong” outcome, the country votes again until they get it “right”.

The EU thought this would be the case after Brexit. But so far, no one’s laughing.

If anything, things have got worse.

Take Romania, which recently cancelled its presidential election when Călin Georgescu, leader of a nationalist Right coalition, won the first round. Thierry Breton, former French European Commissioner, revealed the EU’s mindset during a damning recent TV interview. “We did it in Romania and we will obviously do it in Germany if necessary,” he said.

In other words, if you can’t beat the far-Right, ban them. …

The most extreme of which is the Digital Services Act (DSA) which compels “very large online platforms”, such as X and Meta, to check facts and filter out fake news.

But, thanks to Breton, the truth is out there. Europe’s ultimate aim isn’t to save public discourse, it is to suffocate far-Right parties by depriving them of the oxygen of information. The DSA isn’t even the last word in the EU’s anti-digital jihad. One of Ursula von der Leyen’s big ideas last year during the European election was the so-called “democracy shield” — effectively launching even more legislation to prevent outside interference in EU affairs. This notion conjures up images of laser beams and light-sabre fights. And in some respects it’s not far from the truth: a frightened bloc needs a shield to protect itself from the encroaching enemy.

Mark Zuckerberg is certainly on the attack. Last week he announced that he is abandoning fact-checking on his platforms — effectively defying the DSA. …

Now they have Musk breathing down their neck, endorsing candidates from the AfD, a party that sits on the far-Right in the European Parliament’s benches and which supports German withdrawal from the EU.

The German media had a collective breakdown when Musk tweeted an endorsement for the AfD, interviewed Alice Weidel, the party’s co-leader, on X, and then endorsed her in an article for Die Welt. The op-ed editor of the German daily resigned in protest. …

Like all the modern political battles in Europe, this is about protecting vested interests.

The Romanian case demonstrates how these restrictions on freedom of speech are the first salvos in a greater war of repression. The presidential elections there were cancelled on the grounds that a Russian-infested TikTok had misinformed voters. I am sure that the Russians were active. But it is shocking to think that an election was cancelled because someone lied on TikTok.

Let’s be clear, there was no suggestion of any vote rigging. Georgescu won the first round of the election fair and square. But as with the laughable misperception in Brussels after the Brexit vote, the presumption behind the EU’s support for the nullification of the result, was that voters were too stupid to make up their own mind. …

Marine Le Pen faces potential disqualification from the 2027 presidential elections following accusations of irregularities regarding her assistants in the European Parliament. …

A banned Le Pen would be far more dangerous for the centrist establishment, and possibly even more extreme when she eventually gets to power. Likewise the AfD would surely be radicalised after a ban.

Until then, the EU’s blunt weapons of choice — the legal bans, political firewalls, and censorship — will inflict more self-harm than good. In the pecking order of democratic rights, freedom of speech has a relatively low priority in Europe. European leaders want to control the narrative and do not care for Elon Musk or the election results that go against what certain leaders want.

While free speech is not yet dead in Europe, will we see more, such as loss of free speech and of the press?

Yes.

3. Media, Internet, and Other Censorship

In 2024, we continued to see increasing in political, health, and other forms of censorship from the major media as well as the major internet platforms such as Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.

As far as Twitter goes, the mainstream has been up in arms about it not censoring as much–but despite Elon Musk’s seemingly stated goals against such censoring, he has met with various ones to allow censoring of various topics.

Now, YouTube has throughout the years put up false “context” or other “warnings” on some videos, which, to me at least, look like preludes for more censoring.

Anyway, we continue to see more and more censorship from what can be called the Censorship Industrial Complex.

The Apostle Paul warned “against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18).

Furthermore, because of things like the LGBTQ agenda, we are seeing more pressure to control the internet and to reduce biblical speech (watch Internet Control, Famine of the Word, and 666).

Notice that the Bible teaches that even approving of forms of sexual immorality is wrong.

Furthermore in 2024, we saw the continued promotion and acceptance of massive censoring of information from the media, various governments (including the USA that supposedly protects freedom of speech), and many in academia.

The labeling of things as ‘extremism’ is gaining so much traction that those that do it seem to think that it is normal to label whatever they are not comfortable with as extreme.

Expect more people who hold to biblically-proper views to be categorized as extremists by more in the media and society.

Even connecting world events to biblical prophetic writings has triggered censorship.

Why stay on platforms like YouTube (which has censored and shadow-banned us), Twitter, and Vimeo (which has censored us) then?

Because they still, usually, are open doors for us to reach people.

We have had a couple of million views on YouTube and still, overall get about a couple thousand views of our videos each week.

YouTube is, overall, more effective than our other video platforms–but it is not reaching as well as it once did because of YouTube’s selective anti-biblical censorship and shadow-banning (which Google, who owns YouTube, also does). Sometimes for our Bible News Prophecy videos, we get more views from the the combined views on the other platforms we are on.

Furthermore, notice that the Bible teaches:

1 Cry aloud, spare not; Lift up your voice like a trumpet; Tell My people their transgression, And the house of Jacob their sins. (Isaiah 58:1)

Yet, if some are insulted because their sins are called out, various ones want to stifle religious and call it hate speech!

And this is in places like the USA, Canada, and Europe. Which is another reason to be on multiple platforms. …

Back in 1981, the old Worldwide Church of God correctly pointed out that it was:

THE MOST important work in the world cannot be done without freedom of the press!

What is that work?

It is the work of announcing that God will restore His Government to the whole earth! But before the Government of God is restored, it must first be announced! The good news of that announcement — the Gospel of the Kingdom of God — must be preached (Matthew 24:14) to all nations (Matthew 28:19). And the nations must choose whether they will want it or resist it.

In this day, God has made the MASS media available to accomplish His work. But reaching a mass audience with the good news of God’s soon-coming Government requires the freedom to PUBLISH. Notice Mark 13:10: “And the gospel must first be published among all nations.”

Further, God lays a special duty on his messenger and Church to publicly disseminate certain warnings to certain nations. Ezekiel 33:1-7 describes God’s charge upon the watchman. When the watchman sees “the sword” come upon the land — a prophetic symbol of military devastation — he must “blow the trumpet” or God will hold him personally responsible. …

Governmental Reaction

And yet while the Bible places a duty on God’s servants, it also warns that this world — even now and in the future — will not always allow the freedom to publish.

In the past a government’s excuse for persecution was that God’s message IS TOO DISTURBING to be allowed to circulate freely. …

In the New Testament, the authorities tried to prevent the apostles from preaching the Gospel. The apostles were forcibly brought before the council. The high priest asked them: “Did not we straightly command you that you should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine…” (Acts 5:28).

In other words, the civil and religious authorities were seeking to regulate the content of their message!

In response, the apostle Peter declared the firm rule that “we ought to obey God rather than men” (verse 29). Since Peter and company had a God-ordained duty to say what they were saying, the commands of the civil government of Jerusalem were in direct conflict with God’s.

For the future, the Bible prophecy reveals that the time will come when most of this world’s nations will be led by Satan to abolish freedom of the press — and all related freedoms. Why? To prevent any publishing of God’s message from reaching any substantial number of people!

`Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: and they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it” (Amos 8:11-12).

Elsewhere the Bible reveals how this prophesied press clampdown will take place. Revelation 13 describes a great religious-civil power that will arise in the place of the old Roman Empire. This prophesied power will not allow free speech, a free press or the free exercise of any religion — except the official religion of the state.

The Philadelphia portion of the Church of God did begin in the USA and its most faithful remnant, the Continuing Church of God, is still based out of the USA and we are proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom of God and other biblical truths.

Yet now, in the USA and especially out of it, we are seeing more and more calls for speech restrictions and censorship.

More censorship is coming.

The Bible teaches:

11 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God, That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the Lord. 12 They shall wander from sea to sea, And from north to east; They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord, But shall not find it. (Amos 8:11-12)

That does not mean that there will be no Bibles. But the time will come when those promoting various biblical teachings will no longer to be able to have access to the internet, etc. as before. We are seeing more and more of this.

Jesus said:

4 I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. (John 9:4)

7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: 8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. (Revelation 3:7-8)

As Philadelphia Christians, we do not give up when a door is closing–as we look out for others to be opened. In 2023, we greatly increased our radio presence around the world and have continued to be on multiple stations in 2024.

So far, radio is NOT subject to the type of censorship Big Tech and many governments around the world have been engaging in–despite the problems we faced.

As far as censorhip goes, expect more.

The Bible shows more restrictions are coming. European leaders also do not wish to hear prophecies.

They will arrange for the Two Witnesses of Revelation 11:1-15 to be killed.

But before that, consider that Jesus said:

4 … the night is coming when no one can work. (John 9:4, NKJV)

4… the night cometh, when no man can work (John 9:4 KJV)

In an October 23, 1980 co-worker letter, Herbert W. Armstrong wrote:

The Bible warns us the time is just ahead when NO MAN CAN WORK—in the Lord’s Work. We must sacrifice now as never before for this Work that we may FINISH the Work that Christ has called us to do. Pray as never before, for this Work.

In a November 22, 1982 co-worker letter, Herbert W. Armstrong wrote:

… brethren and co-workers, the prophesied Great Tribulation (nuclear World War III) will start soon after the European unification. That means OUR WORK OF SPREADING THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD WILL BE FINISHED! We have not now much more time. Soon shall come a FAMINE of hearing the Word of the Lord (Amos 8:11). God says, work while it is day, for the night is coming when no man can work – in the Work of God! Nothing else is important in our lives, now, but this all-important Work of God. So, the Bible tells of a time that will come when the word of God will not be found. And that would seem to be because it will be taken off the internet. In the 21st century, the internet is accessed by people in every country, and thus some type of internet restriction/suspension/site removal is coming.

Notice also:

9 That this is a rebellious people, Lying children, Children who will not hear the law of the Lord; 10 Who say to the seers, “Do not see,” And to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits. (Isaiah 30:9-10)

Europe has already taken steps to push Big Tech to remove speech it does not want to allow–its Digital Services Act is one that has already been threatened against Elon Musk (see also EU warns Elon Musk regarding Trump interview–X claims a billion related views and comments).

Notice also the following warning from the Bible:

15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:15-18)

The system above would seem to include monitoring of electronic communications to be sure that all will agree with, and worship, the Beast.

Plus, there has to be something consistent with electronic monitoring to control all buying and selling.

The technology to do so now exists.

The will to do so, by many governments (like the EU and even USA), companies (particularly Big Tech), and other organizations (like the WEF) is becoming more and more apparent.

As I have been warning for years, electronic monitoring, including AI, will be used for things like internet censorship–which is already happening. Elon Musk also raised concerns back in 2018 about where the use of AI could be heading. Artificial Intelligence and Prophecy

Billionaire Elon Musk declared he was worried that artificial intelligence (AI) may lead to the rise of an “immortal dictator,” a “godlike” entity that could take over the world. Is this accurate, or at least, close in some ways? Does Bible prophecy foretell of the rise of an immoral leader who considers himself above all gods? Will this result in great destruction? What is AI? How might it fit in with various prophecies? Was the increase in technological knowledge we now have prophesied over 2000 years ago? Will 666 control over buying and selling involve any form of AI? Dr. Thiel goes over many scriptures, including prophetic ones, that involve human knowledge–which is the basis of AI. He also points out that when various prophesies were made, there was no technology capable of fulfilling them, but that because of computers, such ability exists now. Dr. Thiel also points out what Jesus will do about it.

The UK is taking steps (e.g. UK wants to ban silent prayer near abortion clinics; EU wants to censor political opinions). And do not count on the USA to protect free speech in the future.

Restrictions on speech are already here and more restrictions are coming.

Do not place your confidence in any governments in this world, but in Jesus and the coming Kingdom of God.

“EU Commission urged to act over Elon Musk’s ‘interference’ in elections,” reads a recent headline from the British Guardian.

“EU politicians warn against Elon Musk’s incursions into European politics,” says an ABC News report.

“Elon Musk’s interference in national debates angers Europe’s leaders” warns a headline on Euro News.

In the last couple of weeks, Europe’s governing elites have been vociferously bemoaning Elon Musk’s alleged meddling in Europe’s political process. Amid the maelstrom of hysteria and accusations, however, it may be instructive to look at what Musk’s “interference” actually consists of.

The complainers have been mainly pointing to two of Elon’s recent transgressions:

In the first week of this year, Musk posted some documents from the UK government describing the shocking level and scope of sexual abuse of British girls by Muslim grooming gangs that have taken place over the last two decades. On January 9, Musk interviewed Alice Weidel, the co-chair of the German AfD. The AfD is the second most popular political party in Germany and is quickly rising in the polls even as we speak. These actions have caused European government officials to go apoplectic, crying foul and claiming that Musk’s deeds pose a dire threat to democracy.
