Thomason grunted, squinting at you for another long moment in consideration. Then he jerked his head towards the back. "Get changed out quick and meet me back here in 5. I'll get you started on prep and we'll see what you're made of. Don't keep me waiting."

"Yes, chef!" you responded immediately, wincing at how high your voice had gone up an octave.

Without another word, Thomason turned and strode back into the controlled chaos of the line, immediately redirecting his attention to sauces and garnishes. Letting out a shaky breath, you scurried towards the changing rooms, heart jackhammering.

Well, you were officially in the thick of things now...

You hustled back out to the kitchen, trying not to look frazzled from your rushed change. A young Hispanic line cook spotted you and waved you over to his station.

"You the newbie?" he asked, not unkindly. When you nodded, he jerked his head towards the walk-in refrigerator. "Thomason wants you to start by breaking down some of the produce delivery for prep."

"Got it, thanks," you replied, eager to prove yourself. The line cook gestured you through the door into the immense chilled walk-in.

You blinked as your eyes adjusted to the cold, taking in the sights and smells of the impressive stockpile. Shelves upon shelves were stocked with an array of fresh seasonal produce - crates bursting with leafy greens, bushels of root vegetables, flats of vibrantly colored tomatoes, exotic fruits, and mushroom varieties you had only read about.

Your culinary school had humble basics for ingredients, nothing like the bounty of locally-sourced, meticulously selected provisions that Haus Kitchen demanded. You felt a thrill at getting to work with such an extraordinary pantry.

Respirating clouds puffed from your mouth as you scanned the inventory tagging system. You had been taught similar protocols in your food safety courses, but there was something exhilarating about putting that knowledge into practice in a real professional environment.

"Not bad, kid," he rumbled. "Clearly know which end of a knife to use, at least. C'mon back out, got some protein fabrication for you to tackle next."

You diligently followed Thomason back out to the main kitchen, wiping some sweat from your brow with your sleeve. Despite the industrial cooling system, the heat blazing from the ovens and range tops made the open kitchen feel like a furnace.

As Thomason led you to a stainless steel butcher's block island, you couldn't help but gawk at the array of gleaming knives hanging from magnetic strips overhead. The blades were works of art - sleek, razor sharp, and clearly extremely expensive.

Gesturing you over, Thomason grabbed a boning knife and twirled it deftly before handing it to you. "Let's see how you handle breaking this down."

He gave the block a solid smack with his meaty palm, indicating for you to get started on the glistening slab of beef tenderloin before you. Taking a steadying breath, you gripped the bone-handled knife firmly and leaned over the cutting board.

"Yes chef," you murmured before carefully piercing the thick cut of meat, angling the blade with practiced precision from all your training.

Around you, the kitchen bustled with the usual rattling pans, sizzling ranges, and Thomason's occasional barked orders. But as you fell into the rhythm of deftly separating fat and sinew, the noises began to fade from your awareness.

You were completely focused on your knife work, confidently sawing through the tender flesh as you reduced the tenderloin down to portions and trimmings for other stations to further break down. It was meditative, almost hypnotic, the way you instinctively slid the blade along rendered paths of butchery.

You blinked, not trusting your ears for a moment before realizing with a jolt that Harry was very much real and quite close. Like, unnecessarily close for your over-stimulated brain to handle.

"Uh...I-I, um...th-thank you?" you croaked out, wanting to cringe at how lame you sounded. Get it together, this wasn't the time to geek out–you instructed yourself.

But Harry didn't seem to notice your fumbling, simply giving you a dimpled half-smile before reaching around you to snag a stray piece of trimming from the butcher's block. He inspected it contemplatively before popping it into his mouth, those plump lips wrapping obscenely around the bite as he chewed and ruminated with relish.

"Perfection," he declared after swallowing, shooting you another crooked grin like you were co-conspirators sharing an inside joke. With a subtle wink, Harry pivoted on his boot heel and sauntered off, whistling a jaunty tune.

As he retreated, you risked a glance down at his form-fitting trousers shamelessly admiring the way the fine fabric cupped the ample curves of his pert backside. Even at his age, Harry Styles had the muscle-toned body of a man decades younger - long, lean muscles taut under golden tanned skin.

You blinked hard and shook your head, annoyed at catching yourself ogling your new boss like a drooling fangirl. Pull it together! This was totally inappropriate and unprofessional. Dammit, you needed to get a grip! This kind of inappropriate crush on your employer was exactly the kind of silly, immature behavior that would make you look like a unprofessional joke in a serious kitchen environment. Blowing an opportunity like this was not an option.

Later, as you untied your apron strings and joined the team in breaking down the last stations for cleaning at closing, Thomason sidled up alongside you. You braced yourself for more of his typical gruff rebukes or criticisms.

Instead, the veteran chef simply gave you a long, considered look before saying gruffly, "You did good work today, kid. I can already tell you got the stuff to handle it around here if you keep your head down."

You blinked at him in surprise. "Wait...really? But he critiques everything! I feel like I've gotten nothing but corrections so far."

"Exactly." Harry's dimples flashed as he grinned. "That's how you know he sees potential in you. If Thomason didn't think you had what it took, he wouldn't waste his breath giving feedback. He'd just cut you loose and hire someone else to start over."

His words were like a soothing balm on the anxiety and self-doubt you'd been carrying around for the past couple of days. You hadn't realized that Thomason's critical approach was actually a twisted form of acceptance and mentorship. The revelation caused the hard knot of tension between your shoulder blades to finally release.

"Huh," you exhaled, unable to stop the small smile tugging at your lips as you finally understood Thomason's tough love. "I guess I should take that as a compliment then."

"Absolutely," Harry agreed with an approving nod. Then his expression softened around the edges, growing earnest as his gaze searched yours. "Look, I know it's a huge adjustment and the pace here can be absolutely brutal starting out. You felt yourself flush at his unexpected praise, your stomach fluttering with a swarm of nervous butterflies. Harry held your eyes for a lingering moment before seeming to mentally collect himself.

Clearing his throat, he flashed you one more crooked grin. "But don't take my word for it - the proof will be in your work. Stay focused and trust the process. I've got faith you can handle it."

With that, he brushed past you, his shoulder grazing yours in a way that made your entire body buzz with friction. As Harry sauntered off down the hallway, you couldn't stop yourself from turning to watch his retreating form - the easy, rolling gait, the tantalizing sway of his hips below the slim cut of his trousers, the tousled waves of his chestnut hair.

So anyways for your reading today I feel like Spirit is wanting to draw attention to maybe some addictions, self sabotage is what I heard while shuffling the cards. I feel this heavy energy of someone purposely messing up their own blessings in a way I feel like maybe someone's stuck in this very heavy energy but also not really doing anything about it? Like maybe you know something's not good for you, maybe it's a connection or even a job that's tiring you out, it's something along those lines but you just can't stop it, you know? I heard someone needs to do an energy cleanse! I heard take some time off. Maybe someone's drowning themselves in something like studying too much, there's something about over doing something. Someone could have very curly hair here.

So I'm hearing here someone should take the time off and do something fun, relax a little. I think there's a message here also of feeling like you haven't done enough of something and you're obsessing about it mentally a lot and spirit is saying just take a little break from it and endulg in something else, something that makes you happy and makes you feel like you, you know? Even if it's just taking a walk while listening to your favorite music or maybe reading your favorite book and watching your favorite movie, you know? So with the six of coins here I'm also getting a message of like you've worked really hard already and you've done a great job honestly it's okay to rest and not be perfect already already, Rome wasn't built in a day I'm hearing!

So right away I'm picking up a message of not seeing the bigger picture, this pile feels more like a "How to Manifest more quicker" lol. I'm hearing this very slow moving energy, someone refusing to move on to the next chapter though you might be aware it's time to even but I'm getting a sense of fear. While he’s still trending, this is your sign to explore Kendrick’s discography. He’s so much bigger than this beef with Drake (and the “beef” is so much bigger than “he hates Drake!” but I’m hoping we all know that by now). Here’s some ideas on where to start:

The GNX album has incredible range . From hype tracks like “Tv off” to the introspection of “reincarnated”. It’s a 10/10 (literally). If you only have the energy for one album, this is a solid pick. It’s a good way to sample what he’s about and see where he’s heading.

After that… I mean for me it’s gotta be Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers. How do I even explain this? People who were surprised by “Meet The Grahams” had CLEARLY never heard “Mother I Sober”. This album will leave you staring at the void in stunned silence. It’ll make you feel empty inside but like… in an addicting way. It’s a masterpiece. If you’re intimidated by the number of songs, I would AT LEAST hear “United in Grief” and “mother I sober”. (Drake directly referenced “mother I sober” in his track “family matters”. He aimed low while ALSO misinterpreting the story like a fucking clown. Embarrassing af lol.)

2015-To Pimp a Butterfly. Depending on who you ask, this is Kendrick’s best work, and uh… yeah it’s hard to disagree. This is Kendrick in his element. A brutally honest examination of racism and violence wrapped in some of his most aggressive vocals to date (and I mean he LITERALLY uses so much growl on these tracks). But the MUSIC is…. chill? It’s also varied as hell. It’s an evening of slam poetry backed by smooth jazz. Then he’ll hit you with a slick guitar riff and some panicked breathing into the mic. The album is crucial to understanding Kendrick as an artist. Picking standouts on this one feels stupid (and everybody has a different opinion) but “Alright” and “King Kunta” are classics. “I”, “How much a dollar cost”, “you ain’t gotta lie”, “the blacker the berry”…. I’m just gonna end up listing every song. I’m also a fan of the“for free-interlude” lol. Oh and “Mortal Man”. I honestly don’t think there are any skippable tracks on this one. Just let it flow.

His 2017 album DAMN was a major success, and was how I got into Kendrick. If high school parking lots came with an OST, “HUMBLE” would’ve been our Green Hill Zone. Idk if that made any sense. Point is, it was popular as fuck. “DNA” was another huge hit. The album sounds edgy and hyped, but the lyrics are an invitation for the audience to like… choose his fate. It’s all about judgement day. Growth, reconciliation, criticism of fame. It’s a shame that it got reduced to “omg humble is a banger!!”. The fact that Uncle Sam shouted at Kendrick to “TIGHTEN UP!” And he performed HUMBLE in response... Damn.

2011- good kid, m.A.A.d city. “Money trees” is a classic with a super chill beat. And the metaphor of “planting money trees” has become a huge part of his identity. Representing his literal desire to share the wealth with his community, and his desire to stay true to his roots. It was ALSO something Drake dissed him for “failing” to do (though his record of philanthropy says otherwise). The titular songs “good kid” and “m.A.A.d city” are iconic. “Swimming Pools” is often cited as his first big hit. Side note: The album cover featured a van (I think it was a Chrysler?) that became a symbol of Kendrick’s career. and Drake fucking destroyed it in one of his music videos. Bitch.

There’s so much. He also has a series of 6 songs called “the heart” that usually drop before a new album. He has a ton of other albums that I didn’t even mention because this post is way too long. I know I skipped a lot of bangers so please let me know about them. Also this post 100% assumes everyone has heard “6:16 in LA”, “Euphoria”, “meet the grahams” and “not like us” because… I mean come on. Ok that’s all. happy listening!

Okay, so live action superhero movies haven't been my jam for a few years now. My dwindling embers were practically exinguished, One-For-All-style, with Infinity War and the DCEU has been basically a trash heap (Birds of Prey was pretty good, Suicide Squad was okay to put on while doing chores, but the mainstream stuff, ugh). But I have to say, with the Superman trailer that dropped today, there is hope. Obviously, this is early, we know nothing concrete, and trailers can lie. But this looks like the first great Superman movie in decades. There is a distinct patterning -- and yet modernizing -- of the immortal Superman from 1978, and I am here for it.

Superman 1978 font, John Williams' iconic musical theme: check. (Also, drops on my birthday, nice.)

"No fucks to give" reporter Lois Lane: check. I have no idea who Rachel Brosnahan is, but she absolutely appears to capture what I would expect Margot Kidder's Lois Lane to be in 2025.

"Slightly goofy, mild-mannered reporter" Clark Kent: check. The posture, the non-cool hair, the expression, the just-slightly-off suit. They actually manage to nail it in a way that even Henry Cavill (whom I greatly respect for being a fan and wanting an authentic Superman) couldn't. Look at this guy. There's no way he could be Superman. (Unlike many movies, his hair does seem to change when he becomes Superman.)

Close ties to the adoptive family that give him the humanity and ideals he strives for instead of the philosophy of Jor-El? Check. A 64-year-old Pruitt Taylor Vince is an interesting choice for Johnathan Kent. In the 1978 film, Glenn Ford was a strong, masculine figure (despite his age) who nevertheless raised Clark on the concepts of being helpful, gentle, not showing off his powers, not crushing everyone else. But here, Johnathan is visibly aged, overweight, balding, frail and all the more imperfect. He is weak and inferior to Clark in seemingly every way except presumably his humanity.

Okay, so their Lex Luthor is not going to be Gene Hackman. That's okay, Hackman was a great Luthor for the Superfriends era, but in today's age, hokey aloofness is not what we expect. Much like the Joker, Luthor also evolves with the times. This one is driven by wealth sure, but also he just hates Superman with a passion. Nicholas Hoult (Nux from Fury Road and Beast in the modern X-Men movies) might just be able to pull it off.

Note that while this Lex appears much more serious, according to Wikipedia they're bringing back Miss Tessmacher and Otis, two of Lex's associates from the 1978 and 1980 films.

I expect a significant story moment will be Luthor using his wealth and influence to turn the public against Superman, possibly through ploys like Lexor City where Superman was tricked into destroying an energy-producing device and damaging the city in the process.

Oh, and this Luthor-Superman rivalry? Ties into something else really exciting about this movie: All Star Superman, one of the all-time great Superman stories. There are clearly elements of that story contained within this, from what looks like the threat of a Sun-Eater to Superman's robots falling in battle. And while I'd rather they did a full-on All-Star story instead of just putting little bits and pieces in here, we should take what we can get.

All-in-all, this seems like a great modern retelling of a movie that I still enjoy to this day despite its obvious cheesiness and near-camp at times. I've actually a tiny bit excited.

BONUS POINTS: they're obviously willing to have fun with the franchise despite the obvious seriousness of a murderous Luthor and border conflicts in impoverished countries. Because they're including Kypyto the Superdog:

Thought process below!

Kuras: ok, I feel like kuras is the biggest heavy hitter stat wise. Given that he's literally an angel, my guess is that he is very very strong. He also is hundreds of years old and is experienced with healing and .. politics? Certainly knowledge about Eridia. That means that he gets high wisdom too. Moderate useless facts because I'm sure that he's picked up plenty of info during his years in the mortal realm, but he also doesn't care about a lot of things so it can't be higher. Self loathing to the max bc he either hates what he did to get him trapped on Earth, or hates that he got caught. Obviously things didn't go according to plan for him, so luck is moderate.

Vere: he's a bit harder bc he's chained, so that limits him. I debated putting his strength at a three, as he's pretty limited, but he's also a very impressive killer - possibly more so than a regular "human" killer- or else the Senobium wouldn't find him as useful. He's afraid of Kuras's true form, and so to me that says he's weaker. Despite all of his teasing and jokes, he knows a lot of things and has a good read on the world, so his wisdom should be pretty high imo. Useless facts are moderate because he has very narrow things that he enjoys learning about (sex, music, tea..). He loves himself but I also think bitterly rues the day that he was caught, so moderate self loathing. He strikes me as fairly lucky inherently- he just pushes things further and further because of his personality, which overwhelms his natural luck.

Ais: TBH I feel like vere and Ais are comparable strength, and Ais and Leander are comparable strength, so .. they all end up at 4?^^; as they're all weaker than Kuras but stronger than Mhin. For luck- it's honestly a gamble about whether Ais made a huge mistake and doomed his gang (unlucky) OR - Sacrificed them somehow, landed a deal with a God, and now has a lot of cult followers(more lucky). Wisdom- pretty low. Ais seems to have some intuition but seems more focused on fighting first and asking questions later. Self loathing is low-i feel like he's accepted himself and the choices he's made, though in the past he may have deeply regretted them. Facts- he finds it endearing when others tell him about facts, but doesn't care about them himself and even when others tell him, he enjoys how animated they get, rather than the actual facts.

Leander: without his magic, I'd place his strength at a three. But given that his magic allows him to withstand MC's curse (and make flowers !!woot) it brings his strength up to a four^^. I feel like he is SO LUCKY because 1) he was born into wealth and power, and got a good education 2) due to his scars and rebirth icons, may have survived death, which is prettty lucky if you ask me. Wisdom- he has a good sense of how people think and act, but not that much wisdom past that. Self loathing- I think Leander thinks he's hot shit LOL Useless facts - Leander strikes me as the type of person who's always remembering details other people tell him (and seeking out more info) so that he can form connections, get to know people and get more power. He's also formally educated and probably had rich people tutoring growing up. So, useless facts is pretty high!

I saw your post about the Henna Night, hope it's ok for this comment from a Palestinian living in Diaspora who spent her child/teen/young lady years living in Palestine. Every village/city/family in Palestine of course does things a little different than others, this is my own experiences from going to like 100 weddings, lmao. Imo there is simply no Wedding like a Palestinian Wedding, it's the cultural backbone of our society gatherings. I personally hate when people compare a Henna Night to a Bridal Shower bc it's not interchangeable at all, but I acknowledge that westernization as well as accommodation's of Palestinians living in Diaspora has lead to people comparing Henna Night/Bridal Showers and have interjected Bridal Shower stuff into our tradition. Imo Henna Night is way more fun than the actual Wedding, I always loved going to those more. So the Bride's side of the family prepares for the Henna Night by inviting close family, friends, and usually women from the Groom's side as well. The Bride's family spends the day before or the day of the Henna Night preparing Henna Platters. As well as small bags of candy & small bags/cones of Henna paste as things to give to guests. Depending on the wealth of the family sometimes there more stuff but those are the main things, but usually there is always something to give the guests like tea, coffee, sodas, and sweets. During the Henna everyone wears Thobes, it's so beautiful to see the different styles of our Thobes. The Bride looks so beautiful in a Thobe/Headdress, I love it. The Bride's family also prepare platters of Henna decorated with flowers that (usually) the old woman/matriarchs will have the honor of carrying it on their heads (some dance without holding onto the platters with their hands! so iconic) as the women dance in a circle around the Bride. The grandmothers, or whichever woman with a good strong voice who Zagreet (idk how to do transliteration) but its singing where the lead singer will call out lines like "Heeyee this girl is the most beautiful in the world! Heeyeee we have come to celebrate her happiness! Heeyyeee may Allah's blessings fall upon this most gracious girl!" the lines are always made up on the spot so the singer has to have a sharp mind, the singer will also make up lines singing about the Bride, her smarts, beauty, personality, her generosity, or the generosity of her family, compliments to the Bride's mother, etc. These are always ended with the Ululation (trilling sound) that all women make at the end. During the Henna Night there's lots of singing, dancing, music playing, it always takes place at the Bride's Mother's house so its just such a cozy feeling of womanhood/family & bringing in the women of the new groom's family into the circle. Old women sitting on cushions/chairs with their canes, someone has a tubla (hand drum) & is playing, little girls in their thobes running around, teens showing off their thobes, the Bride's family, sisters, cousins, aunts, serving sweets & drinks, the Bride being celebrated. yeah the bridal shower is not a great analogy because bridal showers in like the us are... not at all a celebration i feel like of the women the same way henna night is. you're right weddings are the cultural backbone in a way that i think a lot of nonpalestinians dont realize because of how many traditions they use throughout the whole ordeal.

Which animals would fit the Creation-Destruction duality better in Miraculous?

Ok this is a little funny as I was just ranting away on Discord about how, through all my research on various animals covering myth, folklore, symbolism, ect.; in comparison to all I found, Ladybug was really kinda boring to pick as an important animal to follow and to be so major in the narrative.

At the core of it, it comes down to love, luck, and divinity (either as God's servant or God's cow). Through divinity you could tie LB to Creation, as God's often a creator, but even then, more often it's more divine intervention that actually creating. So between the two, Ladybug is the easier one to push out as the Miraculous Creator.

There's a few Miraculous in canon that could've worked for Creation.

Bee can easily fit out of the 5.

Bees are heavily tied to life. They help plants grow and thrive, which in turn helps with our survival, they build up their hive and community, and create honey that has healing qualities. Why, in Greek myth, honey is tied to Ambrosia, the nectar of the gods. And while bees are tied to order, they're also known to be adaptable. Alongside cats, bees are one of the animals that recognize there's a gain to working with humans (I believe they're the only animal that will straight up unionize if with an unfit beekeeper, straight up leaving them to go elsewhere).

Bees are also tied to the artistic side of creation, not just builders and crafting honey, but through their ties to Apollo, specifically the music aspect of him, where you have bees that hum and they waggle (dance). Creation you can also tie to interconnection with life that bees also echo, their whole thing is about being a big community that works together; they're also thought to be tied to the souls of the deceased, in Greece bees are thought to escort souls to the afterlife (and have made beehive tombs), and in Celtic culture, I've read they'll tell bees about their day and bees will deliver messages to passed on loved ones to keep them updated.

Bee probably really is my top pick for the alternative for Creation, cause so much clicks, so canon's direction with it made me very disappointed.

Of the Zodiac, that's Dragon and Rabbit.

The Chinese dragon is the opposite of the western, not just being a source of benevolence, but also being a creator, source of life, wisdom, bringers of fortune, and protection. There's a myth that dragons created paper and taught humans how to read and write, dragons would bring rain to water crops and feed life, and they will clash with the chaos bringing tiger to keep order, cresting a yin-yang balance in their fight, making equilibrium between order and chaos.

Rabbit in turn is tied to artistry and life. There is the Moon Rabbit who crafts the Elixir of Life; Celts tied rabbits to Eostre the goddess of spring, which potentially inspired the Easter Bunny, a bringer of food, fun, and new beginnings. And of course, rabbits are tied to creating a lot of life.

Of my OC Miraculous, that'd be Spider.

Spiders are the artisans of the animal world, creating webs, and inspiring weavers. They heavily represent interconnection and life (Indra's Web is the most iconic), and are tied to various creation myths and gods, like the Egyptian goddess Neith (creation, fate, weaving, destiny; mother of Ra, creator of the universe); and Grandmother Spider from Native American culture.

Honorable mentions, not having as much to them to really fit Creation:

Peafowl is tied to the Hindu goddess Saraswati who is tied to: knowledge, music, flowing water, abundance and wealth, art, speech, wisdom, and learning

Bull/Ox was thought to help teach humans how to farm and feed themselves, and helped ever since

The World Turtle who supports all life

Snake is a dual symbol of life and death, and thought to be a bringer of rain in some cultures; they're also tied to a Chinese creator deity Nuwa; snakes are also tied to various trees of life

For Destruction, Cat does work fine. Over all, cats are more tied to protection, magic, and love (especially maternal). But cats are efficient hunters, are chaotic, destructive, and unpredictable. So it's not a stretch for Cat to be Destruction, and Cataclysm does work for the pun too.

But there are other options that can work too.

Of the 5, Fox wouldn't be a stretch for it at all. While iconic for it's trickery, foxes are destroyers of order, control, and security, and some can lead to destruction of life. Tricking their enemies to death, devastating livestock; there are myths of eastern foxes possessing others and destroying livelihoods, devouring their life energy; foxes are also often tied to fire, which can be a devastating element.

Of the Zodiac...

Tiger is easily can fit, it has a more destructive association than Cat, being tied to danger, aggression, chaos, and war.

If Dragon is meant to represent all dragons, then it can apply for Destruction as well.

Snake can apply as it can be a devastating animal through venom, they're tied to death and vengeance, also snakes inspired a lot of villainous dragons (Python, Hydra, Nidhogg, sea serpents, wyverns, wyrms, cockatrice, basilisk); there's the devastating Medusa, and Ouroboros is tied to cycles of self-destruction.

Of the OC Miraculous...

There's Owl and Raven which are often a harbingers of death and are an ominous symbol. They're also tied to war.

Wolf is another promising one, as most myth and folklore ties it to villainy and destruction, the iconic Big Bad Wolf, who devastates livestock, and are known to be hungry and devouring.

At fifteen, she was scouted by a super famous company that even offered to pay her family to get her to join. She joined the company and was known as the Ice Princess trainee for her cold personality, and some trainees were even scared of her. In 2019, she auditioned on I-Doll and ranked #7 and debuted as a Vocalist & the Maknae of VIVACE on September 17, 2019, and in Cateye on December 11, 2019, as the Main Vocalist & Maknae. The Vermin Wood is a place of towering snags, riddled with holes, carved with their own esoteric tongues, the the ground moldering with the burrows of insects, centuries ago a king had promised his people 100 years of prosperity, he kept his promise, so did the rot and it was patient The Incarnadine Vault A scholar became obsessed with hidden knowledge, but he feared something watching him, and so he had a vault made to protect himself, his research, and wealth, painted to hide him from the yellow watching eyes, the poison paint was his end, the pigment in its heart is rotting to yellow

the Scintillating Barrows are tombs filled with mirrors and crystal and once a year the sun hits them just right to make them all glow brightly, it is said that if you visit on that day you can see the spirits of the dead walk again ethereal

The Grave of the Flutists is a cemetery looking burial ground that actually has hidden winding catacombs beneath, the gravesite of a group of flute playing monks, even in death they have flutes pressed against their lips, no mater where you are in the tunnels you will always hear a faint playing, either from a high above shelf or within the heavy earth

The Isle of the Beast Cult is controlled by the eponymous cult they worship an ancient cave beast that lived among people there once they wear fabric cloaks resembling the fur of a beast complete with ears and tail and spots, they have their own breed of holy magic derived from their god

Village of Arsenikessers is a mining village built into mountains of toxic rock no outsider would dare touch, the miners are known for their strange vitality and slightly off appearances, but otherwise friendly nature, their minerals are known for their purity the land over

The Resounding Depths an outcropping permeated by deep bore holes, what created them is a mystery, ancient alchemist mining for materials?, or possibly legendary serpents of old? The only hint of their natures is a faint song half between natural and musical, as a crickets shrill cry from under creaking ice, a faint instrument droning. apothecaries come from far to lower jars and vials to the depths, and collect the fluid that distills therein. It imparts a soporific effect, and stranger still the memory of the song. The God Rot Field is a place where long ago a great hero learned gods could be wounded, even killed. Though they never truly stop existing at least not for an incredibly long time. Mold silver-gold spills out from the scraps of torn flesh and effluvia endlessly rotting and growing all the same. Occult tokens and wards have since halted the progress but not before it claimed a large swathe of land. The Silvering Fen was once the home of a powerful witch, upon death at the hands of a cruel hero, they cursed their lands: a denaturing and thinning of the world, a paleness. And every plant and animal therein would be shining a fickle silver, one that stained that hero as he left, leaving footsteps of blossoming silver leaf. When he arrived home, he was faint and weak, his shock of hair now silvered, and so none believed who he was. At the center still stand the shining ruins of a once great tower, some say there is still a relic of power there. Pool of the Legless Ones An old temple lays rotting, the entrance to an ancient flooded cavern, the water squirms and boils faintly with long slimy things said to be the precursors of all the beasts and all of man. It is said they will share their wisdom if provided with an icon of your devotion. Home of The Tallow Thief An unassuming shack stands perched on a crooked hill, home to the tallow thief, who once stole from the new gods themselves, now an aging mentor to those who move too quietly. His nickname came from his last heist, a cask of heavenly wax, boiled from the flesh of an old god, the very kind that forms the candles that light the halls of the heavens. The Caliginous Divide A great crevasse in which swirling dark mists rush forth blinding all but the most devout. an ancient bridge of peerless construction spans the length, part of a relic of a forgotten pilgrimage. Traders or other travelers have been exploring the route for centuries, they have found ways to honor to forgotten beings that allow them to pass without too much difficulty. The Point of Exaltation Rocky badlands of unparalleled splendor crowned by a grand mount. The winding pilgrims path climbs among the stones up to the peak. Against the view of the vantage, kneels a small stone figure, arms outstretched towards the sky as if receiving water. The figure is headless, though a heavy green star rests on its shoulders during the solstice. The Hungering Copse In the ages before the regal gods people were drawn to the hollow in the world at the center of the copse. They made yearly pilgrimages as birds should do, offering their company to the twisting trees. However, eventually their faiths found new paths and eventually they ventured into the forest less and less. Now any poor soul who wanders inside the shaded boughs becomes lost in faerie reverie, until they become thin and faint.

The Narrow Dens long ago beasts gathered in the shaded valleys, but as soon as the first god of dawn shined, the creatures were forced to refuge in the crags. They slid so kindly through the crevices, and overtime became accustomed to the tight spaces. One such beast, the thin wolves are recognized by their eerily long legs. Ages ago, a lone hermit frequented the area, he learned to get them to favor him, so that he may walk in peace and without fear in his heart. The tranquility found him completing his great work, and after he died and was recognized as a prophet, the thin wolves always accompanied him in carvings.

The Crawling Bog An uninhabited bog, soft wet mossy earth, gives way to shaded groves, all held aloft the eye of an old god of fervor, ever staring at the sky. The perimeter is marked with numerous stone and wooden arches worn. and through compulsion of tradition, a funeral procession must pass consecrating the ground around it. They drive a great charnel-hearse, and carry bushels of bronze blades or other items, which at intervals, are plunged into the earth with fastidious devotion. Some brave members seek to retrieve them after centuries, blessed by the gods emanations, that verdigris of unearthly temperance.
