Mushrooms.

It's always a good time to celebrate mushrooms. But perhaps there has never been such a time as good as this Saturday, October 7. A vegetable for every season and, we would assert, a god-tier produce.

Spaghetti? Check. Curries? Check. Soups? Check. Sandwiches? Check. Cold, warm, fried, roasted, whole, sliced... there is nothing they cannot do. No meal they cannot improve. Gather round the comforting glow of the #mushroom campfire this weekend.

What's your favorite edible mushroom? What's your favorite distinctly INedible mushroom?

Ok this was definitely adhd bait and I don’t know if you did this on purpose but if you did IT WORKED 😂 bc I just got stuck looking up mushrooms for quite a while even tho I was already hungry and knew I needed to eat.

And btw I’m writing this now and still not making food I HOPE YOURE HAPPY 😂😂😂😁

My favourite mushroom is the fairy ring mushroom bc they’re super tasty and I like the way they grow.

I’ve been mushroom foraging a few times now, but I haven’t considered my favourite inedible mushroom.

That’s how I got stuck on Google reminding myself. Turns out you can eat some puffballs and even the ink cap which is a super cool mushroom (but not with alcohol).

Basically, a lot of my other favourite mushrooms aren’t that toxic it turns out. So I don’t have an answer and I may starve before I do!

when i was a kid the first meme i was ever exposed to was “badger badger badger mushroom mushroom”.  i was 4 or 5 years old and didn’t understand the concept of looping audio files, so i thought that when you had the badger badger badger mushroom mushroom webpage open, there was a band somewhere playing the song over and over.  i wondered if they ever got tired
