when i was a kid the first meme i was ever exposed to was “badger badger badger mushroom mushroom”.  i was 4 or 5 years old and didn’t understand the concept of looping audio files, so i thought that when you had the badger badger badger mushroom mushroom webpage open, there was a band somewhere playing the song over and over.  i wondered if they ever got tired

the badger song was literally the theme song of the Ireland backpacking trip I did with three friends in 2010. We would adapt the song to any kind of lyrics that came to our minds including the extremely nonsensical lyrics we composed in honor of the cheapness of the Lidl and the Aldi ( which were the only places we could buy groceries without completely blowing our poor uni student budget)... it was closely followed by Charlie the unicorn which I hated because it gave me the heebie-jeebies...

wrt to that last ask. I completely agree about the no official confirmation thing.

As far as I can tell at this stage, all the fans that are assuming it's official, are doing so because if rumour and Daniel's demeanour on Sunday post race.

But I keep coming back to one moment on the weekend. I can't remember whether it was Friday or Saturday. But it is that journo who took Helmut's comment out of context and told Daniel that Helmut said publicly that the only way for him to keep his seat was to out the vcarb on the podium. Which, impossible right?

But Helmut was asked to comment on Daniel's Thursday quip about the podium, and said yes that would definitely help. But he cannot have been serious about it, not fully at least, because vcarb.

So given all the noise and constant hammering Daniel was getting, then being told Helmut's basically signed your death in the media, I can only imagine what that would do your perception of job security right?

Add to all that the honour guard or whatever, that people are reporting as the whole team, which was actually his friends who were there and some random team members who would have been outside of hospitality anyway. Which I interpreted immediately as a show of support, and was surprised when everyone else didn't.

So I haven't really been taking Daniel's rough post race stuff, or his friends support, as any indication of anything. And maybe that's wrong, but we really can't know until official word. Sorry for the long dump, it's just that ask and your response struck something un me. And I'm hanging onto that hope with a death grip!
