Sit with me by the fireside. Tell me;
(* It can only fetch you five coins per day, although, that's still five coins.)
Each has their benefits: a cat that can reliably spy, a dog that brings you riches, a bird that allows you to communicate with anyone, and a frog that could get you out of some tough situations. It's your choice, fellow adventurers. What would you pick?

there are plenty of other mcrp projects that i will enjoy in the future and many creators whose content i will adore but the big reason qsmp hit so hard for me was the multilingual aspect, and nothing else will really manage to capture that. even when more multilingual servers happen, they won't have the same spark that qsmp started with, the same insane passion and community and love, the same novelty. but i'm so proud of all the doors that qsmp opened and all the opportunities that will continue after it, and i hope that every single person who worked on it and every creator who was on it knows what an incredible thing they helped to create and what connections they managed to inspire.

I downloaded a new app for learning German because Duolingo actually started driving me insane and I know it’s the jump from most used nouns to just generally whatever nouns they felt like putting on here… But 242 feels a little excessive for one section. Can we not pace this a little slower please? This is just scary 😂.

I need to know what tickle talk is like in other languages for...reasons.
So far I know:
Kille Kille (German, literally means kill)
Guili Guili (French. Tickle tickle)
Gouzi-Gouzi (French. Gouge out)
And I need MOAR.
Also I freaking love how so far, other languages seem to relate tickling to something dangerous, and I'm thriving off that fact.

lets play a game
i love love love qsmp and I love seeing all these different languages but, as a native english speaker, it's getting a bit monolingual in here, so let's shake it up a bit!!
Find a qsmp post you like, art, meta, whatever, and leave a comment on it or tag in a language you are not fluent in. ideally choose one of the languages in the qsmp, but I know some of you are frighteningly multilingual, so i leave it up to your discretion.
See someone reply to one of your posts in a language you don't know? Try to respond to them in kind! how long can you keep a convo going? how many words can you learn? can you make that artist happy-cry with sentence fragments alone?
reblog this post to spread the game, then hunt through the notes or the qsmp tag for your very first target! have fun and happy language-ing

Hc that John and Ella think exclusivity in concepts (rather than words or even images) because their telepathy has taught them to. I think everyone probably has a different signature when it comes to how they think and there’s a lot of variety in people’s thought processes so it’s easiest for them to communicate via concepts and that trains them to think that way all the time. Nine probably does this too to some extent because of his telepathy with animals, but I feel like he uses telepathy less frequently than John (John lives with BK it’s not hard) or Ella (love that girl but she’s got a tendency to…overstep)
This presents a problem when they have to translate those concepts into words. This leads to some pretty funny strings of words as they try to find the right ones. Sometimes they are straight up at a loss for words because they can’t find the right ones and there have even been miscommunications because they used odd wording.
And then throw being polyglots on top of that…
