Gleeson is an incredibly sexy man whose clean-shaven for most roles, but can grow an impressively thick gray, reddish beard within seconds. He can play the fiddle and has a nice gruff voice.

He has been married since 1982 and they have four sons; two of whom are actors (Domhnall Gleeson and Brian Gleeson). So I’m going to assume he’s not gay, but wishing he was. And if he was, you know he’d be a versatile top. A genuinely perfect daddy.
A perfect ginger daddy.

Doctor Sleep: O Stephen King... ξαναχτυπά!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Μερικά από τα έργα του που «μεταφέρθηκαν» στον κινηματογράφο είναι: The Shinning (1980), The Dead Zone (1983), Pet Sematary (1989, 1992 και 2019), It (2017 και 2019), Needful Things (1993), Misery (1990). Εκτός από τον κινηματογράφο πολλά έργα του Stephen King τα συναντούμε και στη μικρή οθόνη. Κάποια από αυτά τα έργα είναι: The Shinning (TV miniseries 1997), The Dead Zone (TV series 2002), It (TV miniseries 1990), The Outsider (σειρά που δρομολογείται από τηλεοπτικό δίκτυο HBO), Mr. Mercedes (TV series 2017).

Every Upcoming Stephen King Movie After IT Chapter Two
Tumblr media
IT Chapter 2 is the second movie of 2019 to be based on the work by legendary author Stephen King, but it won't be the last. For decades, King's novels have been the focus of dozens and dozens of movies, TV shows, and miniseries, and that trend shows no signs of slowing down in the coming years.
King's first novel to get the movie adaptation treatment was Carrie back in 1976. It was an absolute hit was horror fans, and filmmakers stuck to King's prolific body of work for new projects. Next up was The Shining in 1980, followed by heavy hitters like Creepshow, Cujo, and Children of the Corn. There were also TV projects such as Salem's Lot, IT, and The Stand. These adaptations continued for the next three decades and counting.
Related: IT Chapter Two Review: A Satisfying End To Stephen King's Story
Andy Muschietti's IT was a monumental hit in 2017 and it got studios and producers turning their heads back to King's work. Some decided to take a chance at reimagining some of his more popular books while others dove deeper into his lesser-known novellas. It will be a mix of old and new for fans of King with the multitude of projects on tap. That said, here all of the Stephen King movies coming after IT Chapter 2.
Tumblr media
The 2012 novella from King and his son, Joe Hill, will be making its way to Netflix in October. The movie adaptation for In the Tall Grass was announced in May 2018. Vincenzo Natali (Splice) signed on to direct the film shortly after the project was greenlit by the streaming service. Actor James Marsden was originally attached to the lead role but due to scheduling conflicts, Patrick Wilson was then cast. He will be joined by Laysla De Oliveira, Harrison Gilbertson, Avery Whitted, and Rachel Wilson.
In the Tall Grass follows a pair of siblings that hear a young boy crying for help in a large field of grass. They enter the field to find the boy but they soon find that there is no way out. The horror tale was originally written as a two-part series for Esquire magazine but it has since been adapted to e-book and audiobook form. Before the film's Netflix release, it will have its world premiere at Fantastic Fest in September 2019.
Tumblr media
Doctor Sleep, the book that served as a sequel to The Shining, was published by King in 2013. Warner Bros. had interest in the sequel novel but they didn't fast track the idea until the box office success of 2017's IT. Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House) was then hired to direct the film. Doctor Sleep will serve as a direct adaptation but Flanagan promised that it would exist in the same universe that Stanley Kubrick created with The Shining movie. The cast of the sequel includes Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson, Kyliegh Curran, Carl Lumbly, Alex Essoe, Cliff Curtis, and Jacob Tremblay.
Related: Why A "Dead" Character From The Shining Returns In Doctor Sleep
Doctor Sleep centers on Dan Torrance, now an adult that still suffers from the trauma that he experienced as a child at the Overlook Hotel. He tries to live a peaceful life but his life is turned upside down when he meets a teenage girl who shares the same psychic powers. The girl finds Dan in the hopes that he will help her with Rose the Hat and The True Knot, a group that preys on people with powers to gain immortality. Doctor Sleep opens October 30 worldwide and November 8 in the United States.
Tumblr media
King's 2011 novella Mile 81 will be heading to the screen with production planned for fall 2019. The announcement came in February 2019, revealing that Alistair Legrand is set to direct the supernatural thriller. The movie will also be produced by Ross M. Dinerstein, who previously worked on the Netflix adaptation of King's 1922. The story about a sinister station wagon was later featured in the 2015 short story collection, The Bazaar of Bad Dreams. Casting for the feature film is currently underway.
Tumblr media
In April, New Line Cinema announced their plans to adapt King's 1975 novel, Salem's Lot, for the big screen. Gary Dauberman is attached to write the script while James Wan (Aquaman) signed on to produce the feature film. As of now, there's no word on who will direct or star in the movie. The horror novel followed a writer named Ben Mears who traveled back to his hometown of Jerusalem's Lot (known as Salem's Lot for short) and found that everyone who once knew turned into a vampire. Salem's Lot was the focus of a TV movie in 1979 and a miniseries in 2004.
Tumblr media
King released The Long Walk in 1979 under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. It was notably the first novel that King wrote but he didn't release it until he was an established author. The Long Walk was set in a dystopian future ruled by a totalitarian dictator. The story centered on an annual walking contest where participants could be shot dead if they don't keep up their speed. George A. Romero had an interest in adapting the novel in the late '80s but it never came into fruition. In April 2018, New Line Cinema officially announced their plans to adapt the story into a movie. In late May 2019, André Øvredal signed on as director.

In April 2019, Legendary Pictures announced their intent to adapt King's 2003 short story, Rest Stop. The tale, written for an issue of Esquire, focused on a man who intervened during a domestic dispute at a rest stop. Alex Perry Ross (Her Smell) has been confirmed to write and direct the feature film. Ross is expected to keep his script close to the source material by featuring a cat-and-mouse thriller. It was also revealed that some of the characters could be gender-swapped.

George A. Romero was reportedly planning on developing a movie based on King's 1999 novel, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon but plans fell apart prior to the director's death. In August 2019, it was announced that the wife of the legendary director, Chris Romero, was taking on the project with Roy Lee (IT) and Jon Berg. The story followed a young girl who got lost in the woods during a hike. She wandered alone for nine days and due to the severe dehydration, she hallucinated, thinking she was talking to her idol, baseball player Tom Gordon. The young girl also thought she was being followed by a supernatural monster. The production team is currently searching for a writer and director for The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon film.

Firestarter - King's popular 1980 novel, Firestarter, is set to get another big-screen adaptation. The novel was previously adapted for a film in 1984. Drew Barrymore notably starred as the young girl with pyrokinetic abilities. The remake is coming from Universal and Blumhouse with Faith Akin set to direct. There have been no further details since the June 2018 announcement.
The Tommyknockers - King's 1987 sci-fi novel, The Tommyknockers, wasn't the author's favorite but it will indeed by the basis for yet another adaptation. The story about an alien spacecraft and mass hysteria was first made into a TV miniseries in 1993, starring Jimmy Smits and Marg Helgenberger. In March 2018, it was announced that James Wan and Roy Lee plan to produce the upcoming movie.

From a Buick 8 - King's 2002 horror novel, From a Buick 8, was first rumored to be made into a movie in 2005 through George A. Romero. Tobe Hooper then took over as director but the development stalled in 2009 due to financial issues. In 2018, it was announced that the movie adaptation was back on track with William Brent Bell set to write and direct.
Drunken Fireworks - The short story featured in King's collection, The Bazaar of Bad Dreams, was set to become a film as stated by an announcement during June 2016. Drunken Fireworks focused on a clue-collar mechanic and a retired mob boss after they face off in a Fourth of July fireworks competition. James Franco was announced to star in the film and there was interest from the actor to direct as well. The script was reportedly being written by Matt Rager but no updates have been released in the last few years.

Castle Rock - The horror anthology series created by Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason is inspired by the characters and themes invented by King. The Hulu original is set in King's fictional town of Castle Rock, Maine. Season 2 of Castle Rock premieres on October 23, 2019, and it will feature Lizzy Caplan as a younger version of Annie Wilkes, the character from Misery.
Mr. Mercedes - The third season of Mr. Mercedes is set to begin in mid-September 2019. The crime drama is based on King's trilogy, Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, and End of Watch. The story follows Bill Hodges, a retired detective, on the hunt of a killer that took the lives of sixteen people. Mr. Mercedes stars Brendan Gleeson. Harry Treadaway, Jharrel Jerome, and Holland Taylor.

Lisey’s Story - King's 2006 novel, Lisey's Story, will be the basis of a miniseries on Apple TV+. The psychological horror tells the story of the widow of a famous author. The woman, Lisey, struggles to adapt to her everyday life while also sharing details into her dead husband's past. Julianne Moore will portray the role of Lisey and the TV series will be directed by Josh Boone.
The Outsider - The Outsider is one of King's more recent novels getting the screen adaptation. It will be the focus of an upcoming HBO miniseries starring Jason Bateman. The actor will portray a popular teacher accused of murdering and mutilating the body of a young boy. As the detective in the case follows the incident, he learns that something much more sinister was responsible.
The Dark Tower - King's popular book, The Dark Tower, received a film adaptation in 2017 with Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey. It wasn't received well by viewers and critics but that didn't slow down interest in future projects based on the series. In 2018, it was announced that Amazon was developing a show based on the books and it would serve as a reboot. Sam Strike and Jasper Pääkkönen were cast in the leads and the cast also includes Michael Rooker, Jerome Flynn, and Joana Ribeiro.
The Stand - King's 1978 post-apocalyptic horror will be remade into a miniseries for CBS All Access in the near future. The novel featured a world that was almost entirely wiped out due to a strain of influenza. There was talk about adapting the novel into a feature film for decades before it was turned into a miniseries in 1994. King rewrote the end of the novel for the upcoming show. The Stand will star James Marsden, Amber Heard, Odessa Young, and Henry Zaga.

Mr. Mercedes Season 3 is coming to the Audience Network, continuing the TV adaptation of Stephen King’s Bill Hodges books.

Mr. Mercedes Season 3 is officially set for Audience Network. The renewal of Mr. Mercedes Season 3 arrived shortly after the late-summer-launched Season 2 wrapped its run on October 24, 2018, and has a late 2019 release date. Stephen King has called it the show's best so far...
This is the best season of MR. MERCEDES--based on FINDERS KEEPERS. Check this out.https://t.co/nouBaDFKhe
— Stephen King (@StephenKing) June 5, 2019
The series will continue its process of adapting Stephen King’s novel trilogy – 2014’s Mr. Mercedes, 2015’s Finders Keepers and 2016’s End of Watch. As originally intended, 2017’s Season 1 followed the first novel, and the recently-aired Season 2 covered the second.
While one might deduce that Season 3 (presumably covering the third and final book,) would mark the end of the series, creator/showrunner David E. Kelley teased a “master plan” with THR – ahead of the Season 1 launch – that, "Going into this, the idea is that we have three books and in success it would make for three seasons and then, who knows? Maybe longer if we're having fun."

We have a trailer for Mr. Mercedes Season 3, and it's chock full of hints at what we can expect from the third season of this critically-acclaimed show...

Mr. Mercedes Season 3 Release Date
Mr. Mercedes Season 3 will premiere on Tuesday, September 10 at 10 p.m.
Mr. Mercedes Season 3 Cast
Here's the latest two additions to third season of Mr. Mercedes, as reported by Deadline.
Bechir Sylvain (Grace and Frankie, Chicago P.D.) will play EJ, “Jenn’s (Jenn Lyon) ex-boyfriend, and the biological father to Jenn’s daughter, Brienne. He just got out of jail and with a new lease on life wants joint custody of his daughter.”
Meg Steedle (Code Black, I’m Dying Up Here) will play Danielle Sweeney, “Morris’ (Gabriel Ebert) affectionate yet slightly naive girlfriend who finds herself out of her depth when she questions Morris and Alma’s (Kate Mulgrew) strange relationship.”
They are preceded by the casting of this trio in March (via Deadline):
Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek: Voyager, Orange is the New Black) will play Alma Lane, described as “another life-long resident of Bridgton, Ohio and a compelling force in Morris’ (Gabriel Ebert) life since he was a boy. She is a bit vicious and a lot smart.”
Brett Gelman (Lemon, Stranger Things) will play Roland Finklestein, “a smart, passionate defense attorney who is representing Lou Linklatter (Breeda Wool) in her murder trial. He believes he can win the case if they go to trial and keep Lou out of prison.”
Natalie Paul (The Sinner, You) will play A. D. A. Sarah Pace, “Prosecutor on Lou’s case. At first glance one might think her soft, but she is a hardcore prosecutor with a strong moral compass. She doesn’t support or believe in Lou’s vigilantism and refuses to back down from pursuing justice.”
The following trio were added back in February (via Deadline):
Gabriel Ebert (Ricki and the Flash, The Good Fight) will play Morris Bellamy, “intelligent, well-educated if not middle class, a volatile and charismatic wolf in sheep’s clothing. When he was younger he had ambitions of becoming a famous writer but ended up with a much less exciting life in Ohio.”
Rarmian Newton (NOS4A2, Rise) plays Peter Saubers, “16, smart and personable, he’s a junior in high school and on the college track. From a seemingly happy home, but that picturesque Midwestern life was derailed when his father was disabled during the Mr. Mercedes massacre.”
Glynn Turman (How to Get Away with Murder, The Red Line) will recur as Judge Bernard Raines, “the no-nonsense judge presiding over Lou Linklatter’s murder trial, he suffers no fools and takes no prisoners. He is none too pleased with the lawyers working on this case who seem hell bent for trial.”

Mr. Mercedes Season 3 Details
The third season is in production, though, as Deadline reported, it has not been without incident. On March 2, special effect tech, Mike Wilks, was electrocuted while the production was shooting in the rain. While Wilks survived, he endured multiple surgeries to repair his hands and feet, and the amputation of four toes.
The mythology of Mr. Mercedes focuses on retired police detective Bill Hodges (Brendan Gleeson), who finds himself in the center of a circuitous psychological game involving the psychopathic serial killer, Brady Hartsfield (Harry Treadaway), whose initial criminal claim to fame involved plowing a Mercedes into a line of job seekers; a crime that earned him the story’s eponymous nickname, “Mr. Mercedes.” – The cast also consists of Jack Huston, Jharrel Jerome, Holland Taylor, Brenda Wool, Robert Stanton, Justine Lupe, Scott Lawrence and Tessa Ferrer.
As Daniel York, Senior Exec VP and Chief Content Officer at AT&T (which oversees Audience Network under the Turner Broadcasting corporate umbrella), expressed of the third season renewal in a November 2018 statement:
"Mr. Mercedes has resonated with such a wide audience, so we’re thrilled to bring it back for a third season for our customers,” said “David E. Kelley, Jack Bender and Sonar have crafted a series that honors the original work by Stephen King and we can’t wait to see where they take the show in a ‘post-Mr. Mercedes world."
The Mr. Mercedes TV series was created by prolific legal drama visionary David E. Kelley, who is confirmed to resume his duties as showrunner for Season 3 along with director Jack Bender. The duo also serve as executive producers, joined in that capacity by Temple Hill Entertainment's Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey, Tom Lesinski and Jenna Santoianni of Sonar and AT&T Audience Network's Shane Elrod and Kate Regan. Most notably, Stephen King himself will remain a credited executive producer on the series.

2018 In Review
So, another year has passed.
ANYONE else felt this year just flew by like a rocket? I remember when I was a kid, my parents or other adults always spoke of the furious passage of time as an adult, but, HOLY FIRE ROASTED TROUTS!, it felt that I sneezed and I’m already at the end of the year. It didn’t help that this year was a garbage fire.
I was pretty disappointed in myself this year. I set some pretty lofty goals, and unfortunately, I fell short on every single one.
BOOKS
I only read SIX BOOKS out of my 100 book Challenge on Goodreads. Some might think this was a big undertaking but I’m a pretty voracious reader, and last year I exceeded my list reading sixty books. So excluding comics and graphic novels,
This is what I read
1)End of an Era by Robert J. Sawyer
2)A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline D’Engel
3)Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House by Michael Wolfe
4)Twin Peaks: A Final Dossier by Mark Frost
5)The Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton
I had a few books that I’m still reading
Congo by Michael Crichton
Red Raptor by Robert T. Bakker
Sphere by Michael Crichton
The Serpent’s Secret by Sayantani DasGupta
Firebrand (Steeplejack Series) by A.J. Hartley
What Happened by Hilary Rodham Clinton
Aquaman: 75 Year Celebration by DC Comics
Green Arrow: 75 Year History by DC Comics
Ghostbusters: Ultimate Visual History by Daniel Wallace
I’m pretty disappointed in myself in not reading as much, but, honestly, I just didn’t have the energy this year. Every time I would start reading, my mind would wander with e5ith anxious thoughts or life stuff and I LOVE reading and don’t really want to sleepwalk through reading. I want to enjoy and be immersed into whatever reading, so instead I put the books down :(
Next year, I’ll hopefully do better.
TV
I had a very overwhelming list of TV series that I either wanted to watch for work, entertainment or just to keep up with Peak TV and pop culture.I planned to watch all of my unwatched series on Netflix, so I could write an article on the overwhelming dump of Netflix original content. I fell short. Here is a list of all the tv, from everything I was watching weekly, to the series I had started but haven’t finished, unwatched series, upcoming series I’m interested in and everything I finished.

VIDEO GAMES
This year, I intended to play more videogames, and while I finished Firewatch, which turned out to be one of my favourite games of the last decade and a great first person adventure game to boot, I again, bought many games I never finished including Stardew Valley, The Adventures of Willy Beamish, Inherit the Earth, Lighthouse: The Dark Being and Bioshock.
Many other games including personal faves, Maniac Mansion, Grim Fandango, Curse of Monkey Island, Escape from Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge: Remastered Edition I bought but either haven’t had the time or interest to replay.
Others such as Shivers, Ecco The Dolphin, The Dagger of Amon Ra: A Laura Bow Mystery, and Broken Sword, I just didn’t have the energy to start.
I’m hoping next year to at least finish five games.
EZEKIEL CONFRONTS CHALLNGE
If you’ve been following me on social media, you know this year, I really want to dig down and confront fears or personal biases on things I deemed embarrassing or nerdy such as conventions, D&D, Magic:TG, WOW (World of Warcraft) and rewatching all of the Star Trek series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager, as well as watching series such as SeaQuest:DSV, Battlestar Galactica and Babylon 5 for the first time.
Ezekiel Watches Star Trek
I really ENJOYED rewatching Star Trek. It was such a big part of my early childhood watching TNG  with my parents and I LOVED DS9 and enjoyed Voyager, so getting to go back was such a delight and reignited my love for these series and made me want to proudly wear them as a source of pride rather then a blemish of embarrassment., I’m sad I wasn’t able to watch all seven series of each of the three series, but I’m halfway done  Season 5 on TNG, DS9 and Voyager that hopefully I can finish all series by the end of Jan 2019.
Ezekiel Watches SeaQuest, Battlestar and Babylon 5
I never watched SeaQuest DSV as a kid, despite my LOVE of the ocean and exploration, again due to embarrassment and wanting to be cool. I’ve watched the first season, there are three in total, and despite a few problematic areas *cough* poorly written female characters *cough* I really liked the potential of the series and a few of the characters.
With both Battlesar and Babylon 5, I only watched the Pilots of both series and while I enjoyed them, I didn’t have nearly enough a sample to know if I’ll enjoy them. Hoping to watch more of each as well as finish the last two seasons of SeaQuest next year.
Ezekiel Plays WOW
I’ve never played WOW (or had any interest). For a decade, my two younger siblings have tried to bully me into playing but it wasn’t until my friend, Kelly, started playing with her husband, that I wanted to share something that had become important to her. I don’t know I’d continue if Kelly stopped playing but so far I’m enjoying myself. I didn’t expect to enjoy (mainly it’s Kelly), she’s an EXCELLENT guide and is very good with going slow with me and teaching me about the world and its rules and not making me feel stupid or a burden.
PERSONAL GOALS
This year was my hard, my debut novel that was supposed to get published this past November, had an issue with my publisher and now its release is TBA, I feel like a failure, and my main priority of 2019 is getting the novel that I’ve worked on for five years PUBLISHED!
I wanted to lose twenty five pounds and start working out more to feel better, less sluggish and work on my mental health.. In this area, I succeeded, lost the weight I needed, and walked 3 km every day from May to late September. I need to work out more but I don’t feel as bad that didn’t happen.
I didn’t write as much as I wanted both for work and personal. I didn’t have as much published pieces as I’ve had in previous years. A lot of it was that my mental health was low throughout the year, and I had too many days off due to feeling depleted and exhausted .
I also didn’t work on the short stories much that I want to compile in a short story anthology that I want to self publish on Amazon and E Book. Again, I just need to push myself and write every day like I used to.
That being said, I’m really excited to go into the New Year and do better :)
BEST OF 2018
Two awesome things happened this year, I got my cat, Cheriden that was a rescue from my friend’s parent’s acreage, and he’s honestly the best part of my life right now. I had a cat, Sneaky, who was a tabby, when I was little but I’ve always wanted an animal that was a companion, that would come for snuggles and follow me around.  Cheriden was made for me, sometimes he’s too needy but he’s improved the quality of my life so much.
in 2005, I found a website, Isle of Coloden that was run by Kelly, who seemed just as weird as me and I admired her for her openness when blogging was such a new thing for me, I always thought she was a cool, and pathetic as it sounds, wanted to be her friend..  Last December, my ex, suggested I tell her how much she helped me through a difficult time in my life, when I had lost my girlfriend, I was initially reluctant but I did and Kelly and I started  chatting, she is now a co-host on my pod, Pop! Fishbowl, has helped me with WOW and I’m so glad to have such a caring, unique, opinionated person in my life.
For Christmas, she surprised me and bought me the first two seasons of Disney’s Gargoyles (Pretty much the complete series IGNORE Season 3!!!), which was such a delightful, thoughtful gift that came during a very tumultuous stressful week
and today I was again surprised to see I always made her best of 2018 list :) Shut up, I’m not smiling, YOU ARE! :) XD
TO 2019, AND BEYOND
Going into the New Year, I want to get my book published, figure out my two book deal so I get started on the next two that make up the trilogy, continue walking/working out both physically and mentally, finish my tv list, read at least 50 books and try to get short stories published in journals/magazines as well as play five video games.
In regards onto my website, Culture Gecko, I want to work on more local pieces in both Saskatoon and my other home, Vancouver. Interview local art7ist7s, business owners, report on news and current events.
Fingers crossed, you guys!

Text
10 years ago today we were introduced to a rag tag group of losers who, with a song in their hearts, were just looking for a place to belong as they made their way through high school in Nowhereville, Ohio. We met a young teacher trying to rediscover his passion for teaching. We came across your usual high school jocks and cheerleaders, we had our first run-in with a slightly scary, slightly crazy cheerleading coach, and we heard that iconic song for the first time closing out the episode.
Yes today marks 10 years since Glee’s pilot aired. How little we knew then the impact this show about a high school glee club that was littered with song and dance numbers that ran the gamut from top 40 pop to rap to classic rock to Broadway staples would have on our lives. And it’s not just our lives that it changed, it also changed the TV landscape… bringing musicals back to TV, opening up mainstream TV to LGBT issues, and raising awareness of issues from the value of arts education to texting and driving.
Let’s take a look at where the cast are now.
Dianna Agron – Quinn Fabray

Dianna became a household name as the Queen Bee head cheerleader Quinn Fabray with the seemingly picture perfect life… little did we know from that very first episode. Following her character’s high school graduation at the end of season 3, Dianna only appeared in a handful of episodes for the rest of Glee’s run. Since landing Glee, Dianna has had a number of film roles. They include The Hunters (2011), I Am Number Four (2011), The Family (2013), Zipper (2015), Bare (2015), and The Crash (2017). She also made her London theatre debut as Dahlia in the play McQueen in 2015. Dianna married Mumford & Sons’ Winston Marshall in 2016.
Chris Colfer – Kurt Hummel

Chris was a cherub-faced 19-year-old when Ryan Murphy created the role of Kurt Hummel for him and just like his character, Chris is not taking ‘no’ for an answer and forging his own career as a storyteller. Chris won a Golden Globe for best supporting actor for his portrayal of the fashion-forward countertenor in 2011. During the Glee 2011 hiatus, Chris wrote and starred in the film Struck by Lightning. Chris adapted the film’s script into a novel, which was published in November 2012. While working on the Struck and during breaks in the Glee Live! in Concert! tour through North America, the UK and Ireland, Chris was working on his draft for The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell, the first in his fantasy children’s series and earning him his first New York Times Bestseller’s list entry. The novel has spawned five sequels, two picture books and a couple of companion books, not to mention a number of other Bestseller’s list entries. It was announced last year that the first book was being adapted for film. Chris will not only serve as writer and executive producer, but will also make his directorial debut on the project. He also released his second Young Adult novel – Stranger than Fanfiction – in 2017. Although his writing has kept Chris largely busy since Glee wrapped, he has had a guest spot on Hot in Cleveland and guest starred in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie.
Jane Lynch – Sue Sylvester

When Glee debuted 10 years ago, Jane Lynch was probably the best-known cast member. It’s hard to imagine anyone else in cheer coach and Will Schuester/Glee club antagonist Sue Sylvester. Jane had some of the best one-liners throughout the series, with many still littering social media today. From 2013, Jane has hosted NBC’s game show Hollywood Game Night (on which a number of her Glee castmates have appeared) for which she was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Host in 2018. That same year was also nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor for her role in The Marvelous Mrs Maisel. Jane executive produced and starred in the comedy web series Dropping the Soap, earning an Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series Emmy nomination for her performance. Her autobiography, Happy Accidents was published in 2011, and Jane returned to the stage, making her Broadway debut as Miss Hannigan for a limited engagement in 2013 in the Annie revivial and touring her cabaret show, See Jane Sing, which debuted in 2015.
Jayma Mays – Emma Pilsbury

Jayma played the germaphobe McKinley High guidance counselor, who always had a motivational leaflet on hand for any occasion. Her infatuation with Will Schuester provided her with much angst in the first few seasons, but her patience and long-suffering was finally rewarded, notwithstanding her runaway bride escapade. Jayma starred alongside Neil Patrick Harris in the two Smurf movies and had lead roles in the TV series The Millers (2013-2015) and Trial & Error (2017-2018). Jayma and husband Adam Campbell welcomed their son, Jude in August 2016.
Kevin McHale – Artie Abrams

Former boy band member, Kevin took on the role of wheelchair bound Artie Abrams. Since Glee wrapped in 2015, Kevin spent some time in the UK hosting the comedy panel show Virtually Famous for its first three seasons. He also played supporting roles in the independent film Boychoir and the docudrama miniseries When We Rise, which detailed the history of US LGBT rights advocacy from the 1970s to the 2010s. On the music front, Kevin joined fellow Glee star Darren Criss in Katy Perry’s celeb-filled video for her 2011 hit “Last Friday Night “(T.G.I.F.)” and has recently my working on new solo work, with his song “Help Me Now” released at the end of March. Kevin can also be heard every Thursday with best friend and Glee co-star Jenna Ushkowitz on their podcast Showmance – part of the Ladygang Network, of which fellow co-star Becca Tobin is co-creator of.
Lea Michele – Rachel Berry

Lea starred as the Broadway-obsessed, New Directions-lead diva, Rachel Berry. Following Glee’s end, Lea joined Ryan Murphy’s new Fox comedy horror series, Scream Queens. Lea played Hester Ulrich for the show’s two seasons. In 2017 she starred as Valentina Barella in ABC’s ill-fated sitcom The Mayor, which despite positive critical acclaim, was cancelled after one season. Lea made her feature film debut in 2011’s New Year’s Eve. Lea has released two studio albums: Louder (2014) and Places (2017), and has recently teased work beginning on a new album. She promoted Places in 2017 with the mini tour An Intimate Evening with Lea Michele, which took her to nine cities in the US as well as Toronto, Canada and London, UK. She teamed up with fellow Glee-alum Darren Criss for the LM/DC Tour in 2018, which saw the pair perform across North America, the UK and Ireland. Lea has also penned two books: the New York Times Bestseller Brunette Ambition and You First: Journal Your Way to Your Best Life. Lea married president of clothing brand AYR, Zandy Reich earlier this year.
Cory Monteith – Finn Hudson

Cory played the lovable giant Finn Hudson, McKinley’s star quarterback who also slayed it on the drums and could nail any classic rock song. While working on Glee, Canadian native starred in Monte Carlo and Sisters & Brothers, both were released in 2011. Cory made no secret of his struggles with addiction, both before and during Glee. Cory was found dead in a Vancouver hotel in July 2013. His two films, All The Wrong Reasons and McCanick were released posthumously. The cast and crew paid tribute to both Cory and Finn in the season 5 episode, “The Quarterback”.
Matthew Morrison – Will Schuester

The role of McKinley High’s inept Spanish teacher who revives the glee club was played by Matthew Morrison. Matt released his first solo studio album in 2011. The self-titled album was followed up in 2013 with the release of Where It All Began, a collection of Broadway standards. Matt also starred in The Muppets (2011) and the film adaptation of bestselling book, What To Expect When You’re Expecting (2012). Matt returned to the Broadway stage in 2015, performing the title role of J.M. Barrie in the new musical Finding Neverland. The role earned him two Broadway.com Audience Awards: Favorite Actor in a Musical and Favorite Onstage Pair (with Laura Michelle Kelly). He has had recurring roles on The Good Wife and Grey’s Anatomy and earlier this year, Matt was one of the dance captain’s in BBC One’s The Greatest Dancer. He married Renee Puente in 2014. The couple welcomed their first child, Revel in 2017.
Amber Riley – Mercedes Jones

With a killer set of pipes and a huge dose of diva, Amber Riley played the unstoppable Mercedes Jones. Amber put her years of Glee dance training to use, taking out the Mirror Ball trophy on Dancing with the Stars. She starred as Addaperle, the Good Witch of the North, in NBC’s live performance of The Wiz in 2015. Amber then came across to London and made her West End debut as Effie White in Dreamgirls, a role that won her the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 2017. Later that year she was a judge on BBC One’s musical talent show Let It Shine. She also joined forces with Beverley Knight and Cassidy Janson as Leading Ladies. They released their first album, Songs from the Stage at the end of 2017.
Mark Salling – Noah “Puck” Puckerman

Mark played McKinley’s resident “badass” Puck. A bully who has been in and out of juvie, he’s Finn Hudson’s best friend and teammate on the football team, however, this doesn’t stop him from knocking up Finn’s girlfriend Quinn. But this relationship does bring him to the New Directions as a way to be closer to Quinn. Mark released the studio album Pipe Dreams in 2010 where it received modest success reaching 29 on the US Indie chart. In 2013 Mark was accused of sexual battery, which was settled out of court. He was later arrested and charged with possession of child pornography. He died by suicide in January 2018 before he was sentenced.
Jenna Ushkowitz – Tina Cohen-Chang

Jenna starred as the stuttering emo/goth Tina Cohen-Chang, though both of these attributes didn’t last beyond the first two seasons. Jenna released an autobiography, Choosing Glee in 2013. She returned to the stage in 2015 and 2016 as Julia Sullivan in The Wedding Singer in Pittsburgh and in a limited run as Dawn Williams in Broadway’s Waitress, respectively. Jenna has also turned to producing. She executive produced the documentary Twinsters in 2015, which premiered at the South by Southwest festival and she won her first Tony last year for her work as a producer on the Once on This Island musical revival. In 2016 Jenna founded the At Will Radio podcast network with Will Malnati. She hosted the podcast Infinite Positivities. More recently she has joined Glee best friend and costar Kevin McHale as co-hosts of the Ladygang Network podcast Showmance. Jenna also founded Kindred: The Foundation for Adoption with fellow adoptee Samantha Futerman.
Heather Morris – Brittany Pierce

In what was only meant to be a background role, Heather Morris so endeared ditzy cheerleader Brittany Pierce to the fans and the Glee writers that she quickly became a series regular. Heather provided the voice of Katie in Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012) and has starred in Spring Breakers (2013), Most Likely to Die (2015) and Folk Hero & Funny Guy (2016). Heather appeared in the 2017 season of Dancing with the Stars, being eliminated in the sixth week of the competition. Heather gave birth to her son, Elijah with Taylor Hubbell in 2013. Heather and Taylor were married in 2015 and welcomed their second son, Owen in 2016.
Naya Rivera – Santana Lopez

The third member of the Unholy Trinity, Naya starred as Latino spitfire Santana Lopez. Naya made her feature film debut in 2014 in the horror film At the Devil’s Door. She had a recurring role in the third season of Devious Maids (2015) and has starred in the YouTube Red series Step Up: High Water (2018-). Naya signed with Columbia Records in 2011 to produce a solo album. Her single “Sorry”, featuring then-boyfriend and rapper Big Sean was released in 2013, though the album was never produced. Naya has also published a memoir: Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, and Growing Up. Naya married Ryan Dorsey in 2014. They have a son, Josey, who was born in 2015. Naya and Ryan eventually divorced in 2018.
Harry Shum Jr. – Mike Chang

The dancing jock with a surprising voice, Harry starred as Mike Chang. Known for most of the first season as “Other Asian”, it was his relationship with Tina from the second season that brought Mike into the heart of the glee club and their fans. Harry was involved in a number of web series during Glee’s run, including Step Up 3-D and Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Since Glee he has starred in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny and the hit 2018 film Crazy Rich Asians. He is best known for his role as the warlock Magnus Bane in the Freeform/Netflix series Shadowhunters, which ran from 2016 and the series finale airing earlier this month. Personally Harry married actress/dancer Shelby Rabara in 2015. The couple’s first child, Xia, was born earlier this year.
Chord Overstreet – Sam Evans

Chord joined the cast early on in season 2 as transfer student Sam Evans. While Chord starred as Nick in the 2015 film 4th Man Out, he has largely focused on his music career since Glee wrapped. In 2016, Chord toured with Glee season 5 recurring guest Demi Levato and Nick Jonas, opening a series of their Future Now Tour dates. He released a series of singles between 2016 and 2017, along with his debut EP Tree House Tapes in mid 2017. In 2018, he created alt-pop-rock group Overstreet. They released singles “Wasted Time” and “Carried Away” Last month they debuted new song “All Nighter” and their debut album Man on the Moon is due out later this year. They are currently touring around the US at selected cities.
Darren Criss – Blaine Anderson

With a failed audition for Finn Hudson behind him, Darren Criss was cast as rival glee club Dalton Academy’s lead singer, Blaine Anderson, in season 2’s sixth episode, “Never Been Kissed”. Initially a short guest stint as a role model-type character for Kurt, the chemistry between Darren and Chris Colfer and the fan response to both Darren and his debut song “Teenage Dream” soon saw him join the regular cast. Darren made his Broadway debut in a three week stint as J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in January 2012. He went straight from Glee into rehearsals for Broadway’s Hedwig and the Angry Inch, taking the stage for 12-weeks in 2015. He reprised the role for the San Francisco and LA legs of the US tour in 2016. He has starred in the films Girl Most Likely (2012) and the upcoming WWII drama Midway. The film All You Ever Wished For, which was filmed straight after his first Hedwig run and received limited cinema release, will be available on DVD from next month. Darren teamed up with Ryan Murphy again as Andrew Cunanan in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, a role which won him a slew of awards in the past award season including the Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG for Best Actor in a Limited Series.
Darren’s first solo tour, Listen Up, played to sold out venues in Glee’s 2013 summer hiatus. He formed the band Computer Games with his brother Chuck last year. They released their debut EP Lost Boys Life and played a few concerts around the US and in Mexico. They are set to release some new tracks over the next few months. Darren released his second solo EP Homework at the end of 2017. He toured with co-star Lea Michele throughout 2018 as well as performed intimate solo sets in London and Sydney. Darren realised a long-held dream in 2015, with the launch of Elsie Fest – a Broadway and pop music festival. The festival has been held annually in New York City. Darren married long-time girlfriend Mia Swier earlier this year. They opened the piano bar Tramp Stamp Granny’s in LA last year.
Honorable Mentions
Guest star Grant Gustin (Warbler Sebastian Smythe – 2011-2013) has gone on to star as Barry Allen/The Flash in The CW’s The Flash and other Arrowverse shows. Melissa Benoist (Marley Rose – 2012-2014) currently appears as Kara Danvers/Supergirl in The CW’s Supergirl and other Arrowverse shows. TV series and podcast network. The ladies are about to embark on a limited tour of the US.
