Picture this:

at the end of the Knuckles series, possibly as a mid credits scene, Wade and Knuckles are going back to Green Hills. However, the Wachowski house is torn up again and on fire. Sonic is flung through a wall or what remains of it, and says, “oh, hi Knuckles! I’m glad you’re back, we need your help.” Wade asks “What is going on?!” We hear someone say, “I am.” Cut to Shadow’s silhouette with fire and dramatic music in the background. Cut to credits.

I'm not upset, I find that hilarious as hell. Plus, the latter plays into my headcanon that Knuckles can eat/drink anything sour/bitter without making a face. So, a win for me :'D
