MOSES Miss Scarlet and the Duke Season Two

We talked about this on here before so I wanted to share I wrote a drabble for this.

The missing moment in Jewel of the North (3x6) before Eliza and Moses leave to pay a visit to Solomon's.

I was rewatching the Jewel of the North, cuz why not, and the scene where Moses and Patrick try to arrest Jack Fenton came up. I had forgotten just how hilarious this scene truly is😂 so I’ve decided to put a couple of my favorite things about this scene:

“Isn’t that why I pay you?”

*takes deep breath and downs his glass*

“Well, as it happens, I used to box for County Wicklow”

*insert confused Moses face*

*casually taps Fenton’s shoulder with his cane* *scene snaps to him being yeeted onto the ground*

*insert pained grunt*

*insert Patrick breaking his cane*

And after all of that he says, “I really liked than cane☹️” *disappointed sigh*

I like him so much. I love his friendship with eliza. He really respects her and likes her. I love their dynamic.

(I really like duke/ eliza, but sometimes I'm like eliza/ moses 😏 because they're so cute together)

He gave her his last name willingly to cheer her up about duke and Arabella!

I need this duo to stay together.

Moses is amazing and I want him as long as the show continues.

Let us evaluate the screwable men in Eliza's life for relationship prospects. Sadly there are no screwable women (from Eliza's perspective) at this time.

William: they are most definitely in idiot love, but there are societal problems. In a vacuum I think William would be fine with her career even after they got married. Unfortunately I think those that out rank William at work would constantly punish him for her career. At best his career would be permanently stalled or he'd have to find a new one. At worst he'd end up blaming Eliza. (More discussion of this problem later)

Fitzroy: good lad, totally has a crush on Eliza, but she sees him as a little brother, because well, he's essentially William's little brother.

Moses: No. I reject this option. I love their sibling vibe too much. I want to see how she behaves if she ever finds out he's seriously dating someone.

Patrick Nash: this is a tempting option. He has a ethics issue that is always going to be a problem for Eliza. .... Unless William is married off.

HOWEVER

Patrick offering to make her a partner is just the ticket. It gives Eliza more status and a staff. So she can send people and create a degree of separation so perhaps William doesn't get professionally punished by stupid people.

The Lemon Legacy: Generation 1, Chapter 86 - The Big Day, Part 1

The day of the wedding has finally arrived. The guests are seated. Hilary has taken her place as the officiant. Greta has swallowed her pride and worn pink for the occasion. Let's get these crazy kids married!

Green-thumbed Greta picked only the best flowers from her personal garden to use for her Flower Pal duties. She tosses the petals with her own dramatic flair, clearly taking her duties seriously.

Despite their rough patch earlier in the week, Hilary's so proud of her daughter.

Violet: Where's O'fia?

Marcie: Shh, she's coming, princess.

Jace struts down the aisle with his ring pillow and his head held high.

Hilary tries to burn in her memory how her little boy looks in this moment. He's aging up into a teen soon. She's going to miss his sweet face.

As he walks down the aisle, Xander can't help but let his emotions get to him. This is really happening.

He had decided to take Ophelia's last name, so these are his last few moments as Alexander Pappas. He's so excited to start this next chapter of his life with Ophelia.

Everyone was too busy watching Xander walk down the aisle to notice a little escape artist had slipped out of Marcie's arms and was tearing off toward someone in white.

Violet gazes up at the woman of the hour, in awe at her lacy white dress and sparkly jewelry.

Violet: Is that you, O'fia?

Ophelia: Yeah, Vi, it's me.

Violet: I like your dress! You look like a princess!

Violet: I like your head thingy too!

Ophelia: It's called a veil. Your mommy wore a veil at her wedding, remember?

Violet: Yeah! You look pretty. Almost as pretty as me!

Ophelia: Well thank you. That's a very high compliment from Princess Violet Sistem herself.

Ophelia's surely missed her cue to go to the aisle by now, but she can't bring herself to care. She crouches down to give Violet a hug, her nerves settling a bit thanks to the little charmer's embrace.

Marcie: Violet, don't run away from Momma like that! I'm so sorry, Ophelia.

Ophelia: It's okay. I think I needed a hug. My stomach has been turning all day.

Marcie: Well, Violet's right about one thing. You do look gorgeous. I'll keep a better eye on this one. I think the future Mr. Lemon is waiting for you.

Ophelia: Showtime.

Ophelia brandishes her bouquet as the guests rise to watch her walk down the aisle. Her heart swells as she sees her friends, her gran, her future family all there to witness their union.

The skies of Tartosa are a beautiful orange-pink. It's a perfect evening already.

Xander: Glad I went with the tux. I almost wore the exact same dress. That would have been embarrassing.

Ophelia knows him well enough to notice the slightest of quivers in his voice as he cracks that joke. She whispers to him.

Ophelia: It's okay, baby, I'm nervous too.

I have only three things to say about the above (three things nobody asked for I know, bear with me at your own risk I guees):

1) Omg OMG, we are going to be witnessing the VERY FIRST TIME Eliza & William MET as kids and I CANNOT CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT (not that I want toooo)!!! I mean: it's since S1E1 that I've been DREAMING of this moment but with time and my presence in other fandoms before this one in the past, I learnt the hard way to aspect absolutely nothing from shows lol so I honestly doubted that this day was going to come, at least not this soon(-ish. Actually, it's not soon at all imo. It's the perrrfect moment since the things between E & W are supposed to be getting serious and serious, I was just being pessimistic about it, don't mind me lol). I'm soooo over the moon I was wronggg!!! 🤩🤩🥰

2) I think it's quite probable that the new episode 5 of S4 is going to be last season's third one: A.K.A. that one episode you always, aaalways skip when you re-watch the show LMAO (I know this might be controversial to some but I also know for a fact I'm very far from being the only one doing that. I honestly have no idea why but an episode with Eliza and Nash alone working on a case is terribly booooriiingg!!! Like: sorry Rachael and everyone but I absolutely cannot, thanks).

3) Why oh why is Nash in this season (and not some new character) AND where the fluff is Moses?? Is it him the "familiar face" in episode 4? 👀👀 Sure hope so.
