Moonwatcher had a look of surprise and awe at this other Guardian, almost as if he was surprised to be perceived at all, even recognized!

He nodded excitedly at Marcello’s question. He didn’t speak, or at least he couldn’t be heard, but his animated personality more than made up for his lack of words. 

He floated over Marcello’s side eying over his painting, his tail finding a bit of a wag at its subject matter. Looking at his attire it was clear he had an affinity with space or at least sci-fi.     

The spectral Moonwatcher looks back at Marcello giving him a thumbs up and an approving nod over his space painting. 

Moonwatcher: 🤩👍 💕🌌🎨😄!

A spectral figure of an Sci-fi enamored echidna floats around the base. Phasing through walls unnoticed, he looks around the foreign space in awe and wonderment. Stopping dead in his tracks as he stumbled into a space themed room. Immediately floating inside in excitement he spots the Guardian known as Marcello.     

Moonwatcher: 👋��� 😁✨

In his colourful, celestial themed room, Marcello was painting. He enjoyed painting with watercolours, particularly sky pieces. He had been doing a fantastical space piece, with mixes of greens, blues and purples, but when he sensed some sort of presence. He turned his attention away.

At the sight of a seemingly ghostly echidna, he jumped for a second, but quickly smiled in response to this friendly attitude. "Hi there!", he grinned, giving a wave back at the guest, "You one of those other Guardians? From that other dimension... I haven't seen ya before. I love your vibes!".

🌌Collective intro🌌

Hello, we are the Nebulae Collective. We are a collection of 3 systems in one body (aka subsystems). We consider ourselves a C-DID system although we are not 100% on that label. We are white, queer, trans, physically and mentally disabled. We live in Australia! We collectively go by they/them. We have a total of 20+ alters, some of which will not be posting. We are anti endogenic. We respectfully ask endos/mixed origins/etc to not interact with us, if you do it will earn you an immediate block. Pro-endo OSDDID systems are on thin ice, but go ahead, as long as you are respectful. We support Palestine 🍉🍉🍉.

The Avatar Cluster is a system within a system. This cluster is also considered by us as a tertiary system. So far only the host fronts reliably.

The Destiny system is the secondary system and is a system type we coined, known as a lateral system, more info below the cut. They are a system made up of Wings Of Fire fictives. Four most frequent fronters:

Edit 12/10/24: What is a “lateral” system? What is a primary, or secondary system?

Initially, we were going to use parallel system at the recommendation of our HC-DID system friend to describe our strange system structure. We discovered that the term “parallel system” was already in use by endogenics. So, a quick look at a thesaurus gave us what we needed.

A lateral system is a system is a system that is uncontactable by other systems within the collective body. Be it their uncontactability is related to RAMCOA, or something else entirely. Is it scientifically possible? I dunno! Do I experience it? Yep. (I’m fully willing to accept that I may be wrong in this instance).

We’ve also begun organising our systems into three hierarchies. Primary, secondary and tertiary. Primary systems are generally the most complex systems in the collective, they will likely have many layers, subsystems, subgroups, and perhaps even structures that may not have a name. They are also the most active systems in the collective. A collective may have multiple primary systems (see note 1), with one being the “main system” or there may be no main system, and instead just a shitload of primaries.

Secondary systems are still somewhat complex, but may be more comparable to a “regular” DID system, they may have layers, and subsystems, but won’t reach the complexity of any primary systems. Secondary systems are also less active than primaries, but more active than tertiaries.

It’s important to note now, that complexity is relative. I’m basing this classification on my own personal experiences of hierarchy within my collective. If you want to use this method, feel free to adjust any “rules” you might need to.

A tertiary system is a system that might be more comparable to an OSDD-1 or P-DID system. Low/no amnesia within the system, only one alter fronts at all, little variation between alters. They will likely not be too active when it comes to collective fronting.

Some notes:

1. There is no limit to the number of primary, secondary and tertiary systems a collective might have. Classifying a structure into either primary, secondary or tertiary is simply based on two things, the relative complexity of the structure, and the relative activity. High complexity, High activity, = primary. Medium complexity, medium activity, = secondary. Low complexity, low activity = tertiary. Once again however, this is just a guide. If you find that a structure does not conform to this expectation, you are free to change the rules however you wish.

2. Systems do not need to be “fully separated” from a primary system, in order to be considered a secondary or tertiary system. In the same vein, primaries also do not need to be seperate from each other. This does mean that subsystems can be classified as primaries, secondaries or tertiaries. This means that you do not have to have a complex system structure in order to use these terms, although it likely won’t be too useful in OSDD-1/P-DID systems. However, if your system structure lacks subsystems, you might find it useful to instead use these terms in describing layers or subgroups.

So, with the information, my system has allowed be publicly available, here are our classifications.

Nebulae System (high activity, high complexity) = primary

Destiny System (medium activity, medium complexity) = secondary

Avatar Cluster (low activity, low complexity) = tertiary

If you managed to get through all that, congrats. I may flesh this out into an actual post and provide further examples. I’d also like to talk about my collective’s naming scheme but I’ll save it.

🍼 - Favourite memory?

Honestly can't remember too much or feel too strongly about a particular memory. Even achievements I feel moderately ambient about. I guess it's probably hanging out with my best friend in third grade while walking a kilometer. Maybe talking to him about WoF a few years later when we met up again in high school. Maybe also when I finished writing the first chapter of my very, VERY first fanfic (and real writing) to see my brother had written a chapter that was essentially garbled nonsense about the Cabbage Man from ATLA. That was fun.
