First there's the scene, where Moon Gang Tae asks Ko Moon Young to read his face, and he shows her Sang Tae's emotions board when she answers playfully,

but Moon Young doesn't pay attention to the cards and just argues that she's not autistic, but she's taken aback immediately when Gang Tae mentions that she's not a zombie kid either

"What did the boy really want?” “Satiating his hunger or feeling his mother's warmth?”

Okay, we all remember this scene, is a famous and an adorable one

BUUT later on, we say ACTUALLY SEE Moon Young reading and analyzing the cards, and she just stands there while Gang Tae is sleeping, because she's not a zombie kid, but she wasn't sure of her answer when he asked her that

maybe because his face expression wasn't one of anger or disappointment or fear, and that's all she's ever known

this scene just really has a place in my heart, I love how complex all the characters are

Mini-review:

Well, this drama was entertaining, but nothing more. It was especially funny at the beginning, thanks to that sort of 'rivalry' between the leads. However, once they solved that and started moving into purely romantic territory, the story began to lose steam quickly. Tbh, I kept watching to the very end because of the sizzling chemistry between Jeon Jong Seo and Moon Sang Min. And I guess I wanted to see how in the world they were gonna clear up the mess created by the characters, which was pretty fascinating. I feel like the show would have been better if the director had put more thought into its style, cause the whole thing looked pretty cheap and bland. But still, Wedding Impossible is fun enough, and I can see fans of classic romcoms enjoying it a lot.

Cinderella at 2 am

I had a feeling that it might be based on a webtoon and it is! Let me tell you, I enjoyed this series so much! It's a sweet love story. It's not just the main couple, but the relationship between friends, siblings and the arranged marriage couple and how they fall in love.

I could feel their emotions, I connected with them. It is a really sweet story. I'm including it to my list of my favorite romcoms.

Watching Are You Sure?! EP 4

A reminder of how I do these reaction posts as I watch things. I just write my reactions and thoughts down literally they happen. Think more of a bullet point format. V calling Joonie to ask for him to send him come back to me, the song he sang at D day 🥺🥺🥺 and expressing his sincere appreciation for it and for RM. God, my emotions! Tae wanting to crawl inside Namjoons brain basically is so relatable.

Jimin's little smile when Tae played Alone saying he really liked it 🥺🥺 I LOVE hearing them talk music together. It's his favorite song off Face 🥺🥰

Tae saying it (Face/Alone) reminded him of when they (Vmin) talked in your (Jimins) hotel room. Just for Jimin to say that it was JKs room. This just also gives that little bit of confirmation that Jikook are constantly glued at the hip. Always together. Might as well just get them the one room anyway 😂

Idk what Jimin's thoughts were when he first got in that pool with Jungkook, but he looked mischievous. Idk what he was going to pull, but it was something inappropriate. Lol the way JK immediately reminded him of the see through glass, "hey babe, the staff and cameras will see EVERYTHING you do next, underwater is NOT safe" and the way they both immediately whipped their heads over to look at it and nervously chuckled. Like kids who got caught with their hand in the cookie jar 😅😂🤣

The hand pushing game that competitive JK has never once "attacked" in when against Jimin. 😂

So so many cuts in the pool. Wonder how long they stayed in there playing 🥰

Tae calling the captain over to help him reel the "big fish!" He caught in just for the captain to tell him it was a rock 🤣🤣 Watching the maknae line struggle to fish makes me miss Yoonjin! I need to see Jins reaction to this part of the episode actually lmfao

Not the drone sacrificing itself to the sea 🤣🤣 the confused crew and JKs shook face!!

Tae finally caught 2 fish!! Good job!!! The way he left JM and JK take pictures with his fish like they caught them too 🥺😍🥰

Watching the sunset, Jimin going "this is romantic" 🥺🥺🥺 followed promptly be him getting down to cuddle JK while he records the sunset is so fucking cute.

Jikook cloud watching! This is where they draw their whale cloud picture together 🤣😂 the giggles! They are so precious!!

Tae finally coming to join Jikook in laying down in the boat together (where was he?!) I just love seeing them be so at peace together 🥰🥰🥰 the amount of "I love this" that occured brings me SUCH happiness

Wrap up Thoughts:

A reminder, to also myself that this was filmed Sept 25 - 27th of 2023 and was Chuseok right after they landed 😊 where Tae posted his sunset photo from Jeju that he took while they were on this boat together!

Istg there were so many cuts. I feel like we barely ever got to even see a full conversation. I get that there is 24 hours basically of footage for one day that they trim to an hour of content, but I beg for some continuity. This is why people make analysis posts editors?! You give them too much wiggle room and never a consistent timeline!

Jikook had an extra domestic energy to them this episode, even with all the playing and giggling happening too. Idk what caused the energy shift, maybe just Jimin not feeling sick for once. And with the added bonus of knowing they made the choice to apply for the buddy system too.

They were so cuddly and sweet and observant to each other's ever need. Jimin loves him some biker JK too 😂 and God, JK just never stops calling Jimin pretty. I truly love that for them. So much

The energy with another member around really did just draw out how different Jikooks dynamic is with each other at times.

Say what you want, JKs call with his mother was the sweetest little interlude ever and it absolutely sounded like his mom was calling to confirm he was bringing his boyfriend home for the holiday. Lol I know Jimin went to see his parents too, but that's the energy that call gave! I can't help it!

This was their second trip to Jeju, since they went together in August too. And they flew back home and basically went straight to Busan together to visit their families for Chuseok. I'm so so glad they got to do all that together. I can't wait for the next episode to see how they end their Jeju vacation!

Woo Da-bi: “‘Jeongnyeon’ Was a Turning Point, Working with Kim Tae-ri, Jung Eun-chae, and Shin Ye-eun Felt Like a Dream” [SS Interview①] By Ham Sang-beom Published: 2024.11.28, 6:01 AM

In front of her stood actress Kim Tae-ri, confidently resting a hand on her hip. To one side was the prince-like Jung Eun-chae, and to the other, Shin Ye-eun, a star graduate of Anyang High School of Arts. For rookie actress Woo Da-bi, tvN’s Jeongnyeon was nothing short of a dream come true.

Woo went through four rounds of auditions for the role of Hong Joo-ran, Yoon Jeongnyeon’s (played by Kim Tae-ri) one and only friend. It was a role with substantial screen time and significance that any newcomer would covet. In the early episodes, Joo-ran helps Jeongnyeon settle into the Maeran National Drama Troupe, while later on, she becomes a key figure in Jeongnyeon’s awakening. Woo watched the audition results with a pounding heart.

In an interview with Sports Seoul at a café in Gangnam, Seoul, Woo Da-bi shared, “For the audition, I performed ‘Namwon Fortress’ from the first episode of Jeongnyeon. The judges said, ‘It’s not quite singing or vocalizing, but it’s unique.’ I wasn’t sure if it was a compliment or a critique. I went through four rounds of auditions, and I kept quiet because I didn’t want to jinx it. I just kept thinking, ‘Please, let this be it.’ When I got the part, I was so happy.”

Preparation for the role took six months. Once the cast of Jeongnyeon was confirmed, all the actors headed straight to the practice room, including Woo. The production demanded extensive training in pansori, stage acting, and dancing.

“We received lessons for the play-within-a-play scenes, as well as dance lessons. Led by Tae-ri unni, the Maeran National Drama Troupe truly came together as one. Even though Tae-ri unni was already skilled, she practiced so much. We all gave it our all, not wanting to fall behind.”

At the start of filming, Woo Da-bi wasn’t yet a widely known figure. She admitted to observing the other actors in awe, as if she were a member of the audience, completely captivated by their performances. It was an honor to act alongside Kim Tae-ri, whom she had long admired, Jung Eun-chae, a personal favorite, and Shin Ye-eun, her senior by two years at Anyang High School of Arts.

“Tae-ri unni needs no explanation. She’s probably the number one actress people my age dream of working with. Jung Eun-chae, our prince, is someone I’ve loved as a fan. For a while, she was even my phone wallpaper. Even though I really admire her, I couldn’t bring myself to say it aloud. As for Shin Ye-eun sunbae, she was like the school’s Moon Ok-kyung (Jung Eun-chae’s character)—popular and someone everyone looked up to. Rami Ran sunbae brought so much energy to the set, and director Jung Ji-in, whose work on The Red Sleeve touched my heart deeply, is like a god to me. Just being with them filled me with pride.”

The Complexity of Relationships in Jeongnyeon

Jeongnyeon explores themes of same-sex intimacy. The relationships between Moon Ok-kyung and Seo Hye-rang (Kim Yoon-hye) and between Yoon Jeongnyeon and Hong Joo-ran weave a tapestry of love, friendship, solidarity, and envy. Before leaving the Maeran National Drama Troupe, Hong Joo-ran tells Jeongnyeon, “My one and only prince.” It’s one of the drama’s most memorable lines.

“When I think about my acting career, that scene will probably stand out as one of the most symbolic. Physically, my chest ached while filming it. Even now, I feel like crying when I think about it. The relationship goes beyond friendship; there are such profound emotions there. I think it was love—something truly extraordinary. Tae-ri unni and I didn’t over-rehearse; we just relied on the emotions we felt in the moment. Jeongnyeon has given me so much. It will forever be a turning point in my acting career. I’ll continue to prepare thoroughly and live up to the opportunities I receive.”
