I am so glad the new kdramas are bringing back the specific brand of loser men. You know which brand I'm talking about. The Ahn "min min" Minhyuk brand of loser men and I'm loving it. The "I worship this goddess and I'm so in love with her and I can't believe I get to love her. Oh my gods I love her so much" brand of loser men. And we're being fed so well with lovely runner, love next door, no gain no love, my demon, Cinderella at 2am, Hierarchy, Midnight Romance in Hagwon, doctor slump, Queen of tears, welcome to samdal-ri and even good partner (yes it's one sided but the dedication and yuri's couple too).

We need more fictional loser men who worship women to satiate our eldest independent daughter desires.

Can someone send me some sources as to why Korea loves the "sacrificial separations" trope so much, that it shows itself in almost every single romantic storyline (rarely suiting the plot)? I've heard it is because of the history of familial seperation due to North Korea and South Korea, but it's been so long I feel there might be more to it.

Almost everytime it is unnecessary seperations due to lack of communication. It doesn't make the relationships stronger, it actually makes it more unstable if your partner keeps abandoning you at any sign of trouble.

I loved the show Hidden Love because it was the only show where the couple went through everything together. Why can't Korea also push this instead of the idea that you're not worth fighting for. "I'd rather be miserable, than fight for happiness with you"...

I'm watching a new show called Cinderella at 2am and the reason it's called that is the female lead doesn't want a rich boyfriend or a fairy tale. She asks how Cinderella felt after midnight, was she still excited? Was she ashamed of what would happen if the prince saw her real life? Did she leave the shoe on purpose or was she really trying to get away? After all, she does not reveal her name. I've also seen some posts recently about if Cinderella left the shoe on purpose (from @princesssarisa I think). All of this got me wondering...

I'm thinking more about the classic fairy tale or the Disney's animated version, not a more modern girl-bossy ones. Though there are tons of adaptations of Cinderella so answer however you please.

Cinderella at 2am should do us all a favour, take a page out of No Gain No Love's book and give us a spin off drama about the goofy older chaebol brother who doesn't know how to act towards women but SFL kinda digs this weirdness.

Well getting spoiled about the cancer plot in Love Next Door made me lose interest somewhat, so I started Cinderella at 2am instead and you know WHAT?? It slaps. I was literally complaining like three hours ago that we haven’t had a good classic romcom with no serial killers or diseases in a while and along comes this show. I’m only 2.5 episodes in but it already had the best first episode like ever and then continued to be cute and funny. I’m so excited to continue it.
