Remus' jaw dropped, but he couldn't help the warm and cozy feeling that was growing in his chest.

Imagine Lucemond but in Hogwarts + the mirror of erised.

Sure everyone knows that the two families have a rivalry, that's clearly shown during Quidditch and exam season. But it's an unfortunate Hufflepuff that catches Lucerys and Aemond together in the library. The two are seen being close to one another and whispering. No hate, just simple content conversation.

Nobody believes her of course.

Lucerys refuses to answer any questions, while everyone else is just terrified of asking Aemond anything.

It is few weeks back that Lucerys walks through the hall and finds it to be unnaturally longer. At the end, there's a door, which (with zero self preservation) he opens. 'It must be an attick or storage room' thinks the young man due to the dust and every possible object thrown in it.

It's the pale blue light that catches his eye that makes him come closer.

It's a mirror.

Lucerys looks at himself and visibly startles when he sees a reflection of Aemond standing right behind him. Turning around and finding nothing confuses him even more.

Curiosity, he turns to look once more.

Aemond is still there, but now with hands on his shoulders and an unreadable look on his face. Lucerys sees Aemond lean closer to his ear and whisper something that makes his own reflection blush.

It's as if Lucerys could feel Aemonds breath on the side of his face, hot and all consuming.

He could barely continue looking on as his reflection turns to the taller man and leans closer until-

"Lucerys?"

The young man startles so badly, his heart beating out through his chest.

"Uncle! Do not scare me so! How are you even here?"

"You're quiet unperceptive of your surroundings and I just noticed you going in and decided to follow."

Ah... Now it's just a matter of leaving and forgetting the mirror and it's possibilities. Possibilities that the young man allowed himself to indulge with only in the darkness of his bed, with everyone else deeply asleep. Lucerys turns to go but is stopped by a question:

"What do you see in it?"

"You know what it is?"

"It should show you your deepest desires."

Lucerys blushes and turns do go away without answering but the sharp hold on his wrist stops him.

"What do you see?"

Thanking it was now or never he answers:

"You."

Aemond looks startled with his respond but soon looses his grip before taking Lucerys' hand in his.

"Good."

And it's the surest promise Lucerys ever heard.
