My Helluva Hot Take is I want Millie to get an abortion. Ik lots of ppl think an M&M baby would be cute, and that’s fine, whatever. But I think with everything going on in the world it’d be a good message to send, that yeah Millie got an abortion & that’s okay.

When Millie reveals that she's pregnant, she's unsure of what to do and hasn't even told Moxxie. While it could be pre-birth jitters many women have when they first learn they're pregnant, she might have more to fear.

Her and Moxxie's line of work is a very dangerous one. There's no guarantee that they can survive every mission they get, leaving their kid a potential orphan should Millie choose to give birth. But I.M.P has many enemies in Hell who're out for their blood, be it Striker, Crimson and of course Andrealphus, whose ass they kicked literally just hours prior. Millie has more to be worried about outside the typical pregnancy fears.

What if LOONA finds the pregnancy test and thinks that it's a- Stolas's and is like "well shit, guess I have to be a big sister to two owl children "

Do not get me wrong I get it to an extend. Making a person end up pregnant in media who has, throughout the entire time, expressed the want to not get pregnant is weird and there is definetly a lot of media that... does it wrong. I'm not dumb. I see it, too.

but a character getting pregnant in general is... not bad? It doesn't take away from a character (especially not if written right) and why shouldn't it happen?

This is mostly in general but I'm also again thinking about when a lot of people thought Mel will be pregnant. At first I was also like "no way, no way are they doing that trope".

but the more I think about it the more I'm like

"Why ever not?"

Mel never expressed NOT wanting to be pregnant, getting pregnant wouldn't go against her character and it would've been sweet had it happened. At times a lot of people take this stuff so far that they bite themselves into their asses and hurt the cause they try to stand up for. A person being pregnant does not destroy them, it doesn't have to take away from their character if done right, it can even ADD a lot of things to them as a person. And it makes for a good, engaging story, (again if done right) do not even try to say it doesn't.

I also do not wish to become pregnant and that's fine. Just as it is for people to want that. At this point it is just getting weird. You are not advocating for a strong character anymore you are advocating for a lonely shell of one.

If you watched the episode, notice how much it took Blitz to get Loona a VACCINE.

Hell's healthcare system is horrible. Specially for the lower class. Now imagine how Millie might feel, since she comes from a poor family from Wrath, learning about this baby. She is aware that, even if she doesnt want to keep the baby, she cant afford it, and if she wants to keep it, it's also going to cost a lot. There's a risk in both decisions and that's why Millie ends up crying and asking Sallie May for help. Because Millie feels she will be a burden regardless.

And since there's confirmation that season 3 will dwell more into Millie's past and story, i feel the theories about her having a previous baby/miscarriage are somehow correct

Anyways, pregnancy is not fun and im glad Helluva is touching it! How scary and traumatic it can be, specially if you are someone who isnt ready. Whatever Millie decides, it's up to her only

It guinely bothers me how many people (including women) are literally incapable of understanding that a happily married woman can be unhappy and/or scared about a pregnancy.

I mean, for one there's Millie's carreer and unstable finanical situation, but honestly, a woman can be the most carreer and finanically stable happily married person alive and STILL not want kids. Why is that so hard to understand for some people!?

Even women who do wants kids are often still scared when an (unplanned) pregnancy actually happens, because pregnancies are TERRIFYING even for people who do want them.

We don't know Millie's canon reason yet for not knowing what to do, but what we do know is that she's scared and the least people can do is at least try and pretend like they see women as people and not as baby making machines.

I’d be pleasantly surprised if they go the abortion route it feels like shows never do that but I feel like more shows should and I think Viv is bold enough to go that path
