In this gif below, Soap is wearing just a regular radio with wired earbuds. military radios are much larger than regular chest radios like you usually see with police officers, but that doesn’t mean the military doesn’t use them!

October 7th, 2023: Princess Leonor's Oath of Allegiance to the Flag

The new cadets at the General Academy of Zaragoza will take the Oath to the Flag on Saturday, the 7th of October.

The Oath to the Flag is the most significant event in military life, when the cadets kiss the flag and pledge to defend Spain, even at the expense of their own life.

Princess Leonor will take the Oath with the 411 new cadets, unlike her father, for whom a special ceremony was held at the same General Military Academy of Zaragoza in 1985. Wearing the gala uniform, the General Director of the Academy will ask them the following, to which the new cadets will answer in unision "Yes, we do swear it":

“¡Caballeros y Damas Alféreces Cadetes, Cadetes y Alumnos! ¿Juráis por Dios o prometéis por vuestra conciencia y honor cumplir fielmente vuestras obligaciones militares, guardar y hacer guardar la Constitución como norma fundamental del Estado, obedecer y respetar al Rey y a vuestros jefes, no abandonarlos nunca y, si preciso fuera, entregar vuestra vida en defensa de España?”

(“Gentlemen and Ladies Ensigns Cadets, Cadets and Students! The King and Queen will preside over the Oath of Allegiance and Princess Leonor will be the first cadet to kiss the flag. His Majesty and the director of the Academy will deliver a speech. Each cadet can invite up to six guests and it is not known yet if any other member of the Princess family will attend the ceremony (It has been confirmed that her sister will remain at school in Wales and won't be able to attend)

I know some of us like to pepper Gaelic endearments into our ghostsoap from time to time and I thought hey! Maybe I should finally share my little headcanon as to how Soap even came about knowing the language in the first place:

I like to think that his granny (who raised him and his siblings) was from the Inner Hebrides and grew up using it. She moved to the lowlands after marrying, became a Gaelic-medium teacher. Thus, Soap attended the school she taught at and had a Gaelic-medium education throughout primary. (Gme students are taught completely in Gaelic from p1-p3 with English being incorporated later.) While not continuing it in secondary, he still had a fluent adult at home keeping the language fresh in his mind. That’s. The bare bones of it anyway.

Anyway I wanted to share this because I’ve seen the occasional person say it’s ridiculous to suddenly see him speaking Gaelic in fics (which is a very fair point of course. few people are immersed in it, it remains a threatened language) but the thought of someone who wanted to include it in their work who then might not because of this is disheartening. Should they do the proper research beforehand, it is plausible when given the right ingredients.

It’s a language that should be celebrated, not discouraged, especially given the history. Having a character know it just really depends on the different factors you throw into their backstory. Even if the author doesn’t explain it, it should then be up to the reader to assume he’s not just pulling the language out of thin air. Idk, if call of duty fanfic of all things can expose people to Gàidhlig and garner interest in some to learn a bit of the language, I just. That is a good thing

I am once again so disappointed with the leftist demonazis constantly spewing nonsensical drivel every time they don't like someone elses opinion. They don't report the news but continuously give us their opinions on everything. The 5ws are desperately needed to stop their propaganda. We can include the woke organizations like Disney and Hollywood movie makers for spreading propaganda for the demonazis.

• Once in power, Adolf Hitler created a Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda to shape German public opinion behavior.

▪︎Nazi propaganda played an integral role in advancing the persecution and ultimately the destruction of Europe’s Jews and all political Dissidents. It incited hatred and fostered a climate of indifference to their fate.

Think of how the demonazis allowed the likes of BLM and ANTIFA to destroy many cities. No action was taken by those in power to stop the destruction or prosecute the perpetrators. Then remember the hissy fit they had when they allowed, yes demonazis allowed, Republican protester into the capital. The demonazis prosecuted 100s of peaceful republican protesters. If the republican protesters were acting like BLM and ANTIFA the Capitol would be a smoking ruin.

Through decrees and laws, the Nazis abolished these civil rights and destroyed German democracy. Starting in 1934, it was illegal to criticize the Nazi government. Even telling a joke about Hitler was considered treachery. People in Nazi Germany could not say or write whatever they wanted. 

Examples of censorship under the Nazis included:

• Closing down or taking over anti-Nazi newspapers; 

• Controlling what news appeared in newspapers, on the radio, and in newsreels;

• Banning and burning books that the Nazis categorized as un-German.

• Textbooks are a good example of how propaganda and censorship worked together in the Nazi regime. The Nazis used both propaganda and censorship to control what students read in school. Nazi censors removed some textbooks from classrooms. New textbooks taught students to obey the Nazi Party, love Hitler, and hate Jews.

The demonazis took over education with the creation of the Department of education in 1979.

The Higher Education Act of 1965 introduced federal student aid and loan programs. These give away programs allowed higher education to run amuk with ever increasing cost of degrees. This needs to stop now.

Demonazis try to stop the political middle and right from voicing their opinions by controlling who can and can't post on many social media sight. Censorship at it worst. Thank God Elon Musk bought out Twitter and turned it into X. No more censorship there. Of course the demonazis scream foul.

We The People who love the United States of America must stand by her in her hour of desperate need. If we don't our great country is doomed. Hey, have you ever examined the deep fear, paranoia, and shame you feel whenever you try to examine or voice something you feel deep down that you're worried someone else might take issue with? Don't you feel bad about all the subtle ways it renders you less able to know yourself, love yourself, express yourself, and advocate for yourself? If you're thinking about all that social anxiety horror that Super Eye Patch Wolf just talked about, and if you're so utterly afraid of standing out or going against the crowd--this is related to that.

It's probably because you think it's good to call someone out before it's proven that they are knowingly and willfully causing harm. It's probably because you think people should be punished if they harm someone period, even if it was by accident or without knowing. Even if it might have just been a misunderstanding and no real harm done was anyone's fault. And it's only fair that the same standard applies to you as well, isn't it?

It's probably because you've internalized that your value as a human being deserving of love and community can be reduced or eliminated if you say something wrong enough loudly enough. It's probably because, even if you do not ascribe to thought crime, and you agree that we should not demonize ourselves or each other for our own thoughts and feelings as long as we put in the work to be good with our actions, you tripped at the finish line when you forgot about the basic fact of human psychology that we can't translate negative thoughts into positive action without being able to speak about it openly in a space where others will truly understand how we feel, and not just skip straight to the part where feeling that way is already cringe before you've actually fully internalized your own growth past it.

It's probably because you have privilege as someone who has ever had access to real friends/family who stand by you no matter what heinous shit you say or do, and that privilege has enabled you to learn a lot very quickly about how to appear as a good person in society, because those friends/family allowed you to actually feel supported as a human being with feelings before you knew better, which is a hard prerequisite to ever knowing better, and you have not examined that privilege.

It's probably because you think you can sniff out who's good or bad just on vibes and act as judge, jury, and executioner, instead of focusing on harm reduction for anyone who you know was hurt and learning some hard realities about human interaction. For example, being ignorant is not the same as acting on that ignorance. Voicing ignorance without aggression and then being willing to learn something is actually a good thing for others to view in public, because it teaches valuable lessons to everyone paying attention, and anyone who feels validated and empowered to be shitty from such an exchange was just looking for an excuse.

I think this knowledge is something that we feminists should stand for. Anti-militancy. I know it's hard to tell here on this gremlin-ass modern internet for many of us due to circumstances beyond our control, but when you actually go outside and have friends IRL, you'll notice that feminine people out there already understand most of this.

Remember when we used to talk about being tolerant of everything except intolerance? Well, this is part of that. You're not supposed to dehumanize someone and ignore their feelings just for sounding racist one time. You're supposed to try to educate them or, failing that, practice harm reduction (which can escalate into a callout if they're truly a bad actor). Punching nazis is for when you literally fucking know that someone is willfully being harmful (perhaps because they're platforming hate). Most of them don't just cosplay as nazis in easy ways to pick out. That's why fascists are so insidious and good at infiltrating spaces. Each of us has a desperate hope that I am the one, it's me, I can be able to know at a glance who is good or bad, without taking the time and effort to get to know them first. And they prey on that. They use that to make us fight each other instead of them.

This post was inspired by the many times I have been dogpiled and ostracized for openly using language in autistic ways that have been confused for bigotries or insensitivities that just weren't in my speech or my thoughts (usually because those doing the dogpiling put words in my mouth, didn't parse a sentence correctly, or just decided to be ableist and go off vibes instead of what I very openly say). I have another question, but then for different CoD reader insert. So, I want to write that reboot Soap wear his uniform (the uniform that he wears t-shirt, modular medical vest, etc) for shy! reader for.... roleplay and do it in their home. But then I thought "is Soap allowed to wear his uniform in his free time?" I don't know if he's also allowed to keep his gear, weapons and stuff in his and reader's home. So that's why I ask you.

ofc, i’m always happy to answer!!! reminder i’m answering from an american POV, so it might be different for other countries.

Service members are not allowed to keep their gear and service weapons in their home, but you do take your uniform home. HOWEVER, you can buy airsoft replicas of gear or just overall fake gear in general. i own a some multicams (greenland/frogs uniform) and i’m (at the moment) a civilian. i also own a replica vest.

my advice is to offhand mention he bought replicas for the roleplay, OR! after all, it’s fanfiction so you can quite literally just ignore reality and have him take his stuff home anyway LMAO

The governor… I think his name is Shitt? From what I can read of it is saying he's going to make graduating from high school mandatory. But also if you want to graduate from high school, you have to either be enrolled in college/university or a trade school or the military.

So guess what happens if you can't afford college/university (or don't have the grades for it) and you also can't afford to trade school or are physically unable to do it?

Forced military service. And again you can't even drop out to avoid it. He wants to make it mandatory to have a high school diploma.

The orders, “Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government” and “Ending Radical Indoctrination in K-12 Schools,” explicitly target what the administration calls “DEI” (diversity, equity, and inclusion), pushing for de facto Don’t Say Gay policies in classrooms and mandating the removal of materials perceived to promote “gender ideology.” The DoDEA memo reflects this agenda, stating that it has initiated a review of library books across more than 100 school systems to screen for content related to “gender ideology or discriminatory equity ideology topics.” This memo, which was quietly republished on the DoDEA website, also details the agency’s intent to comply with prohibitions on recognizing or celebrating “cultural awareness months.” It was signed by Director Beth Schiavino-Narvaez, who, despite the restrictive policies outlined, concluded the memo with a statement claiming that DoDEA remains “committed to fostering a learning environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed in a dynamic world.”

No specific details were provided in the memo regarding which materials would be removed from schools. However, Stars and Stripes reported that eight materials have already been identified for removal, including A Nation of Immigrants and Becoming Nicole, a biography of Nicole Maines detailing her life as a transgender woman.
