Santoro e la NATO

Ci siamo. Mancano poche ore alle elezioni e sono ancora nella indecisione su chi votare. Uno dei nomi che più mi attira è la vedova di Giulietto chiesa, Fiammetta Cucurnia. Che però ha scelto di presentare la sua candidatura in un partito moderato come quello di Michele Santoro ( Pace, Terra e Dignità).

Pur rispettando la figura di Raniero La Valle , intellettuale di grande spessore che affianca Santoro in questo progetto,

Non posso che sottolineare le contraddizioni e le ambiguità di questo progetto,

la cui nascita ha generato la spaccatura del progetto " Unione Popolare" che comprendeva Rifondazione Comunista, Potere al Popolo, altre piccole forze e la guida di De Magistris .

La spaccatura è avvenuta proprio sul nodo del pacifismo, essendo Santoro contrario a una uscita unilaterale dell'Italia dalla NATO.

Il disaccordo sulla necessità di sostenere in ogni modo la resistenza palestinese contro lo Stato sionista israeliano e nel chiamare genocidio la strage israeliana a Gaza.

il disaccordo sulla necessità di considerare la NATO la prima responsabile di ogni guerra nel mondo e di chiederne la fine senza se e senza ma.

Una non chiara collocazione alternativa nei confronti del centrosinistra in Italia ed in Europa.

Questi sono stati i principali punti che hanno convinto PaP e De Magistris a non aderire al progetto " Pace Terra Dignità"

Le posizioni di Santoro sulla NATO sono andate delineandosi più chiaramente negli ultimi giorni grazie ad alcune interviste.

Possiamo tranquillamente evidenziare che la permanenza nella NATO significa automaticamente opporsi a una politica del disarmo.

Non possiamo dimenticare che Santoro non disse neppure una parola per sostenere il Referendum contro l'invio degli armamenti, anche se pubblicamente si è dichiarato contrario al continuare ad inviare armi in particolare nel teatro di guerra Ucraino.

In ultimo mettiamo in evidenza come Santoro ci tenga a ribadire che il suo progetto politico NON si colloca nella Sinistra.

Michele Santoro si candida alle elezioni europee. Lo farà con il suo movimento ‘Pace, Terra, dignità’, nato con l’obiettivo di raccogliere le istanze del pacifismo italiano in vista della tornata...

"Non siamo una lista di sinistra e soprattutto non vogliamo rifondarla"

Il Verbo " Rifondare " non è stato usato a caso da Santoro essendo "Rifondazione Comunista" la forza che ha permesso al Frontman di raccogliere le firme in tutte le circoscrizioni.

Non conosciamo gli accordi presi tra Rifondazione e Santoro ma appare evidente che Rifondazione ha dovuto cedere molto rispetto al proprio programma politico ( sulla NATO in primis) e rispetto al percorso compiuto ( cestinare anni e anni di lavoro per costituire Unione Popolare) .

Saranno state fatte forse considerazioni sul fatto che il potere mediatico di Santoro sia l'unica cosa che renda possibile sperare nel superamento della soglia di sbarramento.

Vista l'età elevata degli attivisti di Rifondazione questa è stata probabilmente l'ultima volta che il partito ha potuto rendere possibile il miracolo di una raccolta firme su base nazionale.

Sappiamo bene che eleggere almeno un europarlamentare garantisce l'accesso a benefici economici e logistici che sono puro ossigeno per un piccolo partito.

Ritengo pertanto, personalmente, che questa sia per Rifondazione la mossa della disperazione finale dopo il fallimento nel 2022 dell'intesa con , Addirittura! , il Movimento 5 Stelle.

Oggi il Prc, assieme a Potere al Popolo, sta varando Unione popolare, con alla guida Luigi De Magistris. La speranza ora è fare fronte con Giuseppe Conte

Riguardo infine alle scelte delle candidature…

La candidatura di Alessandra Guerra ( ex governatrice del Friuli in quota Lega) nelle liste di Santoro e di vari ex M5S tra cui Marta Grande e Piernicola Pedicini, sembrano confermare l'intenzione di andare verso un superamento degli " steccati ideologici".

È una tendenza questa, interessante da osservare, che accomuna tutte le new entries di queste elezioni europee,

Da Marco Rizzo, che si abbraccia con Alemanno,

a Cateno De Luca che mette assieme di tutto, dagli ex M5S agli ex CasaPound.

Bisogna osservare che questo tentativo di superamento delle categorie destra sinistra non avviene a mio avviso in modo ragionato e analizzato,

Non avviene tra una " sinistra rifondata" e una " destra depurata" ..

È una tendenza che nasce senza una nuova visione del mondo a supportarla, senza alcuna speranza dunque di portare a un reale superamento del 900.

Un superamento che sarebbe reso possibile soltanto da una riflessione seria e approfondita sui motivi antropologici che hanno reso la storia del genere umano una storia fatta di violenza , di guerre e di sangue, in una evoluzione all'interno di una forma mentis bellica che è arrivata fino ad oggi.

Questo, che non è un problema ma IL problema " il partito della Pace" non ha nessuna intenzione di affrontarlo né in profondità né in superficie.

Ma del resto non l'ha mai fatto nessuno , tranne Gandhi e Mandela.

Poscritto:

mi rendo conto di aver espresso solo e soltanto critiche nella mia analisi. Non posso tuttavia prevedere il futuro di questo progetto. È ben vero che le basi di partenza non sembrano incoraggianti ma se questo soggetto passasse la soglia di sbarramento potrebbe forse essere una base per poter costruire qualcosa in seguito .

Voglio concludere così, per il rispetto dovuto allo sforzo straordinario espresso dagli attivisti nel raccogliere le firme necessarie. Una impresa che era davvero molto ardua e che deve essere riconosciuta, apprezzata e valorizzata.

Milan to hold peaceful protest against wars in Ukraine, Gaza

Italian politician and former MEP, Michele Santoro, announced on X a peaceful rally against the war in Gaza and Ukraine.

Santoro announced a peaceful protest in the city of Milan on his official X account. The rally will take place at Piazza San Babila, a city square in Milan, at 5:30 p.m. local time, according to the announcement.

In April, Santoro called on Italy to “get out of the war [in Ukraine] as the Constitution requires.”

What I propose is to get out of the war as the Constitution requires.

He also criticised European and US authorities for not doing enough to achieve peace in Europe, calling for more attention to be paid to developing peace initiatives.

There is an important reason why this war must continue: to bring Europe to its knees, to write it off as a political and economic giant.

Peace advocates marched through the streets of Bologna on April 25, carrying flags and placards, calling on the Italian and EU leadership to cease the military “fever” sweeping European countries.

In his recent YouTube video, Santoro reported that one hundred thousand Italians were signing a petition against the war to be sent to parliament. He also claimed that the war in Ukraine had a negative impact on Italian politics.

Extremely Lacklustre but Still Binge-worthy

As a huge Teen Wolf lover, watching Wolf Pack felt extremely nostalgic. It wasn't just because it's a werewolf TV show or another one of Jeff Davis's works. It's also because of the soundtrack choices. However, shockingly enough, I did not expect to enjoy this TV show as much as I did. In fact, I was skeptical because of its "legacy".

So yeah, don't go into Wolf Pack expecting Teen Wolf and then maybe, or most probably, you will enjoy this TV show the way it is.

Wolf Pack is a short TV show with only 8 episodes. The show started out with two bangs, the fire and the bites. And these two bangs became the constant question marks to these 8 episodes. Each episode was filled with so much suspense and not much was being answered. You really only get your answers in the last two episodes and even so, there remained a question unanswered, who was the "No Caller ID".

Now, lets discuss the whole storyline of Wolf Pack. It really is not the most interesting werewolf storyline out there. Our werewolves are as confused as us watchers. And despite the show's title, the pack was just not packing 90% of the time. Additionally, there is a serious lack of action, it's almost annoying to not see our werewolves in action at all. And I really would have liked watching more of the kids rather than the adults... Ultimately, the binge factor of this TV show was the mystery. Who started it? Why was it started? How did it happen? Were they chosen specifically, because wasn't Austin attacked first yet how come he survived unscathed (physically, not mentally)?

As a first season, this was acceptable but if this style continues on to a next season, then I have more complains.

I understand due to the strike, there will not be any news of Wolf Pack's future, not until the studios do the right thing and give the actors and writers what they deserve. And as much as I want a future for this show, the studios need to do the right thing more. I cannot do anything because I am not in either community so I will just hope for the best.

Which brings me to, if/when the best happens, please don't make the father a werewolf or them a couple. I don't like that possible future aspect at all, not one bit. You know what? I also do not like the possibility of her being part of the "good team"; right from episode one, she has been giving me villain vibes. I will not name who she is but I believe I made it obvious enough.

P.S.: I watched this show for Harlan and Cyrus (these two have extremely sick chemistry, it's maddening) so here's to me hoping there's a bright future for them.
