a thing I love in translation is when a word has more nuance than its destination language can express in a single word so it takes more words in translation to get across the meaning of a single word

pro tip for people who want to write spanish speaking characters speaking spanish / using spanish pet names just look up already existing terms of endearment don’t plug in english petnames into an english to spanish translation and using that its not going to give the same effect
