FURIOUS at the Misogynists and Lesbophobes in OM Fandom

A few recent confessions about Thirteen made me MATI so this is my rant.

Thirteen still does traps on MC, she is still a prankster and inventor, but she gets sidelined hella hard and is usually limited to one or two cameos with MC or a brief interaction with other characters. She's never going to be antagonistic to MC.

Girl is not their priority despite being a love interest. She gets shoved in the background or not sexualized even when male characters get a ton of stupid fanservice. I can only assume the artists and writers are walking on eggshells with her because of lesbophobes and misogynists or shallowly appealing to the "We're different! We don't sexualize women 😁"

She has feelings for MC the fastest because they get along and she's attracted to them. Their chemistry is explored quickly in Chats in OM, but I doubt most of you will reach those because of how late in the series the newbies appeared.

She asks them on dates and shows up "by coincidence" A LOT because she likes them and wants to spend time with ONLY THEM frequently. In events she only shows up for MC (or texts them) and then gets shoved out of the story entirely because OhHhHh she's sooooooo antisocial~ Despite initially being reluctant to game with MC, the bros and Mephisto she really enjoyed it and their company!

Thirteen likes MC's bedroom whereas Mephisto was unimpressed with MC's room and insulted it.

She didn't go googoo gaga for no reason about MC, MC's soul is beautiful and attracted her. She wants to have it "when you're done with it" instead of reaping it. How in the hell does that imply she doesn't want to let them go? JUST LIKE THE BROS AND SIDES.

ANOTHER THING. Thirteen doesn't like people dropping in at her house and doesn't invite them either. She invites MC in chats to see her and I wish that MC would visit her more.

THIRTEEN WAS THE ONLY ONE IN THE SIDES AFFECTED BY MISSING MC. She loves them and misses them as well as let them close to her when already stated she's anti-social and aloof. She has a broken heart button on her RAD uniform that she sewed on herself along with the other heart buttons. It makes me wonder about her past and that she's opened herself up to MC and love even though her heart was/is broken.

And if MC isn't into things like cosmetics, shopping and other "girly" interests it's possibly to reject her/hanging out. She likes to treat them to coffee, desserts and shopping trips whereas multiple other characters use that as bribes or rewards or leeching off MC's wallet.

Mephistopheles has a low opinion of MC and Raphael is indifferent to them. Suddenly getting feelings in events makes no fucking sense.

Mephistopheles opens up to MC in the main story and contacted them to brag about his brother, but in his birthday call on year 2 he is suddenly into them and wants to get to know them???

Raphael isn't even friendly with MC in the story, the Raphael we met has been Michael in two out of three instances. He suddenly starts talking about "feeling something for MC" when he went up against Barbatos who was the hardest won Love Interest in the game.

Fuck off, seriously fuck off with the homophobia/misogyny. She is our love interest not yours and not a rival or antagonist.

Shipping Thirteen with any of the scrotes ROYALLY pisses me off because I HATE straight couples and M/F. I kept that to myself, for the most part, but if some of you are hating on shippers for shipping gay couples and exclusively want your scrotes to yourselves Thirteen fans can too. Stop shipping the one female option off in male relationships when it's literally just to get her away from your man. Making up a male MC or a political lesbian MC is BULLSHIT and looking for attention and asspats for being inclusive.

Po/rn is an inherently misogynistic and objectifying exploitation of women's bodies and sexuality and should not EVER be used to make sexy art of women in my opinion. One of the pics I hate most is her jerking off two faceless/mob characters in a subjugated pose. That was backhanded, hateful and degrading.

Mephisto

People with Agatha All Along theories on other places besides tumblr (you guys get me) are always talking about Mephisto. They say he has to show up because they mentioned him.

I think they are trolling us. I know Mephisto was supposedly cast for Ironheart. So I guess a cameo is possible. But I think the trails, fighting Salem 7, and fighting Death(???) is more than enough stuff to fill the remaining episodes. We also need reveals about Teen and Nicholas, and they said Evanora Harkness was coming back (I assume in flashback) but that's a whole other storyline.

It seems overcomplicated to add Mephisto.

I know people keep saying there are two title cards in the closing credits that don't have names yet. But they seem kind of in the middle so I wouldn't expect them to be big names? Like ti could just be Kate Forbes (who plays Evanora) or the people who are supposed to play "Teen's" parents.

Top Ten Funniest Moments in the MCU

I’m about halfway through my planned re-watch of all the Fox-produced Marvel movies (the various mutant-related films, the Fantastic Fours, and Daredevil/Elektra). I’m doing this to soak up as much of the universe as I can before the release of Deadpool and Wolverine at the end of next month. Partly just coz, but also because if I know one thing about Deadpool, it’s that he likes biting the hand that feeds him. A studio being bought, its IP strip-mined, and a cinematic universe flushed away in order to reboot the X-Men within the more-successful MCU? He’s bound to make a few gags about that, right?

So I was thinking, initially, of doing a Top Ten about characters that might cameo – or be referenced – in D&W. Y’know, bring back James Marsden as Cyclops but then do absolutely nothing with him and have him killed off-screen; that sort of thing. I mean, the trailer appears to feature characters as random as Pyro, Lady Deathstrike, and Azazael. But then I thought that wasn’t really very interesting, if for no other reason than I don’t actually think the film will be a cameo-fest. There have been quite a few movies and shows now where us – the rabid Marvel fanbase – got ourselves worked up into a lather at the multiversal possibilities (remember the Mephisto fever around WandaVision?). So I’ve got a funny feeling that D&W will actually turn out to have a relatively straightforward story, rather than just be something that bounces crazily from one Fox property to another.

Far better, I thought, to highlight something that the Deadpool movies are very good at: comedy. One of the defining characteristics, really, of the MCU was its sense of humour, right from the start; Downey’s semi-improvised wisecracks and Jon Favreau’s aptitude at directing comedy helped make Iron Man very distinct from the very serious likes of the X-Men films, Daredevil, and Nolan’s Batman trilogy (The Dark Knight came out the same summer as Iron Man, both big superhero films about arrogant billionaires wearing suits of armour, and yet the two are tonally quite different). Anyway, whilst very few MCU films actually go all-out for comedy the way the Deadpool movies do (and, of course, never as caustically), the point is the MCU has always been very funny.

And so, to celebrate Deadpool – which is funny – I’m going to look at the funniest moments in the MCU. Of course – of course – humour is entirely subjective, so I’m sure there are some weird lines here that hardly anyone else finds amusing; similarly, I bet there are some really big laughs that I’m leaving out. These are my favourite rib-tickling moments, across sixteen years and thirty-odd films (plus TV shows!).

So there you go. comedy plus superheroes equals, er, more comedy? I dunno. Oh, and I decided halfway through to arbitrarily limit this to one moment per film, just because I wanted to include as much variety as possible. So we lose “is he though?” from Ragnarok, for instance, as well the brilliant “I hate it here, they are so weird” exchange with a henchman in Iron Man 3. Also, funnily enough, I didn’t really remember that many properly hilarious bits from the Ant-Man films, despite them being the closest I think the MCU has gotten to a full-throated comedy so far. And unfortunately I didn’t quite find room – or the right line to reference it – for the trick arrow sequence from Hawkeye. Or a line from Kamala Khan! Sorry, Ms. Marvel!

Let’s get giggling.

“Piss off, ghost!” (Thor: Ragnarok, 2017): ah, Korg. Full of great lines, and Ragnarok might be the MCU’s funniest film. So much to pick from, but his wild – and far too late – attack on Loki’s bit of astral projection, impotently kicking the place where the illusion had been, left me reeling. There’s just something about swearing in that Kiwi accent.

“This place would look like a Jackson Pollock painting.” (Guardians of the Galaxy, 2014): Guardians has a Star Wars aura to it, except it’s scabrous and filthy. Despite the MCU’s first F-bomb in Guardians 3, I think this remains the dirtiest joke in the whole saga.

“Why is Gamora?” (Avengers: Infinity War, 2018): different film, same Guardians, and Drax has been a stand-out from the star, his literalness preventing him from getting any number of references. I could have picked the zarg nuts bit, but this refrain might be the film’s funniest moment.

“I wouldn’t go in there for twenty minutes!” (Iron Man 3, 2013): yes, the poo joke is funny, and everything about Ben Kingsley’s performance as Trevor, Trevor Slattery – the toast of Croydon – is masterful. But it’s the whole reveal, really, that’s funny; the film amps up to this big confrontation, then the rug is pulled in spectacular fashion.

“America’s ass.” (Avengers: Endgame, 2019): Scott’s adoration of Steve is a running gag in the movies, as is Tony ripping on everyone. The initial “ass” moment therefore is very funny and on-brand. But the icing on the cake is when Steve himself echoes the sentiment.

“Puny god,” (The Avengers, 2012): it kinda feels like Avengers was the film that finally nailed the Hulk, and this moment really caps it off. Vainglorious Loki gets his comeuppance, battered across the floor like a ragdoll, Hulk giving us basically his only lines in the film, a twist on his “puny human” refrain from the comics. Lol.

“Agatha All Along!” (WandaVision, 2021): like the Mandarin reveal, the whole twist in WandaVision is in itself somewhat humorous, but the reveal is the true delight, showing us the hidden truth with Agatha’s own theme tune. The button at the end? “And I killed Sparky too!”

“They also scream quite a lot.” (Thor: Love and Thunder, 2022): this line sums up this fantastic, OTT recurring gag in Love and Thunder: the screaming goats. Basically they’re massive goats who scream – loudly – a lot. It’s what I call an “Austin’s piss” joke: it goes on far too long, way past being funny, until it becomes funny again.

“Oh, for god’s sake.” (Avengers: Age of Ultron, 2015): this might need a bit of explaining, but basically James Spader plays Ultron with a beautiful note of frustrated exasperation, best expressed when Hulk flings him from a Quinjet, this quite soft exclamation coming from off-screen. It’s like a funny sigh.

“I was at a wine tasting…” (Ant-Man, 2015): Ant-Man is mostly a comedy, and quite funny throughout, but arguably the stand-out is Michael Peña’s Luis, whose stream-of-consciousness, too-much-information explanations are coupled with great stylised flashbacks. It’s such an hilarious motif it’s shocking they couldn’t find room for it in Quantumania.

There we go – funny! I’m distraught that I couldn’t find room for the Guardians Holiday Special though. It would either have been one of the songs, or Groot’s presents.

I haven't watched the episodes yet (was waiting to finish exams) but if she doesn't appear I get the feeling the disappointment by all those fans is gonna ruin the show (or at least ruin the fandom experience online) because it's gotten to an insane degree. like for me, if she does appear (and if they do her right) I would genuinely be so happy and excited, but I’ve been looking forward to this show for a long time for a variety of other reasons outside of daisy. 

It honestly feels like ppl are just watching for her possible cameo (because that’s all they’re talking about) and it’s gonna be like wandavision with Mephisto again. 

it’s cool to try and predict things and of course people want their faves to appear in more projects but when it gets to this point, the disappointment if it DOESN’T happen will be immense. 

Wandavision was flawed because of certain things, but a lot of the criticism after the final episode was mostly people butthurt that no great cameos took place just because random online sources suggested they might. Like...if you were disappointed by THAT, that’s kind of your own fault. 

it’s also ironic because people hated on aos and were disappointed by it because the avengers weren’t appearing in it at all. The cast even commented on that. Hopefully people learn 

HOWEVER, the resurgence of the aos fandom and seeing more people willing to give the show a try and seeing a lot of excitement has been fun!! I truly hope it stays that way!! Whether she shows up or not!

N/A: Here we go. I´m tempted in making this a continuation of my Krampus au or my drabble, yet, I want to do something new here. Also, Santa here is professional but a freak in the sheet (THERE´S A NICHE WHERE SANTA FUCKS) also, would be racist if Santa attends to all holidays?

There´s an old saying, perhaps not as old as people made out to be, where it goes more or less like this- interpretations may vary and change a word or two- "love conquers all" and is the pure expression of the truth ever since Jean Grey and Scott Summers´s marriage change the course of history forever. Mutants are no longer seen as a threat and there´s no more social prejudice against mutants.

Is this heaven? Far from it. Mutants and Humans are the same sides of the coin- there´re mutants cable of doing more damage than a human can dream and of course, there´re humans that can respond to such violence with the same requiem - and Kitty Pryde is the one living this new reality among all the mutants of the second generation.

I saw the worse.

I saw the good.

And now I´m drifting meaninglessly.

Her body sludge down on the chair. Letting her foot touch the downy floor while the clock ticks and tack a loud sound- her eyes travel towards all the points in the waiting room. From the receptionist doing her work to the big closed door- and Kitty Pryde can see her reflection on the only mirror present. She was never one to put fashion above all, not even in such a situation. Wearing just a white shirt, short jeans and a yellow jacket wide open.

Then her land on the few magazines on display. Different magazines. Same story. Jean and Scott´s wedding was a fantastic story, but, sadly it has one unhappy ending. A man bursting into the church to confess his love for Jean Grey- Jubilee and Kitty was sure Logan would be the one to cause such scene- it was Prof X declaring his undying love for Jean Grey. It is still a nice gossip.

“When a father lusts over his son´s girlfriend” Kitty reads one of the main topics of the magazine. Repugnance is clear in her face and body language.

Another magazine has images of Prof X after his confession and even promised an exclusive interview with the man to explain himself. Kitty rolls her eyes at that- she reminisces when Bobby asks her to come to the wedding as his plus one. His boyfriend and he break up before the big day and Bobby didn´t want to go alone. And they only talk about Prof X and his revelation. The man was in love with a woman he raises since she was a kid- her cellphone rings softly. And has a message from her friends.

The receptionist has red hair. Too similar to her ex- Kitty meets Rachel Grey by accident. She was from a group called Excalibur. The relationship lasts a few months until Rachel and her group leave. Looking back. it was for the best-She recalls vividly an alternative version of herself who was looking at the relationship with confusion. And looking back again, Kitty can see why- and the woman is now looking at her. Was she always a red hair or is her succubus power kicking in? "Santa called...you can enter now, Miss Pryde" and the sultry smile is a tad similar to her ex. A tad bit only.

"Thanks" Kitty shurgs off and goes without looking back. If the succubus receptionist looks at Kitty going or not is her problem now.

Kitty is Jewish. She has fond memories of her Hannukahs - uncle Tim bring a new dog he rescued from families who think dogs are toys or aunt Moira and her many good whiskeys- and yet, in all her past Hannukahs there was never a period where her family thought about Santa. Not for a single second. So, of course, Kitty is looking at the real Santa right now.

The popular version of Santa is a fat man with red clothes and a big beard- Yana jokes how Santa could be communist too-and yet, the reality is far from different. Tumblr has a word for this type of Santa, but, Kitty refuses to use it. So, Kitty can summarize by saying: yep, he´s handsome.

"Ah, you must be Miss Pryde, da" his accent is a mixture of Russian and English. Somewhat similar to Yana´s accent. Kitty nods. "Excellent, I´m sorry for the waiting. We´re dealing with a problem...all taken care" and gesture to Kitty sit as the other one will be here to interview her in a minute. "Galaticus usually don´t indicate anyone to this job"

"But he puts adds on the newspaper asking for Heralds" Kitty counters back and Santa didn´t deny that.

"He does that. He even accepts Deadpool as his Herald...don´t ask me why." he shakes his head at this information. "now, tell me about you, Miss Pryde...Galaticus only told us you´re good fitting for the job"

"A job as vague as possible" she arches an eyebrow. "And I´m unemployed at the moment." she pauses and adds. "I´m Jewish"

"If you think this will be a problem or that we only work with Christians families. You´re wrong. I work on any holiday that celebrates the family and love. Any family can receive me if they so wish, I have visited some Hannukahs in my past, I was denied in some Christian families and so and on. Krampus, my friend, is not a racist or believes in ''the old ways'' in fact, he hates the old ways more than you think" Santa states calmly and speaks something in a new language to something or someone way behind Kitty.

"There´s the devil!" Satan states all joyful causing Kitty to turn her head and see the so-called Krampus. A handsome indigo man. Golden eyes. and a tail throwing a winning smile at her. "Krampus, this is Kitty. Kitty this is Krampus. You´ll be his secretary...if he agrees" and the man kissed her hand-a bit old fashioned. Kitty didn´t hide her confusion- and both are now alone to conduct the interview.

"Galaticus indicate you" his tone is joyful. Does he want Kitty to forget this is an interview? "Do you know what a Krampus is?" and Kitty closes her eyes hard and starts to mull the word for a moment.

I know I heard this name somewhere.

"Ok, I got it. You have no idea what am I" hos tone is amused and Kitty opens her eyes to see Kurt smiling like a cat. "Do you know what this job is?" and now she´s losing her patience.

"No, of course not, Galaticus comes into my room and says" Kitty pauses to mimic his voice. "Go to Santa. They have a job for you. And then he vanished. I had no idea what this job is about and no one is telling me anything. I don´t even celebrate Christmas" Kitty finishes her rants. Krampus is still too amused.

"My bad then, for starts, I deal with naughty mortals, so to speak" Kitty is listening. "Your job, if you accept, is to help me organize things. I´m terrible with names and numbers. And Santa´s elves can help me so far...of course, you´ll be compensated by your work. Here the initial idea for your salary" and Kitty is more than surprised. Is not a big number nor a smaller. It is acceptable for now. "and we´ll offer you some magic compensations to do some of the jobs. I mean, I´ll need someone to deliver messages to others deities and I know you don´t have teleportation" Krampus conclude waiting for her reply.

Kitty mulls over for 2 minutes. "Will I have to work all day and night?"

"Of course not. We all have lives. And the weekends are yours to do what you want!"

"If I give you my name..." and now Krampus chuckles.

"I´m not a regular fae. I can give you my name if it makes you feel at peace" and Kitty is surprised by this revelation. "my name is Kurt Wagner"

"I´m not sure if I´ll want to do this for a long period" Kitty begins and Kurt states that she needs to fill 6 months of work after that she´s free. "So, I´m willing to give a chance"

And with a snap of his fingers a pink fae- she calls herself pixie- shows up having in hands a contract in her hands ready for Kitty and Kurt to sign. Kitty read the contract - some laws are protecting her. As well as a law of discretion. Kitty can´t tell anyone what happens in Krampus´s working hour-and Kitty signal the contract.

"Welcome aboard, Katzchen. Hope you can survive the experience"

I didn’t like No Way Home either. I didn’t really like it at all. I found a really good article that explains the flaws with the movie: collider*com/spider-man-no-way-home-spoiler-review/

Ooooh thank you for sharing that article with me anon, I love shitting on this vastly overrated film ! "Spider-Man: No Way Home largely feels like bad fan-fic" yep yep yep, it feels like something written by the most uninspired teenager ever, with tons of meme references forcefully inserted into the blandest story because who cares about substance as long as we can wink at the audience to make them laugh, right ? the important part is that the public can go "omg he repeated 'I'm something of a scientist myself' so funny haha !!!" or "oh yeah Tobey Maguire is repeating 'you're amazing' because Andrew Garfield's movies were called The Amazing Spider-man haha, get it ?! get it ?! it's not cringy I swear" like truly the writers are geniuses...

Not to mention the Daredevil cameo played in the most idiotic way possible because super-protective-of-his-secret-identity Matt Murdock is apparently dumb enough to bother catching a brick (thrown inhumanely fast at a window on the last floors of a high building btw ?! the Hulk must be the culprit) when it was targeted at a superhuman who could have stopped it just fine with no injuries. okay... logic and coherence deserve to be sacrificed for a wink at the audience, that's the rule !

And don't get me started on Electro's little "I thought you'd be black" moment which was the laziest and weirdest way to hint at Miles Morales ever. We already saw Miles' uncle in Homecoming and it was years ago, and fucking nothing since ! give us something bigger and better written than "*wink wink wink* where is the black spidey lol", like actually introduce Miles Morales or at the very least his uncle again or shut the hell up !

But the worst reference has to be aunt May saying "with great power comes great responsibility" after so many years, when Peter already expressed this exact same idea during his first scene with Tony Stark... What a way to show that no character development happened since ! As the article says "you could stroll into No Way Home having never seen Homecoming or Far From Home and not have missed anything important about who Peter is as a character. He doesn’t grow between movies as much as he’s just got a different conflict, and it’s a conflict that frequently overshadows his personal stakes." But it's the movie of the decade right 🤪🤪🤪

The very foundations of this movie are weak as hell too. In the comics the erasure of people's memories is done by Mephisto, a literal demon, who does not care about fucking up with people's minds and lives, and it's done when Peter feels cornered and desperate because people are coming after his family now that his identity is public and aunt May just got killed ! It was still a stupid decision in the comics but at least he had a good reason to panic ! But in the film Peter decides to mess with humanity's memory because of... FUCKING M.I.T. ??? Are you kidding me ?!! What a privileged moron !!! And grown ass adult Dr Strange thinks that's a good reason to mess with innocent people's lives ??? Unreal. Absolutely unreal and completely immoral. Garbage story telling. Beyond stupid characters.

Also the article makes a GREAT point here: "the notion that Peter feels compelled to “save” [the villains] doesn’t feel rooted in anything because, again, the MCU Peter Parker isn’t rooted in anything. He loves the people in his life, but nothing that’s happened so far says that Peter feels like he must save supervillains, especially when he didn’t seem too broken up about Mysterio’s death. It’s not so much that I believe Peter would be indifferent as much as it’s a dramatic inconsistency in the way he’s written across this series." Like for real, why didn't they exploit Peter's trauma of having to fight people and watch them die ? Why is Peter not traumatized by his near death experiences (and real death with the blip) and the people he couldn't save ??? THAT would have helped explain his irrationality in No Way Home ! But god forbid we have emotions other than "i'm kinda sad that Tony Stark is gone" in our marvel movies !!!

And the visuals don't save any of it. As the article says "No Way Home solidifies for me that [Jon Watts] is a deeply uninteresting filmmaker." Totally agree. The action scenes were generic as hell, like how many times are we going to get a bland fight scene on a bridge good god, enough is enough. There isn't a single iconic shot in this film and the colors are fuck ugly, the last half hour is exactly as described in the article: "brown-grey dishwater".

In conclusion: "is this all movies are supposed to be ? Is it nothing more than recognizing the thing ? [...] The only point of No Way Home is to make the audience nod and smile at the things they recognize before the film ends." This film is soulless.

Related, shoutout to the Aerospace Engineer who was just... a soldier, that Monica knew and was helpful. That’s nice good for her. 

I know this was last episode but I loved the idea that the comercial actors were Wanda’s parents! I guess it’s slightly better knowing she wasn’t puppetting them like props, but it makes you feel bad for the two townsfolk who were awake for maybe 30 seconds every few hours. 

We didn’t get mutants or the multiverse but hey, Pietro was our boy Ralph, whose some kind of out of work actor?  

Give it up for Arcana... oh no wait Dottie... oh actually her name is Sarah and she’s a mom who wants to be reunited with her daughter? Oh okay, that’s somehow sadder. 

And of course, can’t forget, the fantastic collections of Mephistos!

Starting up with Ralph, I was really riding this one for a while I gotta say

Dottie too, she seemed just to important after episode two to forget, but again, scared mom served the plot just as well!

Tyler Hayward was almost certainly not Mephisto, but it would’ve been crazy if he was!

And honestly, I was really hoping that Fly was gonna be something cool, but instead it was a very healthy snack for a rabbit! 

And honestly, all of these fantheories were awesome and I loved participating in every single one. But, Wandavision at it’s core is a show about love, loss, grief, and survival, all of which Wanda Maximoff has exemplified to extraordinary degrees. It’s given us the first real central Marvel love story, which ended beautifully while also setting up room for a reunion later on. And it did what all Marvel properties should do in my opinion: explore the characters, create relevant and relatable stories, and set up places for the characters to grow in the future. And for me, I can’t wait to see what Wanda Maximoff, the twins, and whatever version of Vision is still out there, do next.

WANDAVISION EPISODE 6 THOUGHTS

SPOILERS AHEAD. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!

GOOD GOD I HAVE A LOT OF THOUGHTS

pietro maximoff as ‘himself’ | in the opening credits, pietro is introduced as playing himself? this just made me more suspicious about him and who he really is. it’s like wanda (since she’s the one broadcasting her show) trying to convince us, and herself, that this is her dead brother.

billy talking to us | i know tommy talks to the camera at the beginning for a brief minute but it’s mainly billy talking. i think this was a hint at his incoming powers. plus, in promo trailers for the ‘modern family’ episode, wanda’s the one talking to the camera. i bet we’ll see the kids talk to the camera in that episode but i just find it interesting that billy’s the one leading us through the beginning of the episode. plus, in rewatching the episode, pietro seems to be aware of billy talking to us and reacts to when billy talks about vision and wanda’s relationship going through a rough patch.

haydick hayward’s an ass | there’s no denying that hayward has something up his suspicious ass. first with showing the footage of wanda stealing vision’s body. then, putting in a missile and planning on killing wanda. yea, the five years were hard for everyone - no one’s denying it but there’s just something that isn’t right. we clearly see that he’s hiding something when darcy finds a file of sorts that only hayward can see and that he’s been able to track vision without telling the team. either he’s got a personal vendetta or he’s covering for something more sinister. personally, i think he’s just pissed that wanda, one of the most powerful beings in the universe, took away vision’s body when he needed it to create more weapons and whatever else he was planning. i wanted monica to punch him in the throat when he told her it was better that she wasn’t around when her mom died. bless monica for keeping her cool.

wanda’s interaction with herb | their brief interaction makes me believe that herb is just as aware as agnes (if she happens to be a victim in all this and not agatha harkness) about what’s happening. we got a hint about it in episode 3 when he tried to tell vision what geraldine’s purpose in westview was. we see him mimic agnes from the previous episode when he asks wanda if there’s anything she wants changed. he looks to her the same way agnes did when she was thrown off script. both these times involve vision throwing everything off. vision’s the one that’s been off script from the beginning of the episode this time around instead of after a weird event.

residents being in a loop or immobile | as vision gets farther from wanda and explores westview, it’s evident that there’s something off about the people. we get that shot of the woman and presumably her husband stuck in a time loop of hanging decorations and putting a pumpkin on the front steps. the woman not only sheds a tear but her hands look purplish presumably because of the cold or being stuck doing the same task for god knows how long. clearly, the woman’s in pain and is aware that she can’t break free. as vision gets closer to the loop, residents are completely immobile and stuck wherever they stand. it’s eerie and further proves that this may be wanda’s doing and wherever she is, it’s easy for the residents to be active or for her to control those near her. it could also mean that the closer you are to the hex’s border, that you become immobile as you’re farther removed from the fantasy life wanda has created.

yo-magic commercial | by far the creepiest and most disturbing commercial in the series. i’ve seen people theorize that this commercial is referring to wanda’s detainment on the raft in civil war. it would make sense since the yogurt could represent wanda’s powers and opening the lid should be simple and easy, just like using your powers. on the raft, wanda was detained with a straitjacket and a collar on her neck so she couldn’t use her magic. the island could represent the raft since it was in the ocean. ‘yo-magic, the snack for survivors’ could represent wanda being a survivor in many instances: strücker’s experiments, the battle of sokovia and the lagos incident.

pietro’s ‘part’ | when wanda questions pietro, he gets defensive about how he’s just trying to do his part: come unexpectedly, create tension with vision, stir up trouble with the twins, and ultimately give wanda grief. grief holding a double meaning. obviously, pietro did bring wanda grief when he died in 2015 but it also means to cause trouble which he has done since his arrival to westview. whenever wanda questions him about their childhood or tries to trip him up, pietro retorts with a question or makes rather meta remarks about westview.

the details are fuzzy | the comment pietro makes after a moment of silence between them. he claims he got shot in the middle of the street and next thing he knew wanda was calling her. i think when ‘pietro’ was brought into the westview reality, his memories mixed with those of wanda’s pietro or skewed them at least - it’s probably why things seem hazy to him and can see that wanda doesn’t believe him to be the pietro she remembers. pietro knows he looks different to wanda and it’s like a comment to us because even though pietro only appeared in one movie with wanda - we the audience know he’s not the same actor. this could also be mephisto really mind tripping wanda because she would remember what her brother looked like but the memories are remembered differently. enough to keep her on edge with him and make her suspect but not want to because he also says “i knew you needed me” no stranger would say that right? of course, siblings and family can tell when another member needs them. this episode really makes you laugh at pietro’s antics but go down a rabbit hole with every line he says.

the hex’s effects on people | when darcy explains to monica that her cells have been greatly affected by her entrance and departure from the hex, it doesn’t seem like monica is surprised. maybe this is hinting that monica already has her powers or simply mean that she’s putting on a poker face to hide her fear (or astonishment) at wanda’s level of power. it’s interesting to see if wanda’s gonna be responsible for birthing some mutants or at least awakening the x gene if it hasn’t already. does it mean that anyone can simply leave or that if you leave, you’ll come out with serious side effects that are possibly life threatening? monica states at the end that she’s seen cells in remission which makes me believe that this is hinting at the x gene. we’ve seen what the hex does once you go in, but what happens if an ordinary westview resident leaves?

agnes and vision | we see agnes in her car supposedly leaving town or as she claims, she got ‘lost’. when vision takes her out of her trance, agnes seems shaken and even questions if she’s dead. she also seems to confirm that wanda is the one controlling everyone because she doesn’t even let them think about leaving westview. we see more of where vision’s memory stands because he doesn’t remember (or know) that he was an avenger and that he died (twice). when she says that all is lost, she quickly starts laughing maniacally like a witch. this again makes me think that agnes knows more than anyone what’s going on. assessing what she got from vision, she’s probably laughing because it’s amazing to her that wanda’s gotten so powerful and maybe everything is going according to plan - she just possibly couldn’t overcome wanda’s control and only has a heightened awareness of the situation. there’s no mention of ralph this episode and you would think she’d bring along her husband to leave and go to her desired destination in town. i don’t know, i still think she’s got an ulterior motive and plays a bigger part in all of this.

the twins’ conversation | after sharing a sweet moment, pietro quickly calls out the obvious - the kids. only in episode 3 did children finally come into the show through billy and tommy. now, for halloween, all the kids are out and enjoying halloween. pietro, like rapid fire, remarks that wanda probably kept them peacefully asleep in their beds and didn’t wake them until now for the “occasional holiday episode cameo” so as not to traumatize them even more since she’s always been the “empathetic twin”. he seems to know that this is all in a television reality which gives him even more awareness than any other supporting character we’ve met so far. he even goes into assessing (and somewhat praising?) wanda’s handling of this whole westview reality as ethically possible. he knows that wanda wouldn’t rewrite everything: couples and families stay together and personalities aren’t far off from what they are. with this, it heavily hints that this isn’t the pietro we’ve known in the mcu or the peter from the x-men universe. to me, this furthers the point that this ‘pietro’ is just a puppet for whoever is behind all this (or just a multiverse version of piet) since he seems more impressed than anything by wanda’s powers. also, he’s been the only one to ask what we’ve all been thinking since the first episode: how the hell did wanda do this? once again, wanda doesn’t remember how all of it started which still makes me thinks she was probably taken advantage of by someone and earlier in the episode when recounting a childhood memory, pietro comments that she’s probably suppressed the trauma hence why she doesn’t remember it the same way. at the end, this could all be wanda’s doing due to her feeling so alone and grieving that she may have suppressed that memory of how this all started.

pietro’s corpse | again, us the audience and wanda are reminded that this universe’s pietro is dead. it’s another person closest to wanda that isn’t alive - harking back to her comment about feeling so alone and endless nothingness. this may just be that when wanda lets her guard down and is possibly at peace with a situation, this one being of her accepting that this is the pietro that’s going to be her brother that sticks with her moving forward, she’s reminded of the truth - none of it is real and she can’t bring them back.

vision’s breakout from the hex | as we’ve seen in promos, vision is able to break through the hex. what we were hit with was vision nearly getting killed...again. it seems that he can’t live beyond the hex either due to him just being parts when wanda recovered him or because wanda won’t let him go. either way, vision can’t live outside of westview. it physically seems like wanda can’t let him go because as he steps out of the hex and is being torn apart, the hex looks like it’s trying to pull him back into it. i know the hex was wanda’s doing but this physically makes it seem as if wanda can’t let him go and is holding him back. it’s kind of true because since vision became more aware, he’s been breaking away from wanda and she’s been trying to keep him in place and on script so that they can be happy together. in their fight in the previous episode, she says that all of this is for them as to say that everything she’s doing is for their happiness. it’s a twisted way of showing how vision can’t live without wanda since it seems that she’s the one keeping him alive.

wanda expanding the hex | wanda’s clearly gotten more powerful over the years and this episode really shows us how fucking powerful she is on her own. it’s hysterical that the base and the most of the agents are turned into circus acts such as clowns. i’ll admit i’m upset darcy got sucked in and not hayward. i’m very interested to see who monica’s guy on the outside is. with wanda expanding the hex, it’s becoming more evident that wanda may be the ‘villain’ of the show or if there is someone else behind all of this, we may not see them until multiverse of madness. still, i believe wanda is victim in some capacity - even if it means she’s fallen victim to her trauma and grief.

like how a lot of MCU fans considered WandaVision a letdown because the X-Men didn't show up.

I think that previous anon was hitting something: the people who basically see Wanda as a gateway to other (more popular characters). Like, they were so convinced WandaVision would throw away its script to introduce the X-Men or the Multiverse that they ended up being disappointed when it all turned out to be... just a story about Wanda. 😂 What a surprise.

A series focusing on its title characters? The horror! 😂

It's not just Wanda, I've seen it with other characters as well. The more I think about it, the more I believe that Marvel should have stopped with the connected universe post-EG. It was a good ride, they made many mistakes, they nailed a good part of it, we had a great time... but while the journey was fun some people have this weird tendency now to not focus on the story they're telling us at this right moment, part of the audience just watches these movies and series because they're looking forward to the Avengers movies and the next big bad.

They want more and more characters to join, but once it comes the time to explore them they're not that interested in them, so what's the point then? Dunno, it's weird. They wanted the X-Men, they wanted Mephisto, they wanted Kang, even Stephen. But they don't seem to realize that if they want a movie that only lasts for 2 hours (they hate long movies for some reason) and has a million cameos the only story they can get is entirely superficial as they will run out of time to truly explore any of the characters.

If there's something Marvel did right in the beginning was characterization, but nowadays between cameos, variants and nods to future movies they spend 75% of their time sidelining the main characters and their stories. And yet some fans ask for more of that 🤷‍♀️

MASSIVE MARVEL THEORY

In Avengers: Kang Dynasty, Kang will win and the multiverse will be opened completely leading to all sorts of chaos which leads to Avengers: Secret Wars. Characters from the Sony Universe and possibly FOX too may cameo or be part of the plot. In Secret Wars, Adam Warlock will save the multiverse. How? By going to the Gates of Eternity as seen in Thor: Love and Thunder.

This seen will look a lot like the opening pages of Warlock and the Infinity Watch volume 1 issue1

He will call upon all the cosmic being in the MCU that are going to be set up in the past and future movies. This scene will be filled with cosmic beings like celestials, the living tribunal, eternity, Uatu the watcher, and others that haven’t been introduced in the MCU yet but could show up in GOTG3, Quantumania, Fantastic Four, and maybe Blade. Marvel has also been building up in-universe gods like in Bast in Black Panther. The Great Protector in Shang-Chi, Tepeyollotlin in Black Panther 2, all the Egyptian gods Moon knight, Djinn from Ms. Marvel, and the number of gods that showed up in Love and Thunder and if the Sony Universe is a part of the story we may see Knull as well. There are also talk of Mephisto showing up soon, possibly in the Agatha: Coven of Chaos. I see this all building up to the climax of Secret War where these gods and gods that show in future movies or shows appearing in these scene where Adam Warlock, who is going to debut in GOTG 3, asking for their collective help to put the universes back together. They say that the multiverse will need a person to watch over it. It’ll need a guardian to the Nexus of All Realities, a guardian who just debuted in the new Werewolf by Night:

The Man-Thing will become the Nexus of All Realities by the end of Secret Wars. 

Now this is all a theory obviously but I’ve noticed all the recent gods and cosmic beings that have been introduced in just the past year or two in both movies and tv shows. There have also been a trend of after-lives associated with these gods, like Valhalla, the Field of Reeds, and the Ancestral Plane. I also don’t think that Marvel is going to throw away the Gates of Eternity. I think that Quantumania and GOTG3 will give more evidence for this theory and maybe Blade.
