Diwali was coming up. And you wanted to practice mehendi designs. Who was your best candidate victim other than Jake who was switching currently? He reluctantly agreed to it.

As if he could say 'no' to you. He'd literally do anything for you. They all would. You should have gotten used to it at this point.

This wasn't on Jake's agenda for the day. Life was uncertain, but with you, it was a welcome one.

As the design ended with his initials at S.G at the end in cursive

I decided pretty early on that for the mehndi gloves I didn’t want to do ribbing for the edge of it..

Because it’s pretty bulky looking and wouldn’t really fit what I had in mind. And from looking at different glove patterns I’ve settled on doing a picot hem.

It looks a bit more elegant and fits really well with the mehndi design because it has a similar look to it.

Picot hem is the picture on the right and ribbing is on the left.

Now just gotta figure out how to do that.

Finally got around to drawing Roxy’s tattoos!! If you’re wondering why they never appeared in previous art pieces, it’s because of ✨laziness✨ But now I have a virtual sticker sheet (transparent PNG) of her tats. So I can just slap em on her and go!

Outline of her different tattoos, including those not pictured, and their significance under the cut:

Syringe: NOT PICTURED BECAUSE I FORGOT IT. Inner left forearm. The first professionally-done tattoo she got. Mel dared her to get it when they were in college together, and Roxy agreed. It remains one of her favorite tats.

Fluffy white cat with a top hat: Left bicep. A tribute to her white Siberian cat, Houdini. Another favorite.

Biohazard sign: Left upper arm. A tattoo she received in high school from her then-boyfriend Philip. She had it touched up and fixed by a professional years later.

Henna: Right forearm. Inspired by mehndi or henna “tattoos”, and a nod to the Indian side of her family.

Barbed wire: Encircling her upper arms and thighs. No real reasoning aside from “it looks neat”

(sic): Nape of her neck. A reference to Slipknot – one of her favorite bands – and their song “(sic)”

Eyeball with bat wings: Chest. Roxy calls it the “my eyes are up here” tattoo. She got it while drunk once but doesn’t necessarily regret it. If you wanna see her naked, you’ve gotta deal with the weird shit too, okay? Whole package and all that.

“Nymphetamine” and hearts: Under her ribcage. A reference to Cradle of Filth – the band who got her into metal – and their song “Nymphetamine Fix”

Black widow and web: Left hip and upper left thigh. No real reasoning

Philip: Right thigh, just above the barbed wire tattoo. The name of her high school flame Philip. Got the tattoo from him way back then, and he got her name tattooed on him as well. They had grand, childish dreams of running away from their dissatisfying small-town lives together once high school was done. As soon as they graduated, though, Philip dipped, and Roxy never saw him again. She had the name crossed out when she got the syringe tattoo.
