Hello! Iā€™m sorry if this has been asked before, so feel free to ignore it if it has, but what are your plans for when you crochet every PokĆ©mon? Take a break, relax, not crochet another PokĆ©mon until the next generation? Or do the shiny versions of each PokĆ©mon? Or something else??
Hi! Probably take a day or four to decompress. Then focus on getting all the pokeamidex photos taken so I can post a massive post chain of all the Pokemon 30 at a time (image limit per post/additional reblog). Then find a good wide open space where I can lay them all out and hire a photographer to take pictures of the whole collection. Post all of those pictures everywhere online, possibly get a large one framed or posterified. Make another slideshow video with the full set. Redo the original half of my ceiling setup so that it's more evenly spaced before I put them all back up there.
In no particular order, also: transcribe all my pattern notes, redo the pokemon that I didn't write good notes on (some of them I just didn't write anything for), update my website, take photos of the evolution lines, maybe see if there's an art gallery that would want to display them for a bit, finish my pokeamidex binder, film a thousand mini videos just holding and rotating each pokemon like with duskull or appletun...
If I had a kajillion dollars I would make my fantasy dream studio museum. If I was really lucky I would get sponsored for some kind of book (series) deal for the patterns.
I'll also crochet new Pokemon as they are released, for as long as there are new Pokemon. I'd like to crochet at least one more of each Pokemon so that I can have one for my personal collection and then another for a display collection that's not in my room. I'll crochet every reasonably different regional/alternate version too (no to the Spinda, reluctantly yes to the Vivillon, iffy on the Alcremie) for an even more complete set.
Unlikely to happen: crocheting shiny versions or megas or gigantamaxes or other temporary versions because I'm ambivalent about all of those.

Taylor came on the radio today and for the first time in my life, I quickly changed the station because I just couldnā€™t do it. Everyone around me was so surprised and all I could say was ā€œsheā€™s pissing me off.ā€ And obviously thatā€™s putting it lightly. It hurts that after so so SO many years as a fan, from following her since Teardrops On My Guitar, since being introduced to the eye-opening world of gaylor and kaylor and this lovely community, that itā€™s come to this.
Even if she somehow ā€œfixesā€ this, itā€™s put such a stain on her for me and I donā€™t know if Iā€™ll ever be able to see her the same way as I did before.
Sorry for the mini rant Rainbow! I hope youā€™re doing well! Take a step back from all of this if it gets too much being our resident rant collector šŸ˜†ā¤ļø
Itā€™s so funny you say thatā€”Iā€™ve only told my husband and my group chat about my recent come to Jesus realizations around Taylor. Anyone I donā€™t speak to on a daily basis still thinks Iā€™m a mega fanā€”I donā€™t have the energy to even begin to explain it either! Because itā€™s not just something you can get over immediatelyā€”it really does feel like youā€™ve been tricked into playing her games for years, given her your hard earned money, spent so much time dissecting her art and itā€™s likeā€¦ā€¦how did I get here? Iā€™m supposed to be too smart for this!!

Mega awesome HRE and Chibitalia art dump cause iā€™m on that high rn
These doodles are on my old AU I tried to make a game with friends for a gamejam but had to drop out but still forever haunt my mind begging to be made. I'm still figuring out a lot of the plot and ideas for the story i guess and playing with ideas and concepts of the world and characters. Mainly Death and Earth personified, since they're original creations ya know, especially Death cause they're kinda the antagonist. TLDR Whole plot of the story is that HRE is dying and Death was supposed to make it comfortable for him for giving peace of mind but they were sick and tired of it and kinda punished him for being a greedy power hungry little shit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In these doodles they're supposed to be dancing together in a ballroom, the jig is up and Death is opening up to HRE and probably giving exposition, probably talk about how they were wrong to do that to HRE, why they lashed out and asking if he wants to do something before he takes his life for good. I have a few old doodles where I designed the dress and stuff, the scene was also drafted to still be in the dream world/ HRE unknowingly thinking this is reality so this was going to be his final moment before the big reveal and Death snapping. Was also gonna be a mini game maybe where you had to do a memory game to remember the steps
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are for when HRE finally discovers everything in the game/story was all just this dream world and he never got that closer with Italy or his brother and where Death gets frustrated and just has a whole rant about their true feelings about humans and the personified countries. The scythe is so shit im sorry. The dream world throughout the game keeps getting flooded with this black goo, which in reality is just this limbo space before a soul makes it to the afterlife, as Death has a harder and harder time keeping the world together and/or just to fuck with HRE and make him paranoid
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here is a alternative version where Death takes off the disguise, probably doing the same thing as the last one but ya know just a bit different. In my note I drabble the idea that the disguises are made with the help of Earth since death ya know kinda kills shit so they can't really create stuff, in this scene I also had a idea where (kinda gorey sorry) they even pull off the skin and hair to reveal their true skeleton form to HRE.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These were just fun doodles, played around with sketching with highlighter and going over in pen which was super fun. I also just wanted to draw Chibitalia, cause idk he's silly. These were kinda just warmups and experiments cause art block has been hitting like a TRUCK.
I hope one day I can still bring this idea to game form, maybe blow the dust off RPG maker or try to get a team together again to work on it but who knows. IN ANOTHERR LIFFEEEE I WOULD BE YOUR GIIRRRRLLLLLL

I am once again back on my pokemon bullshit.
Over the past 10 years or so, my love for pokemon has been fading with each new release. Starting with Sun and Moon, I began to feel like pokemon had become too kid friendly for me, as I just graduated high school and was truly beginning my adult life. I enjoyed the story of Sun and Moon but did not enjoy the games mechanics in the totems rather than gyms and what not and did not enjoy the region itself so much. After that, ultra Sun and moon released and I bought it but never even beat it until this year because I just couldnā€™t get into it. I enjoyed the Lets Go games but wish there was more battling involved so I could see my boy mega blastoise more in Kanto. I was quite excited for Pokemon Sword and Shield but once I began playing I quickly grew bored of it, canā€™t really place any reason why but it just didnā€™t stick. I had fun with Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl but theyā€™re nothing to write home about. Then legends arceus released and I was super hyped for it, and now I still have not finished it. I think itā€™s the best idea the pokemon company has had in years but I can only play for about 30 minutes before getting bored. Now with Scarlet and Violet, I was not hyped in the slightest but bought scarlet anyways and actually ended up loving the story but thought it was an ugly game, the first dlc was fun and I looked forward to the second but once it came out, I quickly gave up once encountering the trials.
Overall, I figured Iā€™ve just outgrown Pokemon but once IOS allowed emulators, I decided to get all the older games again and quickly felt the nostalgia and love for the series in full again.
The Delta Emulator for GB/GBA/DS.
I downloaded delta first, as it was the emulator I was most familiar with. I got all the GB and GBA games first but quickly wanted to try SoulSilver for DS again. At this point Iā€™m not too far but still open it up and grind whenever I have time.
ArcEmu for Apple Watch
I then learned of ArcEmu that allows you to play Gb/GBA games on an Apple Watch. I love this idea and downloaded FireRed for it but donā€™t really use it for anything, but enjoy knowing that I have it with me if I ever leave my phone.
Folium
An emulator for 3DS games has been fun to tinker with but doesnā€™t run the best on my iPhone 13 mini. Weirdly, Pokemon Omega Ruby seems to run better than Pokemon X.
Overall, I just like to tinker with the emulators on iOS and prefer the DS and 3ds games on emulators, for some reason GB and GBA feels wrong on phones.
PokƩmon Go
I have been a day 1 pokemon Go rural player, over the years I have mostly just used it for transferring shiny pokemon to my main switch games. At this point Iā€™m pretty much done with the game as they continue to make the game a pain for rural players who donā€™t want to spend money. I have transferred all of my shinies to home and most of the pokemon but will still check the game whenever Iā€™m in new areas and whatnot.
Pokemon TCG Pocket
I started playing the new Pokemon TCG Pocket game and im liking it so far. Iā€™ve never been much of a Pokemon TCG player, just a collector and this game scratches the itch for a casual collector like me who just likes to buy a booster pack occasionally here and there. I pulled a full art Mewtwo card which was cool.
PokƩmon Sapphire/GameBoy Micro
About 2 years ago, I bought a GameBoy Advanced and a couple of Pokemon Repro carts. Eventually I pulled the trigger on a legitimate copy of Pokemon Sapphire. I work full time and do full time college so I donā€™t have much time to actually play. Eventually I decided to get a GameBoy micro, and decided to go for a cheaper and more beat up so that I can take it with me everywhere and not feel bad if it gets beat up.
I have loved having a GameBoy micro with me. I still donā€™t get to play as much as Iā€™d like but it makes lunch breaks more fun at work and something about playing on actual hardware feels so much better.
Pokemon and the impact it has had on me
I have been a lifelong Pokemon fan, many of my earliest memories include Pokemon. I watched Pokemon the first movie probably over 100 times. I collected and traded Pokemon cards on the playground with many of my classmates. I received Pokemon firered as my first Pokemon game when I was 10, around the time Pokemon platinum was released and put hundreds of hours into it. Once, Pokemon X and Y released I made it my goal to complete the pokedex and was successful. I probably put 300-500 hours per game back in the day and now usually donā€™t even spend 100 hours on the modern games. Maybe Iā€™m just a grumpy old fan but to me it feels like modern Pokemon is missing the heart that old Pokemon had.
Anyways, just figured Iā€™d make a post for the hell of it and just chat about PokĆ©mon.

20th Anniversary
Namie Amuro: Style (2003.12.10)
There are at least four distinct eras in Namie Amuro's career: 1) her initial debut with the idol-ish super eurobeat/dance group SUPER MONKEY'S (which spawned the group MAX) from 1992 to 1995, 2) her major debut as a solo artist with Avex Trax in 1995, kicked off by the single "Body Feels EXIT," through to the height of her popularity as a leading figure in the J-pop industry alongside producer Tetsuya Komuro until her abrupt hiatus in 1997, 3) the awkward, not-very-well-received comeback and transition to post-TK R&B, which saw the lowest sales numbers of her career, and lasted roughly until the release of Queen of Hip-Pop in 2005, and 4) her meteoric rebound, transition back to dance-pop, and the cementing of her status as a legend, until the abrupt announcement of her retirement in 2017. There are a lot of mini-moments within these eras, and many parts overlap so that it's not exactly seamless, but that's the gist of it.
While Namie's comeback was one of the rarest in music history, the factors that led to the initial nadir are just as interesting and numerous. For one, she had squandered the goodwill of the public by engaging in activity that was frowned upon in Japan at the time: she hooked up with a backup dancer, got pregnant, got married, got tattoos, and got divorced, all within the space of a couple of years. On top of it, Namie's success was tied to that of her producer, the mega-popular and prolific Tetsuya Komuro, who was basically running a personal empire in the 1990s. While Namie's popularity and success was never due solely to the music he was writing for her, it was an enormous contributing factor to her sales numbers. TK's brand of pop was the defining style of the 90s, with no one better able to pry open wallets in what was the CD format's most lucrative era. But just as quickly and completely as he ruled hearts and charts, his music fell out of style, also as a result of several factors (mostly the rise of singer-songwriters and R&B/hip-hop in the mainstream, and personal issues involving everything from tax evasion, to drug rumors and a wild romantic life). Namie teaming up with him again for her immediate comeback never stood a chance against so much drama. So major changes were made when Namie ditched the Komuro baggage, taking the plunge with new support -- Dallas Austin, m-flo, ZEEBRA, even Teddy Riley -- into the world of R&B and hip-hop.
This brave step didn't immediately produce amazing results: if anything, Namie's early forays proved lackluster and indecisive on albums like GENIUS 2000. It wasn't until 2003's STYLE that she finally and fully committed to the change. Gone were the days of chasing the chance and dreaming that she was dreaming, Namie was now putting up her dukes, wishing on the same star, and shining more. The songs on the album were all heavily influenced by contemporary Western trends of the time, especially Black hip-hop, fashion, and culture. The early 00s was still the era of P. Diddy, Jennifer Lopez, Nelly, Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott, and in some ways, STYLE samples sounds from all of these artists in different ways, with the inclusion of a few softer songs, such as "Four Seasons," "As Good As," and "Come," which were deliberately added for variety. But for the most part, the album is built on beats, bars, and rhymes. This was still a fairly new thing to see in the Japanese mainstream, and certainly by an Avex Trax artist -- for comparison, Ayumi Hamasaki had just released her rock opus I am..., while RAINBOW merely dipped a toe into R&B on a song like "Real me," Ai Otsuka was less than a year out from releasing LOVE PUNCH, Hikaru Utada was actually going softer and more art-pop with Deep River, and both BoA and Kumi Koda had just debuted in Japan with LISTEN TO MY HEART and affection respectively, which stayed squarely on the softer R&B/pop side of the fence. Only Crystal Kay, HEARTSDALES, and maybe DOUBLE were a step ahead of Namie, but I would argue that STYLE and Namie's involvement in projects like SUITE CHIC really let the sound transition into the broader and bigger Oricon mainstream, prompting a rash of copycat records.
Even so, STYLE did poorly. It still hit #1 in its first week, but it stands as Namie's least popular record with the fewest sales numbers to this day. It does, however, have something of a cult following by fans who now look back at the early 00s with nostalgia. Personally, I didn't like this album when I first heard it -- its lack of pop and dance music, which I was used to hearing from Namie, coupled with what seemed like a desperate bid for relevancy in a genre that I wasn't particularly interested in at the time, turned me off from spending much time with it. Nowadays, I dislike this album less -- there are songs on here that I actually really like. My only real caveat is that the album is split too abruptly at the halfway point between the bangers and the non-hip-hop tracks. In hindsight, STYLE is clearly Namie still getting comfortable in this milieu, and it's especially obvious next to albums like Queen of Hip-Pop and PLAY that were more successful at capturing something both influenced by hip-hop and unique to what only Namie could bring.
This CD album comes in a standard jewel case with an OBI and a booklet that features additional photos and lyrics. First press editions featured two exclusive bonus tracks: a remix of "SO CRAZY," and an alternate version of "Wishing on the Same Star." For me, this album is more interesting for what lead to it, what it lead to, and what it said about the state of Namie Amuro and J-pop at the time. It's not great, but it's not nearly as bad as I remember it being. Avex Trax, of course, would politely disagree, largely ignoring it on the career-summarizing compilation album Finally (only "SO CRAZY" represents). After something as tentative and a bit try-hard as this, the world was not ready for what was coming down the pipe with Queen of Hip-Pop, making that era all the more wild and magical.

Searched the Black Friday sales for Miniverse
and got very little, but there are some of the Mini Bratz listed and the Miniverse Make It Mini All You can Eat mega set.
Tumblr media
which I would be interested in, but I already have it! My S.O. surprised me with it for my birthday earlier this month.
I was surprised to discover that the cute, colored backgrounds in the different segments are just bits of printed paperboard laid in there and not attached at all.
If you want them where they are, I suggest opening the whole thing very carefully and using some double sided tape
(I like this one)
Tumblr media
to tape the panels in one by one. Mine all fell out and I am not sure I got them back in there where they were before.
Tumblr media
There are lots of Mini Brands deals, like the advent calendar for $15.
Tumblr media
and 2 for the price of 1 for a few of the balls (link is to the whole search)
There are more Shadow High and Rainbow High deals than I found yesterday, though I think they're just matching Target's current prices.

trigger warning for misogyny and FGM
the venn diagram of feminists and people who are into heavy body modification is literally just me so I am 100% sure no1curr BUT I have gotta talk about misogyny in the mod community. specifically from the mod practitioners, who are mostly male. any mod enthusiast who knows anything knows that tongue splitting and similar mods are illegal in the UK and Australia because of a now infamous practitioner (butcher) Brendan Russell aka "B-Slice" botching multiple clients' implants and causing the death of one client. I've seen the case referenced multiple times, but it was only when I looked it up for details that I realized that all the botched clients were female, that set my alarm bells off and I looked more into the cases.
The client he killed, died of an infection in a subdermal implant he gave her and that's the victim who gets referenced the most but upon doing my own research, prior to that, he was convicted on an FGM charge when he botched a labiaplasty on a different woman and burned part of her vagina off. X X
Next I read about another practitioner, this one is widely considered reputable and is still in business today. Whilst recommending him to someone, a commenter informs everyone that he "cut off my friend's huge labia." Disgusting. The fact that he performs that type of procedure tells you everything about how he views women. X
Next I read a review of a documentary about another highly respected practitioner, a pioneer in the field. Reportedly it's revealed that "many of his personal motivations are, indeed, sexual" and describes a scene in which he pressures his long-term girlfriend into having an open relationship (one sided, of course.) Vile. And we clients meant to trust him to perform delicate procedures on us. X
Iā€™m also aware of the ā€œBrutal Blackoutā€ project, a tattoo project in which the ā€œartistsā€ scribble black ink over large portions of the clientā€™s body, while running the tattoo machine at a high voltage to intentionally cause as much pain as possible to the client. Clients arenā€™t allowed to tell the tattooists when to stop. Thereā€™s a mini documentary on YouTube and itā€™s very disturbing, itā€™s clear that one of the two ā€œartistsā€ is a deeply sadistic man who is overjoyed that he is paid to harm people. X
This all isn't really something that can be discussed with regular people because they laugh at modified people and call us stupid for even wanting this type of body art (tongue bifurcation, scarification, subdermal implants, coinslots, cartilage punch/removal, elf ears, etc). Neither do I feel that such a discussion would be received well in the mod community, because it is (unsurprisingly) populated by mega liberals.
But for women who want to adorn themselves in this way, it's important to know that some of these so-called "artists" are, in reality, disgusting sex perverts and misogynists. Go to female mod artists whenever possible and dig deep through multiple social media sits for information on any practitioner you're considering.

Hello yes, FNAF has once again grabbed me by the neck like a rabid dog and shook me around and now I am fixated, thus... Revamped my DCA character Stardust. Please don't mind the quality I got back into drawing after awhile and I am a wee bit rusty sjsjsj
She didn't change too much from her original design, just little added details really! Like the bells on each star point and the cape.
Her personality is more or less the same, she is a very prideful lil bot who's dream is to become a true pop idol and fully believes she is the to be star of the show (haha star puns). Stardust has a tendency to be a mega drama queen, especially when she doesn't get her way, such as staff telling her to get off the main stage and return to the daycare. It got to a point where they had to just give her, her own little show performances but it had to be within the daycare so she wasn't in the way of the main stage animatronics. She was semi okay with this, though she longed to be right in the spotlight on the other stage, but this was better than nothing she supposed. Staff often describe her to be quite a diva, while she is quite wonderful with children, she HATES getting involved in messy arts and crafts projects. God forbid she gets some paint or glitter glue on her she will throw a mini fit. Though if a kid comes up and tugs on her attire with sticky fingers, she will TRY to grin and bare it, but inside, she is screaming.
Little side notes:
-Her face plate was designed to show more emotion, which allows her to smile/frown/etc. And has movable eyebrows which rise and fall
-Once had a helper daycare attendant, named Cresent, who "dissappeared" and her memory was wiped by matienence when she was demanding where they were. Cresent isn't totally gone however, and certain members of matience have also disappeared under "mysterious circumstances" after these events
-While Sun and Moon have their own candies, I had the idea of Stardust having one of those nostalgic ice cream pops with the wonky gumball eyes like the SpongeBob pops! Each one never looks the same and it's rare to find perfect ones. Drives Stardust crazy whenever she opens one up to give to a kid, and see her own face with one gumball eye all the way up and the other all the way down
-Stardust resides at a smaller branch off pizza plex from the one we know of, however for special events the main facility will temporarily rent some of the animatronics from the branch off one so kids can meet new characters.
Annnnd that's it really! For now at least-

okay I spent the whole morning working on the dayroom and I think itā€™s slowly coming along. my mom hung the dry erase board during her visit and I am sooo pleased with it (I love a massive dry erase board!!). I put together that lightweight little bookshelf/console thing and ordered some cute little fabric storage baskets for the bottom shelf so I can hide some of the office supply clutter. Iā€™m not sure yet what Iā€™m going to do with those two little strips of wall by my desk but Iā€™m leaning towards doing a little fandom corner. in my austin apartment I had these picture ledges where I put fandom-related photos/art/cards from friends and it always made me so happy to look at. plus you could swap stuff out and move it around really easily when you needed a change. I was thinking I might recreate that on a smaller scale on one of the walls (maybe the one next to the desk?) and then do a mini gallery wall on the wall right over the desk, which could be a mix of My Hockey Guy photos and family/friend photos. I ordered some possible shelves to try so weā€™ll see! and then I have this wonderful banner bec snagged for me at a game, which I just steamed the wrinkles out of and am trying to decide where I want to put it.
I just have one big update planned after that, which is that I ordered a giant mirror on mega sale to hang over the couch. it should arrive next friday hurrah! and I think/hope it will go a long way towards brightening and opening up that space. I really love my place but its one flaw is the deep 1970s-style overhangs over the windows that block most of the limited natural light we get in the winter šŸ˜© combine that with the ā€˜70s-style lack of good overhead lighting and it can make that room feel pretty dark, especially on overcast days like today. anyway Iā€™m excited! that poor room has suffered from me mentally associating it with a job I h*te so itā€™s spent a lot of time being a cluttered and unkempt dumping ground even though itā€™s one of the nicer rooms in the house. Iā€™m trying to make it look more appealing + spend more time in there when Iā€™m not working so that I donā€™t lose a whole room to my work dread lol.

Sega Mega CD - Tenka Fubu
Title: Tenka Fubu / 天äø‹åøƒę¦ č‹±é›„ćŸć”ć®å’†å“®
Developer/Publisher: Game Arts
Release date: 28 December 1991
Catalogue No.: T-45024
Genre: War Simulation
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tenka Fubu was the first Mega CD game to feature FMV (Full Motion Video), so it comes as no surprise that the developers, Game Arts wanted to use something impressive. The game opens with footage from a Japanese samurai movie with impressive scenes for such an early title. (Don't forget - the Mega CD launched in Japan on 12 December 1991, and this game was released 16 days after the hardware.) The actual game also looks impressive with graphics that make Koei's Genesis games look like Master System efforts. Mind you, there are quite a few graphical glitches here and there. Unfortunately, this game is unplayable without being able to read kanji at a native level. This really is a shame. Tenka Fubu is one of the few games based on historic Japan that's actually interesting and not some dull lesson in history (thank you Koei) and let's not forget the 3D audio used within the game. If you have a Japanese Mega Drive Mini 2, this game comes pre-loaded.

Mini crack
Principal: do you know why you're here Lan? Do you know what trouble you're in?
Lan: look, I know things got a little out of hand in class, but no one got hurt
Principal: doesn't matter, you will face consequences for this
Lan: okay, but don't bother calling home, dad is at some conference out of the country and won't pick up, and mom is out today visiting a relative so she is super busy and won't notice anyone calling her right away
Principal: oh we know.
Lan: huh?
Principal: we got ahold of someone else
Right then Megaman, in his copybot, slammed the doors open
Mega: Lan! You started a paint war in your art class!?
Lan: no Dex started it! I just threw it back at him!!
Mega: you're so in for lecture right now
Mega: I stay home for one day to make sure the house doesnā€™t fall apart while our parents are away and you get yourself into trouble! I should have expected this!
Lan: I didnā€™t even start it!
Mega: No but you contributed! For that, there will be no curry tonight!
Lan: You canā€™t tell me I canā€™t have have curry!
Mega: Yes I can!
Lan: No you canā€™t because you canā€™t cook it! I do!
Mega: ā€¦Then Iā€™ll cook it tonight as your punishment
Lan: Are you trying to kill me?!
Mega: Donā€™t be so dramatic
Lan: I am the perfect level of dramatic!
Principal: Boys could you continue this outside and not in my officeā€¦?

Analogue Solutions Sells Out First Batch of Maximus Mega-Polysynth and Opens Orders for Next Batch
Tumblr media
Following its successful showcase at SynthFest 2023 in Sheffield, UK, on October 7, 2023, where it captivated audiences with its groundbreaking design and expansive sound, British boutique electronic instruments innovator Analogue Solutions is thrilled to announce the sellout of the first batch of its Maximus AS300. This 'filmic' mega-polysynth, crafted by company founder Tom Carpenter, represents a synthesis of vintage analog synthesis with modern innovation, offering unprecedented control and sonic potential. Orders for the next batch are now being accepted, with shipments expected in November 2024.
Tumblr media
The Maximus AS300 defies diminutive dimensions, featuring three solid metal panels in striking snow-white, housed within a contrasting black solid hardwood enclosure measuring 947 mm (W) x 435 mm (D) x 1060 mm (H). Each of the eight voices boasts independent controls, providing unparalleled freedom to sculpt polyphonic sounds. With features reminiscent of the classic analog synths of yesteryears, the Maximus AS300 elevates the art of synthesis to new heights. Each voice comprises two voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs), an analog mixer with external audio input and noise generator, a voltage-controlled multimode filter, a 16-step mini-sequencer, envelope modulation, a voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA) with velocity dynamics, lo-fi echo and delay, and comprehensive audio and CV I/O connections. The absence of patch memories encourages exploration and creativity, allowing users to craft unique sounds with each session. The Maximus AS300 excels at producing unorthodox polyphonic textures and rhythmic patterns, making it an indispensable tool for experimental musicians and sound designers. The master panel facilitates global modulation, sequencer control, keyboard and MIDI setup, final audio mixing, stereo reverb, and master outputs. Additional accessories include the AS400 Touch/Keyboard Controller, featuring 61 full-size weighted keys with velocity aftertouch and a 64-pad touch controller. Analogue Solutions is currently accepting orders for the next batch of Maximus AS300 units, priced at Ā£22,500.00 GBP. The AS400 Touch/Keyboard Controller is available as an optional add-on for Ā£1,900.00 GBP. For more information and to place orders, visit Analogue Solutions. Read the full article

Six moments you might have missed from NYFW 2024
Tumblr media
Fashion month went off with a bang in New York City. With boundary-pushing designs and plenty of famous faces on the front row, New York Fashion Week (NYFW)2024 has wrapped up. And what a glittering season it has been! Filled with bold designs and celebrity-filled front rows. New York is often seen as the cooler younger sibling to Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks, and it didn't disappoint with the autumn/winter 2024 season. Here's what you might have missed from a week of fashion in the Big Appleā€¦ 1. BeyoncĆ© sits in the front row. In a surprise appearance on Tuesday night, BeyoncĆ© sat in the front row to watch her 19-year-old model nephew Daniel 'Julez' Smith Jr walk the runway at the Luar fashion show, a clothing brand "for the culture." The singer and her mother sat together, both wearing stylish outfits. She finished the look with oversized sunglasses, a holographic Luar bag, and a cowboy hat in the same color. 2. Molly Ringwald walked the runway. Sixteen Candles star Molly Ringwald opened the Batsheva show, wearing a dramatic hooded black gown, which the brand described on Instagram as "a velveteen funeral Jackie O dream." The 55-year-old is usually seen sitting in the front row, but this season, she joined an entire cast of models aged 40 or over. Designer Batsheva Hay had spent weeks recruiting random women for the show, telling The New York Times she did it because she was 42. "I find that aging is a big preoccupation for me and my friends. It's an area of discomfort in fashion," she said. 3. Tommy Hilfiger comes back home. Fashion veteran Tommy Hilfiger wanted to honor New York in his second show since the coronavirus outbreak. He staged the show at the Oyster Bar in Grand Central Station, with the likes of Damson Idris, newest brand ambassador Sofia Richie Grainge, and Kelly Rutherford all in attendance. "We thought it was time," Hilfiger told CNN ahead of the show. "Time to come back and celebrate New York. It's iconic, and it's where I started." From varsity bomber jackets and trench coats to striped jumpers and polo shirts, the mega-brand was bold and modern in its interpretation of preppy fashion. 4. Blake Lively makes an appearance. In support of her good friend Michael Kors, the actress and Gossip Girl alum attended the autumn-winter runway shown Tuesday. The mom of four wore a giraffe-print trench coat and mini skirt with brown boots. She attended the Super Bowl to see the Kansas City Chiefs win against the San Francisco 49ers. Taylor Swift, Ice Spice, Lana Del Rey, Miles Teller, and Keleigh Sperry spotted her watching the game. 5. All eyes on Area Interestingly, to celebrate its 10th anniversary, Area broke from tradition and debuted spring/summer clothes instead of the usual autumn/winter collections. The designers drew inspiration from Sixties pop art and 1920s cartoons and studied the outfits with statement googly eyes. The designers drew inspiration from Sixties pop art and 1920s cartoons and studied the outfits with statement googly eyes. Area's collection delves into the interplay between viewing and being viewed. It explores the dynamics of essentials and the extraordinary. The collection reconstructs the interconnection between fashion and its observers. Area shared this on Instagram. 6. Storybook drama at Thom Browne After a spell in Paris, Thom Browne returned to the New York Fashion Week schedule in a suitably dramatic style. A veteran of the industry ā€“ and the chairman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) ā€“ he's known for high-production-value shows, and this season was no different. Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's poem The Raven, models walked around a wintery wasteland of a catwalk. More than just a runway show, this was performance art ā€“ one of the 'trees' on the runway turned out to be a man on stilts wearing an oversized puffer jacket, and four children emerged from the coat to watch the show. The clothes were suitably Gothic ā€“ practically everything was monochromatic, with models wearing sculptural headpieces. Moreover, the fashion show emphasized tailoring and boxy silhouettes with a sporty edge. It was a dramatic and exciting experience for everyone, including celebrities like Janet Jackson and Queen Latifah, who enjoyed the show in the front row. Read the full article
