this is something of a personal piece, completely done with vector lines. i spent over 14 hours on it, and I'm really pleased with the result. as much as this is just a silly OC drawing, this (and the character herself) means a lot to me. this year I've had to deal with so much grief, losing friends, family, and many things I held dear. often times it felt like I was simply surviving day to day, I barely felt like a person. sometimes I just felt like a mindless creature trying to survive. I think these feelings are what led to me making CLEVER GIRL in the first place. of course, she's just a silly dino robot girl, but she really is a weird amalgamation of my grief and how, despite everything, I am still here. even if at times I feel like two halves of a person, I'm still me, I'm still here, and there's still a heartbeat inside of the machine.
