Bakugou being the one to defeat AFO is such a great move when we take into account that he blamed himself for All Might’s reign coming to an end when in reality, that was AFO’s doing. Bakugou being able to defeat the heavy weight that he carried on his shoulders for so long is just incredible to me

Now, Midoriya being the one who will eventually defeat Shigaraki is also a fantastic move from Horikoshi’s side. Two formidable successors to two powerful individuals, both whom were respected and feared, albeit for different reasons,,, it just feels right that he’s the one who will defeat Shigaraki, the threat who has been looming over him since the beginning of the series, especially now when the two of them are paralleling their respective masters

Bakugou and Midoriya defeating their own corresponding villains, both of these which tormented their every move after a certain point in their lives, is just going to be so rewarding and well done. Horikoshi knew how to choose each of their fights and I’m glad for that fact every single day. I love peak

Well Happy days; AFO is gone and his conclusion's left me feeling pretty vindicated about all the slander I've been saying about him.

Not only did we confirm he never had a chance to control Shigaraki again because it's seemingly confirmed that Tomura really did kill the original quirk's vestige (which the plan to retake control looked to hinge on), but I think we can pretty definitively say for certain that AFO's not the final villain now that he's gone without a trace of him left. Tomura doesn't even care about him too much anymore, I mean thanks for getting him here but he's got his own things going on that're more important that AFO's creepy plot lines.

Though I gotta say, even I'd started to doubt he'd legit die before he even got to the Shigaraki v Deku fight. Like wow, tripped right at the end there didn't he? What an embarrassing failure to end his life on...which I guess makes it a pretty perfect note to conclude the life and times of All For One.

No matter how much Han Sooyoung racked her brain, she couldn't come up with anyone that could help. Both the Statuses of the Black Flame Dragon and Uriel were gradually declining now. [Constellation, 'Demon-like Judge of Fire', is glaring at 'Scribe of Heaven'.] [Constellation, 'Abyssal Black Flame Dragon', says he still can't use the 'Right Hand of the Void Destruction'…] The fog of darkness had enveloped the 'Isle of Reincarnators', which was about the same as it having finished its preparation to devour this place whole. Okay, first off, I love that Sooyoung isn't even calling for people who want to stop the Nameless Mist just because it's, ya know, bad or dangerous or anything like that. Nope. She's calling for people who care for Kim Dokja.

Secondly, Mass Production Maker! And Breaking the Sky Sword Saint! And Yoo Hoseong! And Jang Hayoung! And 'Prisoner of the Golden Headband'!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhh!

I actually completely forgive Prisoner of the Golden Headband for constantly scoffing at Dokja's prior requests for help because his big entrance was so worth waiting for.

Jang Hayoung extended her hand out and the world's heaviest staff found itself in her grip in the next moment. Boundlessly arrogant and aloof eyes glared at the azure sky, and every cloud in the world trembled all at the same time. [Go and rescue Kim Dokja.] Those words were not spoken by Jang Hayoung. [Constellation, 'Prisoner of the Golden Headband', has incarnated into the scenario!]

And he's focused on rescuing Dokja too! Ahhhhhhh!

Sooyoung called out for all of Dokja's friends and they freaking showed up. Look at all these giant names who care so much about this itty bitty baby Constellation.

Which is a little worrying actually because I swear this feels like some kind of big finale...but we still have 30% of the novel left???

I can only imagine that it's all going to come together for the big "Twist" that keeps getting mentioned, as well as Dokja's new Modifier and his Myth-grade story that's germinating. lmao his new name should be Loved and Hated In Equal Measure or something because everyone seems to either immediately adore him and are willing to cut down literal mountains to help him...or they absolutely detest him with every fiber of their being. 😂

Though...even the ones who detest him sometimes come around...

Well, that's just how every piece of media I personally have liked has been going lately.

It's good as it goes, but once it gets to the end it's kinda...yeah.

P.S This is just my personal thoughts on this manga at the moment. So you guys don't have to read if you would rather not.

Unless Afo's vestige shows up, there's going to be a lot of holes in the narrative. Not exactly plot holes persay, but a decent amount of things that are just going to be up in the air.

It'll be unsatisfying, is what I'm saying.

Bakugo coming back just to keep Afo from meeting Izuku and then immediately passing back out was just...bad.

It felt from a writer standpoint, someone trying to hastily fix a mistake they couldn't anymore. Or they just suddenly got an idea they, at the time, thought was really good. So they came up with a bunch of crap to justify it.

It felt very rushed and sloppy basically, and that's all I have to say about it.

Then we have the fact that Izuku and Shigaraki's fight has been out of the picture for so long. There's this feeling of disconnect. I find I don't exactly care?

Like Izuku and Tomura as characters feel too distant at the moment. That's not great for the supposed main character and his villain.

As well the reason we were looking away from them for so long was Afo, and Afo's whole journey here proved pointless because he failed. So, in turn, it kinda just feels like we were being patted out for a whole year for nothing.

Storywise, it feels like nothing has happened for such a long time, now that Afo has failed. A complete waste of time.

There could be an argument that it shows everyone's contributions brought this. But honestly, it still doesn't feel earned.

Hori didn't show enough pushback. Afo started the war disabled, then died, then he activated rewind and was on the clock. He didn't kill a single person. Apart from maybe Stain. But I doubt it.

This whole war has felt very one-sided. So his death almost feels like a beaten dog finally getting kicked to death.

Now I am left wondering why the nomu have never hurt Izuku, why that winged nomu grabbed him specifically.

Why was Ujiko Izuku's childhood doctor? Would he have recognized him if they met?

What Afo had planned in the first place for Izuku, since he had apparently spent his entire time in prison thinking about him. That comment, while chilling at the time has led to absolutely nothing.

As well, I do not know how this manga is going to finish in a satisfying way. As I said, Tomura and Izuku's characters feel so distant now. Any conversations they have or change of heart Tomura has is going to feel fake to me.

And that's how it's going to end, right?

Tomura being redeemed. It's either that or he dies. Or worse gets redeemed just to die.

But yeah, these were just all the thoughts running through my head at the moment, so that's probably why they sound disjointed. 😂

Overall, I still love this series, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. But yeah. Crappy ending so far. 😑
