beautiful & also terrible to have the sort of brain where you find yrself at 4:30 AM looking up intersections between jewishness & arthuriana. like. fucking amazing rabbit hole but. why am i not asleep. my head hurts and my eyes are sandy.

however. some cool things (that probably some of you knew abt already, but i did not!):

₊⊹ While he mostly finds your antics endearing, it also worries him to death, because sometimes you guys could be in a dangerous place and you just suddenly drop to the ground, just sleeping peacefully as if you guys aren't in a life or death situation.

₊⊹ N tries to help you by giving you pills, energetic or anything that makes someone electric, while it may work for some time, when it wears off you'll just instantly flop down to the ground and proceed to sleep for hours because of whatever he gave you.

₊⊹ But even though he usually gets frustrated because of your odd behavior, N finds it somewhat cute? it's just how sleepy you sound when you're not sleeping but on the verge of it, you look so peaceful and unbothered it just makes his frustration fade away.

₊⊹ After some time, N just knows when your about to pass out, so when you just sleep, he scoops you with his arms and take somewhere your safe to rest.

₊⊹ Already let you go with him and the others to explore... lets say you and everyone almost died that day because you simply slept in the middle of something chasing you guys.

₊⊹ Now when he's about to wander off with Uzi and V, he made you stay in the ship or somewhere safe and isolated from where their going all the time, sorry but he can't risk putting you in danger because of ur ability to just sleep even in the most threatening situations.

₊⊹ It kinda bugs him off because when he's just chatting with you, he has to keep an eye on you to not let you fall asleep while he talks, it's kinda annoying to him at times like these but he knows you can't control it so he just sucks it up and deals with his own frustration.

₊⊹ Despite everything, he does enjoy sleeping with you for hours when he gets the chance, don't get him wrong, N is not the type to sleep for too much time but for you? he would sleep for days if that made you happy.

₊⊹ N does kinda worry for you, as he thinks it may be a problem on your system and it can affect you, but when you just sleepily explains to him its just your way of being, he feels calmer and less worried.

₊⊹ In general you drive him nuts but he deals with it for you <3

Baby Cameron: Wovey May Cameron

warnings- obx stuff, Rafe, WARD (hate him), child abandonment (not from Rafe), single dad Rafe, let me know what else I’m sure there’s more.

Another piercing scream filled the air as the thunder boomed and the lightning struck.

“I know,” Rafe cooed, bouncing his baby daughter in his arms. “I know it’s scary, baby, but Daddy’s got you. Daddy’s right here sweet Wovey girl.”

It had been a month since Rafe found Wovey on his doorstep. He was so angry when he saw the note saying that her mother never wanted her and was more than ready to leave her.

Wovey May Cameron was Rafes pride and joy. At only nine months old and having only known her for a month he wanted more than anything to protect his baby girl.

Ward wasn’t very fond of the idea of Rafe keeping her, claiming it would embarrass the Cameron name, but Rafe was able to convince by saying it was his chance to “man up” and that he was also all she had.

“I know. Shh shh, baby girl,” Rafe shushed, giving her soft kisses, feeling his heart break at her terrified sobs. “I know. I know my sweet, sweet baby girl. Does it remind you of the night Daddy found you? Is that why it scares you? It’s okay, Daddy’s got you now. Nothing’s going to hurt you anymore. Daddy’s going to protect you.”

“Sarah!” Ward yelled, walking in the house with someone.  “Have you seen the princess?” He asked as Rose made her way up the stairs. 

“She’s out back.” Rose explained as the generators turned on.

“Let there be generators,” Ward let out.

“Thank god.” Rose explained. “It’s like living in Nicaragua.”

“Will you two shut up?” Rafe ordered running down the stairs. “Wovey was up all night, and I was just able to get her down for a nap!”

“Yeah, we know she was up all night.” Ward explained. “Her screaming kept all of us up.”

“Yeah, well that’s not my fault that her mother abandoned her in a storm and now my poor baby girl is terrified of them.” Rafe stopped when he heard a piercing scream and cursed under his breath before running up to her.

A few days latter

“Well aren’t you the cutest little girl,” Rafe smiled as he finished getting his baby girl dressed in a cute little outfit.

“Ah!” Wovey smiled, clapping her chubby hands together.

“Yeah, and you know it too,” Rafe smiled, picking her up and blowing raspberries on her stomach, making her laugh. “You ready to go see Uncle Top and Uncle Kelce?”

“O! E!” Wovey cheared.

“That’s right baby.” Rafe smiled, walking to the door.

“There’s my favorite Cameron!” Topper yelled as he saw Rafe and Wovey heading to the door.

“Don’t let your girlfriend hear you say that,” Rafe scoffed.

“O!” Wovey cheered, reaching out for him.

“Did you miss your Uncle Top,” Topper smiled, taking her from Rafe’s arms. 

“Hey, don’t take all her lovings, I want some.” 

“E!”

“Jeez, man, this is nuts,” Top let out as they were walking around, looking at the damage from Agatha. 

“Agatha’s a,” Rafe let out, one hand holding his drink, and the other holding Wovey who clung to his side, playing with his shirt collar. 

“Dang right, she is,” Kelce added.

“AAA” Wovey yelled, trying to match her father and uncles' energy, making them smile.

“That’s right baby,” Rafe smiled, kissing her head.

“I mean, I just–” Topper went on. “I can’t get it out of my head. It’s just on repeat. ‘Your move, broski.’”

“Bro, he had a semiautomatic pointed at your head.”

“That’s what I’m saying. It’s insane.”

“Safety off. That Pogue.”

“They’re freaking Pogues, man,” Rafe explained as Wovey’s hands moved from playing with his shirt to his sunglasses. “You know you should get a piece.”

“What do you mean?”

“You gotta fight fire with fire and defend the homestead. Right?”

“Yeah.”

“It’s better than being caught without one.”

“Listen, guys,” Topper explained, making Wovey let out a noise of protest, Rafes sunglasses, now placed wobbly on her nose. “And Wovey.” Topper corrected. “I-I’m gonna get him back, all right? I’m making it a little project of mine.

“Yeah, you should man,” Rafe explained, fixing the sunglasses on Wovey’s nose.

“Yo, that’s Sarah.” Kelce called, making them all look to Sarah who was climbing to a boat.

“What’s she doing?” Topper asked concern etching his face.

“Watch her fall and make a big drama out of it.” Rafe let out, adjusting the hat on Wovey’s head to keep the sun out of her face.

“Hey, there’s 14,000 volts in those wires.”

“Hey, Sarah, be careful!” Topper ordered.

“Oh, you gotta be kidding me.” Rose exclaimed. “Sarah, get down now!”

“Rose, calm down. I’m an athlete. I got this.”

“You’re gonna get electrocuted! Get down!”

“She just wants attention,” Rafe breathed. All the commotion was starting to bother Wovey and she started to fuse in her fathers arms. “It’s okay, baby girl. You’re aunt Sarah is just being dramatic. Nothing to be concerned about, Wovey girl.”

“Sarah, that’s not funny.”

“When I tell your dad about this, Sarah…”

“Little fried Sarah,” Rafe let out, kissing Wovey’s nose, making her laugh. He loved making his baby laugh it made his heart fill with all the love in the world at the sight.

“Rafe, your sisters crazy, man.”

“I know,” Rafe replied to Kelce. “Why do you think she’s not allowed around Wovey alone?”

Sarah screamed which made Wovey scared and caused her to scream too. 

Everyone went running to Sarah except for Rafe who stayed trying to calm his sobbing baby.

“It’s okay, shh, shh. I know. I know it was scary but you’re okay baby. You’re okay.”

Rafe was able to calm her cries a little when he looked up and saw Sarah was just messing with them, anger filling his veins for scaring his baby. Wovey let out another cry and buried her face in Rafes shoulder.

“It’s okay. It’s okay baby girl. Let's go home and get you some food and a nap.”

“Ah-ah,” Wovey sobbed, clutching Rafe’s shirt.

Rafe’s heart shattered at her distressed sob for him.

“I know. Oh I know my sweet baby girl. I know it was scary, but everyone’s okay. You’re okay, Wovey girl. Daddy’s got you.”

“I just don’t feel like you care enough,” Ward yelled.

“I said I do!”

“Yeah, you said!”

“What do you want me to say?”

“I don’t want you to say anything! All I want you to do is to take care of business. Where are the backup generators?

“Okay!”

“I gave you money for the back up generators. You said you would take care of it. Did you take care of it? Where are they?”

“They’re on back order.”

“Yeah, of course they are.”

“There was a hurricane.”

“I tell you what. You know that Pogue I just fired? Way more reliable than you.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, really! You need to get it together, Rafe, or you can go live on the cut.” Rafe let out a chuckle at Ward’s words. “What, that funny to you?” “Wow.”

“You can go live on the cut, Rafe, and Wovey would go away.

“You can’t do that!” Rafe yelled, ready to protect his daughter.

“I can, Rafe! I’m Ward Cameron. I can do whatever I want. And if you don’t start getting your stuff together I’m going to send her away! Now get up and get out of here. I’m sick of lookin’ at you.” Rafe shot up and started walking away. “Make yourself useful somewhere, somehow.” “Sarah’s not working,” Rafe said, hands on his hips.

“This isn’t about Sarah, Rafe. You’re almost 20. And you’re a dad. You don’t just get to sit back and have everything handed to you.”

“Yes, sir.”

“It does not seem like you understand me.”

“I’ll take care of those generators, okay?”

“I’ll believe that when I see it.”

“Told you,” Sarah let out as Rafe walked in the house. “Shouldn’t have bought that motorcycle with the generator money.”

“Hm,” Rafe let out, walking upstairs towards Wheezie’s room. “Wheezie!”

“What do you want?” Wheezie asked, as Rafe barged into her room.

“I need you to watch Wovey tonight, I’ve got some crap I gotta take care of.” “What? But–”

“No buts,” Rafe cut in. “Look she’s down for her nap right now. Will be for the next hour, so all you’ll have to do is wake her up in an hour, change your diaper when needed, feed her, spend time with her and put her to bed, I’ll be back in the morning.”“Yeah, I know her schedule, Rafe.” “Good, then you’ll have no problem.”

Samhain is about halfway between the autumnal equinox & winter solstice. It is one of the four Gaelic seasonal festivals along with Imbolc, Beltane, & Lughnasa. Historically it was widely observed throughout Ireland, Scotland, & the Isle of Man. 

Samhain is believed to have Celtic pagan origins &  some Neolithic passage tombs in Great Britain & Ireland are aligned with the sunrise at the time of Samhain. It is mentioned in the earliest Irish literature, from the 9th century & is associated with many important events in Irish mythology.

The early literature says great gatherings & feasts marked Samhain when the ancient burial mounds were open, which were seen as portals to the Otherworld. Some of the literature also associates Samhain with bonfires & sacrifices.

• According to Irish mythology, Samhain (like Beltane) was a time when the 'doorways' to the Otherworld opened, allowing supernatural beings and the souls of the dead to come into our world; while Beltane was a summer festival for the living, Samhain "was essentially a festival for the dead".

•The festival was not recorded in detail until the early modern era. It was when cattle were brought down from the summer pastures & livestock were slaughtered. Special bonfires were lit, which were deemed to have protective & cleansing powers.

At Samhain, the aos sí were appeased with offerings of food & drink to ensure the people & livestock survived the winter. The souls of dead kin were also thought to revisit their homes seeking hospitality & a place was set at the table for them during a meal. Divination was also a big part of the festival & often involved nuts & apples.

Mumming & guising were part of the festival from at least the early modern era, whereby people went door-to-door in costume, reciting verses in exchange for food. The costumes may have been a way of imitating & disguising oneself from the aos sí. 

• In the late 19th century, John Rhys and James Frazer suggested it had been the "Celtic New Year", but that is disputed.

Some believe it is the time of The Goddess' mourning the death of The God until his rebirth at Yule. The Goddess' sadness can be seen in the shortening, darkening days & the arrival or cold weather.

Making her sigh and level her own rifle, drawing the gaze of S/O, disappointment in their eyes.

Bronya blushed, mostly out of second-hand embarrassment that they said that aloud.

Which would not have been as bad, were it not for the other Silvermane guards awkwardly staring at each other.

Her unamused stare shot S/O down, turning her attention back to the target after a painful amount of quiet.

As far as Seele was concerned, anyone employing that much amount of pretentiousness could shove it up their ass.

Whether they be a princess (her best friend), or some pompous ass (her lover).

Seele is there to contrast against S/O's prim and proper attitude.

At least when push came to shove, they were willing to throw down.

But as for getting their hands dirty?

He will throw himself in front of you and order one of the others to get you the hell out of there. He doesn’t care if he gets hit with an attack as long as you’re not getting hurt anymore.

The Sex Pistols are ANGRY. 5 is crying and wants to go to you, but knows Mista needs every bit of help he can get. They’re going absolutely nuts helping to riddle your attacker with bullets nonstop. Some of them are even trying to cling onto them and straight up bite chunks out of their body.

Mista will want to take care of this person himself but if he can’t handle it on his own, he’ll reluctantly let the others assist him. At the end of the day he doesn’t really care as long as he gets some (MANY) good shots in and this person is no more.

Once the fight is over, he’s sprinting to your side to assess the damage. Putting pressure on any wounds, he’ll take his shirt off to make a pillow for your head. Hell even rip it to shreds if you need bandages he doesn’t care.

If there’s a lot of damage, he’ll ask Giorno to help. He’s not letting you die on him.

Once you’re back home or somewhere safe, he’s doing everything he can to take care of you and help you. Any time you need food or water or a change of bandages, he’s the one who’s going to get it. Other than that, he never leaves your side until you’re better.

Abbachio:

This person is definitely gonna regret laying a finger on you.

He scoops you up and brings you somewhere safe while he’s yelling at the others to give them everything they’ve got.

If your life is in danger, he will put his hatred for Giorno aside and start begging him to come and heal you. He’s so desperate that the others are kind of shocked. They never realized you meant so much to him.

Depending on the enemy stand users abilities, he knows he and his own stand may be no match for them. If that’s the case, all he asks is that the others leave them alive so he can finish them off….

Once that has been done and he knows you’re going to be okay, he’ll demand that the others stay with you while he “takes care of things.”

He doesn’t even wanna use Moody Blues. In fact, he’s called his stand back in. If there’s anything laying around like a crowbar, a plank of wood, something that can do damage, he’ll grab it. If not, being the strongest of the group physically, he has no problem using his fists.

The others will watch from afar as Leone makes this person unrecognizable as human. This person is literally begging and pleading for mercy, but Abbacchio doesn’t intend on stopping. Even when they’re long dead, he just keeps going until they’re a bloody pulp.

He’ll walk back to you and the group, covered in the blood of the enemy and tell everyone to back off. He carries you the whole way back to whenever you’re staying. If you’re dating, he’ll just hold you and silently cry when you’re away from the others as he tells you how much he loves you and never wants to lose you.

Narancia:

No actually. He’s telling the rest of the Bucci gang to take you, make sure you’re okay, and run. FAR. Away.

He’s literally screaming at this person as he uses Aerosmith to just unleash everything it has. If there’s cars or anything around that he can use to set a fire, the whole area will be set ablaze within minutes.

Once he knows it’ll finish them off for good, Narancia will drop Aerosmith’s bomb and absolutely destroy everything in the vicinity. He doesn’t even care if he hurts himself at this point.

When the deed is finally done, he’s rushing to you and the others, tears running down his face yelling and making sure you are/are going to be okay.

Once you’re all back home, Narancia is constantly bringing you snacks and drinks and feeding them to you. He’ll set his boombox up in your room and let you ply all your favourite songs to help brighten the mood. Once the enemy is where Giorno wants him, the others will watch this person slowly. SO slowly. Get impaled all over with thin tree branches. Giorno makes sure this person stays alive for a long time. Once he’s ready to finish the job, he will make the tree grow fully through their body, completely tearing them apart.

The others jaws are on the floor as they watch Giorno walk back over to them, the scene behind him looking like a gory horror movie. Most of them are a little scared of him right now but Abbacchio actually managed to grow a sliver of respect for him, strangely enough.

Upon seeing you, he goes back to his normal, kind self. When you get home, he will care for you until you’re better. If you’re dating, he’ll hold you tightly as he tells you how much he loves you and will never let anyone hurt you like that again.

Fugo

So he actually almost kills everyone out of complete, uncontrollable rage

He’s so angry he honestly doesn’t even check on you before going nuts on this person. The others, realizing they can’t stop him and would definitely die trying, get you to safety and take care of any injuries that may need immediate attention.

Fugo honestly almost gets himself killed with his own stand. But he doesn’t care, because at the end of the day, the person who hurt you is gone and boy did they suffer greatly

He finally calls Purple Haze back in, realizing how reckless he was being in his emotional state. He feels ashamed, but couldn’t help himself when he saw you laying there, crumpled up in pain on the ground.

When you get back, he’s actually avoiding you at first. When he finally comes to see you, he explodes. “What the Hell were you thinking??? Are you stupid, throwing yourself in the middle like that to blindly defend everyone? You could’ve gotten yourself KILLED. I almost LOST YOU.”

…if you weren’t dating already, that was pretty much his confession of his feelings for you. If you are in a relationship, he’ll finally let his guard down and just weep. You actually have to comfort him at first. He just keeps repeating how much he loves you and can’t ever lose you. He’s saying he’s sorry over and over again. Sorry for letting you get that hurt, sorry for almost hurting the others. He’s just sorry. And he swears to protect you and work on being more calm in those situations.
