No es un libro que yo sienta cercano a mi, ni que particularmente me guste, pero habla de un asunto que si me ha sido muy cercano y es este conflicto que como gay tengo con la iglesia.

Creo que conviene meditar sobre la posibilidad de ser cristiano y gay. O para el caso ser gay y ser aceptado como tal y dejar atrás ideas de pecado, perversión,  exorcismos o antinatura que sigen permeando nuestras sociedades y obligan la exclusión de cualquier comportamiento no heterosexual como dañino y condenable.

A tragic illusion

I can’t believe how many times I’ve talked with people in the homosexual movement who insist they’re born-again Christians because they believe in Jesus, can recite their creed, tell you the date they were saved, and so forth. My answer to them is,

“If you were Christians, you wouldn’t sin continually, as you do, and defend it. You would be brokenhearted and repentant, and you would pray to have your life changed.”

The world is filled with people who live as if they don’t believe the Bible, but they insist they’re Christians nonetheless. The fact is, they are unwilling to submit to the lordship of Christ as revealed in His Word, and that lack reveals that their claim to Christianity is a tragic illusion.

Part 1

I've been taking readings with the limited equipment I've been able to secure. Some riveting data accumulating. Hypotheses taking shape. My struggle with this is that the way this place works makes any hypothesis immediately come back to alter and contaminate the data.

Anyway, I've been working to capture, isolate and amplify certain frequencies from the background radiation ambient noise, so... let's see what happens.

I was caught in a loop. The deeper into the dark depths I got, peeling off the layers of the Dark Place, like the ocean zones, from twilight to midnight, to abyssal to the deepest trenches, the closer I felt to going mad.

This voice, the narration... It keeps going forever. This leads me to believe it's what's holding this place together, it's making it real. Is this the voice of the dreamer?

What's strange is that it sounds a bit like my voice.
