So how about Diana and Matthew meeting vampire Blanca now? Hihi

Matthew almost didn't believe Lucas when he said his mom was still alive, the older vampire had believed and come to terms with his wife being dead and gone, centuries ago. That was after all why Matthew had become a vampire in the first place. The loss of his wife and his child had been too much for him to bear.

And now there was a possibility to see her again. He wasn't sure if he could. Matthew and Diana were mated and married, had children of their own. He wasn't sure how he'd react to seeing Blanca again. Would his feelings for her be the same? Could his relationship with Diana be jepardized? So many questions floating in his mind.

"Papa! Lucas is here! And he brought a friend!" Pip called from the hallway. In an instant, Matthew was behind his youngest son.

"Hello Matthew", the woman said, looking up at him.

"Philip, go get your maman." Matthew's eyes glued on the woman. When Pip didn't make a point to move, he put a hand on the young boy and guided him in the direction of the kitchen.

"Lucas, I told you I wasn't ready. I needed time--."

She seemed hurt at his words, but stopped her son from walking in.

"Matthew? What's going on?" Diana was by his side, the children most likely in the kitchen with Marcus or Miriam.

"Why don't you come in Lucas? I'm sure Becca would be happy to see her older brother." The younger vampire nodded his head at his stepmother, and after freeing his hand from his mother, he walked into the house. "You must be Blanca then? I've heard only great things about you." Diana offered her hand for the other woman to shake.

"So it's true...you've remarried..." Matthew sighed, "I mourned for you, Blanca, for centuries."

She bit her lip and nodded mournfully.

The worry he'd felt earlier soon turned to anger, she had no right to question him for moving on when she had faked her death to get away from him. True, looking at her now, so sad and on her own, he felt sad for her, like he could've done a better job at being a good husband back then. But he was happy with Diana, who currently worked as an anchor for him.

"Why don't you come in, Blanca? We have a lot of catching up it seems. Would you like some tea? perhaps wine?" Diana asked, moving out of the way so Blanca could finally step inside and away from prying arms.

Diana Bishop is the daughter of the district attorney, but despite her father's significant position, Diana always behaves recklessly. she disappears all night at parties, meets foolish people, and does crazy things. no matter how many times Mr. Bishop tries to punish her, Diana always escapes. then he hires Matthew. Matthew is rude, domineering, and always says exactly what he thinks. he annoys Diana, and she wants to get rid of him but Matthew becomes her shadow. He always finds her, no matter where she runs off to.

“can you get off my back?”

“now we're one whole, babe.”

“I’m not your babe! don’t call me that.”

“I’ll call you whatever I want. and you’ll do what I say.”

“I hate you.”

“I don’t care.”

Diana is furious. she hates Matthew. but that changes when he saves her from her street gang for the first time. after that, they go to lunch together, and Diana realizes that all this time she has just been trying to convince herself that she doesn’t care about Matthew. but he is handsome, smart, and protects her. maybe she is ready to be a little more obedient. a little.

About Lucivar and Marian :

At first I didn’t care for the ship one way or the other. Lucivar was a bachelor for the first two books then all of a sudden the 3rd book takes place after a time-skip and he’s married and he and Marian have a baby. It was a little jarring. But then the author published a spin-off anthology of side stories to the main trilogy and told us Lucivar and Marian’s whole story, and it was beautiful. They each helped each other heal from their respective traumas and are wonderful together. I love them more than the main ship!
