Attention Plural Community
I am a Psychology graduate with an opportunity to conduct a research for a Master's Degree. We were originally going to study and detail how alter formation occurs in our system, but I want to produce a paper which will benefit the Plural Community, not RAMCOA organisations.
What research do you want? What research do you believe would benefit plurals and the plural community? Especially something which would bring us closer to legally gaining our rights.
Please spread this post around.

after five long years, graduation is finally approaching, and while going through my old notebooks, I came across some notes from a course on automata in natural language processing (one of the first courses I took). initially, I absolutely hated the subject. what I didn’t know at the time was that I would get the highest grade in my class and grow to love it so much that I’m now considering pursuing a PhD in this very field.

Just submitted my first essay for my master's degree, and so I wanted to give a list of what I do to help me edit papers before turning them in.
I am a big fan of putting brackets [] as a placeholder when I don't know what to write or want to elaborate more later on. I don't write my essays in order and tend to jump around a lot to prevent myself from getting caught up at any point, so this helps to catch my eye as I'm going back through the paper.
As I'm working, I will also highlight parts that don't make as much sense/I want to reword so they stand out for me to come back to.
When going to actual edits, I like to change the font and colour of the text. Typically, I go for purple comic sans. Working for so long in black serif fonts, your eyes start to skip over any mistakes, so this helps to negate that and give you something new to work with.
I don't always do this, but since this assignment was short and I wanted to give it some extra attention, I read the whole thing aloud to check for flow and ensure it all made sense.
This is just what I do, but hopefully these tips will help you! And if you have any other tips or tricks, feel free to add them; I'd love to learn some new methods.

Recently I have been reading into Biopower and Biopolitics which finds its origins in Foucault. Agamben's "Homo Sacer" has been extremely interesting, especially because I wish to do some more research in Disability Studies. I am looking forward to reading Lennard J Davis.

∼ Late August ∼ Study update
I thought the next update would be in September, but I woke up today and I saw in my email box a positive review of my first scientific paper to be published, hurray! It is also pleasing to think that it was written by a professor who is an authority in the field of popular culture and visual arts.
I’ll leave a fragment here so I can come back to it more often 🧡
One of the more interesting research achievements [!] proposed in the forthcoming publication is "Changing stereotypes as a method of creatively using the image of a woman in advertising" by [my name]. Thanks to the rich and interesting literature on the subject, the Author competently [!] presents the issue of creativity in advertising, achieved through the transformation of stereotypes.
The second joyful achievement is that I have completed the design of a large research study. All that remains is to submit it at the end of September and wait for the approval review.
Fingers crossed and at this stage it seems like it makes sense to open the champagne, right?

🌧 my study and daily reflections☕
Tumblr media
☕ When I reconnected with my friend from my old uni last year, I was still in postgraduate school and feeling overwhelmed by my dissertation. I hadn't been writing consistently, and my motivation had dwindled. My friend, who happens to be a PhD researcher, shared some valuable advice with me. She suggested incorporating writing into my daily routine, starting right after waking up. Just like brushing your teeth is an instinctive action, she encouraged me to make writing a dissertation a natural part of that routine. Although it might be challenging initially, she assured me that it would gradually become easier. And she was right. I successfully passed my dissertation with a merit. So, I decided to apply this approach to my current study schedule as well.
☕ Random motivational quotes have personally been helpful to me, even if they may seem cliché. They truly made a difference in keeping me motivated. I make notes with these quotes and place them on my desk, so I'm reminded to stay focused on my progress every time I sit down to work.
☕ Studying helps me with depression. In a way, studying is kind of an escape for me, keeping me distracted from depression, but in a good way. I've noticed that I feel less and less depressed when I'm studying.
☕ Tidying up my desk before I go to bed and always ensuring that the kitchen looks tidy, including keeping the sink empty and washing dishes. Makes me feel motivated to prepare delicious food and make a cup of coffee before diving into my study time. It's exactly what I've been doing.

Candace Owens was working at HR at my new job. She gave me a saliva drug test and it came back positive. She decided it looked like a false positive and that it didn't matter. She then congratulated me on having a master's degree. I don't have a master's degree.

Can you spare 8 minutes of your time?
I am a master's in management student in Portugal and I need people 18-30 yo that live in the UK to answer my thesis' survey ( I am working with a portuguese beverage brand that wants to expand to the UK)
I am quite desperate because I do not know many people from the UK. So, if you fit in the description above (18-30yo, living in the UK), would you mind helping me by filling out my survey? It only takes 8 minutes!
Here is the link: https://www.tumblr.com/communities/studyblr/post/765697752463228928/qualtrics-survey-uk-consumer-insights-on
Also, if you do not fit the sample requirements, I kindly request that you share the survey with acquaintances that fit.
Sorry for the incovenience, but I have till the end of this week to get answers and, so far, I have too few (below the minimum number).
Thank you! 🥹

if someone who earns a PhD likes being called "Doctor," why don't we call people who earn an MA / MFA "Master"?

Hi everyone ! I'm calling for help, or rather I'm looking for inspiration, ideas, draft of a project...
I'm a student and next year I'm going to start a master's degree; but first I must find a thesis project to be validated by a professor.
I'm going to ask for the master's degree called Civilisations, Cultures and Societies, specialized in Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquity (languages, history, religions); more specifically I'm especially interested in the civilizations of Mesopotamia or the Persian empire.
My problem is that the project of the thesis must be on a precise and oriented subject, and I really have no idea of which specific aspect of this period to study...
That's why I'm looking for help or inspiration: if anyone has an idea or something they think is interesting to study, I'm open to any type of conversation or idea !
Thanks !!
