It was Maid Day today yesterday a week ago so I got struck by inspiration to draw the worsties, and it ran away from me into a whole AU where they’re coworkers at a maid cafe.
She’s a med student & this is just a part time job, and this is his depression job while he gets his life back together. He needs something he can be workaholic about to forget what it’s like having a personal life and personal issues. He’s actually the accountant, but the new hire janitor (Izutsumi) doesn’t show up for half her shifts and is a sloppy worker, so he gets the extra work of doing her job on top of his because he’s undervalued and overworked. Of course, janitors also have an uniform to keep the aesthetic cohesion as they go about cleaning the place, of course.
Senshi’s the part time cook you only see slivers off, he’s kind and warm when you do see him and have a chat but most shifts he’s in and out the kitchen without a trace. Laios and Falin are regulars because Falin and Marcille are besties & in the same med school, Laios accompanies Falin as she visits her friend at work and gets hooked on the food. Chilchuck has to remind Marcille to work instead of chatting with Falin for an hour, and next thing he knows she’s distracting him from work too.
That’s it that’s the AU. Inspired by this idol AU fanart a bit <3
This was not meant to be birthday gift but well…… Happy bday Chil!!!

Charles whose dad smashed his cassette tape with a hammer learns to navigate the backpack cause, like, he needs to be useful, yeah?
and this way Charles has everything Edwin needs, and if Edwin gets sick of him he’ll just.. he doesn’t know what he’ll do.
but then Edwin gets the record player.
he suggests, tentatively, that Charles might play some of his “queen” if he liked. after all, if they are to haunt potential realtors away from their new office, they may as well entertain themselves.
so they take turns, switching out; edwin likes opera. he shows Charles how to waltz, chiding Charles to stop looking at his feet til they’re gliding, whirling around like they’re in the movies. Edwin’s smile is small and pleased and lovely. (Charles attempt to get Edwin to headbang along to queen results in a sort of awkward rhythmic nodding. Charles loves him so much he could die again.)
And, like. Edwin doesn’t like clutter. he doesn’t bother with the random tidbits ghosts give them for solving cases.
until now, apparently.
now he comes back from trading at the goblin market with little useless things—a cursed rubix cube, records from bands Charles mentioned years ago.
Charles is so busy trying to subtly read his book on Edwardian courting rituals (disguised by Nikos discreet manga covers) that he doesn’t realize what Edwin’s set down in front of him. he stares at Edwin’s spiky handwriting, the tidy numbered list.
“I thought, perhaps, that we might—start a new tradition.”
Charles blinks, eyes stinging. “Mate, did you.. make me a mixtape?”
“Crystal assisted me, and while she was absolutely insuffer—“ Edwin staggers, catching him with a surprised little noise.
“I love you so much,” Charles says, muffled into his throat. “You’re my favorite person. I love you so much it hurts, sometimes.”
“Yes,” Edwin says softly, hands curling around his waist. He takes Charles weight like it’s nothing. “I believe I know the feeling.”

I just rewatched (in two sittings, I confess) "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." (2015), and I have to say, this movie is just fun and entertaining every. Single. Time. It really gets me that something where they care about the details and the storytelling and - oh! some of the cool camera shots! - didn't make the money and won't be continued. I mean, ugh, why can't we have more movies like this that "make it"? It's fun, it's clever, it's aesthetically pleasing, the characters are interesting, the story is interesting, there's no on-screen smut (there's innuendo and off-screen smut, but we don't have to see it, which means the actors didn't have to portray it, so that's good). It's just a cool movie. In fact, I don't recall much in the line of swearing? Which means that there's none of the more offensive language, because that's the stuff that always sticks out to me. I love the interactions and chemistry between the characters/actors. I love watching them go from a group stuck together, including two enemies, to a team and even friends. Oh, and it's a trip to Italy, besides.
I need more modern "Man from U.N.C.L.E.", so if anyone has some Hollywood-level funding just gathering dust and interest, have I got a suggestion for you!
(Slight spoiler below)
Also, Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer and Alicia Vikander doing the accents is just fun, and Hugh Grant as the charming, chill, competent, and slightly cheeky guy behind the scenes? *chef's kiss
I also love the cuts back - here's what we showed you, and now here's all of what happened.

Okay I need y'all to be a sounding board to tell me if I'm crazy or if this is as diabolical as I think it is. Tonight (after hours) my boss randomly pinged me and told me to drop my job description and four key projects/values I bring to the company ASAP. I'm like okay... and open the doc link... and there are literally other people in the marketing department doing the same thing where we can all see what the other is writing.
No preface for why we were asked to do this and not everyone in the department has been asked to do this.... is this not absolute psychological warfare????????????

Sasori as the Brand Police is completely terrifying, actually. I have invented an actual nightmare. Your 22-slide presentation has one misplaced apostrophe and it's all, "Are you intending to present this externally? Incompetence isn't a facet of the Akatsuki brand identity."
And god help you if you used the eyedropper tool to get the colours instead of using RGB from the style guide and now the red is 0.5% darker.
