Mardi Gras colors Sunday comes every seven days. But, it’s the first day of the week. Around here that doesn’t mean anything. It’s a lazy day and so I must go. Happy day.

You know what’s an interesting observation I made recently?

I’ve seen Mardi Gras things everywhere, and - of course - their three main colors are purple, green, and gold.

My brain made the connection: Adrien has those exact colors on his shirt

There’s symbolism behind each of those colors:

Purple = Justice

Green = Faith

Gold = Power

You think about these words and they describe Adrien’s personality pretty well. His behavior is usually very just, he’s someone that others (particularly Ladybug) have faith in, and he’s a powerful hero.

Also consider the symbolism behind the Mardi Gras celebration itself. This is a direct quote from the website: In the beginning, masks worn during Mardi Gras allowed wearers to escape society and class constraints. When wearing a mask, carnival goers were free to be whomever they wanted to be, and mingle with whatever class they desired to mingle with.

That perfectly fits Adrien when he’s playing his role as Cat Noir. Hiding behind a mask and acting as a different person allows Adrien to escape his house and how everyone perceives him (ie a famous, good looking model). He’s free to be whoever he wants to be. I’ve talked about this many, many times.

I’m not saying character designers necessarily had this in mind when they were creating Adrien, but I think it’s an interesting connection that works well with his character.

this is my (recently created) bedroom. (it used to be my dad’s wood-shop but he moved it to a bigger room.)

all of the windows in my room are on this wall. they currently have blinds, but i want curtains too.

btw - i like the paint colors and so don’t tell me to change them, even if they make it look like i’m living inside a crayola factory. (that’s part of the appeal tbh)

Thinking, Always Thinking
