Watched sepang 2011 moto2 fp1 followed by qualification and now I am absolutely devastated. screaming crying throwing up etc. etc. (the following write-up aka. me ever so slightly losing my mind over how Marc Marquez's 2011 season ends)

That weekend was so cursed it's unbelievable. Not even two minutes into the fp1 session the camera cut to the turn 10 gravel trap and then there was two riders occupying the place. The first one was Jules Cluzel, who was thankfully already up and was not hurt. Marc was the second one and oh boy, was he NOT fine. He laid there on his back for what felt like minutes, camera focusing on him almost THE WHOLE TIME. I. am. sick. to my stomach!!!

Not a moment later another bike (or two actually, but one of them was off camera) came crashing in, Marc was still on the ground, just out of the hit range. It was Yonny Hernandez (who looks to be fine. he raced the next day but was black-flagged) and Bradley Smith, who ended up with a broken collarbone + bruised ribs and was forced to be out of the race altogether. His injuries were caused by him getting thrown directly into Marc's bike. How unlucky was that??? The cause of all these crashes? A WET. FUCKING. PATCH. I reeallly meant it when I say that weekend was fucking cursed (and on sunday. we all know what happened on sunday...)

I was already regretting my choice to watch it at this point but just like watching a trainwreck, I couldn't stop.

And then I saw the team's reaction (full on regret. hits like a brick)

The icing on the cake? the whole session did not have any commentary. Just pure ambient noises, bike engines, staff radios, people rushing around the track. The whole scene was so eerie, I could not imagine watching this live.

The way they were running out from the pit, almost entirely abandoning it to (presumably) check on Marc at the medical center? gut punched.

Marc missed all the sessions following fp1 (3 in total) but he did joined in for qualification session the next day. There was commentating for this and they mentioned that he was still a little dizzy this morning, his neck and left shoulder was not doing great either. Of course Marc being Marc he still wants to at least try to qualify and maybe, race. For context, he was just 3 points off the lead and not participating in this race means he will lose the championship, which in the end, he did.

It didn't last long. Marc was back in the box after just one qualifying lap.

Back in the box, Santi and Emilio was immediately all over him. The commentators DID pick up that there was something seriously wrong as normally only Santi (crew chief) would be present to talk about technical stuff that needs to be done and such, and not Emilio (manager). They discussed, things did not look good. With the gift of hindsight we can see that Marc was clearly informing them about his eye problem (which we know was diplopia later on) not to mention his other injuries to neck and left shoulder that was probably bothering him.

He has to leave the box shortly after. The commentators said they were hoping that he will be feeling better in the morning of race day, and also that Marc losing the championship was “inconceivable” before the fp1 crash*. There’s no such luck, unfortunately.

*mind you, he already have another big (very reckless and very much his own fault) crash from prior week with Ratthapark Wilairot in phillip island resulting in his blackeye but that was not enough to hindered his performance.

And just to add even more (like anyone needed it, jesus christ) to the cursed factor of this weekend, Axel Pons suffered a massive crash during the race, resulting in a red flag. He also, was not fit for the next race.

God. That's it. That's the end of his 2011 season. From a crash that was in no way, shape or form, his fault. The circuit was later fined for not displaying yellow flag to warn riders of a wet patch on the track.

He could've won. HE COULD HAVE WON. HE COULD HAVE BEEN A MOTO2 WORLD CHAMPION IN HIS ROOKIE YEAR!!!!! I must repeat that at the time he was 3 POINTS AWAY FROM THE LEAD and has more or less been DOMINATING the whole season. He was on the podium for every races that he has finished and was on a streak. I am convinced he could have easily done it if not for the unfortunate accident.

But all he got out of it was second place in the championship (which we all know he won't accept in his mind. at least back then) and a diplopia problem that would still haunts him more than ten years later...

15 Day BL Challenge 2024 (PART 1):

Okay so I don't have 15 days until the end of the year (It took a very long time to convince myself to do this challenge) so I will just do 5 days of them in the same post until it's done. I had a pretty rough days lately so I want to find a little joy in writing these posts. Thanks to @negrowhat for this challenge.

1 - Fave OG Actors Pairing:

My first OG actresses pairing is Aom Sushar and Tina Suppanad. They played in the movie Yes or No and it was my first QL movie. It had a profound impact on me at the time I watched it. So I would say they hold a special place in my heart.

The second OG actors pairing I like is Off Jumpol and Gun Atthaphan. I discovered them in Not Me and this series is so dear to me that it made me want to watch every other series they stared/ would star in.

A special mention to Krist Singto because I discovered them pretty late (this year) and I love how well they work together.

2 - Fave Rookie Actor Pairing:

So many choices possible here, I will say the first pairing that comes to my mind is Marc Natarit and Poon Mitpakdee. I love their dynamic in We Are, but they made me fall in love with their pairing in Perfect 10 Liners. I can't wait to see them again together in A Dog and A Plane.

The second pairing that I think of is Sailub Hemmawich and Pon Thanapon. It's probably thanks to their role in Pit Babe that I like them. I also had a fun time watching them in This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans, and I really want to know how they are going to portray Alan and Jeff again in the upcoming Pite Babe 2.

A special mention to Billy Babe , Li Le Wang Yunkai and Big Park.

3 - Side dish That should have been the main course:

I have nothing against Force Book and their portrayals of Arm and Arc, but I will give this to Pond and Sand. They were the sweetest and I didn't have enough of them in the first arc of Perfect 10 Liners.

A special mention to JJ and Methas in TLDHLB. They didn't get enough screen time (probably because the series may have needed two or three episodes more).

4 - Fave ship dynamic :

Probably because it's too close to home, but I would say Affectionate x Touch-Starved. I always love to see a character who needed love/affection finally getting what he was always looking for. This is the most beautiful thing to me.

A special mention to Toxic Dumpster Fire and no further explanation for this choice.

5 - Biggest Flop:

I'm pretty indulgent towards QL stories (and stories in general) because there is always something that keeps me watching the end of it, but this year I had two biggest flops in mind.

The first one is Love Is Like a Cat. It was a nightmare and I can't even remember the end of the series. All I remember is how stupid everything appeared to me. Don't let me talk about how I hate this idea that one character goes in another country, can't speak the language and fall in love with someone who also doesn't speak his language. It's not working for me. I couldn't suspend judgment concerning the implausibility of the narrative.

The second one is, unfortunately, 1000 years. I wanted to like this show so much. You have no idea how ready I was to love this show... but it never clicked with me and I was really frustrated because it seemed like many people here found something in this series. I read the reviews, I kept watching it, but it didn't work... I found no appeal to the series and I stopped watching it on episode 11. I only read about the end of the series right here.

homosexuales y libertario.

Muy joven comienza a pintar, tras reconocer su homosexualidad y reivindicarla, en 1971 abandonó su pueblo natal debido a la intolerancia y la marginación a la que se vio sometido.

Se trasladó a Barcelona.

Trabajó como pintor en edificios; en esta ciudad y pudo expresar su arte y sus ideas transgresoras de una manera más libre.

Se relacionó con varios autores plásticos de la época: Nazario, Camilo, Cope, etc. y artistas: Enric Majó, Ventura Pons, Jesús Garay, etc. Vivió en la Plaza Real de la capital catalana, donde tenía instalado un altar con una imagen de la Virgen de la Asunción llena de flores en el balcón.

Muy conocido en las Ramblas barcelonesas, donde se paseaba travestido sin pudor con ropas que mezclaban la religiosidad típica andaluza con las estéticas más vanguardistas; tampoco tenía ninguna reparo en desnudarse íntegramente en medio del paseo, en 1976 por este motivo fue juzgado por escándalo público, por la justicia franquista y su Ley de Peligrosidad y Rehabilitación Social.

Montó varias exposiciones pictóricas en varios locales: bares, librerías, galerías, museos, etc; espectáculos teatrillos y procesiones, donde mostró su estética kitsch particular y original: abanicos, vírgenes, beatas, viudas, velatorios de difuntos, plañideras, cementerios, iglesias, monaguillos, ángeles, flores, mantillas, peinetas, faralaes, saetas, etc.

El 27 de octubre de 1978 realizó un gran mural en la Bodega Bohemia de Barcelona y en febrero de 1980 otro para el colegio público La Esperanza de Cantillana.

Militó en el Frente de Liberación Gay de Cataluña FAGC. “Libertario o llibertatari”, como le gustaba definirse, participó activamente en varios actos culturales promovidos por el movimiento anarquista, Jornadas Libertarias Internacionales de julio de 1977, etc. y por CNT-AIT.

Ocaña murió el 18 de septiembre de 1983 en un hospital de Sevilla, Andalucía, a consecuencia de las complicaciones médicas surgidas de las graves quemaduras sufridas una semana antes en un desgraciado accidente producido cuando su disfraz de Rey Sol, hecho con papel y telas, se le prendió fuego a causa de unas bengalas durante una fiesta infantil en su pueblo natal.

Sus obras las firmó bajo el nombre de Ocaña, Pérez y Ukan, su segundo apellido en árabe. En 1978 el director catalán Ventura Pons le dedicó su primera película, Ocaña, retrato intermitente, donde el pintor habla en primera persona sobre su vida.

El dibujante Nazario le rindió un homenaje en su cómic Alí Babá y los 40 maricones 1993. En 1985 Andrés Ruiz López obtuvo el Premio Nacional Calderón de la Barca de dramaturgia por Ocaña, el fuego infinito y Marc Rosich escribió la obra teatral Copi y Ocaña en el Purgatorio 2004.

Su familia posee gran parte de su obra pictórica, de la que expone una parte en el bar de su propiedad.

SCUOLA: “A NATALE PUOI”, QUARTA EDIZIONE A CAIAZZO TRA EMOZIONI, CULTURA E TRADIZIONE

Manifestazioni al via nella sede centrale dell’IC “Aulo Attilio Caiatino” con l’accensione dell’albero di Natale.

CAIAZZO - L’Istituto Comprensivo Aulo Attilio Caiatino di Caiazzo (CE) si prepara a incantare ancora una volta il territorio con la IV edizione dell’evento “A Natale puoi…”, un ciclo di manifestazioni che promette di far vibrare il cuore di grandi e piccini, grazie a momenti di condivisione, arte e riflessione.

Si parte lunedì 9 dicembre alle ore 16:30 con l’attesissima cerimonia “Ti metto in luce”: l’accensione dell’albero di Natale, che trasformerà il cortile della sede centrale in un luogo di magia e incanto. Un appuntamento reso ancora più speciale dalla partecipazione della giornalista e inviata Daniela Volpecina, e dalla guida della dirigente scolastica Silvana Santagata, da sempre promotrice di iniziative che uniscono cultura e comunità. Nell’occasione dell’evento verrà presentata e scoperta una riproduzione in ceramica del celebre dipinto “Il violinista verde” di Marc Chagall, pittore russo appartenente alla Scuola di Parigi, realizzato 100 anni fa. L’opera è stata creata dagli alunni della Scuola Secondaria di Primo Grado nell’ambito di un progetto PON, coordinati dalla professoressa Filomena Puorto. Presente e si esibirà per l’occasione la Corale di Dragoni PF PoliFolli pazzi per la Musica, diretta dal Maestro Caterina Di Lorenzo.  

Il ricco calendario proseguirà con eventi imperdibili, tra cui il tradizionale Concerto di Natale che si terrà venerdì 20 dicembre alle ore 18:00 nella suggestiva cornice della Cattedrale in Piazza San Stefano. Ma la magia non finisce qui. Durante tutto il periodo natalizio, l’Istituto Comprensivo si animerà con un fitto programma di iniziative, distribuite nei vari plessi scolastici, per celebrare il Natale in tutte le sue forme e significati:

10 dicembre - ore 17:30 a Piana di Monte Verna accensione dell’albero e arrivo di Babbo Natale;

17 dicembre - ore 16:30 a Caiazzo (Scuola Primaria) Corale in Cattedrale;

De todo lo que postee ayer o descubrí.. me quedo con que Alex RINS [que ganó esa carrera en el circuito de las AME_RICAS en TEXAS o mi último sitio que he visitado fuera de ESPAÑA este 2024..y el cual estaba en tamaño real como fotografie en la tienda SUZUKI donde me compre mi 1era moto en 2018 con lema HERENCIA LEGENDARIA entrando justo cuando a sus puertas a un CULTURISTA le dio un ATAQUE EPILEPTICO y se abrió la CABEZA..Suzuki GSX125S que no sabía conducir pero iba a dar 5 clases para llevarla con el carnet de coche y que estrene yendo al monumento del SAGRADO CORAZON del CERRO DE LOS ANGELES aprovechando que iba a ir por las fiestas de LA VIRGEN DE LOS ANGELES DE GETAFE que lo une el paseo de JOHN LENNON a ver a OBK que debutaron con cd LLAMALO SUEÑO seguido de cd MOMENTOS DE FE y que dejaron de ser un dúo tras el cd ULTIMATUM al que siguio cd REVOLUCION y cd DE CORAZON grabando luego su directo en MEXICO ]..le dijo a JORGE MARTIN cuando se DISCULPABA por tirar a ALEX MARQUEZ [se le quedo enganchada una pierna con la rueda como al malogrado Luis SALOM en una de las 2 veces que le tiro AXEL PONS que lleva 3 años caminando descalzo por el mundo en búsqueda de su unión con ALA O DIOS]..hablando de MUY MALA SUERTE [aunque los comentarios del video hablaban de KARMA porque en su día se quejo de su hermano o Marc MARQUEZ]..pues ALEX RINS [que en otra carrera en INDONESIA=TSUNAMI.. se tuvo que tirar de la MOTO al incendiarsela] le interrumpe para decir que luego van al concierto de RAW ALEJANDRO cuya 1era canción fue INEVITABLE , su último single DILUVIO tras justo antes publicar su dueto con miguel BOSE "Si te pegas" del que destaco que solo lo vi en MEXICO [donde emigro] y 2 veces [FORO SOL en MEXICO DF ..22_11_08=2 días después de encontrarme la escultura del libro del APOCALIPSIS 1.3 que lo anuncia y 4 días después de ver el último concierto de la historia de REM=FASE DEL SUEÑO..presentando en Auditorio Nazional de MEXICO el cd ACCELERATE o entre cd REVEAL + CD AROUND THE SUN y el último cd COLLAPSE INTO NOW del que ya no hicieron gira..por cierto tanto REVEAL como AROUND THE SUN me los firmo en 2 sitios diferentes KEN STRINFELLOW de THE POSIES al colaborar en ellos : en sala ROCKVILLE=canción del cd RECKONING de REM y en el FOTO_MATON..y tras ver a REM me compre a la salida del Auditorio nazional su recopilatorio IRS YEARS que cierra IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT y su DVD WHEN THE LIGHT IS MINE] y en el ESTADIO DEL ATLANTE en CANCUN [presentando cd CARDIO=1/6/10]..por cierto..la canción que más me gusta de BOSE es la APOCALIPTICA "GULLIVER" donde dice PENSAR QUE PODIA HABER SALVADO..para luego repetir SALVADO, NO SALVADO

Hi Waru! I wanted to ask you because you seem to know a lot about moto2 stuff, but how much of a difference does it really make if you’re on a kalex or boscoscuro? Or is it more the team itself that makes the difference? (and the rider ofcourse)

Hi there anon 👋👋👋👋👋

It really depends on the rider and the team really. Let's go back for a moment to 2022, when Arón said that 'Boscoscuro has to be ridden like Marc Márquez, while a Kalex is ridden like Álex Rins' he had ridden both bikes, so he does understand. This tells us that a Boscoscuro is an aggressive bike, which doesn't necessarily mean their rider has to be aggressive, and a Kalex is a gentle bike. So kind of a Kalex is like a Suzuki/Ducati/Yamaha while a Kalex is more like a Honda or a KTM.

Now each bike has their own differences. A Boscoscuro chasis will prefer a flowy track such as Aragón, Philipp Island, Argentina (which is also a low grip track) or Silverstone. The Kalex on the other hand seems to work better in twisty and Stop&Go tracks such as Catalunya or Austria. On top of that, until the Pirellis, the Boscoscuro seems to work better in low grip conditions, Pedro himself said that, hence why Fermín did such an amazing job in the Asian and Australian leg of the championship last year.

This year, however, the Boscoscuro bikes have said over and over again that their bike prefers the soft compound. Alonso in more than one occasion has said that the bike demanded the soft tyre. And the MSI team had said the choose to put the hard compound to study how it'll work when they are forced to use it, meaning that bike has clearly a preference. This make me think that they might have a grip issue this year. It also adds up when you look at the results and you see that Kalex has been better than them at their strong tracks. Maybe it's just an adaptation issue that will be solved by next year as in general Boscoscuro has a solid and competitive package.

Now, about the teams, it influences in 2 ways. The first one is when a suplier like Kalex has that many teams (12) and riders (24), they have to choose the 'top' teams. Meaning not all the teams have the same material or get it later. On the top of my mind, top teams are KTM, Italtrans, Marc VDS, Gresini and Yamaha. This blows my mind because Fantic had better results but is not a top team according to to Kalex.

That same thing applies to the riders because top teams will have more saying than other, and that translated on how they help or hinder the bike development.

On the other hand, as Boscoscuro is as small manufacturer, they allow all riders to give their opinion and feelings on the bike. It also allow them to share all the date. They still decided who get the material first, and so far it's been first Fermín, second Alonso then the MSI team. This might change now that the Marc VDS also got the bike, and apparently Yamaha master camp too.

The second way a team can affect the riders, it's the teams dynamic. This is why a rider like Roberts struggle in Italtrans, but is doing much better in American Racing. Their rider advisor (ex-rider) took him under the wing and help him settle in London where most of the team lives. This helped him more settle. That same team dynamic is also what makes some rider feel more heard or ignoring and increase their confidence. An example of this is Arón, in the Pons team he was very heard and he was given what he asked, however what he needed is someone who told him 'no, focus on what you have before making the changes' whenever he got lost, and he got it with Jairo Carriles.

Now rider's innate riding style does affect because it means they will need to change their riding style more or less. It's also about how quic they adapt or can change their riding style and their ability to change it.

Overall, it depends on each rider, but overall, I will said it's the rider's riding style and their ability to change it is what will affect more.
